Hands down the best! I have been coming here for facials on and off for years. Whitney is so sweet and caring with the biggest heart; she makes sure you are comfortable, explains what she is doing step by step, and asks what your skin goals are to get every detail in what you want and need for your skin. She is extremely knowledgeable in the products she uses and is welcoming to any and all questions you may have. Her salon is extremely clean and super cozy. My husband and daughters are hooked as well :) Other services we have had are haircuts, hair treatments and pedicures. Which are all just as amazing!! Awesome salon! Everyone there is very nice and friendly and its immaculate! When walking into Whits End, I'm always greeted with a smiling face behind the counter and I never leave without having laughed!! Whitney and Katie always make me feel very welcome when checking in. Stephanie is the best!! My nails have never looked this good. Plus, she keeps my nail tools in a box with my name on it and only uses them for my nails, so there isn't any risk of picking up someone else's germs!!! The massage chair when having a pedicure is so nice and relaxing! I've had blowouts from all of the stylist and each time I've been very satisfied. Occasionally I will call and ask if they can fit me in for a blowout later in the day or the following day and they make every effort to accommodate my request. I know there are several places to go on Kent Island for nails, but there is no place better than Whits End. Service and price are the best! read more

I purchased a Groupon for 3 facials. My first time going, I wasn't really impressed...the esthetician did not really tell me what she was doing and then before I knew it was over-she never did any extractions? I asked her and she said that there were no problem areas - I've had PLENTY of facials and not once have I ever been told this, especially because I have acne prone skin and tons of whiteheads and blackheads and clogged pores. And then when I went to take off the head band once she was done and left the room, there was still residue from the mask on my forehead!!!! Oh, and I still had remnants of eyeliner on my face AFTER the facial...isn't this supposed to be a cleansing procedure? Not impressed. So because I had already already purchased a Groupon, I made the mistake of scheduling a second appointment. No reminder call, so I decided to call to make sure it was still on. When I called I was told my appointment was 430, although it was scheduled for 5. No big deal, I was getting out of work earlier than expected...but was kind of annoyed that their schedule didn't match what they told me. I happened to get stuck in traffic because of an accident and arrived at 437 instead and I called ahead to let them know. I expected that maybe it would be cut a little short but she ended up cutting a total of 15+ minutes out of the facial...considering the time mixup and that I was the last client of the day, kind of annoyed. This time I asked about the extractions before the facial and was told again that there were no problem areas when I have an active breakout??? She literally spent 20 minutes on my face and 20 massaging my neck??? I can wash my face and apply products and use a steamer at home. The neck and arm massage is usually while the mask is on...not just because. It was probably the most disappointing facial I've ever had. I really can't tell if she doesn't know what she's doing or just doesn't want to...Also, I think she's the owner and she just looks annoyed to be there...umm okay? I was so disappointed with both these experiences that I was just not going to go back for the third facial, I've also never not tipped anyone but today was just awful.... I ended up calling Groupon and they refunded my money, thankfully. The discounted Groupon price was not worth it for the quality of service I received...it just was poor all around.The place looks nice from the outside and is clean, but doesn't make up for the lack of quality in the service. read more

Don't go. This salon has a pretty web site which is a cover up for bad service and technicians who need further training in hair color. Went in for highlights, but it was recommended to go blond and have the existing highlights blend in. Now my hair is ORANGE! Tried speaking with the owner and she was not willing to listen at all. She would not let me finish explaining the issue and all she did was give me excuses and denied everything that happened. She asked what would I like for her to do....? I said give me the refund for me to get this fixed somewhere else. She said, "NO WAY" " she will refund the tip. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!. This was a gift card purchase, as far as I'm concerned they stole my money and I have ORANGE hair to prove it. read more

2 bad experiences and NEVER AGAIN! 1st, I had my hair cut, not a difficult style at all, the shape was all wrong, I called, the stylist agreed to see me the next day to FIX it. What she did to me made me cry when I returned home, I had 2 hair cuts on the same head. Went to another salon begging for help, they said nothing could be done until I had about another months worth of growth...Then,2nd experience, (why I gave them another shot I'll never know) took my daughter in for highlights, she is a natural dirty blond, wanted to perk it up. Told the stylist I did not want bleach blond or drastic highlights, just soft and natural. When she was done, the highlights could not even be detected, looked as if nothing was done at all. Spent 2 hours there, and $130, and nothing looked different. I called the owner the next day, she said she heard the conversation, that I said I did not want it to be drastic, and that she would not put more highlights in at no cost because she heard the conversation, that there would be an additional charge to add more highlights. I said at any time did you hear me say that I wanted to spend 2 hours of my time, $130 of my dollars, and by no means did I want to notice the highlights. NO!!!!! We paid for ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING...Not one soul thought she had anything done to her hair...Do NOT go to this salon...I won't be burned a 3rd time!!! read more
