Im looking forward to the last two months and to the field im going into. If your looking for a school to become an electrician i would 1000% recommend going in for an interview. So many helpful people that want you to succeed here. Randy my teacher has done everything to keep us entertained and excited for all of our book work. This truly will change your life. I cant wait to give yall an update after im done. Big thanks to Carl for giving me a couple motivational talks to get me more excited about this upcoming last two months

I am currently a student here at SUI in the DMS program, graduating in March…read more It has truly been a blessing to learn about my dream career here at SUI. The program is accredited, which is great. Dr. Suhad is an amazing professor. She is down to earth and just brilliant. I couldn't imagine learning about sonography from anyone else. Melissa, my clinical coordinator, is very encouraging and I appreciate all of her help during my clinicals. I want to be 100% transparent about my time here at SUI so I will also speak about some things that can be improved on. I believe that better communication and full transparency will take this program to the next level. I think that the amazing staff, like Dr. Suhad and Melissa, are taking on a lot of responsibility and if their burden was shared with possibly more staff, the program would be so much more amazing. There are a few other kinks not worth mentioning but I know that SUI is already done some steps to make the next cohort's experience better than what mine was so I know they are very well capable of greatness. Nonetheless, my time here at SUI was/is truly remarkable. I would recommend it if you are seriously as passionate about sonography as I am.

As a working single mother, I invested $5,000 in this program hoping to build a better future for…read moremy family. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling unsupported and unfairly treated. I struggled with Physics and repeatedly sought help from my instructor, Tamara. After expressing that I felt behind, I was told that other students needed assistance and that she would try to get to me when she could. Rather than receiving the guidance I needed, I often felt dismissed. Toward the end of the program, I became seriously ill. During finals week, when attendance was not mandatory and students had been allowed to leave early, I stayed behind specifically to ask questions because I was committed to learning. On one occasion, I attended a meeting while traveling to a doctor's appointment and later received medical documentation supporting my condition. Despite this, I was written up for attending the meeting from my car and later for not wearing scrubs during an after-class meeting, even though I could not find a policy in the student handbook requiring uniforms for meetings outside scheduled class time. I was also required to write a one-page letter regarding the incident. What was particularly concerning was the apparent inconsistency in how disciplinary actions were applied. I observed other students arriving late to class without receiving the same level of disciplinary action, including formal write-ups or being required to write a one-page letter. This left me feeling that I was being held to a different standard. I also felt that my work was not evaluated fairly. Despite following assignment instructions, using the required ultrasound images, and incorporating the requested examples, I received only the minimum passing grade. Throughout the program, students are frequently reminded that instructors and program staff have significant influence over clinical placements and future opportunities within the profession. Because of this, I felt uncomfortable raising concerns or filing complaints while enrolled, out of fear that doing so could negatively impact my clinical experience or future success in the program. As a result, I remained silent about many of the issues I experienced. Throughout the program, I worked hard to balance full-time employment, motherhood, health challenges, and my education. Instead of receiving support, I felt that personal opinions may have influenced how I was treated. I later failed my final to which I blame not getting the support that I needed with half a point and I knew she had personal issues with me because she did not contact me with any support when I know she reached out to another student that had dropped out and gave her support so she had personal issues with me when little does she know that I was a struggling mother of two working full-time and trying to get through this program not fully understanding it and wanting help and never getting it . My experience left me disappointed and feeling that student success depended more on instructor preference than on effort and dedication. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this program. Definitely be careful. I have never been treated so horribly by a teacher in my life and I have been to a community college as well as a 4 year college, and when voicing my concerns the only reply I received was thank you for your concerns. Beware. So I hope Tamara feels proud of herself for ruining someone's future for personal unknown reasons. mind you I had done every assignment I could, every extra credit that was assigned, attended every study group I could to try and pass this class. beware if they decide they do not like you. They will make sure that they take your money and that you do not pass and proceed.

The length was over 2 1/2 years. I started January 2020 and finished August 2022. I would have appreciated the transparency upfront during the admissions process. Some students were there longer than me. I'd recommend clarifying this during the admissions process if you plan on attending this school. The instructors were overall great. Some would go out of their way to schedule one on one tutoring sessions if a student needed it. I really felt that I had support if I needed it. The legal instructors were very knowledgeable in the field and taught skills and tasks that are used in the legal field. I had the pleasure of attending while Linda Gardenhire was Department Chair and then Eric Fernandez when she retired. They were both amazing and supportive throughout my whole program. They were very personable and I felt like they genuinely really cared about the success of their students. I happened to have Eric as an instructor for Contract Law and Advanced Legal Research and Writing. These classes were definitely a challenge for me, I made sure to meet with Eric early on and communicate this to him. He did a great job clarifying and helping me through the challenging assignments. He really pushed me out of my comfort zone and challenged me to be better. The class material mirrors what paralegals do in the field and will help prepare anyone looking to succeed in the legal field.

I enjoyed my time at Kash's, but I also understand some of past reviewers frustrations. Having said…read morethat, though, I will absolutely use Kash again for any future CEUs I might need and I would HIGHLY recommend them. I will only speak for myself with this review and what I saw. I also think it would be helpful to touch on what I know now, compared to at the beginning of my courses, when I didn't really know what I was getting in to. I started with the CNA course offerred in Sept/Oct and also took the weekend Nov HHA course. Both had an online lecture portion and in-person Clinicals. I think it goes without saying that I was with Kash for a while and in a variety of experiences, so I think I can speak to alot of different aspects. And I will also say that I JUST completed my CNA Skills Exam yesterday and passed on the first try. Lecture: Yes, the lecture Instructor, Mr. Steven Moe, goes off on tangents during class, but he's such a sweet man. He really is there because he wants us to do well. But there are expectations with anything... showing up to class on time, no talking out of line, or students yelling. Yes, that did happen a few times on our Zooms and it was awkward. Generally speaking, if you go in with an understanding that you'll just have to jump through some hoops, then you'll be fine. You get what you want out of any experience and just find the nuggets that are medically relevant and move on. Clinicals: I had both Ms. Linda Williams (for CNA) and Ms. Mavis Stovall (for HHA) and they were both excellent Instructors. If you are willing to put in the work and be a team player, you'll do just fine. I did overhear some students complain that what we are doing is 'slave labor,' because we're working for free, but giving the benefit of the doubt, maybe they just haven't had experience in the medical field. As a med student, a student nurse, training to be a CNA, or HHA, anything, you name it... you HAVE to put in hours in a Clinical setting and you're not going to get paid to do that. How else will you learn? Just jump through this hoop. You CHOOSE to be there, so just make the most of it. Every minute you're there, you're learning something new that could potentially help a future patient and THAT is the most important. WHAT I WOULD'VE DONE DIFFERENTLY, NOW THAT I'M THROUGH THE COURSE (the CNA course specifically): Credentia website: Credentia.com is the website that you will schedule your Skills exam, once you have completed the course. And it also contains the resources and step by step instructions for all 22 skills that each State tests on. We were told to not go on to Credentia to look at anything related to the Skills during the Lecture portion of class. I wish I didn't listen. You can go on and create an account to get a look at the Handbook anytime. We generally discuss the skills in Lecture in the book, but, again, it's not specific to California. I could have been waaaay more efficient in my studying, had I just gone on to Credentia and looked at California's Handbook right off the bat. But playing devil's advocate, I can see why Mr. Moe would say to not look at the Handbook, because one might get overwhelmed. I have taken college level coursework for years, so I have had the time as a student to know what works for me. I'm sure some folks taking this course might not have been a student for long and might get overwhelmed if they look at the Handbook too early. But if you feel like you know yourself well enough, know what works for you and you study well and efficiently, you might benefit from this tidbit. Hartman videos you will be watching: Don't get me wrong, these videos are invaluable, because we were online and we didn't have each other, or mannequins to practice on. But, this goes back to knowing that there are State specific Skills... the Hartman videos are not specific to California and I would've liked to have known that earlier on. MOST of what the videos touch on is correct for California, but I'm weird... I would've wanted to know the specific details of what California wanted to see alot sooner than we did. Hence... why I discussed the Credentia Handbook above. Practicing the Skills themselves: You will NOT be able to practice the Skills correctly while at your Clinicals. There is simply no time for that. The CNA employee has enough to do. Get what practice in where/when you can. Just understand that you will HAVE to study outside of class, at home. Treat it like ANY other class you would take... you sit through lecture and then study at home. There seemed to be alot of unnecessary pain caused in some students, where they expected that all Skills practice would happen on the job. I just wish we had access to a mannequin, somehow, but that's just not an option and I had to be ok with that. Overall, just go with the flow. Be on time and just rise to any expectations. If you resist/complain, this experience could be pretty challenging. I hope this helps! Good luck all!!
