I've seen Cassie here for 3 separate visits and she can really do magic! I've received a haircut in my first appointment (given I was just a walk-in and she was available with the time I had during my long lunch) and she did an excellent job :D My second appointment was for my balayage hair coloring and she was great to converse with during the process. The final hair color came out beautiful and even the next client over getting her hair done complimented me :) My third appointment was for the toner visit since my hair does tend to brass and she brought it back to life :D I absolutely appreciate seeing her and getting my hair done with her. From when I last saw her, the days she works there are Sundays and Tuesdays so it's challenging with my schedule lately but I highly recommend Cassie for anyone looking to change their hairstyle :) read more

I always feel satisfied after I get my hair done at this salon. Parking is never an issue. It is super easy to call the facility; it is very rare that I get placed on hold, and the few times that I am on hold, I wait no more than 5 minutes to speak with staff. The salon is well maintained. I especially like the "cool vibe" it has; it is a nice change from the more traditional salon atmosphere. Over the years, I have seen multiple hair stylists here, and they have all done wonders for my hair. My hair is super thick, making it a nightmare to work with, but everyone here has never complained and have shown great patience in treating my hair. The salon offers walk ins, but I highly suggest you book an appointment in advance as they get quite busy especially on the weekends. The prices are reasonable especially compared to other salons in the area. While I am always happy with their services, my mom is another story. She came here years ago to get her hair colored, and unfortunately, the color did not come out the shade she wanted. Luckily, she was able to get an appointment soon after to fix the issue, but since the incident, she no longer wants to come here. However, I plan to remain a regular as I never had a poor experience here. read more

I had a horrible experience there ....i got misinformation about the pricing and products. I drove from San Diego because of that only to find that the stylist put in the wrong wefts, they took them out and left me with very little volume. the stylist was not aware of either the install protocol nor the prices she quoted . I returned to San Diego ( now up to 6 hr drive) incredibly disappointed. no way to call the salon directly. I wrote an email (the only way to contact them) and haven't heard back. Attitude and lack of hair knowledge. My pretty hair is chopped and orange. The vibe is not relaxing! They gave me the same girl that 2 years ago ruined my hair. Christmas Eve 6 girls were trying to figure out why she died my hair purple! They were scrubbing like comet for 6 hours. Couldn't get it out. I wanted to try a different stylist. This time they gave me that same girl and she's ruined my hair again. I didnt realize it was her. So they gave me the same confused girl. My bangs were to my cheekbones and long woven hair. She cut the banks to the top of my forehead! Then she put something on my hair that turned orange. It's horrible. read more

What a wonderful experience in a salon with a comfortable vibe. My hairs were a huge mess - cut and color. The owner recommended Lisa and I couldn't be happier. The color was perfect and the cut just what I needed. Her experience as a hair stylist was obvious and she didn't waste energy with unnecessary conversation. Very skilled. Very professional. I've been here a few times I've visited to get my hair colored and it's hard to get a hair color stylus that doesn't break the bank. The salon is cute and quaint. My color stylist has always been Rose. She has great fun and hip. The stylist come in all different types and make you feel comfortable. I am always asked what I'm looking for and they always try to deliver and if they can't, they share with me the reasoning behind it which I love because if I'm paying for something to be done, I'd like to know what my options are and if it's feasible. Rose is great in explaining and delivering, but she can be a little sloppy and rough, it was minor last time but I did come home with side burns cause she colored the side of my face - my scalp was raw the first time because she used the brush needles to grab my hair from my scalp instead of using a pick to then use the roller to dry. It's the little things that I will note for improvements next time but overall I am happy with how the color turns out and will have to pay closer attention to the details too. I saw Blayne a couple days ago for a root touch up and blow dry. I had a such a wonderful experience! Blayne takes time to make sure all your roots are covered. Time was also taken when washing and conditioning my hair. The blow dry was beautiful and while the curls have softened, my hair still looks great a couple days later. Thank you, Blayne! read more

I have been going to a stylist by the name of Lida Kojel for about two years. She has doe my I tips, weft ad color, horrible highlights the past two times she has tried to do them my highlights turned grey/purple last time. Long story short I let her fix them three times to get it right. This time she has been away in her country for about 2 months. We kept in touch. So I return last Saturday and she texted me some random text before the appointment and I said I will be there at 2:00. She ran late, majorly screwed my color up and only did maybe half my head! Bottom line I will never return, I called the owner never had the audacity to call me back and Lida was just nasty to my daughter. You will never see either of us again. read more

Appointment was for an "updo" for an event. My daughter was in there for 12-15 minutes for $100 . No wash or blow dry for this, a small piece of hair swirled into a bun with Bobby pins, a couple of hot curling iron twirls and hairspray. Seems grossly overpriced. read more

This is a huge appreciate post for Casey at this salon! I went in with hair I got cut/somewhat colored for the first time a week before at ulta. Not super happy, my hair felt heavy, and bland. Casey had a consultation with me, then scheduled me for a day that works for both of us. We thoroughly discussed what I wanted and she completely got it right! I've always had long hair and a lot of it. I tell people keep the length but thin it out because it's so heavy and for some reason everyone cuts the length. Casey did the opposite! She gave me the perfect cut ready for summer. Now my head feels light, has the volume, and don't have the headaches. Now onto the color. This was my first time coloring my hair besides the girl who kinda colored my hair at ulta the week before. Casey explained to me to get the color balayage I wanted it was going to take a few times. So I have an appt with her in a month. There was about 50 Foils in my hair, and 5 hours later my hair was magical! I just want to start off by saying when I moved to Thousand Oaks 4 years ago. I went to 3 different colorists to do a simple touch up on my blonde hair. They all failed and I was stuck feeling extremely insecure. I felt uncomfortable going to work. I called my mom crying, and she found Ali online. I immediately made an appointment. I thought the disaster my hair was this would take HOURS.. I came prepared with a charged phone, and snacks. Ali didn't just correct my hair, she made it better than I have ever experienced. I am the biggest critic especially when paying someone to do my hair. I have since been extremely loyal to her, after moving, I drive the necessary 40min- hour from Hollywood to Thousand Oaks to see her. She is VERY much worth it, and you won't waste your precious time or your entire Saturday sitting in a chair for hours like in other salons. Ali, also, will be very honest with you. I trust her opinion and she will always do what is beneficial for her client. I recently went to a different shade, and I have never felt more confident and happy. I have been texting her daily with how happy and excited I am about my new color. Again, she didn't make me sit in the chair for long and she even trimmed me! And gave me a lovely blow dry. She is a color genius. I would never put my trust into anyone else. I'm so grateful I found her. read more

I had an amazing experience I called to book a last minute blow out and got booked for 1:30. Walked in where the receptionist let me know she will tell the stylist I am ready. Immediately got on the chair and had the pleasure of having Blayne give me a blow out! The best blow out I have ever had!!! He was such an amazing soul I felt like I've sat in his chair for years and this was my first time at the salon!! Marking products up that much is pretty scammy and left a bad taste in my mouth, so I definitely wouldn't purchase products from the salon again. I showed clear inspiration photos and explained that I wanted a soft, lived-in brunette with dimension -- nothing stripy or overly warm. What I ended up with was the complete opposite: uneven, stripy, yellow, and dull. It looked nothing like the photos. Tiffany told me the issue was that the toner "oxidized," so I trusted her and went back for her to fix it. Not only did I have to return, but I was charged an additional $150 on top of the $800+ I already paid. Even after the "fix," my hair still looks brassy, uneven, and far from what I asked for. When I reached out requesting at least a partial refund, she refused and told me my hair looked "vibrant" and similar to the inspiration photos -- which is honestly shocking, because it is not even close. On top of the color issues, the haircut was just as disappointing. The initial trim was choppy and uneven, and when she attempted to fix it, she aggressively cut face-framing layers by pulling hair forward from the back and chopping it. Now I'm stuck having to grow it out because it looks so uneven. At this point, I now have to pay another stylist to correct everything for a third time, which is incredibly frustrating after spending nearly $1,000 already. For the prices she charges, I expected a much higher level of skill, professionalism, and accountability. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. I was very nervous about going because you never know what you're going to get at a new place. The parking is a bit of a challenge because it's a very busy shopping plaza. I was able to get a spot as someone was just leaving. Walking into Top Nails, it is a very busy business but everyone was happy, so that's a good sign. My tech was a bit late, but Steve came to file off my nail color and prepped my nails, apologizing for them running late. I didn't mind, but his concern was appreciated. My appointment was with BinZ who was very friendly. I needed a bio gel fill, and he really impressed me! He was very thorough, and did a TERRIFIC job! I booked another appointment with him for 2 weeks later. He will definitely be my go-to person! My only negative experience was when I went to pay. There were at least 3 girls behind the counter doing their accounting for the day. Not one of them addressed me or offered to assist me after I gave them my charge ticket. (Note: They take cash, check or Zelle only since they don't have card reader.) Since it was my first time, I wasn't sure how to proceed but soon figured out that I could use their tel# or QR code to Zelle them. Overall, the staff is very friendly. After researching for some time, the best reviews came from this particular location -- the next day around noon (Thursday), I decided to call and see if I could walk in, and the gentleman on the phone encouraged me to come on right over! When I walked in, I was greeted by the friendliest staff and the biggest hello from Alex! I was seated immediately on one of the most comfortable massage chairs, and I was in and out of there in 30 minutes with the best service (which is the fastest and most efficient nail experience I've ever had!). I got a gel manicure and a gel pedicure -- and I was treated so well, and I felt so pampered!! There were so many colors to choose from, and the nail technicians helped me out. Alex said that they've been there for 5 years, and the other client sitting next to me also said she's been a loyal customer since the start of their opening. I saw Alex greet people by name and go around to make sure everyone was comfortable. I am going on a trip tomorrow and decided I wanted to pay to get them professionally done for the occasion to treat myself. This was a very good reminder of why I do them myself now... The nail tech was nice and worked quickly... too quickly. They didn't trim my cuticles or the skin around my nails. I asked for an ombré nail design, which is shown on their menu and provided a picture of the exact colors I wanted. Another nail tech came and took my phone to pick colors out and just started painting them on some of my nails before the original tech had even put gel on them. It was very odd... the second tech was rushing the first and was honestly doing a sloppy job. The color ended up being super off.. it was a Christmas tree green instead of a blue- teal color. I don't blame her for that, the bottle looked like a different color than the paint. They were also streaky and completely see-through. She asked if I liked them and I told her those things, and she told me the reference picture was see through too (which it was not-I added the reference) but she still redid them which I appreciated. I picked the new color myself, which matched the reference pic more and also wasn't see-through which was way better. The airbrush was having issues, which I could tell was super frustrating to them which sucks. But they just seemed to not really know how to do it very well. They finished and rushed me out quickly without cleaning any of the gel of my skin. With airbrush they usually wipe the paint off the skin before curing it so this doesn't happen. Now it's been a real pain to try to get off. They also did not clean up the sides of my nails, which were all jagged. I had to do a full nail clean up when I got home. Thankfully I have all the stuff at home to do that. The only reason for 3-stars is that the gel x nails are properly applied and should last. Overall I was not impressed. As a new client who is paying good money (and extra for a nail design) I expect some level of care. Also now knowing how to do a proper gel manicure, it's so obvious when they cut corners and rush (no nail/cuticle prep or clean up, only one layer of paint). And maybe don't offer a service (ombré) if you aren't confident in it or don't have properly working equipment. I wanted to do something nice for myself but ended up having more of a headache in the end, and had to pay my hard earned money for that headache.
