Had a WONDERFUL experience at Bella Via! Should have posted this sooner but life happens...Maryanne was so professional and knowledgeable. I had let my grey overtake my hair a little and let my highlights grow out, so I needed a little sprucing up for a wedding next weekend. Maryanne put in a good amount of foil highlights and color too - making sure ALL the grey was nicely covered. Then under the dryer I went to bake for a couple of minutes. I got a toner and a silky conditioner. Loved the little neck massage during the shampoo, toner and conditioner time! BONUS! Maryanne cleaned up my cut beautifully and styled my hair, making me look super for my dinner date with the hubby! I'll mention she was also teaching and training her apprentice too! Impressive! I had never been to Bella Via before, I went on a whim with a referral from a co-worker but I'll definitely be back! I love being treated like a princess by a professional stylist! I cannot offer enough superlatives for my decades long experiences with Bella Via Salon. I even drive from Columbia to Edgewater, just to have Mary Ann, the owner, as my stylist. I am constantly approached by strangers who complement me on my hair cut and ask who my hairdresser is. Mary Ann is a perfectionist who always cuts my hair so that I have minimal upkeep. For days after each shampoo, I can just spray some water on my hair and it looks as good as new. The secret is how Mary Ann cuts my hair and the use of products she recommends. It's extremely unnerving to find a new stylist. I read some information about this salon and thought I would try it out. I'm very picky about my hair and have had bad luck with some hairdressers not listening or taking the time to find out what I need. When I arrived for my appointment with April I was greeted by the owner who was super friendly. Then April talked to me for 10-15 minutes to learn about my routine and what I was comfortable with color wise. She showed me samples and talked through her ideas before she mixed any color. I also shared how my hair should be cut dry since it shrinks up. Needless to say my experience was just awesome. I love love love my color and the cut is just what I asked for. I'm new to the area and could not find a stylist for my curly hair. I tried 4 other places and hadn't been able to find anyone who can incorporate the curls into a good-looking hair style. My last stylist cut my hair, then told me I would have to finish styling it on my own because she didn't know what to do with curly hair. Then I met Chrissy at Bella Via. Update: Just got an absolutely AMAZING haircut by Mary Ann!! The skills she learned at her HSM training are bar none!!! I cannot say enough about how wonderful my cut is! I have a general idea of what may and what may not work with my hair, and I leave it to Mary Ann to do her magic and she came through with flying colors!!!
