Stopping through for one night. Overall, seems well organized & clean. Appears to be a lot of seasonal sights. Went back & fourth between 3 stars & 4 stars. Ultimately, went with 4 stars because it was perfect for what we needed it to be (a one night stop on our way through) Kids loved the train that runs everyday between 2-3pm. Negatives are kid activities are only on Saturdays so we missed out & the camp store didn't have much to offer. Also, spots are smaller and on a slant but not terrible. read more

Campers are packed in like sardines. You have your neighbors sewage pipe sitting where your picnic table is. Sites were dirty upon arrival fire pits still had trash and half burnt wood in them. Broken bricks scattered about in one of the sites. Pool was green and not working. Constant heavy smell of sewer throughout the campground. One neighbor/ seasonal site had a filthy kept site left her camper wide open all day/night while her pet cried the entire time at the open door. . Lots of dogs running free off leash. This is a seasonal rv park. Good neighbors and great friends. Staff is friendly and do try to accommodate all. Pool has splash pad and there is a hot tub for adults only. Activities every weekend. There are rental cabins on-site. Lots of activities for kids and adults. read more

Wow, we be going here since Ashaway opened with a group of 6 RV's! So that's 6 sites every year for Memorial Day weekend Friday to Monday and others in the group Wed to Monday. Last year my wife and I got married there Memorial Day weekend! Every since Ashaway was sold to a big corporation there customer service has gone way down hill! Our group has been trying to get reservations for Memorial Day weekend and can't get through on the phone leaving messages and E-Mails go unanswered! One E-Mail was answered and said they didn't have the sites we wanted. Looking for 5 sites together. We were told they have 5 sites together but we can't find out where they are because of the very poor customer service! The original owner would let us reserve Memorial Day weekend a year in advance. This is very frustrating for our group, and especially for my wife and I since we wanted to celebrate our 1-year wedding anniversary where we were married! If we don't hear from Ashaway this week we will not camp here anymore! Very said, since our group love this place! read more

I called ashaway because we have friends who seasonal there and online the place looks good but online the policy says 2 dogs max thats fine but we have 2 dogs and a pot belly pig who has been camping with us many times and no problems when my wife called they told her NO PIGS! when i got home from work i called and they said the pig is ok but we have to many animals i ask your policys says not more than 2 dogs she said it to me like a child changing to rules in the middle of a game not more then 2 animals thats fine we camp some where else seems like a nice camp ground hopefully they update their policy read more

This campground is still under construction. The owner is nice and will refund your money. Though, I wish they were more honest on the phone. I called 2x to see if the site was ready and the pool was open. As of yesterday the pool was not open. I picked up quite a few nails yesterday. Wifi is spotty and cable has not been installed at all the spots. This is not a Resort. Maybe next year. Beware of the dust from the dirt roads and the spots are not on level ground. read more

Ashaway RV Resort - Campgrounds Near Me - Bradford, Rhode Island

We will never be back. We stayed here 3 months (June-Aug, 2021) to be close to our family & friends in the area and have camped all over New England. The 'resort' is undergoing new corporate management and is understaffed and unavailable, limiting their office hours to all 266 sites and hundreds of people. In late June, our 30 amp circuit breaker started cracking and burned out. Maintenance said it should be replaced in a week, and to buy a pig tail to tie into 50 amp, converting to a 30 until repaired. There were 4-5 other sites in the same condition at the tie-in posts. The breaker was replaced 4 weeks later in late July by an Electrician. As storm Elsa approached, no warning to campers to secure camp sites. The warning came the afternoon after the storm. Dogs not controlled and owners not spoken to, and we love dogs! Cars and trucks driving well over speed limit while kids enjoy riding bikes on the same roads. Late August, storm Henri came directly over campground (we temporarily moved camper safely to a friends out of state). When we returned 2 days after storm, we were under 'boil water' restrictions. 9 days later, when we checked out, they were still under the same restrictions. Sure, there's a security gate, but, no on-site security at night. No secure box to leave your gate key upon check out....and no one staffed to check out with at 11 am on a weekday. Our second RV trip ever and we wanted to try out an RV "resort" but Ashaway hardy meets that criteria. The best part of this is the ability to hook up to services but be aware to check where the hook ups are before backing in. The picnic table was in the way when we arrived and the sewer drain was up-hill from our camper... the pool was great for kids because the deep end is only 4 feet deep but it really needs more cleaning attention. We understand that we are here during COVID but it seems that this place has just been let go. Playground equipment is dirty and broken, the stated "open" RC race track is totally overgrown. The splash pad was randomly open and then just not working at all. In the evening the pool gets too packed so if you go, get there right before 10 when it opens. Although, having kids who wake up at 6:30, an 8 or even 9 am open would make more sense. A good thing about this place is location. Right behind Burlingame, it's a quick ride to the beach. We opted to pay the $30 for blue shutters rather than the free - with our beach pass- state beach next door to avoid the crowds. It was dreamy. Not too far away is Holy Cow an awesome homemade ice cream place that I highly recommend. But wear bug spray - we got eaten alive there. read more

This is a very nice resort. The pool is beautiful and it is very dog friendly with a small dog run and a big dog run. Our hosts were very friendly and made us feel right at home. The other guests that we met were pleasant as well. As the trees continue to grow, this is going to be a very beautiful location.We enjoyed our stay! read more

Pool is green. Hot tub is falling apart and is disgusting. WiFi is terrible. Cable TV breaks often. Restrooms are dirty. Management is non-existent. The place was great but it has gone downhill since Zeman Homes bought it at the end of 2018. This is a "Resort" in name only. read more

So before my review I need to note that the resort is not yet finished. We weren't notified until we came to check in which caught me off guard. They absolutly took care of us giving a gift card for a future visit. With that I gave it a day or so to check everything out. The plus side to the resort is everything is new. The people who work here are pleasant and very helpful. The size of the site we stayed on was good in size with proper location of amenities. The pool looks great along with the splash pad once the pad is complete. They also build a large patio for the seasonal sites which we like. The location is amazing for the beaches and fishing. It's only a 10min drive to some of the largest beaches in Rhode Island. The outlook of the finished product looks like a top notch camp resort. The downers..... First thing I would have expected is level sites. Brand new camp ground I'm highly disappointed it took us over an hour to level our camper. It wasn't just our site neither they are almost all unlevel. There is one site they had to use a large spool from electrical wire to lift the back end. That's almost a foot and a half off. To me there's no excuses there. The overall size of the campground is great but two pools would have made a better choice. It worries me on busy weekends how it will hold everyone. We have a 1year old son so to keep him busy besides a pool is a play ground. From what we read is it's supposed to be top of the line. It was pathetic. All it consist of is a swing set with no infant seats a small rocking horse and a small jungle gym. The only thing he could have possibly played with was the wood chips. The camp store should at least be stocked with the basics for emergencies. It's pretty empty. To finish off my review overall I did see a large potential of growth with the campground. Small changes could make a big difference. My experience was good and we are absolutely going to use our gift card to give it another chance. I would hope they take into consideration adding to the playground and doing what they can to make this a "resort" as of now it's just another campground. I really hope they live up to what was expected. I don't see a Normandy farms type resort but I see a more affordable and family oriented place to let my son grow up. read more

Really like this park! Amenities are great, bathrooms and showers are clean, staff is helpful and kind, water is great, electric and sewer hookups are easy. There is a combination firepit/grill and picnic table on every site. The resort is fully functional, pool and hot tub are ready and the trees are growing!! Been coming to this campground since they opened. It has become mostly seasonal. Can't even swim in the pool between 10:00AM and 12:00PM. The site markers in our row are marked so it looks like you are on the correct site, but it is actually the next one. My sister-in-law made a mistake and parked in the incorrect site. To call this place the resort is ridiculous. We've stayed here about five times over the past six years, and each time we think it's gonna get better. Well It hasn't. In fact I think it's gotten worse since it was sold. First of all it's almost impossible to get anybody on the phone. The welcome center or so-called store is an embarrassment they have absolutely no supplies, and the excuse is, there's a store down the street. Which isn't very convenient if you have a motorhome and no other vehicle. The actual sites are not bad but because this RV park sits on a old quarry it's very rocky. The pool is a little bit bigger than an a house pool, and the hot tub is gross. I can't speak for any of the bathrooms because I didn't use them. There is no food at this park whatsoever, no snack bar nothing. I found the majority of people that stay here, use it as a overnight place and then drive down to the beach. Which again goes back to my initial statement about this being called a resort. Quite honestly there's hardly nothing to do here for kids. Playground isn't much, and the game room is sparse. So if you intend to just drop here and go to the beach every day, then this might be your place. But if you have a motorhome and no other vehicle, I would not recommend staying here. The first time we came here we met the original owners, and it seemed like he had a plan. But ever since it's been sold to a major corporation I think it's just a money pit for them. It's a shame because I think it has the potential to be a very good park, again resort is not the word I would use when talking about this RV park. read more

Just home from a wonderful experience at this RV resort. The grounds are well kept and the pool areas are inviting and well maintained. Plenty of activities for kids and adults. Very accommodating staff! The sites are level and although close you have enough privacy. As the trees grow that will also improve. Cable worked well. WiFi was slow. The staff is very friendly and helpful...They still have a few things that need to be completed ..however, with that said the campground is very clean ...pool area is great for kids with the splash zone and I love that the hot tub is gated and for adults only....The rec room has a pools table , air hockey and several arcade games...They have a great pavilion with a stage that they show movies on for the kids..There is tennis,basketball, and shuffle board. The site are a good size and I like that half is stone for the camper and the other half grass. read more

First off in regards to a couple of previous posts this campground is now complete. From the moment that you arrive at the gate the staff are courteous and helpful. In regards to the gate, this place has it on target. They have all of the reservations at the gate and give you instructions to your site and after hours pass access right at the gate instead of requiring the driver to go into the store causing a potential bottleneck leaving the store personnel to maintain that aspect. The campground roads have the potential to be dusty but personnel are on top of it with a mobile water spreader. The sites are spaced well apart and are intermingled with seasonal occupants. The fire rings also double as a grill so no need for a grill grate. Pool is nice and attached to a modern game room building. R/C car track is a BYO. They are not supplied. All in all the only drawback is that the store is not as stocked as other stores at most campgrounds but then again usually we are just sending our kids up there with a few bucks for an ice cream and a drink. Very nice place and we would definitely stay here again. read more

Arrived on Thursday August 21 with two other rigs looking forward to a three night stay.First impressions were not good. Roads were not paved and the gravel was loose. When we got to the sights we were dissapointed again. The sights were small and very unlevel. One of my cohorts had to get extra wood from the construction sight to level his camper. The camper pad was just big enough to put our 32 footer on. The gravel at the sight was not firm either. It was the first time i've had to use 4Dlo to park my camper. The grass was not even cut in the three sights. Wouldn't you think you would have someone mow those sights knowing you had three customers coming in?What else? Hot tub wasn't. Office store had nothing even though brochure shows walls of K-cups. No ice. I guess they lost the recipe. We asked where the game room was and the attendant didn't know the answer. The amswer is its not done yet. Big surprise! Last straw was one of my friends posted some negative comments on Ashaways facebook page. The campground removed his comments and then blocked him from leaving any more. We didn't recieve any vouchers to return and thats okay. We won't be back but I will let other campers hear our story. I have one piece of advice for the management team of Ashaway RV Resort. The saying goes "Under promise and over deliver" Not the other way around. read more
