Very friendly and helpful people. All prices are clearly stated on their information sheet. Unfortunately, I didn't use them and I should have! They were priced only $1 more for General Purpose Hardwood mulch-$24/yd and so I skimped by going down the street to grumpy Hipps Stone - for the last time. Delivery charge same within 10 miles-$45. Very inconsistent hours. I have been buying mulch for a couple of years and have found the Candler facility closed even though the hours indicated that it was open. Once I called just to confirm that it was actually open and was told that the website was always correct. Today thinking that that was maybe an overstatement. I called in advance. Guess what? Great communication, driver called to be sure we were home and give us an ETA, was right on time. He was also EXCELLENT as dumping the hardwood mix first then pulling forward and dumping the planting mix so very little of them combined. I was super impressed. I knew it was a risk with a single delivery of two distinct materials but it went just fine. I got the pine/hardwood mix and AMY's planting mix and both were excellent and as featured. Amy's planting mix has mushroom compost in it did indeed grow some mushrooms but was NOT seeded with other things, like the cheap stuff I got from the hardware store. And, it was about the same price in the end. Totally worth it. BTW I ordered online and it was seamless, but I was supposed to call in my order bc of the two different soils (I'm not the best at reading the directions - it is actually very clearly stated on their site). They called me to make sure I was okay with a possibly not-so-seamless separation when they dumped the soils. I really couldn't be happier. You can tell they take pride in their work and in their company. The driver talked to us for a bit and recommended some other products for us to use and although we haven't purchased yet, everything he said made a lot of sense and we'll be following his advice. read more
