My husband and I bought our first home and made the mistake of furnishing almost all of it through Ashley Furniture. HANDS DOWN the worst experience I've ever had. I would never recommend them to anyone. The customer service is awful, the prices are way too high for the quality, and the furniture itself is poorly made. We had multiple deliveries show up missing pieces or with the wrong items entirely, and getting anything fixed was a nightmare. The worst part? We couldn't even sleep in our own bedroom for months after moving in because our bed frame arrived without critical parts and they took forever to resolve it. It completely ruined what should have been an exciting time for us. On top of that, once they did finally build the bed set, a year later the bed frame completely fell apart and cannot be used. We have bought other items from different Ashley Furnitures. We are still in the middle of our transaction. It was a great experience while there. I ended up buying a bed frame, dresser, two night stands and two vases. We loved everything we bought and the sales associate. The thing that now is confusing is that we were told we would get a phone call on Monday to set up specific delivering...we bought on Saturday. We never got a call or text Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. I texted ok Thursday. I was told that they were sorry and would give more information the next day. Ordered a 4 piece sectional and the oversized ottoman on November 30th 2025. Get an email saying it will be delivered on January 9th 2026. I heard nothing from them. Checked the website, it doesn't tell you anything. I called the number only for someone to tell me everything I already knew. Finally got a number for the place that would be delivering and they said a few more weeks around the end of January. Here it is February 7th and still nothing. Never again. When it did parts were missing. 2nd delivery came and still parts were missing. I was offered to go back to the store and pick something in stock- which doesn't work as that is why we had to order in the 1st place -or wait another 30 days to hopefully have the right parts arrive. I elected to manufacture the missing parts. I then had to assemble it myself (paid for installation) without instructions. The engineering is horrible. It was designed such that you can't use power tools or ratchets only handheld allen wrenches. Once assembled it was not strong enough to to support the mattress so I again had to engineer and manufacture additional support. Will never do business there again. read more

I purchased two recliner sofas which were delivered November 2, 2021. 15 months later it's uncomfortable to sit in unless you like a protrusion sticking up you butt? Also one of the USB ports has not worked for months and one section of the sofa has sunken. In all, these two sofas are crap! Because it's just over one year since delivery. I would have to pay shipping costs plus labor for all these repairs now. We are a retired couple, living alone and have family visiting only a few times per year. I am recommending anyone interested in furniture to move on from anything Ashley. You may be better off going to a Big Lots and buy your disposable Ashley furniture there and save money. I purchased a sectional couch and recliner from Ashley Furniture online in May of 2025. It was $2400 all together. I keep it covered with a couch cover to protect it, but it is already pilling and there are approximately 6 snags in it already. The edges of the cushions are completely fraying. The recliner back has already broken and will no longer recline. Finally, the cushions do not fit the base and hang over the top. They also will not stay on the couch and constantly have to be put back in place. When I called to get assistance, requesting a full refund for very poor quality furniture( they actually should be ashamed to sell this to customers) they suggested I buy a sweater shaver to clean off the pillings and tape to keep the cushions in place. I did not spend 2400$ to use a sweater shaver and tape on my couch! I am horrified by the quality of their furniture and their lack of customer service or desire to provide a quality product. I will never purchase any Ashley Furniture again and will tell everyone I know to never purchase it as well. I am very disappointed. read more

Nice furniture. I'd like to buy some. However having been to this location twice in the last month, I've yet to actually speak to a sales associate. I've walked around the store and have never been greeted. I've sat and waited up front at a table and have never been approached. I sat for 40 minutes today while others came in after me and were helped. So I helped myself by ordering the bedroom set I wanted online. That took about 5 minutes and was a friendlier experience. My fiancé and I have been casually searching for a new bed frame. We stopped into Ashley's on a Sunday afternoon just to look. The store is huge and they utilize the space great because there are tons of options as far as home furniture/mattresses go. We were just walking around the store until we found a beautiful wood sleigh bed frame. To make it even better, it was on a final clearance sale. When a salesperson approached us, we asked about this bed frame. She went to make sure it wasn't already sold and if it could be delivered and how much the delivery cost would be. We weren't quite ready to make a purchase that day, so she said we could call and order on the phone if we decided we wanted it. Well, I couldn't stop thinking of it, so the next day, I did call and order the bed and set up the delivery on the phone. It truly was an easy process. I only gave Ashley's 4 stars because we walked around the store for a while before anyone approached us and asked if we needed any help. Salespeople literally walked past us without even acknowledging us. Jill, our salesperson, was the only person to approach us and she couldn't have been any nicer! I highly recommend asking for her if you go to this location. I think overall, Ashley's is a bit expensive, but there are definitely deals all around the store if you have the patience to look around. read more

We really had a great experience here! We recently purchased a couch from Bob's Discount Furniture and ended up having a horrible experience. We had to purchase a new couch when we moved, and due to our previous experience, we were a bit hesitant to check out Ashley. However, we were (happily) mistaken! The store is huge and laid out well. It could be a bit overwhelming, but the colors are muted and not at all over stimulating. The staff were friendly and not too pushy. We found a sofa we really loved and a nice sales lady named Denise helped us figure out what exactly we wanted and how we wanted to have it delivered. She was very nice and again, not too pushy, which is super important to us. When the couch was delivered to our new apartment, the delivery guys showed up right on time and assembled the couch quickly but thoroughly. Can't say enough good things about Ashley! I've had THE WORST customer service experience and spent thousands of dollars only to end up with a broken bed only 2 months after it was delivered. Customer service gave me the run around and is not in the least bit accommodating. They are trying to force me to continue business with them as a resolve for the issue. It's sad. I've been lied to and inconvenienced for atleast 9 months now. Still no resolve to the issue but to pick out another possibly faulty piece of furniture and to wait another 6 months for that as well. I ordered my couch in July and have yet to receive it. I was initially told that the factory had the couch and that delivery is a bit delayed and that it would take 4 weeks. This was a lie, that I suspect was to ensure my sale. It turns out they don't have the stock, and have just kept delaying and delaying the delivery. The worst part is that I called the day before my supposed delivery date to confirm and they didn't even have the courtesy of calling to reschedule with any reasonable amount of time ahead. I'll be waiting 4 months now. Edit: Going on 15 weeks of postponement for my order with no definite arrival. Great costumer service! That's really what it's all about, especially when you're buying expensive furniture. And we were really looking for something inexpensive when we first came in, so it was nice that the woman who helped us was still super nice and worked with us for a while to find the right couch for our basement. She showed us multiple choices based on what we told her we needed. We settled on a pretty basic couch that was within our price range and was HOPEFULLY going to fit in our house (the reason we were there buying a new couch... Because our old couch didn't fit when we moved). Fast forward a couple days later and two friendly dudes moved our new couch in. Such a simple process! I also didn't realize they're a small local company. I thought it was a big box store, but the woman working with us told us they were associated with John V Schultz in Erie. I grew up there and had no clue. Makes me want to support them even more, honestly. They have all different styles if furniture in a massive warehouse, so I'd assume you'd find something for your tastes. This includes any type of furniture you may be looking for from living room to bedroom to dining room. I also liked that they had a smaller outlet section attached to their main showroom. We've purchased many beautiful items from this location. Quality: I think the quality is excellent and the products are a good value. Sales: our associate, Megan Horn, was knowledgeable and helpful, both in selecting the pieces we needed, and finding all possible cost savings. Scheduling: this wasn't perfect, but not too bad, considering the worldwide supply problems right now. Delivery: all personnel were courteous and hard-working. They adjusted all furniture legs to ensure everything was level, and tested items such as a massage recliner to ensure full functionality. Note that we shopped many stores before Ashley, and were not very impressed. Ashley is our #1 choice in the Pittsburgh area. read more

Got my loveseat at the height of Covid where nothing was in stock and there was an 8 month wait. My loveseat came with a hole in the back of it. The repair man they sent told me they constructed the couch wrong and used fabric for a 3 seater for a 2 seater. He had to cut the fabric since everything was rushed. After about a year and a half, the couch starts ripping as people are sitting on it. When we further inspect it, there was nothing inside the couch for support. No beams, no springs, no plywood. Just a tarp-like fabric. When I called into Ashley furniture customer service, they said since it didn't break during the manufacturer 1 year warranty, there is nothing they can do. They rushed production, sent me a piece of crap couch and then won't do anything to help. Would rate zero stars if I could. Stay away from here! And was not explained at time of purchase. Beware of the fine print!!! This store only guarantees a THREE (3) DAY RETURN. by 3 days with normal wear, a customer may not know how well the furniture will hold up as far as quality of construction. This store refuses to honor the main Ashley return policy as stated on the website. At 21 days the sofa demonstrated signs of sagging and clearly will not hold up reasonably over time. BUYER BEWARE IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT YOU WILL HAVE A VERY NARROW WINDOW TO RETURN; AND ALL FEES WILL BE INCURRED BY YOU THE CUSTOMER WHICH IS CLOSE TO 200.00. In October 2020, from this location of Ashley Homestore, I purchased 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 4 nightstands, 1 dresser, and 1 mattress and foundation for approximately $5,500. I placed my orders through two different salespeople, and my favorite was named Jeannie. She was very nice and non-pressuring, standing at a distance until we were ready to call her over for assistance. She was also very knowledgeable about the products. She took time to show us a machine that recommended a level of firmness for our mattress. The business used software to call, email, and text-message me with approximate delivery dates and times. Most of the furniture was delivered white-glove to my house in early November, and the queen bed was delivered in early December. The wait times were reasonable considering that we are in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. The delivery people arrived on time, they behaved professionally and politely, and they quickly and skillfully assembled my furniture. The quality of the furniture is very good, except for a couple of rough spots or scuffs that you cannot really notice. The furniture seems to be sturdy, and I expect it to last many years. In addition, I like the style, which was named "Flynnter," and I feel sad that the style is being discontinued. I would have bought this style for the furniture in the other rooms of my house. read more

My husband and I had some time to waste before my nail appointment. we decided to stop in. The show room is large & attractive. The furniture seems to be great quality. The prices vary which caters to all budgets. There is also an 'outlet' area which includes clearance furniture of all sorts as well as a scratch and dent section. Clearance furniture was actually surprising. We found a few nice dresses and sofas. They even have beds in the outlet section, but they were very firm and not comfy IMO. They have a ton of beds in the back that were very comfy and offered many options. Also, there's a separate area in the back for kids furniture. Sales people were friendly. A few offered to help us but we were truly just browsing. They weren't pushy at all. The store is worth a visit. It truly does cater to all budgets. This Ashley Homestore is new and has just recently opened. The store design is gorgeous and very spacious! We came here on a Saturday afternoon in search of a dining set for our kitchen and also one for our balcony. It was a little busy but we were greeted right away and received good customer service. The salesman helping us was honestly a little awkward and followed us around a lot. We had to ask for some time alone to discuss options at one point. Another issue was that we repeatedly asked for dining chair options that were upholstered with backs, and he just kept trying to sell us items that did not match with our needs. He was very nice and knowledgable, but definitely could improve in some areas. Prices are a little unpredictable. Some items are super pricey, while some are great deals. The furniture here is pretty good quality though. After about an hour and a half in the store, we decided to leave. The store was too hot inside, the bathrooms were pretty dirty, and any items we were interested in were all out to stock. It got very frustrating that nothing was in stock and we ended up leaving without anything simply because we needed a break. Overall, this is a nice store with friendly staff. Just don't expect that you will walk out with furniture that day. They will likely need to ship it to you or the store which takes about a week. read more

I purchased a sofa around August 1, 2018. Show room was nice, bright and clean. There's a nice big clearance area. I purchased the couch from the clearance area. If you find the same piece of furniture online at a lower price, they will honor the lower price. That's good. A lot of stores will not honor their online prices. I was very happy with the sales staff, the couch, whole experience until....you guessed it...DELIVERY. My delivery window was 3-6 PM. I received call at 2:50 saying 'on the way." At 2:53, received call from live person saying that if I wasn't there in 10 minutes, they are leaving and that I would need to reschedule my delivery. I asked them to leave it on the porch, and they did that. I arrived at 3:23 and couch was on porch in good condition. I paid two guys from craigslist to bring it in the house... cost me $20. I paid Ashley $70, I think. CUSTOMER SERVICE. First let me say, I work in customer service at Home Depot. The service I provide is nothing like the service I got from Ashley customer service. I called simply to let her know how the delivery went. She sounded like she'd heard this 100 times because her response was abrupt, thorough, blamed me (the customer), and unkind. She obviously needs to be retrained. At my job, when a customer calls with a report such as this, first of all, I apologize and I thank them for calling me. My call to Ashley customer service didn't start out like that at all. She went on the defensive immediately. In the end, she said it was my fault because I wasn't there before the 3-6pm window. I said, "thank you" and hung up. Everything was perfect, until about five hours ago when the delivery experience began. The salesperson insisted that the colors always look different in the store (again, why would you light your store that way?) but it still looked beige. Prior to going to the store we called our Synchrony Home card to make sure we could use it there. We spent two hours looking at furniture made our selection did all of the paperwork go to run the card and without them even swiping the card they told us nope you can not use it. Even though I told them I already called and confirmed they did but the lady at the front desk refused to swipe it like a regular credit card. We left the store and I called Synchrony again and they confirmed that this store does this requently. Sale lost. Very disappointed that that they would not even try to swipe it like a regular card. We recently moved to the Pittsburg area and needed some new furniture. When I went to this store I was very impressed with how nice and clean it is. They also have an amazing selection of furniture available. The customer service was outstanding! Everyone that works there was nice. We loved that the outlet was attached to the main store and ended up picking a sectional from there. Our salesman Matt N was great. He wasn't pushy at all, listened to our wants and needs, and even laid out a floor plan for us on paper to help us visualize what everything would look like. He considered measurements to make sure the room was comfortably laid out. Matt explained all options to us thoroughly and was very upfront with delivery times and expectations due to covid. It was a stressful experience ordering from Ashley. I honestly took the reviews with a grain of salt thinking people were just being impatient and not fair given Covid-19 supply chain and labor issues. Well the reviews I'm seeing as of Nov 2021 are accurate--ordering is a prolonged process with many inevitable bumps along the road. And based on the other reviews it seems it could have been way worse. If there is an issue with your order they don't communicate it to you and take it upon themselves to determine a new ship day that they may or may not inform you of. Timeline: In early September 2021 I put in an order of many items to furnish my new studio apartment. I relied on Ashley for everything--bed, couch, table, tv stand, nightstand, and end table. The website stated I could schedule my delivery after checkout. I couldn't automatically. They assigned me a date that did not work for me and I had to call to fix it, but easy enough. I chose 100 percent of my pieces based on availability within a couple weeks rather than the ones with a 12+ week wait before shipping. I asked for an email confirmation about the rescheduling. That request didn't go over to well (they were huffy) but they agreed and did follow-up with an email. A week and a half before my order was in, they sent a new email without my input saying the order was rescheduled to January. Well, that would leave me with an apartment and no furniture for three months. I called and it turns out the night stand was not in stock so they pushed back the entire order. While it was a stressful couple hours they were nice enough about it. They pushed the rest of the order back one week as opposed to three months. A week on an air mattress--annoying but not the end of the world once the initial wait time was resolved. As an aside, don't bother using Ashely's online chat. Wait time can be over 2+ hours just for them to tell you that you need to call in. The chat is honestly just decorative. The portion of my order that was delivered went smoothly. The delivery guys were great, respectful of my space, and put the furniture together properly. The pieces I chose are of average quality and are all holding up well. There were some small pieces of packaging left behind on the floor, but far less than what similar services have done. They didn't mask if you care about that. But the couch was ruined in transit. So they call me up and tell me it will be another 5 weeks. At this point I was really upset. It's not like I'm furnishing a whole house. No couch means I have nowhere to sit. They sent me an email with a random date I had no say in and I took off work to accommodate this date. At least the nightstand was now available and would be shipped at the same time in 5 weeks. Recognizing the stressful time Oct 2021 is for a furniture place I just let it be. Fast-forward the 5 weeks. They got to the front of my APT and called me up. I stood in the cold for 10+ min. I had no idea what the hold up was, so went back indoors. They called me up with the furniture people literally outside to say my couch hadn't shipped at all and was actually being discontinued. The would have to inquire with the company to see if they could get one. No thanks, I need something to sit on. I inquired about the nightstand. They said it was scheduled to ship in early December. Nobody informed me, which seems par for the course. Keep in mind they hold the charge on your card this entire time, so it can be months that your limit is lower for thousands of dollars. I requested a refund and they said yes. If they do not follow through with that, I will change this review down to one star. I ordered an Amazon couch that only takes 2 days so I have something to sit on and can enjoy my living space/have people over/get on with my life. I think if you need a couple new pieces Ashley can make sense, but absolutely do not rely on them for any essentials. Any time you try to tell them it's inconvenient they will just say "well it's an online order" which they clearly treat as secondary. read more
