They told me the Natasha was their senior color specialist and would be able to help me with my highlights. Let me start out with that for the price they are charging they should do much better. I previously had my hair done by an Aveda Salon in LA, so I had asked my old hairstylist for the formula that she used. When I went to Natasha I came prepared with pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like, which were pictures of me and with the formula in hand. I even emphasized that I wanted them to look natural. She not only made the highlights look so contrast but they were yellow and I had bleach spots, which I found when I got home. The highlights looked as if they were grown out for a month and when she was washing my hair she rubbed on the area where there was a bleach orange spot that she created. My issues here is that they placed me with "Senior Color Specialist" yet how could someone do yellow highlights and leave you with orange spots. I called the next day and they offered to correct, although Nina made a effort to correct what was done I would not recommend coming here to get your hair highlighted UPDATE REVIEW I was promptly contacted by the salon owners after posting my review and offered to have my hair done again to my satisfaction. I have an appointment to go back, I honestly appreciated their attentiveness to what occurred.

Horrible experience ever. I went in to get highlights and color. My hair was past my bra line and I walked out with shoulder length. My hair fell out in chuncks beacuse they used to my beach and developer to speed up my process. They said my hair was damaged and breakage was expected. But I hadnt color my hair in over a year and I had curls so mouse was the extended of my damage. I had no option but to cut it off. And even then you could still see how fried my hair was. They have a no refund policy and I was forced to pay for them to destroy my hair. Please be careful and chose a stylist that carefully measure when coloring hair and has time for you. Not one who use a higher volume level to speed up your process to get you out quick and make more money. Or you'll end up like me. I rate this place horrible and would not recommend it, not only because of what happened but because the management sucked, never apologize and could of addressed my situation differently but chose not to. read more

Courtney Cary is a fabulous manicurist/pedicurist. I live in Baltimore City and have been driving to Annapolis every two weeks to see her - she's that good. She is very knowledgeable about her products and can always tell me what a color will look like on my nails & against my skin - not just the color in the bottle. She is very creative and can paint any design - raven, oriole, shooting star, palm tree, holidays, etc. She also makes great suggestions about nail colors and glitter, even when I have no idea of what I might want at a particular time. She is very health conscious, so no worries about bringing home something unexpected. Courtney is also a very interesting person and a lot of fun. I always learn something new and interesting while talking with her. I give her my highest recommendation. read more

I came to Ascension after having abreally bad experience at another salon in Severna Park. I initially met with Michelle and we had a consultation. But due to scheduling I was unable to work with her. But she reassured me that everyone was great and I would be happy. So I scheduled and met with Joe. He is absolutely fabulous! He really listened to me. He could see the apprehention on my face and he listened to what I wanted. He actually took the time to do samples, so I could see what I wanted. I could not be happier. LOVE THIS PLACEI cannot say enough about the Ascension Salon. I moved to MD from Massachusetts and was traveling back and forth to get my highlights and lowlights done because I was so disappointed with every place I tried. I was recommended to Megan by a close friend of mine and boy was I thrilled. My hair color was AMAZING! Not only was my hair amazing but the price was great and I didn't feel like I had wasted an entire day at the salon. I get my acrylic nails done every two weeks from Courtney. I love that she uses high quality products (Shellac system), does not use drills, and does a really good job! The last place I went, my nails would lift and sometimes chip and I would be going in for nail repairs often. I think in the 6 months I've been going to her I've only had to go for one nail repair and it was because I'm really hard on my nails! She also provides enjoyable conversation and is very experienced with healthy living. I recommend her highly! read more

Donna Davino is wonderful. She takes her time to listen to you and she will tell you what she thinks too. In the end, she will do as you want. I have followed Donna around for the past 20 years, and so glad she is now at Ascension forever! She just did a Cezzanne treatment on my hair, and like the other client said, it is fantastic...and my color is out of the world. I highly recommend Pat Quesenberry. She was amazing!! I have never had someone cut my hair the way she did. She actually listened to what and how I wanted it cut. When Joe was off work due to an injury, they called me and scheduled me with Darlene. She's great too. It is like a family. Everyone there is attentive, skillful, and friendly. I have very coarse and frizzy hair and over the years I have had alot of keratin straightening treatments with minimal success.......until I had a Cezanne treatment with Pat Quesenberry! This place is great. My regular stylist has been out with an injury and Megan has been filling in for me. The staff will work with you to meet your personal schedule. If you're looking for an excellent, relaxing pedicure, ask for Courtney. My typically dry, cracked feet have never felt softer, and the massage helped immensely with the swelling and pain from my plantar fasciitis. She was even able to accommodate my allergies with the products she used. Great service. read more

I came from customer service from my past, if the hair stylist was running late even though they were physically there, you need to at least let the client know. Sam ran 15 minutes late because she was working on a social media video. I asked to speak to the owner and asked him to adjust my hair price that day (more the principle of it) and he said he could not do it and that it was his fault and patted my on the back. Then I was like okay, then he came back and said Sam did not want to do my hair because she thought I wasn't going to tip her or give her the full price of my hair appointment. And you know what, I went through got my hair appointment, tipped her full price and was respectful. But my honest opinion, I was disappointed, and felt that the owner (male husband) was a complete dick and if I could I would give zero stars. Maybe next time someone will think before they treat someone a certain way, especially if they do not know them. I do have to say, there are amazing people who are friendly and kind that work there. However coming from a high end salon which I paid double the price, Levity needs to treat their customer better and be more fair bcuz hubby you are a small fish compared to where I came from.
