I want to share my honest experience with Sophia Rose. I came in with specific blonde inspo photos, but my end result still feels and looks very brunette. Compared to the photos I showed, my hair is a lot darker overall. When I asked her about the color being darker her reason was "we didn't do a full weav on you as well". I don't believe this was due to partial vs. full weaving, as I've had plenty of both in the past and achieved blonde results. In my opinion, the smudging and the extra darkness left in between made it much darker than what I was hoping for based on my inspiration pictures. I also spoke with her assistant about one of the photos because it appeared too dark compared to what I asked for. I have showed and asked other people's opinions and they agree that it is a lot different then what I asked for, including my nail and lash techs'. I expressed all of this in a message afterward explaining how I felt, but after it was read, I did not receive a response. That part was disappointing. I paid about $280 for a this service with the partial weave, and I did not receive the final price until I was sitting in the chair during a short consult, which I would have preferred to know ahead of time. I also feel the haircut should have been explained more clearly before cutting. Simply showing how much length was going to be removed and confirming how short it would be would have helped me feel more aware and comfortable with the change. I do appreciate that she re-toned my hair and took the time to blow dry and style it. I wanted to share my feedback for future clients who are looking for a brighter blonde result and clearer communication regarding pricing. Also, I don't want to have it corrected right now, as further processing would likely cause more damage to my hair. If anything, I would appreciate a partial refund for the inconvenience. read more

I reached out to 5 other salons, and they all went to voicemail. Well, that was a blessing in disguise because it led me to Hannah at Ash and Honey. I was trying to find a place that could give my mom a hair wash and blow-dry while she was recovering from a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Hannah was able to accommodate us same-day and gave my mom the most wonderful pampering during this difficult time. She made my mom feel beautiful, special, and loved. We could not have asked for a better experience. The heart of a business lies in its employees, and they have found a gem in Hannah. Not to mention - the salon was gorgeous, clean, and peaceful! I had the absolute BEST experience with Cassidy Y. She was thoughtful and put in so much effort to understand what I wanted during my consultation. I was really nervous because I just got a bob and this was my first trim and I didn't want it to be too short. She cut it to the length I wanted and gave me a perfect blow out that exceeded my expectations. Jenna saved my hair! I called the salon crying because I had just spent hundreds of dollars on my hair. I wanted to incorporate my natural hair color as a base and balayage highlights up. The hair dresser saw my inspo picture, ignored it, took the highlights up to the root without blending and kept me facing away from the mirror the entire time. Technically speaking it was fine. It just wasn't what I asked for. I called this salon crying and Jenna asked for a picture and then got me in right away. Even though she was booked. What a gem of a human being. We were on the same page and when I went into the salon at my appointment she said that she had zero familiarity or skill or experience with what I wanted. It was shocking! Best salon ever I came here first in May for an emergency weave, emergency because of my poor planning and horrible roots right before a big event. I text with Kylie briefly and she fit me in her schedule. From the moment I walked in it was love at first sight. 1 - everyone in the salon has an amazing attitude and personality, I felt like I was hanging out with my friends. 2 - this was the fastest weave I've ever had. Kylie has an assistant and let me tell you, hair appointments are no longer a half day adventure. 3 - yes it was more expensive than I paid before. When I got home the reaction was worth every penny.
