DONT!! Quality isn't good, I spent thousands of $$ on living room, dining room and bedrooms. And have issues with 75% of what I bought! VERY DISAPPOINTED!! Customer service is horrible! Couch- Couches squeak, I got 4 pillows that aren't wrapped, so I can't wash them. If u have any pets be prepared to constantly re puff the back cushions on your couch, they don't hold their shape AT ALL!!! Dining room table - says it's wood but it's not!! I have bubbles on the top from small spills that were cleaned quickly! Crap construction!! Dining room - table has stains Bed room - was delivered the wrong one, didn't notice until 2 months later, because it was slightly different and was my daughters bedroom set, was told nothing could be done because it was to late. Bar stools- they snag on everything!! Even though it's smooth 'leather' so there are tears in them. Had issues from day 1!! Customer service does NOTHING!! Just asked to send txt's and brief videos. UPDATE! We finally received the furniture months after promised. It's clear that Ashley has no control over inventory nor do their managers nor do they know what they're doing. Constant runaround of lies miscommunication and inability shocks me into understanding how this business can still be running. Nobody has a clue of what's going on there. We still have two dining room chairs arrive filthy but we're done we can no longer play this game with them. It's just too hard too much a waste of ones time. Ashley may reply to this and say contact customer service but that's a farce too. The biggest thing of this was when we went into the store and ask for a manager and the reply was - managers don't talk to customers. I don't know if there's a book on the shelf that would support this business model. All the horrible reviews you're reading about this company are true and believe me it's a shock at how they're still in business. Suffice it to say we will never ever ever use Ashley furniture again we will pay more money for better service And with a company that actually cares. I bought the bed from the store. They delivered in and assembled for me, but when they're assembling, there are a lot of issues with parts. The drawer not closing, headboard back panel broken, paint damages. Since we bought the warranty, those people delivered says, we will replace the damage parts and paint those dents. They started to come once in a while and do one fix at the time. They are here since Augguest to now, they did fix the headboard panel as of now. Different people showing up and measuring and coming back with different parts. The last time they show up on Friday with another part which is no damage at all and no need to replace. I received in 2019 a dining table and server. Within 90 server began peeling warping and fading. I sent an email to Ashley Cuatomer Horror Center. Within days I saw the same thing happening on the table and chairs. I was told that it was cosmetic so not under the one year manufacturers nor the 4 year plan I had paid for. Dec 2020 I sued them for 120.00 in small claims court. They immediately called and offered to take back the 4,000 in furniture for a credit. They stated they would not pay for the warranty, Finance or court fees. (1,000) They have filed a defence stating I am entitled to the warranty resolition which is a 4,000 credit if they cannot repair to factory condition. I have instructed the court to proceed to trial. Buyers beware: just received a call from Ashley Home Care stating they will not cover the damage to my walls due to a waiver being signed. I signed the waiver for the door for them to get the furniture in the bonus room and specifically put for door only! Due to the mover's incompetence, it took them several tries to get the furniture upstairs. Not surprising when the man at the bottom of the couch was quite small and they needed someone with muscle bulk. In the process of getting the piece upstairs they gouged my walls and ended up ripping the new piece trying to get it through the door. Never received a call from Ashley apologizing for the damage-really,really poor customer service!!!! Very unethical to go into a home, damage it and then try to deny a claim to fix their wrongdoing! Ashley needs to inform a customer when a piece is quite bulky and will not fit through a normal sized door frame!!! Salesman was awful to deal with but the managers of the store were very helpful. Last week we dealt with an amazing sales person named Marco. We purchased a couch and arranged for delivery today June 3rd between 10-2. I had to call the store 3 times to find out where my couch was, only to be told that they forgot to load it on the truck and the delivery date is actually a guideline. I took the day off work to be at home for the delivery as well. They further said the earliest that it can now be delivered is June 8th. So my company who is coming in from out of town will have a floor to sit on instead of the couch as planned. They are unable to even fix it for tomorrow delivery. They want me to take another day off work to receive the couch. I had the displeasure of having to deal with a woman at the store named Trish on the third call I made because the previous woman I was dealing with goes home at 2 pm and no one called me back. Trish was extremely rude in dealing with me. Her suggestion was a third party delivery service which I could arrange but she was not even sure wether the couch was in the store or the warehouse. I've called so many times, and the rep would tell me that they are ordering my stuff but when I call back 2 weeks later they don't have any record of anything being ordered. Ladies and Gents...if i can make a recommendation to you all !!!! STAY AWAY FROM PURCHASING ANY FURNITURE FROM ASHLEY'S FURNITURE!!!! Husband and I purchased furniture and it was delivered broken...the company is claiming that they can fix it...so we wait for 1 month for the parts to come in and when they get to us they sent the wrong parts...so our recliner now will spring open when someone sits in it and we can't get it back down unless you pull the furniture out and flip it on its back to release the arm that allows it to go back down. The service tech was under the sofa and when he released the arm the foot rest came crashing on his head. I swear he has a concussion! Our rocker purchased this year was delivered broken, the parts that were delivered to repair the rocker were a piece of cardboard, some white foam and a piece of material. The repair technician attempted to fix the chair and when the material was removed to expose the so called broken arm he came to realize that the back of the rocker is all cracked. I was informed at this time that he would relay this message to his supervisor and have them set up a time so that they can pick the chair up and send it to be repaired. We have had this piece of furniture since early September and I have yet to sit in the chair So it is Christmas time and we have several family members coming for dinners and on top of being concerned with all the preparations, family dinners, kids, dogs and elderly parents...we also have to worry about a recliner and rocker (two main pieces of furniture) not only broken but now also DANGEROUS and customer care (more like customer care-less) will be arranging a time in the new year to "Repair" them. This is aimed at the Brentwood store in Calgary. They have a very bizarre pricing system. I buy a recliner at 40% off and the price I pay is $1379.99. What original price 40% off of is a mystery but the next week the price is 48% off and is $1449.99 that one pays. Ridiculous! And they sell me the White Glove delivery so I don't get it dumped at the door with the promise they will take away my old recliner but the delivery guys say no they are too full on the truck and the invoice does not state haul away. Worst experience ever! I bough a sofa online and when checking out it just mentioned I would have free delivery (as it was above $250, sofa price was $525) so I thought that was great even though it was weeks away. The "shipping and delivery" was only until your door and when I called to ask why it doesn't say anything during checkout, the woman said that if I wanted it delivered inside my apartment I had to pay more. Nowhere did it say or gave the option to "upgrade" the delivery, otherwise I would have done that as I live alone. When I was telling this to her, she hung up!! Talk about customer service!! 2) The 2 guys delivering had a horrible attitude, looked tired and were rude. When I was heading outside of my building to meet them, there was only one guy and he dropped my sofa when trying to put in on the dolly, a neighbour coming out ran to try to catch it but failed. 3) After asking a couple of neighbours for help, I was about to install the legs and I found there were no holes in the wood to put them in. I contacted them and after two customer service representatives with terrible attitude as well, they just said someone would contact me when they had a date to send a technician. 4) The next day I called them and explained what had happened and that I was not given a complaint file number or anything to follow up. The guy on the phone proceeds to say I was scheduled for January 21st (literally 33 days from the day I was calling) to have a technician come to my apartment to install the legs! This was the first and last time I ever buy anything from them! The sofa is nice BUT it's not worth the headaches and the horrible attitude I got from every single person (delivery guys, phone, chat) I talked to!! Purchased a sofa with the extra 5 year protection plan (almost 2 years ago). The cushions were never as comfy as I thought they would be, based on my in store experience, but are completely shot now. Springy in the middle but you fall into the couch, between the cushions, if you're not sitting directly in the centre. I called the purchase store and they told me I'd have to deal with the third party protection plan people. Their plan does not cover defective cushions. We've spent more than $4,000 for dining chairs and couch and paid the highest delivery fee to get our items HOPEFULLY CLEAN AND OBVIOUSLY NOT BROKEN BUT THAT'S WHAT WE GOT. All the items are delivered not on boxes but as is already. Fabric got dirty spots. We let go of it but the horrible experience is to get a couch that is broken for the 3X in a span of 2 months. YES BROKEN 3X IN A SPAN OF 2 MONTHS. We've been calling the customer service that is not super helpful. We purchased this hoping we got a brand new items but clearly looks like someone just returned them too. 3X of error and I was hoping they will just refund and get the furniture out into our new home and they said hard no and they will just repair it every-time it's broken. A note that only 1 person is sitting which is supposed to be for 5 people and it's broken. Waste of money. Couldn't be more disappointed with Ashley. I bought a nice leather/vinyl sofa from them a couple of years ago and was sold an extended warranty by the salesman. The salesman told me that this warranty would cover anything and everything that could happen with the sofa. He even went as far as telling me that I could intentionally rip the sofa and it would still be covered. Now, when a rip appears, I am told that the salesman sold me an upholstery warranty! ON A LEATHER SOFA! Ashley was willing to honour it as a leather warranty, but is now telling me that the specific piece that ripped is actually vinyl and is therefore not covered... What happened to 'covers anything and everything?' I only paid for the warranty because the salesman reassured me that there was virtually nothing that could happen which would not be covered. Not only do I find this to be somewhat false advertising, but it also seems like they only use the warranty to up the price of their furniture... Funny that the vinyl portion is the only portion they do not cover for rips and tears... Almost like they expect it to fail and therefore, avoid insuring those items. Absolute joke of a company purchased a brand new couch from them that was suppose to be white according to the picture online. Got the couch it had multiple stains and was gray in colour. Was willing to get a different item from their store so we didn't get charged the "25%" refund or "10%" restocking fee. They insisted on charging the "10%" restocking fee even though we wanted a different item from their store. Paid good money to have a brand new couch and it came stained. Worst buying experience EVER!!!! Spent a lot of money on a mattress and a bed frame in September 2018 and I got rewarded with 5 months of waiting, lies and even attitude from what they call Client Care (Client dont Care seems more realistic) Had to wait months for the bed frame to arrive and when it finally did it was broken. Ive been sleeping on the edge of my 3k bed to avoid more damage to the base and now im starting to get back pain. Ive been waiting for several weeks for the parts to arrive and they are not even able to provide a firm answer. Blaming UPS.... its 2019 PLEASE!! And the best part is if I want to return it im getting charged a considerable restocking fee. "Guest care" is some of the worst customer service we have encountered. Despite having relied on Ashley furniture for our larger furniture buys over the years, after this experience we will be looking elsewhere to spend our money. We purchased a new dinning set earlier this year - we received a defective chair as well as dinning table. We called and emailed, and initially they tried to deny the table was defective (visible paint drips in the finish itself). We weren't able to be seen for the defects for weeks - which we were gracious about because we do appreciate times aren't the usual right now and we were ok to wait - we had a place to eat after all. They came, dealt with the defective chair and the person who saw the table said it wasn't something that could be fixed on the spot, agreed it was not part of the table, and said he would send a note letting them know it needs to be dealt with at the warehouse. We were contacted about both a pick up and drop off date (would be taken for a week) in advance. Return day comes, we are notified of the delivery window and make ourselves available. The truck shows up, there is confusion on what's supposed to be delivered and we are told it looks like their van was too full to have had our table put on the truck and they don't have it. We are told they'll call and it'll likely be delivered later in the day. We wait.. only to get a call that we need to schedule another day during the week for delivery. We are working folks, who leave early and return home late Monday to Friday. We are basically told there is nothing they can do with the fact that we were simply shafted as "the truck was too full" (without any notification, and even a delivery window we stayed home for). We were frustrated and told we would be contacted Monday to see if they could adjust and deliver early in the week at a later time in the evening given we work late. Silence come Monday. No word, until we call and are told its booked for the Friday the 11th? Nobody spoke to us regarding this date, nobody had contacted us at all since Saturday so this date for 1 doesn't work, and 2 wasn't discussed at all, let alone agreed on. I was forward with the information with the person I spoke with Saturday that we are away that weekend. Monday, we were told they could send an email to see if it could be arranged - I thought this was done Saturday as I was told we would hear back about a sooner delivery during that conversation.. so we wait to hear back all of Monday - we call again and are told they just haven't heard back yet but we will get a call tomorrow. Here we are, tomorrow is today - Tuesday June 8, and we hear nothing. I finally called at 2pm and was told they haven't heard back but worst case it'll be delivered on the 11th. I expressed my concern that we are not home, I also don't think it's fair to wait over 2-3 weeks for a return of our dining table due to their issue and no communication with us as the customer. I was brushed off, told that bridge could be crossed when we get there but right now they are waiting for a reply and we would be contacted. I expressed my frustrated having waited now 2 days without hearing from them and if the person could email again - I was informed they just sent another email so several have been sent but they haven't heard back. I asked for a number to call - but no such number exists, and I am just to wait, as I have for 2 days with no word. I'm not sure what break down in communication there is between guest care and the warehouse/delivery - as on Saturday they had no trouble communicating that we were simply shafted and out of luck, we got a quick reply that day. We have been patient and understanding about the wait to even get to our defective pieces fixed (it took weeks before they came out to deal with anything), I was gracious with the initial fact that stuff didn't arrive when the truck pulled up, oh well, stuff happens but was reassured it would come later that day. But then for there to be no communication till late that afternoon - being told they simply couldn't fit our stuff onto the truck, (despite a date, time and confirmation being set) and it would need to be rescheduled another day is outrageous. Now we are being ignored, apparently they haven't heard back despite multiple emails (suspicious at this point), and absolutely no attempt to cooperate with us, after the mishandling of our case, is simply unacceptable. Nobody is even calling us with any update, we are having to phone in to anyone and everyone to try to get an answer and deal with this situation as it's silence from Ashley's end. We are beyond frustrated, disappointed and feel the lack of communication, cooperation and the way we were simply shafted and only got a shrug is unacceptable. I dealt with the 64th St. store and if I had my time back, I wish that I would have never entered that store. Went into the store and ended up buying an upholstered sleigh bed. It was a floor model and the sales and floor people were fair and pleasant to deal with. The bed had a damaged rail, which I guess in hindsight I should have questioned its quality and ran, but I was assured that it would be coming with new ones. So, I picked the bed up on a Tuesday, and put it in storage until I got my place on the Saturday following. On Saturday, after closing time I was assembling the bed and realized that the rail was broken and would not support the weight of a bed, so it was not usable. I am not sure if they just shipped the original broken one out or if they damaged new ones....regardless, its not usable. New house, new bed, sleeping on the floor; Great! On Monday AM I visited the store and I was told that I should have called sooner to which I said.... Oh I guess I should have just opened it up in an alley or something then? I showed pictures of it and the lady told me that someone would be in contact with me right away. Right away never came, and the following day she called to see if I could send the pictures I had in an email.......I am not sure why she did not ask for them initially when I showed them, but hey, I guess its not her sleeping on the floor. So, I emailed them to her.... today I am on day 3 and have followed up with another email and I am SUPER mad about it. Do your best to avoid this place!!!! read more

The fridge handle missing a screw which their customer cares was unable to solve the problem. They request the customer to contact with Whirlpool since Whirlpool is the actual manufacture company. Bed frame was chipped on delivery date, the delivery man reported to customer care and schedule for 2 - 3 weeks replacing a new one but never hear from them again! We went to the store at Heritage in Calgary. We bought 2 recliners spending $700 and understanding they would drop the boxes off at our door and we had to bring them in This was the free shipping. As it was a small purchase no big deal. We then asked about purchasing a new bed one that was on sale for $2400 Plus the box spring or base. We had a great salesperson very knowledgeable. But was a huge purchase so we decided to think about it. I went back to the store the next day asked for my salesperson he was not in yet but the sales manager could help me out. I said as this was our 3 purchase and was substantial they could bring it in the house. This I was told was $150 and they had to charge me as they had to buy insurance to be able to come into my home. Now I do know they would have insurance as any business would and that is not free. But I must look stupid for them to tell me that they had to buy special insurance for each delivery. I left the store as I don't like being told a tall tale. 20 mins later my phone rings and my original salesperson leaves a voice mail that he would give me free delivery and set up on the bed. That was followed by a text I thought that he did deserve the sale as he did a great job before and I respected that. So we went back to the store this afternoon Met with the sales person. He gave us the final prices after try to sell us all the added extras - bed covers - extended warranties etc. We go to the sales desk - I thought to pay for my purchase and was introduced to another sales manager that preceded to tell me he could not discount the delivery fee but he would discount the bed by $120 so the delivery would ONLY be $30. I was so disgusted that once again I left the store without making a purchase. Are they selling furniture or used cars? This is not about the $30! How is this store still open? We ordered furniture at the end of October and it is now the end of December and it's still not here. We had an initial delivery date of mid-November but when I called to do a status check, it got changed to December 6. But they didn't call me to tell me, I had to call them to find out this information! December 3 rolls around and I call to get an update., the date has now changed to December 17. Frustrated obviously but we keep going. Guess what? December 17 rolls around and nothing comes, so now our date has changed to January 7, so I just called to get an update and now the date has change to January 20. I purchased my coffee tables from Ashely's and I really like them. As we were putting them together I noticed the legs on one set were not wood, almost seemed like a plastic, resin type of material. I called to inquire about that and they basically told me that in certain circumstances parts may be combined with other materials because they are stronger...whatever, I didn't care really, just curious and would have been nice to know this prior to purchasing them but I was fine with it. I also purchased a bedroom set for my little guy and loved the way it looked, initially. Within a few months of use, I noticed the drawers were sticking, the hinges were loosening and obvious damage from wear and tear was quite severe. I didn't call expecting a refund or reselect as I am familiar with their strict no return policy but was bummed to know that for what we paid we didn't get a quality product. And there was no resolution to be offered. I don't anticipate I will select Ashley's for future furniture selections due to their return policy and the craftsmanship of their items. Although they have some beautiful pieces, some might argue they are Liberache-esque, I can't see myself coming here for high quality investment pieces. 2.5 for the effort. read more

Unfortunately, unlike Lindsay K, not ONE single sales person approached me or my party of 3 during our ENTIRE visit at the Ashley Furniture Home Store. We were definitely looking to spend some serious dinero, and were extremely hopeful when we stepped inside the store and saw how massive it was! They had BEAAAUTIFUL furniture, BEAAAUUUTIFUL displays, BEAAAUUUTIFUL colours, but just one thing was missing...some service! We walked around the entire store and actually made eye contact with sales person after sales person but not ONE of them asked us if we needed help or approached us at any time. You know how when you walk into a department store and try your hardest to avoid every salesperson in the place? And you know how annoying it is when people won't stop trying to sell you stuff? Well, it wasn't any different at Ashley Furniture. The only thing different was that the salesman was super helpful and, actually, quite welcome by us. We had visited 6 different furniture stores looking for a stove when we decided to try Ashley as a last resort. When we first walked in we were already saying to ourselves that this place was too expensive. Everything looked so nice and fancy we though surely we couldn't afford their stoves. Boy, was I ever wrong. The friendly gentleman who immediately greeted us took us to find exactly what we needed. He didn't try to sell us something that was way out of our budget but instead showed us appliances within our price range. He didn't look at us funny when we said how much we wanted to spend, and didn't try to convince us to spend more. Needless to say, this guy was so helpful we ended up finding the perfect stove for exactly how much we wanted to spend. I couldn't believe how happy we were after leaving Ashley. We had completely lost hope after visiting other stores and thought surely we'd have to spend more. We were wrong. Ashely Furniture was our saviour!!! Next time I'm in need of a major appliance or piece of furniture, I'm not going to dismiss Ashley as too expensive. In fact, I'll probably head there first. I was so pleased with my purchase and how helpful our salesman was! I'm still so pleased with the product and this was a couple months ago! read more

My original experience at this store was one of the worst I had ever experienced but withing 24 hours of writing a bad review Ashley Furniture's head office contacted me. I talked to a wonderful man named Norman who gave me a completely acceptable resolution to the situation and made me hang up the phone happy. The location needs some serious changes in their customer service but the company itself gets my thumbs up! read more

Absolutely awful experience through Ashley furniture. We bought about 6,000 worth of furniture through them and absolutely everything has gone wrong/had to be redone/rebooked/damaged/not compensated/changed. Ashley Home Care DOES not have quality products, and WILL NOT repair damaged products if they are "more than a few inches off" (drawers to a cabinet). This is an absolute disgrace, and would never be able to gain back our service. Would not recommend. read more

If there was a zero star rating, this store would get it. Paid over $7000 to buy furniture that looked great in store but what I got delivered did not look or feel like what I saw in store. The associate was quick to sell me extended warranty but never took have a second to notify me about their strict return policy. Calling customer service on the 877 is another nightmare. After holding for 20+ minutes, it goes to voicemail or just disconnects. I am returning the furniture I bought and loosing 25% as restocking fee. This store is a big sham. Don't ever believe what you see in-store, what you get may be totally different and then they charge you 25% for scamming you. An Update on this sorry store: Ashley Furnitures would not pick up the furniture returned, they asked me to ship it to their warehouse or pay over $100 in addition to the 25% restocking fee to have it picked up(I am loosing over $800 for returning furniture that doesn't quite fit what was displayed in store. Think twice before putting your money down. They wont tell you all this when you buy. This is how it works with them: Customer walks in and is at first instance ignored until to call the attention of an associate When they sense you are likely to buy, they instantly switch mode and you are treated as king They will overload you with discount offers and push their extended warranty down your throat while in store Furniture gets delivered and if there is a problem, you can't get a hold of them on phone anymore unless you drive to the store and they will ask you to contact customer service directly What they would not do is this: THEY WILL NOT INFORM YOU THAT YOU HAVE 48hrs ONLY to return the furniture and when you do, IT's a whopping 25% off what you paid if you want your money back!!! read more

We bought furniture from "Ashley" and while we were in the process of buying, the seller kept talking about warranty and telling us to get a warranty and we got it and we paid $250 for it on top of everything else. They said the warranty would cover any damage. After a while of having the furniture, it got damaged and we called and they said "no it only covers another part of the furniture, we can't do anything about it." after a while again, the same part of the furniture they had said it covered, got damaged and we called once again to get it fixed they said the same thing. "No the warranty only covers the legs of the furniture." That is not fair! and they're trying to get more money from people in the wrong way, and the costumers to not get what they bought! I encourage people to read what they sign very carefully and to make sure they understand the whole thing before signing. read more

This is literally the bottom of the barrel when it comes to furniture retailers. I purchased a two piece sectional and ottoman In March 2018, and was told it would be delivered three weeks later. Two days before my scheduled delivery I receive a call indicating they only have half the couch and the rest of the couch will be delivered the following week. I agree as there are sometimes things outside the retailers control. The first half arrives fine. The next week the second piece arrives damaged, I'm told someone will contact me to arrange alternate delivery arrangements for a replacement piece. No one calls so I call back a week later and am told they cannot schedule yet and that someone will return my call. No one returns my calls again. I call back again and am told it'll be another month till the replacement piece will come. The Monday of the scheduled delivery week I call back to confirm and am told it's been delayed again. It's seriously ridiculous. A quick google search and you can see month long delivery delays is a common occurrence for All Ashley furniture stores through out North America. I guess there was even a class action lawsuit against them in the USA which ruled against Ashley. My advice STAY AWAY! GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! They won't even let you return the furniture you haven't received without a 25% restocking fee. BIGGEST JOKE EVER STAY CLEAR!!!! read more

I ordered Furniture with Ashley Furniture and it didn't fit (100% my fault). What I didn't expect was the absolute incredible rudeness that followed in getting my refund. I was made promises by untrained members of their staff and the company refused to honour. I was spoken to incredibly rudely by John Mark (Jean Marc?), berated for thinking that "deserved" a refund on delivery when that is what I was promised by their employee. None of the staff including Norm, the customer service supervisor had any respect for the customer, I would never ever recommend them. This is a shame because the in-store staff were incredibly helpful and kind but the follow through on the level of customer service was despicable and abhorrent. This company told me one thing and then REFUSED to follow through on it less than 24 hours later. read more
