My family and I recently stayed at Ash Mill while visiting friends in the area. The owner, Jeff, is extremely friendly and helpful. When a snowstorm threatened to disrupt our visit, he prioritized cleaning our rooms in order to allow us to check in early. The rooms are large and despite the frigid temperatures, kept surprisingly toasty. The bathrooms are clean and the towels did not feel like sandpaper. In the morning, Jeff served us made to order omelettes in front of a roaring fire. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Ash Mill to others. read more

We were looking at Ash Mill Farm for a possible wedding venue for next year, so we went to their Wedding Expo and decided to stay the weekend. What a joke! In my opinion the owner has no idea what he is doing. Our room had a filthy hot tub that we had to clean before we used it, a broken toilet seat, and broken glass panels at the back door, where the smell of the pasture and barn would waft in. We were allowed by one of the innkeepers, Joe, to go into the pasture and visit with the animals; however, we weren't told about Poe, the goat who tends to attack people (both my fiance and I experienced that firsthand). Even one of the wedding vendors admitted that she'd gotten bruises from Poe butting into her hip. I was accused by the owner of having had "too many mimosas" when I spoke to him regarding the issues I had (such as Poe being dangerous and a liability, especially to small children who could easily get into the pasture). I have an autoimmune disease and CANNOT have alcohol. My doctors can easily vouch for that. I had plain orange juice. To accuse me of that was rude, unprofessional and out of line. But what should I expect from someone who, instead of helping out with the Wedding Expo, was rolling around the pasture with his animals and their excrement for much of the time? And the so-called "Expo" was small. Very small. One DJ, no live bands, three examples of "sweetheart" tables, three examples of guests' tables, main courses that we couldn't taste, no option for a cash bar or alcohol-free, a tent that seemed like it was going to blow away since it was a windy day...It was very underwhelming. My now wife and I got married at this venue on April 5th of this year. It was such a lovely experience! Lisa, the events coordinator, was so accomodating for us! She helped us with decoration, food prep, and timing in accordance to our very small ceremony of only 20 or so people. We also stayed in Shephards Cottages the night of the wedding, and while the room its self was in need of fixing and the Innkeepers weren't as accessible as can be, it wasn't enough to damper our stay at all! We had such a lovely experience! The breakfast made the next morning was delicious and Innkeepers, Izzy & Joe were still extremley nice to talk to. I would definetly recommend this place for both as a wedding venue to celebrate your special day together and/or a place to stay if you'd like to pop by and experience splendors in the New Hope area! read more

The place is dirty. Innkeeper was not accessible to check in. There was no notice of breakfast or coffee time. Our room smelled musty and was dirty. The breakfast was subpar. Our room didn't have toilet paper, I found out when I really needed it. Had to wait for innkeeper to return, 15 minutes or so, to be handed two rolls. The furniture in the public area has not been dusted in quite a while. The air conditioner was loud. This place is in a great location and could really be nice, but it needs work and an innkeeper that understands hospitality. read more

This place could be great, but do NOT stay at this place! First the innkeeper Jon was rude when we showed up. He said we missed checkin by 15 minutes after driving 14 hours. The front door was unlocked and remained unlocked all night. Our room was on third floor, which can be locked from the outside, but not inside. You can NOT lock the door in your room. It didn't feel safe. The room was stinky and hot. The air conditioner was loud and never cooled the room. No windows open. Moldy smell. There are very poor shades and bright lights from the street that lit the room and we couldn't sleep. We left before midnight because we were freaked out! Just got back home from an over night stay here with my girlfriend. It was pretty amazing. The new owners are super friendly and accommodating. The farm is situated right on a main road close to Peddler's Village with New Hope and Doylestown about equidistant in either direction. So, that makes it pretty convenient. I've never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before, so I really didn't know what to expect. Upon a recommendation from a local, I called this place, asked a few questions and immediately booked the private third floor, the Ash Mill Suite. Rustic is definitely a word that comes to mind when describing the house and the entire property. Our room was clean, had fresh towels and there were AC units in several windows. We had a king sized bed, which I found to be a bit firm. And since we had the large suite, there was a separate lounge-y room with a day bed across the hall. We didn't make use of this room too much but it was nice to have another place to sit and relax in. This is definitely a room that could support 3 maybe even 4 people at a relatively affordable price. There were small TVs in our room and the other room, in the event this is something you're interested in. It wasn't really something we cared for while at a B&B on a farm. Though, it was nice to have. Also nice to have: I noticed some open and quick wifi signals all over the property. (Or at least from the front porch/outside area, kitchen, our suite's second room. The signal couldn't be reached from our large suite bedroom, but as mentioned, that's not what we were there for.) There's some sheep that live under the barn, I had fun photographing them and fed them once. Breakfast the following morning was really great. Emily, the Innkeeper made a delicious western omelette for me, and my girlfriend had equally delicious French toast made with challah bread. Aside from that, there was fresh fruit, numerous beverages (coffee, water, OJ, iced tea). We had a really great time and will definitely retreat back to Ash Mill Farm in the future. Sounds like they're doing quite a bit of renovation having only purchased the land 3-4 months ago. We can't wait to see the progress they make on the house and other buildings. read more

This was by far the worst B & B I have ever visited. The room smelled intensely of mildew. I choked all night. I asked for a change of room could not be accommodated. Left after one night. Wrote am email, no response. Breakfast was eggs and home fries. Location was on a main road. It plain English it sucked. Do not stay here. read more

We arrived early, at 1:45pm. After hunting for someone (poor signage) we were rudely told check in wasn't until 2pm. We returned at 2:05pm to find the entrance now locked. About a half dozen other guests were sitting outside in the heat also waiting to check in. At 2:17 I spotted the guy we had seen earlier and asked who would check us in. He replied " you see I'm busy wih chores, don't you?" After a few other rude remarks (including a homophobic comment) he told us to just go somewhere else. I said as soon as I'm sure we won't be charged we will and he said ' you wont be just go. What a crapshow. Plenty of nice options nearby, AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more

This B&B has great potential, but lacks TLC and careful cleaning. Stayed in "Library" room. Vacuuming was hit-and-miss. Tiny bathroom had mildew on back of shower curtain and ceiling. Dusting was haphazard and the few decorative objects hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Sheer curtains needed washed. Lamps in living room had no light bulbs. No attention to ambiance, but lack of good cleaning was our greater concern. Breakfast was eggs and home fries prepared adequately. We ate elsewhere for two of our three mornings there. Wifi not operating. One TV channel. We do not recommend and would not stay there again. read more

An extraordinarily relaxing weekend was spent here this autumn. My boyfriend booked a spontaneous overnighter here, shortly after a major storm swept the east coast. But no matter; the grounds, and the quiet and quaint farmhouse, were cozy as can be. This operation has new owners, as of earlier this year -- an ambitious family who own a restaurant about 25 minutes north of the farm. They're young, friendly and putting in a ton of effort to refurbish and brighten this charming property. Previous reviews reflect previous owners, and not the current state of things here. My boyfriend and I had the Ash Mill Suite, which encompasses the entire top floor. A large bedroom, chilly little bathroom and a separate sunny lounge with a daybed, table and chairs, and streams of morning light. If you had children, this might be a good room for you, given the privacy, space and affordability. I spent some time in here reading in the morning. We had a great time wandering the farm, feeding the sheep and generally being city folks in the country. My favorite part of the visit: three hours spent quietly relaxing on the porch, playing a board game and listening to nature. How often do I do that at home? Never. Emily, the Innkeeper, is a great cook and a welcome host. Breakfast is a mix of fresh fruit and pastries, and hot entrees like buttery challah bread french toast, omelettes, bacon and plenty of coffee. I wanted to love this place -- I really did. The location is simply beautiful; the main house, the property, the friendly cat -- but it had its downfalls too. My fiance and I came to check out the property as a potential place to hold our wedding and also to stay the night. We were elated when we first saw it: a sheep pen, beautiful barn, fire pit... I could go on. But this is a definite example of a venue that isn't being used to its full potential. Our room was dirty (the curtains completely water stained, probably due to the old radiator system which is still no excuse as they should be changed out and washed to prevent it, dirty floors in the bathroom, a plastic soap dispenser covered in soap scum that actually was out before we left in the morning.) The water pressure was unbelievably terrible as well. Also, breakfast was a total let down as my omelette was incredibly small (I asked for an egg white omelette which I am assuming was only made with 3 egg whites, which is extremely tiny) and VERY cold once it came out. I will say the baked treats were delicious. The wedding coordinator has still not emailed me extra information she had offered to send me in order to lead me in the direction of holding my wedding there... which I am unsure why a person who wants my business would do such a thing. Its been over 2 weeks now. Did I complain? No, but this is because a venue I'd like to hold my wedding at should have their cards in order before I even get there. All and all it is a sweet spot location-wise, but needs much refining especially for the prices they charge. I hate leaving negative comments, but this place really didn't do it for me. I don't normally do this, but I think the owners need to know. We booked a night in the Shephard's Cottage on Friday night. Check-in was fine - had some water and cookies delivered to the room which was great. From there, it sort of went downhill. Bed was fine, pillows good. But I took a hot tub bath and only realized it when all of the water was let out that it was disgustingly dirtly. There was a brown film over the entire bottom of the tub. We had no wash cloth to use in the shower, no hair dryer, and the water pressure in the shower was terrible. Basically, the amenities are really bad. Went to eat breakfast the next morning and instead of being offered a menu of what they have, we were asked - what do you want. This is fine and for most people, this is great. Had an omelet that was ok until I found the very long black hair in it. Coffee was horrible. I know the ownership just changed hands or there is a new innkeeper, but seeing the innkeepers standing outside the inn smoking in the morning just doesn't cut it as a first class inn to me. Their marketing is definitely over-promising for the experience. read more

My family hosted a baby shower at this establishment earlier this month. The onsite staff I dealt with, the innkeepers and the event coordinator, were spectacular and went above and beyond. HOWEVER, the owner of the property who I only know as Jeff, was the most disrespectful person I've ever met. We had an unfortunate incident where a guest got stuck in the mud on their lawn. When simply following up (with a non confrontational email) to see if there was room for negotiation on the costs of the damage, we received the following email directly from Jeff. Take of it what you will but I personally won't be recommending this venue to anyone I know. I urge anyone looking into this venue to think before you support this local business run by someone who would be so condescending. Stayed here for for a weekend getaway from NYC. We had a great weekend. Inn keeper was very gracious. The room and inn is very clean and charming. Breakfast was amazing, the bacon was crisp and french toast was perfect. There is also afternoon tea. You can feed the sheep and there is pony on the property. There are great towns to visit nearby with plenty of restaurants and antique shops. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here. read more

We recently had our wedding at Ash Mill Farm and it was nothing short of spectacular! Working with Lisa was a pleasure. Lisa thought of everything and really took care of everything for us. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and our guests were just amazed at how everything turned out. From the very beginning, planning was easy and seamless. Lisa organized a wonderful food tasting, walked us through how everything worked, and handled everything perfectly the day of the wedding. The food from Riegelsville Inn was delicious. The grounds were perfect and made for absolutely beautiful photos. The tent was great. Lisa also recommended vendors to us, including DJ Gaetano and Cups and Cakes Online. She also helped organize an ice-cream truck, which was a pipe dream I didn't think would happen! All in all a wonderful event. Our guests are still raving about the day! read more

Ash Mill farm was the most quaint, charming and relaxing bed and breakfast. My boyfriend and I took a spur of the moment trip to New Hope and wanted to stay at a B&B. Well this place exceed our expectations. We stayed in the Ash Mill Suite which was on the 3rd floor. Even though there was a full house, we didn't hear one peep. The innskeeper was so nice and extremely gracious. She made us feel right at home. I'm an animal lover so I was obsessed with the sheep and the 3 goats. We got there Friday Nov. 8, 2019 at 4pm for a 2 night stay. Front entrance locked up tight, found the "Innkeeper" door" on the side of the farm, and he looked stoned as hell. he finally chose to go to the front to help us. He then told us the room is not ready and to come back in 45 minutes. Check in time is at 2 pm, why wasn't the room ready? He said he will give 10% off. We went for dinner and came back about 8pm. NO ONE AROUND, so at that point I became enraged, no one answered my banging and screaming at the door and we had no place to stay. Everywhere was already booked up. We had to drive all the way home to Brick and back up the following day because we had show reservations. Had to find a place to stay for Saturday night which was 20 minutes out of our way as well I would love to contact the owner of this property STAT. Possibly they don't know what their employee does.
