I was referred to Ashland Muffler and Welding by Dan McClure at McClures Auto Repair (whom I highly recommend). My Corolla failed emissions at the DEQ in Medford. I my registration had just expired, so I really needed to get this fixed ASAP to be compliant with the law. I mentioned this to the proprietor of Ashland Muffler and he was very understanding -- he was willing to fit me in that same day! The price and time were as quoted and fair. This is the kind of service that 1.) keeps me as a customer and 2.) gets me to refer others to a business. I would highly recommend visiting this shop if you have any exhaust-related problems. I cannot overstate how awesome it is to have this business in the neighborhood. After asking them to make a custom muffler for my tractor (finished early and below quoted cost) I've asked the to do a variety of different welding jobs and they've come through every time. I restore old Italian cars, so there's lots of random welding needed on old, thin, and rusty steel; AM&W get it done. The owner seems super nice and fair warning....... the dog in the office will bark like crazy when you come in just to let the owner, who's working out the back, know that you're there, but it's a real sweetheart. Ive been coming to his shop for years. I had a wheel bearing go out on my truck. I needed a shop to press the bearing of my hub. I spent 2 days driving around to every shop in the valley. All the shops turned me away. Les Schwab spent some time trying to get the bearing apart but even they failed. Finally ashland muffler and welding gave it a shot. He had it done in 30 minutes. Even repressed the new bearing. He only charged me 50$. I was so happy with his service and commitment to get the job done i tipped him a 50$. Not sure about these other negative comment. My Dad, daughter and I and a truckload of baby stuff were driving from Astoria to the Bay Area when a horrific sound and sputtering started emitting from the underbelly of our truck. Had a 8:00 am appointment to have my exhaust pipe fixed. I was idling in my truck in front of his garage door entrance, assuming he would come and open the doors and want me to pull in. There was a sigh that said no parking, however, I was in my truck and not in the road way and could easily move if needed to get out of the way of anyone that needed me too as I was not parked, simply in my truck idling. I also could of moved into a parking spot if needed, but considered that I could just pull into his work space when he arrived as he knew I had an appointment. Either way, no animals where harmed in my idling in the truck there and I would have moved if he just asked, or if I needed too. He pulled up, apparently was extremely agitated had a bad attitude and seemed very high strung. "This is not a good start to my day!", he yelled, this is all I heard as he opened his front door and flung himself inside his shop like a pissed off hen. I said, "I did not hear what you said?" He then approached me in a VERY aggressive manner and yelled "There are parking spaces in front of the business, this is not a good start to my day!" I thought to myself, perhaps he could say, "could you please park in one of the spots in front of the business", or "I am not ready to let you in can you move to one of the spots in front of the business and I will be right with you." Calm, collective, understanding and professional. Common courtesy and a little negotiation skills can go a long ways. This person has none of the qualities of a good business person, and perhaps does a good job, but could use some training in manners and anger management classes. We then had words, I walked out of his office and swung his front door behind me not knowing he was following me out. He then approached me in a manner I can only describe as aggressive with intent to start a fight. I left. He is no diplomat, and I strongly would not do business with this person until he gets anger management and some professional help behind him. Professional people not only do a good job, but are helpful and understand what it means to have courtesy. read more

I have used Cory for a couple of ridiculously small jobs. He spot welded the handle on my wife's favorite saucepan lid and charged me $2. I had an expensive sliding door frame shipped with a bend and he straightened it nearly perfectly. I have sent friends to him with the same results. I'm working on an old land rover restoration and he is my go to guy for a roll cage. I highly recommend for any metal work. read more

Honest, competent, Quality shop. I almost didn't use this guy because of the one bad review, than I checked out the guys (Thomas B.S.) other 4 reviews, he does not like anybody. I don't know Corey personally, just thru his business. Corey was nice, didn't try to sell me more than my old Ford-150 needed, done on time for a good price. What more do does a person want. After an exhaust flange broke on my vehicle, I was in desperate need to get a repair from a professional, since welding is beyond my level of automobile maintenance. This place got me in quickly, and the cost was very reasonable. Not sure if they handle all exhaust problems here, but the man is a fantastic welder for those types of issues. Take note that their street signage is minimal so it can be challenging to locate the shop. read more
