Overall, I had a disappointing experience with Ascent Integrated Medicine. I visited the clinic in January 2024 to get a diagnosis and treatment for lower lumbar spine pain. After taking a x-ray and doing some diagnostics, the chiropractor and nurse practitioner noted I had disk degeneration and suggested 30 sessions consisting of a decompression machine, electrical stimulation, and chiropractic adjustments with 3 trigger point injections, most of which had to be paid upfront and was only partially covered by my insurance. The cost of these was quite exorbitant so I asked if I go do a much smaller package to start off with but the clinic insisted that they could go no lower than 18 sessions (cost of $2600). Given the 5 star reviews and the clinic's insistence that I would "feel better" after the treatment, I trusted their judgement and paid for the 18 sessions. Unfortunately, I noted only very marginal improvement after my treatment. I kept the chiropractor apprised throughout my sessions about how I wasn't really noticing too much improvement. He made some suggestions (e.g., using padded insoles when exercising, getting a back pillow) but unfortunately nothing was able to completely clear the pain away after the 18 sessions was completed. The clinic then suggested trying PRP, which was a relatively new treatment offering for them. Both the chiropractor and NP noted that they had success with PRP based on other clients' feedback. After a few months deliberation, I ended up electing for the treatment (another $1200 for 3 sessions). I did notice more pain relief after these sessions but unfortunately still did not get complete recovery. Furthermore, I noted that my injury could still easily be reaggravated even after certain basic issues (like a minor slip on a wet floor) which meant I still wasn't fully recovered. Frustrated, I eventually set up a meeting with an orthopedist who specializes in spinal injuries. He noted their treatment plan may have not been the most effective (particularly the PRP) based on my MRI and where I was experiencing the pain. He suggested a combination of PT and medication would be best. Some other issues I noted during my time at Ascent: -This was already alluded to earlier, but very frustrated at the inflexibility of the clinic not offering a smaller upfront package (5 or 10 sessions instead of the 18 I was forced to take). This would have saved me a lot of money. -Waiting room was a bit disorganized and I experienced lengthy delays. There were multiple instances where I had to wait longer than expected to complete my treatment sessions (i.e., waiting 20 minutes to use the decompression machine after finishing E-Stem because they had overbooked my appointment slot) which in turn affected my work schedule -During the few months gap between my last treatment and when I started PRP, no one from the clinic followed up with me to check in on how I was doing. This is a basic task I would have expected from any medical center, especially considering the investment I had made. -Physical therapy was never offered as an option at the onset of my treatment (when in hindsight this would have been the most effective treatment). They only offered this option to me midway through my 18 sessions (after they had set up their physical therapist) but I was never provided clear cut instructions on how the PT would interplay with the other treatment I had paid for. I did try 2 PT sessions towards the end of my treatment but was already feeling frustrated that the other treatment hadn't been working / had to be cost conscious (and was never offered the option of doing the PT in lieu of the some of the other treatment which would have saved me money). Reason for two stars rather than one star is due to pleasant bedside manner from the staff. Unfortunately, the rest of my experience was poor and I'm quite surprised about all the other 5 star reviews. Unless you have a very minor issue and/or your health insurance can cover all of the treatment costs, I would suggest looking elsewhere. read more

I've been under chiropractic care since the 1970s and have moved around in the meantime, so I've been to several different chiropractors. I go routinely, to maintain good health. Dr. Geer is great at activator (a small instrument to apply a controlled, sudden force to a spinal joint) adjustments. He has a fun and light-hearted personality and is always joking. His staff is professional and efficient. My only comment would be about the space. The office looks sad and the treatment rooms are cluttered. It's not dirty, it just looks like it hasn't been organized or remodeled in a very long time. read more

The additional steps they've taken during the pandemic allows us to feel safe while still receiving treatments. My only thought might have been that the office could benefit from some updating. First, let me say the people that work there are lovely. They seem to care about their patients and listened to the problems. However, I was led to believe that they could fix the pain I was in. I've had chronic hip/back pain for 2 years. I've been told it was arthritis, the piriformis muscle, IT band, or sciatica by different practitioners. I'd tried acupuncture, physical therapy, yoga and Pilates. The only thing left to do was to see a chiropractor. They recommended an 8 week course, 3 times a week. The course of action was physical therapy, shock wave therapy, the decompression machine and manipulation by the doctor. I was charged $3800 which was way out of my budget but if they could fix the problem, it would be worth it. Each day I came in they asked me to rate the pain. It never changed. Nothing they did helped ease my pain. At they end, they told me my balance had improved and some of the exercises improved my range of motion but that is not why I had come in. The pain never changed. I am so frustrated and disappointed. I would not recommend them. read more

Amir at Greater Falls Chirch Chiro practice does a wonderful job with things that I once saw expensive and time consuming physical therapist for. Physical Therapy has its place, but not for the thing that was bothering me immensely. After wearing a brace and doing physical therapy for months I happen to mention this to Amir after a typical adjustment. He gave my elbow a crack, and I experienced immediate relief. I had to see him three or four more times before it stabilized, but so much more effective and efficient and safe in contrast to the cortisone injections that were next on my medical list of strategies for pain management. read more

Dr. Amir is great. I have constant neck and back pain and after I see him, I finally feel some relief ! He takes his time and asks questions to give you the best care. Depending on what hurts, He'll give a little massage with the icy hot, perform the adjustment, use the gun, and/or do some stretches. I initially saw Doctor Amir for back pain after shoveling snow. He helped to get me realigned and feeling better. I continued to go back for regular maintenance visits when I later needed more care for my neck. Things seemed to change once insurance coverage options changed and they took on more patients. I felt rushed in and out of my visits and the doctor would come in and put heat on me leave the room and come back for an "adjustment" which consisted of about 5 minutes of a few cracks and clicks. I first met Dr. Amir when he treated my wife for neck pain last summer. It took only two appointments for him to completely resolve her complaint. I recently had a leg injury that resulted in enough swelling and serious pain to kept me from walking without great difficulty. I was seeing Dr. Geer and the man got fresh with me the last appointment. I had come in for my second body scan after several treatments and the man specifically said to me: "You can leave your bra on." I knew this was untrue because after my first appointment where he did the scan, the receptionist was ambivalent about whether not I should leave my bra on or not. He was joking around that first appointment about he and his wife have a running joke about how he "unhooks more or his patient's bras than he does his wife's." So the second body scan I knew I should take it off. I left it on as directed and he came in, albeit after knocking and unhooks my bra as if it were no big deal, so he could do the scan. Why wouldn't he tell me to unhook it myself and leave the room as a professional doctor should do?! I don't think so. Ladies, watch out for this man. Don't go to him. read more

Dr. Amir's expertise in chiropractic care is only matched by his compassion for patients who are in pain. I have a Grade I/II spondylolisthesis in my lower back and have suffered with back pain - off and on - for 20 years. I am very careful with my back, and about any manipulations and was, at first, extremely cautious. I truly don't think, there is any word to describe my great appreciation and experiences with Dr Amir Ahmadiyar. I'm astounded, flabbergasted, shocked and amazed (you get the idea) and most importantly grateful for the help Dr. Ahmadiyar provided with just one visit. Due to a friend's recommendation, I visited Dr. Amir Ahmadiyar at Greater Falls Chiropractic Center, after few questions Dr Ahmadiyar asked me to stretch on the bench by bending the hurt knee and stretching the other leg for 15 minutes. After this exercise he asked me to stand up and walk. It felt like a miracle, I was able to walk with no pain at all. I told this to all my running and tennis playing friends, and were asked to send them the picture of this stretch and I gladly sent it to all of them. I am Suffering from chronic neck pain, and my Dr. administered a shot of Cotozon and prescribed a bunch of steroids pills that did not work. The doctor suggested neck surgery, However, I decided on a nonsurgical approach. I was frustrated that after trying a few sessions of various Chiropractic offices, the pain was not relived. Dr. Amir Ahmadiyar has helped me so much with back and neck pain and also chronic, unexplainable pain in my legs. I spent 14 years with constant sharp pain in both legs. When seeing Dr. Amir for chiropractic care, he suggested I try acupuncture. I was really apprehensive, given how sensitive to pain and touch my legs were, the last thing I wanted to do was stick needles in there. I went to a general practitioner, and she said it was probably a strain - it didn't feel like a strain - and would just get better over time or I should see a physical therapist.
