Stay away from this ER! I went in in April for a kidney infection. B/C I'd been up all night in excruciating pain, I guess I didn't point to the right spot to the ER Doc, and she insisted I had sciatica. I explained to her I'd had multiple kidney infections, know what it feels like and this was a kidney infection. She's petite, dark hair and glasses-avoid her b/c we heard her tell another patient, verbatim, the same thing several hours later. She was so focused on that, she ran other tests/scans, and it was several hours before she finally got a urine culture. Conclusion was a kidney infection and she casually mentioned I had a stone. Didn't indicate it was large, or that it was a problem, no treatment was mentioned-so I assumed that like the only other stone I've ever had, that it was small and would pass. NOPE. I've had 3 other urgent care/ER visits since then - this last 'infection', the pain wouldn't subside and actually radiated to the front so I went back to the ER. The stone is now almost 1/2", I had to have a stent and surgery to remove the stone. Her negligence and malpractice made the situation worse, cost me more money, time and pain. The ONLY good thing about this last visit is Nurse Brittany was AWESOME. My family has been a Seton family forever, but not anymore. read more

Came to the ER in May 2020 after I had an accident with a lawnmower, shooting out a rock and splitting my leg wide open. I told them that I cannot move my toes in my right foot. They told me that was not their problem and I should go speak to my own doctor. I asked for a doctors note and again they told me that's not their responsibility to go to my own doctor. I went to my doctor the next day and I told him I couldn't move my toes and he immediately got me into an MRI and found out I had severed three tendons in my lake. Seaton Williamson literally let me hobble out of there with three sever tendons in my leg and didn't want to do anything about it. Worst hospital ever. And those two female doctors that day, one short hair, brunette with glasses and the other long haired redhead With Glasses y'all are disgusting people. read more

Six days in hospital, two surgeries for broken leg: Nursing care was good, room comfortable; however they didn't bathe my husband, no in room basin provided, no Kleenex provided. Communication from the OR was deplorable. At the time of this writing we don't really know what was done to my husband's leg. Second surgeon never called me with results of surgery & I was in hubs room waiting (first surgeon was fantastic & spent a good amount of time with me). It's a decent hospital & we'd go back but someone has to be the patient's advocate bc if you don't ask for more pain meds or information about your condition you won't get it. In fact I asked for a PCA with morphine (automaticity dispenses meds) and never got it; I was ignored! read more

Can't even schedule anything with this location. Receptionist Tracy in radiology/imaging just stone walls you claiming they never received your referral that your other provider confirmed they had faxed over 3 times. Then when they say they are transferring you to someone that can help she sends the call to your original provider you are trying to transfer the referral from, instead of transferring you to someone in their own hospital that is more competent. So infuriating. I bet the referrals are sitting on the fax machine and she doesn't want to go confirm that for herself. Worst customer service I have ever experienced with reception. How are you suppose to utilize your medical when your own hospital is being this disrespectful. read more

I want to give this place five stars, but I can't due to the fact that I had an unpleasant moment during my visit. I walked into the ER and got signed in. It was one person in front of me. Everything was going well until after I got triaged, they took the person in front of me to a room so I was the only one in the waiting room waiting to get taken back to a room. Once I got triaged they told me to sit back in the waiting room because they are cleaning beds and will get me back as soon as they get done cleaning the rooms. As I was waiting for a room maybe 30 minutes has passed and about six or seven more patients have walked in. So as those six or seven patients are get triage, I start to notice those six or seven more patients are not coming back to the waiting room with me, but they are getting taken back to a room. so mind you I was there before all of them and I am the last person to get taken back to a room then I don't even get put into a room, but I get put into a hallway as I am walking by the other rooms, I see the six or seven patients that came in 30 minutes to an hour after me, be placed in a room that they told me they didn't have because they were full to capacity. After I went through that incident that made me feel real unseen and Neglected I didn't think there could be anything that can make this visit any better I thought it would be the worst visit I have ever had here (don't get me wrong I know sometimes it's other patients that come in that has to be taking back faster because of what they came in for but I also know my condition is something major as well so i shouldn't be looked over). But my visit did do a whole 180 and turned out to be a great visit once I got back to the back the nurse practitioner in the RN's that I dealt with were amazing if I could just give them their own personal five stars I would love to do that, they treated me well and made me feel so comfortable after the incident that happened upfront they reassured me and apologize for what had happened and they got me the care that I needed in a fast manner and just overall they were amazing people. If I could give this place a zero, I would. Very rude front desk people. When I first came up to the desk, the woman was talking to another woman, but looked away at me. I thought she was wanting me to talk, unfortunately she wasn't and told me I was rude for interrupting her. Which I didn't talk, just stood. But in her opinion I was rude. Even though I did nothing, I apologized for interrupting. I came up a few minutes later to sign my daughter in, and I asked approximately how long till my daughter would be seen, and nastily she replied, just take a seat, I don't know how long it will be till she will be seen. My mom stayed here for multiple weeks within the ICU. Her doctors, pa's, and nurses were all incredible, caring, and amazing. Thank you.

The nurses and staff are wonderful. We never had a bad nurse. They go above and beyond! The only thing I would suggest is being more family friendly. I was there for a week with my brother in ICU. I live 4 hours away. I called about hotels, no one called me back, they lock the fridges so you can't keep any food in there, they have no place to shower. He wanted me by his side so I had to make due but it sure would be nice to have a couple simple accommodations! read more

Took my teenage daughter to get ER care. Worst staff ever! Reception, nurses and technicians were all rude, unsympathetic and disrespectful. My kid was vomiting violently, blood pressure was dropping and heart rate low. They continued with their paperwork questioning without accessing the emergency in front of them. My daughter was passing out yet still forcing her to stand for height, weight etc. what a nightmare!!! Stay away from that place if you want families to die. I finally left didn't stay after the treatment of our kid. I ended up driving my kid to Ally ER. What a godsend they immediately took her in accessing her immediately. This was my doctors hospital for my removal of my gallbladder. I came twice, once for a covid test then the actually surgery. Each visit was pleasant. You check in the front main entrance. A woman checks your name on the list and if you are listed, she takes your temperature. She then explains the route to where to go. The first time, the security guard said he would walk me over. That was a nice touch. I signed the list at the door and sat to wait. A man was there before me so he went first, about ten minutes later it was my turn. Taken to an open private room with a recliner chair, a small table and a regular chair. My escort turned me over to the covid tester. She explained what was going to happen. It was quick and painless. Glad they had tissues as my nose was runny after. I was negative. Next visit was for the surgery. Again the same check in and my walk to the register. Admin took my info and asked for the payment. Handed a bunch of papers and told to sit in the private waiting room. I was alone. A short wait later and I am summoned. Again I was walked to a open private room. This one had a bed and a bunch of equipment. Here I met my surgical staff. Each and every person was friendly and professional. The place was clean. I love the grip socks they give you. Hate the stupid paper gowns with double tape closing which makes it hard to put on. Once I was wheeled into the operating room, I don't remember a thing. Surgery went well and recovery was quick. The nurses attending to me were great. After I threatened to sing if they didn't give me my clothes, I got dressed. Into the wheel chair, given a cup of apple juice, and they rolled me out. I was surprised that this hospital was out so far in Round Rock. Better then going downtown. If I stayed overnight, I heard the food was good. read more

Nurse Ashley LNU lacked discretion & made cutting, insulting, comments concerning my visit, which was in an official capacity. She had regard neither for the gravity of the interview I had with a patient nor the due privacy of the interviewee and was rather immature for someone with a supervisory title. Ashley basically suggested that I interview the man in the open, very active, nurse's station area where he was lying on a stretcher. I asked if there was a room we could go to (office area, private waiting area, etc.) and we were reluctantly taken to a room after a snide comment or two. Within the first few minutes into the interview of the ,obviously, very distraught man she interrupted a delicate interview asking when I would be done because she needed the room. I tried to get ideas of where to finish the interview but was met with even more sarcasm & insult. I requested for a security officer to stand at post (based on extensive experience). However, she mocked my request having complete lack of knowledge & experience in the types of people & circumstances I deal with on the job. I find it humorous that someone who has less than 5 yrs in the medical field finds it appropriate, deems herself as an expert, to tell a veteran police officer how to do her job in lieu of simple professionalism. I've been in police work for nearly 30 years. I have visited several hospitals along that journey & have never witnessed such a lack of professional courtesy and a critical, condescending attitude. Basically, the problem was her obvious disdain of my presence. PS: I called the hospital ahead of time to see if the man was still there & was told by his nurse, "Yes, he is waiting for you." They saw my 1 year old grandsons diaper rash due to diarrhea from the stomach flu and we still waited 3 1/2 hours before we gave up and went back home. After surgery he was in excruciating pain and the staff ignored pleas for help over the course of 5 hours. Utilize family advocates, Chief Nurses, hospitalist, Seton hotline, if you are not receiving proper care. This hospital needs to be held accountable on all fronts. I will give you my personal experience with this hospital. My family has been here for three very major medical events in the past two years. Through those visits we have been in every single waiting room and department. Multiple times... As I type this I just left my 91 year old Grandmother on the 6th floor. She had an unfortunate fall this week and is still recovering from a brain bleed. I trust this hospital more than any other one I have ever been to. Not sure what happened with other reviewers. But my experience has been exemplary every single time I walk through those doors. From minor details like always having free masks and sanitizer. To the meals. They legit have a room service for the patients. With an extensive and delicious menu. And the cafeteria is always fully stocked, fresh and reasonably priced. I had the burger today and it was fabulous. Especially for a cafeteria. The menu is always different too so that's nice. Every employee I've been in contact with has been kind and helpful. The rooms are super clean, bright, comfortable and updated. The loungers for visitors are super comfy and can fold back for sleep. My family and I only come to this hospital for any medical issues we might have. We've had outstanding communication, service from all of the staff. Love love love this hospital!!! They work so hard and deserve to be respected for all they've been through these past few years. These guys knock it out of the park!!! read more

If I could rate less then one star I would. After a bad car accident we found ourselves at this hospital and in the waiting room for over 7 hours. Finally when called the nurse asked why a doctor hadn't given an iv for a cat scan. Well I am not a doctor so I am not sure why your hospital is absolutely clueless on patient care and time spent waiting. So you guessed it. We waited another two hours and at the end of the day we're in pain and exhausted so ended up leaving with nobody even telling us what was wrong!! I arrived at Seton Williamson on January 1, 2021 with my very best friend. He experienced a cardiac arrest on January 4 and passed away a few days later. It was a very Traumatic experience and the entire team was very professional, always informative and extremely loving to all of us during this time. Even during this COVD pandemic, they treated us as if we were the only family & had the only patient there. I'm certain every patient and family receives the same treatment and feels the same way. Excellent care from the moment the ambulance arrived to the time of my discharge. Staff was caring, professional, and very skilled.

Showed up early in the COVID crisis and with symptoms and exposure was relegated to an isolated room, freezing cold with just a gown. My husband had to find me even a blanket. When asked for a simple pillow, all nurses shrugged and said they lose pillows all the time and couldn't get me one. After explaining a difficulty with being touched, the very kind tech was helpfully putting on leads on my left whiley husband held my left hand. A ride and impatient nurse came around my husband and grabbed my arm for the blood pressure cuff without following the established care instructions (inform before touch) and I jerked my arm back, startled,my husband holding my hand and lower arm. She then stormed out of the room yelling that she didn't have to put up with that AND THAT I STRUCK HER!!!! Even though the tech had one side and my husband the other- I called for security as I was accused of assault and wanted to ensure facts and witnesses were spoken to and the hospital refused. If you are accused of striking a health care worker, you should be able to ensure the story gets straight- but this was rejected. Clearly it was a false accusation as the supervisor came into the room to talk me out of asking for a report. They ended up keeping me overnight without properly transitioning my medication schedule, leaving me on the medical floor in pain because they had to wait to confirm that I hadn't received the meds before leaving the ER like I was supposed to. On top of all of this- best gift of all - scabies!! A stomach and back full of itchy red bumps for a week. So this is the place for you if you want to be falsely accused of a felony by a horrific nurse, not be able to get medication while IN the hospital and a friendly parasite that loves to dig in your skin-this the place for you! read more

Recently had a 3 day hospital stay here and just wanted to say how impressed I was with all of the staff; especially during these challenging times. All of the nursing staff took excellent care of me and you could also see the excellence in the housekeeping and diet service staff as well. Each nurse and medical assistant were very kind and caring. Each day the head dietician also came by to make sure the meals and quality of food were great. Housekeeping folks were friendly and helped very quickly to repair a shower that had gone a bit crazy; LOL. Just wanted to give a Kudos to all for making a difficult time better. read more

I guess I was not supposed to get sick over the New Year's weekend, but I turned up positive for COVID and felt rotten. My primary care doc at Georgetown Seton Ascension was not available, and in fact refused to talk with me over the phone and not one of their other doctors was on call. The nurse on the hotline said I should probably go to the walk-in clinic on West University, but that he was fielding all their calls. As it turned out, the walk-in clinic was closed for the whole weekend. I ended up going to the ER at St. David's in Georgetown and got excellent care. I should not have had to go to the ER to get a prescription, but they were great, which I cannot say for Ascension Seton in Georgetown. They were worse than useless. read more

This hospital is filthy. My mother was sent to Seton Williamson in an ambulance. She fell and broke a bone. She is elderly and at risk for coronavirus. When we arrived, the ER waiting room was so dirty I was afraid to touch anything. There were crumbs on the floors. The end tables were crusty with food and drink residue. The bathroom had no seat covers for toilet seats. During my mother's surgery, we sat in a big waiting area with a music loop that played the same three songs over and over for hours. There was no one about - no staff offering to help, no activity. Again, the waiting area was disgusting. I cleaned the armchairs we used with Clorox wipes and they came up black. Never once did I see a janitor with a cart to clean. The cafeteria was equally disgusting. Tables and chairs not wiped down. The area where trays were supposed to be returned was blocked by old trash bags. When my mother got out of surgery, and was transferred to a permanent room, the waiting area on her floor was again filthy and empty of people. No attendants, no amenities, dingy chairs, bathroom facilities lacking. We overheard one of the nurses saying half the patient lifts do not work. Not surprising. Overall, Seton Williamson hospital has a run-down understaffed feel. No comparison to St David's or any of the nicer hospitals in Houston. And IT. IS. FILTHY. Omg. Please disinfect this place! Sweep! Equip your bathrooms, staff your waiting areas. read more

I was admitted to Seton Northwest for surgery on 6/20/19. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff in pre op,and on the 4th floor (sorry, I do not remember being in post op/ recovery. The nurses were attentive without being intrusive. No one made me feel like a drug seeker when I asked for pain meds for pain not controlled by my scheduled meds. Well I am a new member of this Insurance Plan Ascension Personalized Care. I haven't received any information about my plan or have received my ID cards. Trying to schedule appts. and can't because doctors need the info. I don't have. I logged in my account and tried to view my ID cards and they said "sorry error occurred"... us not you. So then I tried calling .... still on hold after 1.5hrs! This is ridiculous!! Obviously some agents are working from home and not answering the phone!! Called at 4pm today and still on hold. I've been here two times and both times were great experiences (considering the circumstances). The first time it was very crowded and while the wait time was a little long (to be expected as there were many people waiting on care), but, the staff was friendly, caring, and very apologetic. The second time (this morning), ai was the only ooze in the waiting area and was in and out of the hospital within an hour and a half and his nurse, Jan, was perfect. Both times, my children were treated wonderfully and professionally. The nursing supervisor even got me some coffee. Out of the last 3 times I've been there, once they forgot about me in triage for 3 hours, came got me apologized did some simple range of motion tests and sent me on my way. Tonight I was left in my room for a couple of hours with no pain meds, no CT performed, and no results for the blood or urine until I left that's when everything magically wanted to happen. Good afternoon, My name is Kristina May, I am 34 years old and have been dealing with health issues since receiving cancer treatment in March of 2014. Over the past several months, I have been dealing with recurrent kidney pain, bladder infections, and bladder pain. I have recently been diagnosed with bladder cystitis, caused by radiation burns lining my bladder. Nobody has been able to explain to me what is happening with my kidneys, or why I deal with unbearable pain on a regular basis. This past Monday, July 24th, at around 9:00 pm, I was leaving an office in Georgetown and the pain became so bad, I thought I may pass out. My blood pressure was elevated, and I could hardly stand. Because I did not feel as though I could drive to a Travis county hospital, I went to the one that was less than 2 miles from my location. I checked into the Emergency Department at Seton Medical Center, Williamson. The emergency room staff was amazing, they gave me medication to help manage my pain, ran tests, and discussed my symptoms with me. The CT scan that they did was unable to find anything, which is not new to me... whatever is happening with my kidneys is obviously being caused internally, which would also explain the recurrent infections. I left a urine sample and a dip showed an infection however, the lab did not agree with this finding. It is obvious at this point, that the infection was just starting because I have all of the symptoms of a full blown infection at this time. After going over my test results, the emergency room physician thought that it would be best to admit me for pain management, and further testing. He noticed that some of the levels in the lab work that was completed were off, and there was not a clear reason as to why. After discussing the options with him, we agreed that I would be admitted to the med-surge floor. Upon arriving on the floor, Dr. George met with me and expressed concern for my issue. He thought that we could do some more testing, try some specific treatments, and see what, if anything, would improve my issue. The following day, I was seen my Dr. Basu. She did a quick exam, asked me about my symptoms, and asked me that I had tried before. She attempted to get me to take muscle relaxers but I explained to her that I could tell that this issue was not muscular pain. While I cannot explain the exact feeling that I have, I know that it is not muscle pain. I told her that I had attempted muscle relaxers before and that they had done nothing to help manage my symptoms. She then suggested that we try gabapentin, in order to determine if maybe the issue was caused by nerves. I told her that I did not feel as though this was the issue, but that I was willing to try it. Tuesday, around lunch time I had visitors, including my young nephew. I was still in a lot of pain but I took my pain medicine and walked down to the cafe to get my nephew a cookie so that he would not be so sad. Additionally, I thought that walking around may help with some of the side effects that I was experiencing from the gabapentin. While in the cafe', I saw my doctor and greeted her. I then walked back up to my room and laid down due to the increased level of pain I was feeling. On Tuesday, at around 4:00pm, after receiving another dose of the gabapentin, I started noticing some awful side effects of the medication. I began making a list of strange things that I was feeling so that I could discuss them with the doctor when she came back. The list of side effects ended up being pretty long, and included: dizziness tiredness strange LARGE bruises on my body inability to focus my eyes headache increased pain in my kidney area tingling in my hands and feet severe swelling in my legs These are just the ones that I can still remember, as I left the list at the hospital. On Wednesday morning, at around 10, the doctor came back and, while she was palpitating my back, I was telling her about the horrible side effects, and that I was still in pain. She then told me that my pain had improved, I attempted to explain to her that it had not improved at all, and was in fact, worse, as I had explained to the nurse earlier in the day. At this point in time she said that she saw me walking the previous afternoon so I must be feeling better and that she would not do anything to help me with my pain besides keep me on the gabapentin medication because it was obviously a nerve issue. At this time, I began crying out of sheer pain and frustration. I felt hopeless, helpless, and to be honest, a bit like giving up on life all together. Thank God that I am not having any type of mental health issues, this would have for sure caused me to consider taking my own life. I have NEVER felt so much like a piece of trash before in my entire life! She refused to even listen to me. Took my husband to the ER for a kidney stone... there was absolutely no sense of urgency. How is it okay to let an otherwise strong 230lbs man scream and thrash around vomiting in pain?! - I get it... they have a procedure to follow but when someone comes into the ER in severe pain maybe he shouldn't be lectured on the importance of establishing a primary care physician or told that he needs to relax in bed rather than being fetal.... um, seriously?! How about you get that damn medication the doctor already ordered. Nurse was epically awful! The ER it's self is very primitive and unhygienic. The room we were lead to still had urine in the private bathroom, the sheet was soiled, there was blood on the bed rail and a used gown was on the floor. UPDATE!!!! Update !!! Turns out my wife did have an ectopic pregnancy!! Along with an inflamed cyst . I asked about internal bleeding and stuff and I was told that everything looked normal and that her body would take care of its self. If we didn't go to a different hospital my wife would not be here right now. Thursday August 5th. My wife had started developing pain in her right side and vaginal bleeding. It was not that time of the month for her. It raised suspicions and the following day (Tuesday, August 3rd) she took a pregnancy test. Came out positive almost instantly. She stayed at home because it was looking like she was going to have a miscarriage or was at least in the early stages of one. One day goes by and she was able to hang in there through pain and not being able to sleep, but today ( Thursday, August 5th) I have taken her to Ally Medical Emergency room , right off 79 and a.w grimes. They did a urinalysis, blood test, and two kinds of ultrasounds. Once the results came back they had reason to believe that she was undergoing a possible ectopic pregnancy. They tried transferring us to any and all hospitals in our area but because of COVID-19 there weren't any available beds anywhere "apparently". They had suggested that we come here to Ascension Seton Williamson without making any stops and to drive straight here. We did exactly that and got here in less than 10 minutes from that location. The only thing I can't complain on is at least she got seen within 1hour which in my experience is pretty fast. So bravo for that. Moving on, The Og/byn had told us that they wanted to do an additional two ultrasounds because they feel that other places don't give accurate results and they believe that their ultrasound technician was going to get better results. Keep in mind the doctor at the ally medical gave us a folder with all the results from the tests they had administered, including the CD of the ultrasounds. But they didn't trust their results so they wanted to go through the whole process again. Once she came back from that we waited to speak with the Og/byn , he and a nurse eventually came in and started discussing their "professional opinions" and to cut a long story short all they have done so far is give her drugs for pain and nausea but as far as actually getting to the bottom of the issue , they've just had us waiting here while my Wife is crying from pain and basically telling us there's nothing they can do right now and to come back on Saturday so they can see her hormone levels. A female doctor came in eventually and "explained" everything to us. But when I had questions concerning the health and well-being of my Wife she seemed irritated that I had questions. The whole staff seemed compassion less the whole time. I've been around long enough to see that all they really cared about was who our insurance provider was and I know that determined what kind of treatment we were going to get from the beginning. All I have observed is this place is just trying to squeeze out as much money from us as possible. FYI our insurance provider is Tri-care which is totally useless, its basic coverage which means we are going to get basic treatment. They haven't done anything but give my Wife drugs to get her to stop complaining about the pain. It doesn't seem like they care at all, And I thought the hospitals in El Paso were bad. It's a shame that I'm back home and trying to get HELP for my WIFE and this is how we are being treated. A military veteran and his spouse receiving lousy treatment, makes me Feel real patriotic. But now we are being rushed out of here ! They did nothing for my Wife at all besides the drugs which made her throw up even more. The people that we have interacted with today have not been pleasant at all and it seems that the only thing we are going to get from this place is a Fat Bill. I'm glad we went through all of this just to be told there's "nothing" they can do rn. My wife only has PCOS and is bleeding and In constant pain but it's alright I guess. Glad to know That help isn't here and we will be looking for it elsewhere if possible. Please if anyone else has experienced terrible treatment here please help me share this so that at least someone can be held accountable. My wife also just now told me that she felt violated by the ob/gyn. Because he was touching her in areas where there wasn't pain. Which is true I did witness that but obviously wouldn't have known if that was part of what he has to do. This is not ok. He was not communicating with my wife the way he should have been. She says she doesn't know how to explain it but to summarize how she felt ,very uncomfortable. As her husband that infuriates me. read more

My family & I have been to Seton Williamson on numerous occasions. The hospital is as clean as any other hospital I've been to, but the main entrance and lobby is beautiful and relaxing like a nice hotel. Staff has always been attentive from volunteers at the front lobby to the registration staff (Andi and Yanith) to the nursing staff (3rd floor Cardiology) I have been there enough that registration recognizes either me my wife or my mother by name. We are always warmly greeted. My only complaint is that Seton Cardiologists and the hospital do not share the same health portal I have a login for each site separately. Communication with this hospital is very uneven, from very careful to simply presenting facts about vitals. When I've called the floor to inquire about my family member's status, most of the nurse give credible feedback. A HUGE exception is Dr. Raymond Harshbarger, who never called after surgery the day of the procedure or any days afterward nor designated another staff member or nurse to call. Reviews of him on other sites are tepid. He may be a surgery pro but sure doesn't seem like a compassionate human being. This is incredibly frustrating and speaks poorly of the hospital. read more
