The doctor is not the problem... The billing team is. I had my baby there and received the fun itemized bill. First off, the financial lady in the beginning of my pregnancy said with my insurance, that I would not pay more than my copay. *I never believed this (too good to be true,) but why give all the new pregnant Mom's this financial meeting and the blue folder if you can't follow thru. My bill from the hospital has 5- $45 ibuprofen, $10.25 for Tylenol, $12.75 gabapentin...$315! That's crazy for over the counter medication. Also, I received a separate bill for my son with the incorrect spelling and a bill for myself with the wrong birthdate. Plus the many other separate bills that I "supposedly" wasn't going to get. read more

I spent over a week visiting my relative at this hospital and was very impressed with the cleanliness and the friendly atmosphere. The patient care here has been excellent--nurses, support staff, respiratory therapists, and physical therapists are all caring and genuinely interested in making sure the patient feels better. The team is very attentive, and their professionalism really stood out. Dr. Kim is incredibly compassionate and takes a very thorough approach to her care. She listens carefully and is cautious in her recommendations, making sure to cover all bases before proceeding. I really appreciate her thoughtful and considerate approach to patient care! While there isn't a gift shop, there is a cafeteria downstairs and a Starbucks kiosk that's open Monday through Friday, which is convenient. Overall, a very positive experience with great patient care! read more

Brought my 2 year old daughter here for pink eye treatment. Upon arrival the I was greeted by the intake woman whom had one of the nastiest attitudes I've ever wittnessed. After a brief horrible interaction and being turned away away as it "isn't that important" I got my child and went to dell childrens which was so much more welcoming and made us feel at home. Will for sure never come back here again, if you hate your job that much gtfo and go find somewhere else to work that doesn't cater to people in need. Interaction was 2/15/26 at 10:45am No clue what the ladies name was but her position needs to be reevaluated and new employee instated as that attitude was for the birds. read more

I have been in a battle for financial assistance and a payment plan since February. The communication is sub par. I have been brought around in circles to contact billing then customer service and back to billing. The care was good but this is just ridiculous. I apply for financial aid in March, they then say I didn't add bank statements so it was denied and to resubmit. (Which is true, I did mess up but only found out after I called) I then resubmit in May and don't hear a peep. I call in July and they say still waiting on a decision. While in contact In July they set up a payment plan to start in September, now September comes and no payment is available. I call customer service to find out that financial assistance is denied. They then confirm the payment plan but say it looks to be an error on there end and to call a provided number (which doesn't work) I then get ahold of billing and they say I don't have a payment plan and to call customer service again. Well what one is it?? I am at a loss just trying to pay my bill. read more

My dad was admitted after a stroke and already had a previous spinal cord injury. After he was transferred upstairs from ER, the night shift Dr Amanda Hullen , decided to change his previous medications (from the spinal cord injury from 5 years ago) for the night and caused him to have spasms all night. Thank God it did not throw him into Autonomic Dysreflexia. It was very dangerous and completely incompetent! read more

My wife was admitted to Ascension Seton Williamson last November, and the treatment and care she received from the doctors and nurses was excellent. They were compassionate, attentive, and truly made a difficult time easier. Unfortunately, my positive feelings end there. Ascension Seton's customer service team is, without question, the worst I have ever dealt with. We've been due a large credit since May 2025, and I've spent countless hours on the phone with numerous representatives. Each time, I'm given promises that the issue will be resolved--yet nothing ever happens. It's become clear that these promises are made simply to end the call, not to take any real action. I've worked with many customer service teams over the years, and Ascension Seton's is by far the worst. The lack of accountability, follow-through, and respect for patients and their families is unacceptable. I feel completely helpless and extremely disappointed. read more

Called on 12/18/2025 to schedule an appointment for Dr. Gupta. I was told I would not be able to see her till June 2026. I asked if there was any other Doctors that I could see maybe in January and was told no but I could check with another Round Rock affiliate and check with them. I have just moved from another state and never had to wait months to see a doctor. Called Baylor Scott and White and will be seen in January. Ascension Seton Williamson made me feel like that did not want me as a patient. read more

I was admitted to Ascencion Seton Round Rock facility for my labor and delivery of my first child. This has been a very non eventful pregnancy given i am very healthy. My labor and delivery was fine upto the moment i gave birth to my child immediately thereafter i was moved to the OR for hemorrhage where i ended up losing 4L of blood - I was on the brink of death and brought back to ICU for monitoring. This is where as soon as i stabilized i tried to get details about really happened to make me lose 4L a healthy person with no previous medical history and no one had any idea. There was hardly any communication between different departments and there were no notes added in by the doctors. I got some high level details from the on call OB on what happened but he dint have the full details yet. After that it was literally hard to get any attention from any of the on-call doctor they wpuld not respond to pings/calls from my our ICU nurses (who all were epic and equally frustated with trying to do the right thing). I am still in the nightmare waiting to be reunited with my new born who i just got to hold for 2 secs before i was yanked away from her to the OR. Please avoid this place if you can - its definitely short staffed on doctors and your care is not a priority. read more

For once, I concur with almost all of the negative reviews posted about this place. Both the ER and the hospital. This place is DANGEROUS. If you want to take a gamble on your health and life, go here. If not, go absolutely anywhere else. I have never met so many doctors and nurses with conflicting "views" on what results from lab work means. Now THAT is scary. It's quite literally science. Not an opinion. Despite concrete proof and full knowledge of what is going on with my body and health, they still make you start from the beginning every single time with every single nurse and doctor and then they ALL circle. I'm almost positive, at THIS hospital (and seemingly all the medical facilities in Austin), to become a registered nurse, all you have to do is literally register. That's it. No education whatsoever. To become a doctor, you just have to be able to have the resources to go to medical school. The most alarming part is that not a single person thus far understands how having an autoimmune condition goes hand in hand with having an unresolved infection. I've now been here for 3 days. Instead of listening (none of them listen), when I told them what bacteria had grown back from a urinalysis, and how many FAILED rounds of antibiotics I had already completed since July 11th, they instead keep giving me different antibiotics left and right both IV and oral without knowing which are resistant and which are not. Essentially, this place is making me sicker by the day. Once I finally get discharged, I'll list the names of the employees who should be avoided at all costs and the situations that transpired with them. I ended up calling the patient advocate line as I couldn't believe what this "RN" Leandra was saying in the hall. Not only was she talking bad about me, she was talking bad about other patients. I asked for the charge nurse named Lisa but instead some lady named Kimberly came in saying she was head of the department & was acting dumb despite being able to hear the others still yapping away in the hall. I've already filed a formal complaint against the Leandra girl and will ensure this is followed up with. This place is an embarrassment to healthcare in every way shape and form. Every doctor I've seen in Austin just agrees that the healthcare in Texas and in Austin has just been "really bad" but they do nothing about it. read more

Went there last night for bowel obstruction in absolute severe pain. I've had many issues with pain in my life. Broken femur, car,wrecks, appendicitis and more. I'd rank this pain a 7out of 10. I check in and they are letting people with God knows what "a sniffle" go ahead of me. Waiting for 3 hours and had enough of the craziness. I go up to ask WTF is going on. The crazy admittance woman says were taking people in as of severity. I laid into the crazy fool and left to Georgetown and got in right away. read more

* Lack of Professional Care - (8/8/2025) No doctor/nurse came to speak with us following the implant of a pacemaker to provide us with info on the pacemaker. The family was not notified how surgery went, or what to expect/look out for with the pacemaker. * Dirty Room Conditions - The room was dirty with random drinking cups and food still there from the night before. There was a plastic lid to a spray cleaner on the floor, and other trash on the floor that I picked up, three separate items. Had my father needed to get up, he could have had a bad fall if he had stepped on any of it. * Unsanitary Room Conditions - Two blankets were on the couch next to me from the moment I arrived at the hospital. After his surgery, my brother grabbed them to put on my father only to find out they were soiled. My brother put them in the receptacle they should have been put into. * Lack of General Care - When pulling my father's bed out to head to surgery, the nurse left the oxygen clip on my dad's finger causing it to pull his arm way back. She stopped after realizing she had not removed it before trying to leave the room for surgery. * Lack of Transparency/Communication with Family - We were told that surgery would only take 1.5 hours; our dad was gone for some 5 hours. Again, no one updated us on his condition or even about how the surgery went. * Incompetent Doctor - Our dad began wheezing the second day after the surgery. A technician came in to give my dad breathing treatment. This technician notified my brother that our father's lungs were full of fluids. The doctor then ordered an Xray of his lungs. Later the technician came back to do another breathing treatment and told my brother that an Xray would not show fluid in the lungs. The doctor ordered the Xray for nothing, showing her incompetence. * Unsatisfactory Medical Care - My brother went to see our father on Sunday (8/10/2025). He said Dad looked terrible. Dad's eyes were swollen like someone had punched him. The hospital had failed to remove the fluid in my dad's lungs. * Hospice, really? - Next, on 8/12/2025, the hospital staff, as if they were throwing in the towel, began speaking to my brother about hospice. My brother felt they may just want to have the room/bed back. * Lack of Responsiveness - My brother told the hospital staff that he wanted to speak to the doctor who did the surgery on our father on 08/08/2025. We are currently (8/12/2025 @ 7:46 am) waiting to receive a call from the surgeon/doctor. read more

The good is l was a repeat customer and like their facility. The bad is their billing!!! I was having a self-pay test that I've done before. No insurance involved. It was $75 last April when I had the test. My receipt shows paid in full. In November I get a bill saying I owe $40 and it will go to collections It took two phone calls, 11-25-24 and 12-30-24 to get it resolved and a third call 1-28-25 to find out the results. They said they "discounted" my bill and it now shows paid if full. No mention of the fact they billed in error with an updated price. No notice from then it had been settled. My 92 year old mom was there for 24hrs saw er doctor and was given a room an that was it after waiting all night to see a doctor never happen they said doctor order stress test the lady 92 an the doctor never seen her doesn't know if she can even handle one . Then they change it to other test still never seeing a doctor. The nurses are great no leaders ship they cant do anything without a doctor. I really haven't had sufficient exposure to the Seaton health care because I go to Baylor Scott and White. That said I have had the experence of appointment checkins at Baylor Scott and White and Ascention Seaton Williamson County. The Seaton checkin process is (pardon the phrase) is absurd! There were three employees that were very helpful by the way but they hand you this tablet computer to fill out and you cannot complete your checkin until it is complete! We arrived at the hospal at the appointed time to allow for what I was soon to discover was the "owenrous" checkin process. It took an hour to complete the application for a procedure that took fifteen minutes. I totally understand that this process was created to reduce the number of employees required to check in patients therefore, reducing cost. Believe me, the Baylor Scott and White process isn't perfect but, it is light years ahead of Seaton's. read more

Amazing care, I went to the Seton Ascension ER in Roundrock, Tx on 7/16/25 around 1:15pm on AW Grimes and the do no harm policy was violated because the was telling me what tests they would run if it was a life or death thing. I have dizziness, extreme fatigue, left and mid back pain that radiates intensifying along with aches. The student PA asked me about my meds and told me that one of them is used for addictions issues. That was offensive because the rhetoric of doctors labeling and calling everything addiction when it comes to scheduled drugs is tired and very stereotypical. I told her meds can be used off label to treatment other conditions I.E. propranolol is used to treat panic attacks but that's a blood pressure medication. By the way, I was sitting in a hallway in a chair with a dress on and the PA student did some exercises on my back and legs which required me to lift my legs into the air "I had a dress on". To me that should've been done in a room with curtains shut. I offered a UA specimen because most doctors require that to see what shows up in the urine. By it being excruciating pain in the left side, I thought she would check but no. I gave them a Urine specimen because I had to go to the restroom and due you know they told me to sit it in the floor next to the chair that I was sitting in or on the table attached to the chair. I said that it's gross and filthy to sit urine on the floor by my chair or on the table attached to my chair in a hallway. I saw multiple staff members with skin tight scrubs on and one with black slippers on pushing a patient in a wheel chair. The first nurse asked if I had X-rays done and told me that the pain management doctor should've had imaging done first. I have no idea what he was implying but it was off putting. The doctor told me that this was an emergency room so since I wasn't bleeding or have any broken limbs they would not do any imaging. I asked about the dizziness and she restated that this is an emergency room. She offered some pain meds that would make me loopy and I told her that I drove their and didn't have money for an a Uber plus I didn't want anything that would alter my state of mind. She checked to see if I could have Toradol injection, by the way it caused horrible stomach pain. I asked for a house supervisor because after the toradol injection the male nurse wanted to get my blood pressure checked before being discharged. I sat there for a long time and no one came so I walked to the front desk and asked for a house supervisor. By the way this was the first time the hospital emergency wasn't crowded, it was empty. I called the house supervisor and Jackie and he hung up me twice. I called from a different number and he finally heard me. While I was trying explain my grievances , he was having a side conversation with someone. I stated that to him, your having conversation with someone else while I'm stating a concern. He told me that someone had died and that this is an emergency room. Jackie was joking with someone, no one is cheerful and making jokes when a death is reported to them. It's a loss of life, generally there isn't any excitement or joking. None of your staff cared enough. I went to the ER because I was too fatigued to wait for a clinic appointment with my pcp. The fatigue, dizziness and left side mid back to waist has become debilitating over the past two days. I couldn't sleep last night. The dizziness comes in waves and the fatigue to the point where I have to lay down they occur. It weakens me and all symptoms seem to occur at the same time. By the way I use a tens unit and heating patches, cream, Nambutone, 5 acetaminophen's 500mg , Naltrexone low dose, and a Tylenol 3 for this type of occurrence. None of these things are working. Is this not when an individual seeks emergency medical treatment. I hate ER's generally because of the anxiety that I experience , I don't like needles, ER's are horrible places to go. When you fill horrible, this type of treatment or lack there off with offensive accusatory questions, negating the patients needs and justifying it by saying this is an ER and I'm not bleeding or have any broken limbs so no imaging or tests would be done. That Toradol shot didn't bring my pain to an 8 on the pain scale. I said I would take an or 7 on the pain scale. I specified that I didn't expect the pain to go away completely but an 8 on the pain scale would be tolerable. Is this what's considered ethical practices for an Emergency Room and Doctors of whom take an oath to do no harm and align their care of the patients according to the code of ethics? If if is I want no parts of this and shame on Ascension Seton for condoning these types of practices at their facilities that were intended to help individuals and do their due diligence to determine the to an illness or whatever the individual's circumstances are. I'm aware that the immediacy and urgency according to the presenting symptoms of individual. read more

Pretty sure they dressed some guy up in a white coat, mascarading as a doctor, and paraded him through the room I was in. I was told I was lucky to have a recliner . Funny thing. The waiting room was empty. No wonder. The PA insisted he ordered the thin bit of gauce ,the EMT used to strap an icepack to my foot. I was mercifully given pain meds in the ambulance. Upon arrival at this low budget hospital I was handed a tablet to register myself. I kept falling asleep while trying. The tablet would not allow me to add my insurance. Could not get past no insurance. Would not accept I have insurance. I managed to get the ,less than enthusiastic, person who should have taken my information to finally show up and with a sour attitude a few moments before I was released. The PA handed me an ace bandage to take home. I had to demand a boot and crotches. Still can't put pressure on my foot. Then he told me he sent 2 prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy. 1 was extra strength Tylenol and the other another OTC item. I did tell him I am not here for drugs. I did not want any either from this roach motel of a hospital. If you want quality health CC are this is so not the place. No comeback is ever going to make this right. Awful experience, husband went in for a cut and a mental episode, we asked to leave multiple times and were told we could till the shift change and they told us they would call the cops if we left. The Care was crap they just put wires into my husband and didn't tell us why and never did a psych evaluation when I know they should have. Not to mention 90% of the people there were so rude. I would rate this facility A ZERO-- but the nursing staff was respectful to my 91 year old mother. The physicians were useless. She was treated in the ER for possible heart problems. An echocardiogram was ordered (and never performed). She was finally admitted to the 3rd floor cardiac unit and basically forgotten. The nurse call button is useless. No one ever came to help my mom to the bathroom. I had to do it myself. My sister and I spent the night with her. There's no communication between staff and no proper "hand off" was done. The day staff were oblivious to what was ordered and what was canceled. According to one of the nurses, the doctor canceled the echo and ordered a nuclear stress test on a 91 YEAR OLD FEMALE. We (sister, brother and myself) were not consulted prior to ordering the stress test. The doctor never came to her room until we complained to 2 charge nurses. We decided as a family that mom needed to leave the hospital. As I was signing the discharge papers, the tech came to the room to perform the echo - 24 hrs after it being ordered. I would apologize for the length of this review--- but I'm not. I think everyone needs to know how the elderly are treated at Ascension Williamson County. They try to blame it on staffing shortage --- I call BULLSHIT!! read more

Had to spend time in the ER this weekend with the wife because she had the ickies. The ER nurse was amazing and he spoiled us. They took excellent care of my wife while we were there. Sunday into Monday. Monday, came with a new staff and lower service. The new nurse was adequate. She was very friendly and even allowed us to order breakfast. Sadly I had to leave to take care of home. My wife's breakfast never came. After 18 hours in the er, they moved my love to the fifth floor and a different nurse team. The fifth floor, apparently is where they take all patients who are a biohazard ( those with Covid or contagious ailments). The day shift staff was non-attentive, non-engaging. My wife went hours without treatment-no Tylenol for pain and her IV bag was empty. Her shift nurse told her he'll get to her when he can but he had other patients to tend to. The evening shift crew came around seven in the evening. I spoke with the desk nurse about my wife's nurse's lack of bedside manner. Within ten minutes she received her new iv bag and she had finally gotten her Tylenol earlier. The nurse also checked in on my wife. She was pleasant even when I was demonstrably upset. She gets kudos! My wife's nurse, Ying, was young, and probably inexperienced. But he was friendly and polite despite my irritation with his treatment of my wife. But my wife did receive quality care and is making a speedy recovery. So I can't be too hard on the hospital. They give good care, when they care to give it. My son has been in and out of hospitals, all his life due to a rare liver disease. Even the smallest flulike virus would land us in the hospital. So we have always relied on the exceptional care of the staff at Children Hospitals. Unfortunately, my son has aged out of the Children hospitals. So, we have been trying to stay within the Seton network so that my sons medical records would be easily accessible to doctors treating him at an adult hospital. But to my disappointment, the few experiences we have had with adult hospitals have been terrible, until now. Ascension Seton in Williamson has been amazing!! We came into this Seton hospital needing urgent care for my son. And not only did they take my pleas seriously but they got him immediate attention. The nurses and ER doctor took the time to listen to me and find out what my son needed. They read up on his disease and medical records to help treat him. They got him stable quickly and transferred us to the ICU quickly which all aided in my sons quick recovery. I would like to acknowledge these 3 amazing nurses that helped with my sons quick recovery. Nurse Sheila, nurse Maddie (Madison) and Nurse Practitioner Heather. well to start tons of construction going on. so had to park clear across from emergency to registration clear across the hospital. I was told to be here by 3:30 so when I made it to registration my preferred name is always on my chart I see it in all my ascension portals paper work etc... the girl with the overdone eyeliner and no lashes begins to search for my appointment and I let her know the name it's under and the name I want to be called she begins to become argumentative with me on what there required to call me and I told her that she can keep the paper work however she likes but my preferred name was to be used she then took offense and called the department I was going to go see, and proceeded to use my last name only and then she says that my appointment was at a different time to then making me wait 20 min to then tell me they have 6 people ahead of me in the er now and I won't be seen this has been the 4th time now between the northwest location and now this one that I feel I'm being failed as a patient. I hate to ever comment on something that's going to make a impact on a place of service but I'm the only one who can advocate for myself and my health and I'm covered in painful leg ulcers and just need the imaging departments to do better!!! I need a specific test and can't get healed till I have this done so I'm leaving as I did something wrong and hate that this is the only hospital within my insurance that I can only come to cause at this point I wouldnt if I didn't have to. so folks be aware make sure I stand up for yourself and hopefully. I delivered my first child in the women's center of this hospital. I came in for an emergency and ended up having to stay a little over two weeks. I wasn't planning to deliver here but I am so very glad that I did. The nurses and doctors in both the NICU and the maternity section were amazing. They made me feel so safe and I even bonded quite a bit with a few of the nurses. (Michelle, Tamara, and Laurie specifically) they allowed my family all the time we needed to spend together. One of the NICU nurses even made artwork for us to take home. They were so comforting when my son was in the NICU and everyone in the hospital kept my son's name a secret from my family when we requested. I couldn't have hoped for a better birthing experience. read more

Type of care, quality of care was poor and reactionary. Nursing was short staffed and inexperienced. My second nurse, Anna Marie, on the 5th floor was great and made sure I got what I needed. The hospital is clean but I had to ask for EVERYTHING (tray table, hand wipes, pain meds?!?!, food) and was not given a meal once in my room, even though I ordered it with plenty of time. Then was told they had less staff on later in the day. Sorry, I ordered lunch so 10:00 am for 12:30, you messed up). The BEST part about the staff was TJ in anesthesia; he was proactive, helpful, caring and was the only one who followed up. I felt well taken care of by him and Anna Marie. I would think twice about staying there again. read more

If I could give no stars, I would. Don't get me wrong, the nurses are fine. The healthcare was not. My brother was there with multiple organs failing and he is on Medicare. They pushed him out after 1 week. He could not walk. He could not go to the bathroom or shower. He was on daily dialysis while in ICU but, was told to go home and resume dialysis outpatient. He could not get out of the car without help. He could not pull himself up to use a walker. After he fell trying to lift his foot over the door threshold, he crawled to the couch and it took 4 of us to get him up. I was mortified. You hear these stories on the news all the time but, I'm living proof that they are true. A patient's life is no match for the hospital/insurance/protocol/patient per diem. read more

The nurse I had was... eh not very helpful, not insightful, and didn't seem interested in actually helping me. I was very understanding it's a hospital things get busy this is unacceptable. The doctor never ever came back after letting me know he would prescribe the meds to see how they worked , a terrible terrible doctor . Didn't get his name but some young blonde who only cared about himself not the patient The doctor didn't even come in until around 2:30 AM. In the nearly two hours I waited, no one checked on me at all not once. When the doctor finally did show up, he asked what was going on, I explained everything in detail... and he did absolutely no testing or examination to figure out the cause. Instead, he just prescribed a bunch of pain meds and said if they worked, he'd send them to the pharmacy and send me home. Another two hours passed after that -- again, not a single check-in from anyone to see if the meds were helping. they didn't. Eventually, a different nurse came in and handed me my discharge papers along with a list of random medications that are completely useless to me because the medicine they gave in the ER didn't help at all. This was my first and last time ever visiting this place. I've always heard bad things and I should have trusted the reviews instead of wasting my time at the "closest" ER. To the nurse and doctor I saw congratulations on proving every bad review right. What a waste of time, care, and degrees. read more

I would recommend this hospital to anyone. I was here one night after knee replacement surgery and the staff was great, professional and caring. Especially William and Samantha in the surgery area and Christina, Hope and Mark on the forth floor. read more

Stay away from this ER! I went in in April for a kidney infection. B/C I'd been up all night in excruciating pain, I guess I didn't point to the right spot to the ER Doc, and she insisted I had sciatica. I explained to her I'd had multiple kidney infections, know what it feels like and this was a kidney infection. She's petite, dark hair and glasses-avoid her b/c we heard her tell another patient, verbatim, the same thing several hours later. She was so focused on that, she ran other tests/scans, and it was several hours before she finally got a urine culture. Conclusion was a kidney infection and she casually mentioned I had a stone. Didn't indicate it was large, or that it was a problem, no treatment was mentioned-so I assumed that like the only other stone I've ever had, that it was small and would pass. NOPE. I've had 3 other urgent care/ER visits since then - this last 'infection', the pain wouldn't subside and actually radiated to the front so I went back to the ER. The stone is now almost 1/2", I had to have a stent and surgery to remove the stone. Her negligence and malpractice made the situation worse, cost me more money, time and pain. The ONLY good thing about this last visit is Nurse Brittany was AWESOME. My family has been a Seton family forever, but not anymore. read more

Came to the ER in May 2020 after I had an accident with a lawnmower, shooting out a rock and splitting my leg wide open. I told them that I cannot move my toes in my right foot. They told me that was not their problem and I should go speak to my own doctor. I asked for a doctors note and again they told me that's not their responsibility to go to my own doctor. I went to my doctor the next day and I told him I couldn't move my toes and he immediately got me into an MRI and found out I had severed three tendons in my lake. Seaton Williamson literally let me hobble out of there with three sever tendons in my leg and didn't want to do anything about it. Worst hospital ever. And those two female doctors that day, one short hair, brunette with glasses and the other long haired redhead With Glasses y'all are disgusting people. read more
