This store is absolutely awful. I bought a mattress, bed frame and two nightstand and first delivery I only got a mattress and the box spring could not fit up my stairs so I had to get a split. Then thankfully I called because I some how owed another $100 Dollars i was unaware of and if i wouldn't of paid it my delivery would have been cancelled. Now today I get my bed frame and nightstands but NO BOX SPRING. Someone forgot to put it on the truck. I'm told I can't have it till Tuesday and I am to sleep on my mattress on my floor. I call the store and to ask for a manager and I get bounced around and sent to service. Service can't do anything because they can't send another truck out and they don't deliver on Sunday and Monday. I spent over 4,000 on a bed and night stands and this is the customer service i get. Never buy warranty. They will not honor it, and will treat you terribly. Management when asked to intervene also discriminate against disabilities, and violate state laws. Nearly had to get a lawyer involved over a simple defect on a $5000 peice of furniture! read more

I was originally pleased at first with my sectional purchased in December of 2022 and had bought the premium warranty on my sectional. I had filed a claim as the top couch cushion now has a hole in it. You think this would be covered under warranty but it was denied. I can't even replace the cushion as it is attached to the sectional. Do not waste your time buying extra coverage because it clearly won't be repaired. I will not purchase furniture from here or any other John Schultz's furniture company again. read more

The customer service here is absolute garbage, I had a really bad experience when I was purchasing my couch and loveseat because the sales associate would not call me back to confirm the purchase. After about a week of that I finally got everything ordered and now the Ottoman is misshaped after only 2 months. I called about a month ago about the ottoman and never got a return phone call and then I sent an email to their Corporate office to which they replied that I needed to call the store where I bought it. I called them back and, of course, there was no answer so I left yet another message. I guess we'll see if they actually tried to fix the issue with the Ottoman or give me some runaround as I expect they will read more

Would not recommend. The store is good but their delivery and customer service teams are god awful. I was told by the delivery team the store doesn't care about anything but money, but the delivery team was the one who screwed up. Maybe buy there but just pick it up yourself. This is an update to my Ashley Homestore review of the Boardman location. Josh and Scott delivered my sofa on time, set it up in place and were a total pleasure to speak with, very nice people. Worst furniture company in this area hands down, their sales people are pushy, store is crowded, and delivery men are thieves. Delivery people stole jewelry from our house when they delivered our furniture, should tell you all you need to know about the kind of people they hire. If I could give them zero stars I would. I walked in around noon on a Monday afternoon. There were a few other customers in the store, but there were many associates. Majority of the associates were behind the desk that is located in the center of the store sitting down, and there were a few others walking around with clipboards in their hands. When I walked in, I was not greeted, however 3 associates were within feet from me as I was walking throughout the store. I looked for about 15 minutes, and took pictures of items that I liked. When I got through the whole store, I finally had a few questions to ask. I looked around and out of all the associates, there were 2 of them helping other customers. I stood near a man that was helping a couple with questions that they had, and knew they were coming to an end of their conversation. When they were done, they walked toward the exit, and the man left and walked toward the middle desk where the other associates were and started talking to them. I knew he had seen me standing there because I was right in front of him. Instead of asking me if I needed help as well, he just walked away. There was woman associate that came from around the desk and started walking towards the mattresses. She looked at me and smiled but kept walking. I said "excuse me, but are you available to ask a question", she slowed down her pace, but kept walking in the direction she was going. She then stopped and said "what's up". This is not how you respond to a customer who asks you for help. They seem like they are there just to be there, and that they really do not want to help. They have a beautiful showroom, and prices are better than other places that I have looked in the area, as well as online. However, they need a training on customer service. read more

I would not recommend this store at all if any level of customer service is important to you. They advertise things that they don't have and have no idea of when they will be available. Then you appear to be a burden when you call about your already paid for merchandise. They will not even call you back when promised. Unless you walk out that day with furniture do not buy here because once your money is collected you will not matter again. read more

Worst furniture store around nobody knows what they're doing had ordered a couch six weeks ago they just called to say that it's now not available so I've wasted six weeks had to get them to email me a receipt of my refund they were not going to do that either. I visited this store three times before deciding on a bedroom set. They have a nice selection of furniture and different pieces that add a special touch to complete a room. I purchased an entire bedroom outfit and set of lamps. Michael, the store associate, was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was honest and friendly and did not pressure me into buying anything! He gave me all the information about the different products I was considering and kept telling me not to rush into purchasing something unless I was 100% in love with it. He even gave me different ideas about designing my rooms, which coming from his interior design background was fantastic advice! It was so refreshing to have a sales associate actually care about the purchase I was making and not just about making a sale. The store may be a higher cost than discount stores, but the quality of products is worth the extra expense. Additionally, these people known their products, and if you get Michael to assist you, he can guide you in creating your perfect space. read more

We order furniture there, 2 sofas, ottoman, and a dinning room table, one of which we saw online, and the other one we saw in the store and absolutely loved. The one that we loved and saw in the store came with complications. First, the sides of the fabric was lose and they were all lumpy with the padding, the staples and nail were stuck out and the ottoman came broke so we of course sent the ottoman back. With the dining table, it had broken chairs, rough pieces of wood, and was scratched up so we sent one chair back and was having guy come and fix the rest of it. Nothing was wrong with the online furniture, in fact, we love it, so good job on at least that. Anyways, we had the guy come a fix it and he said that it's better if we just have everything sent back and get whole new furniture delivered. Well then the furniture that was broken before and that got sent back just arrived and the ottoman was cracked and the chairs had rips in them. At this point I have spent money on furniture and this is ridiculous. But the online furniture was amazing so I guess thank you for that. read more

Buying from the Boardman Ohio store was a terrible experience. I stopped there and 5 other furniture stores, in the same day, looking for a bedroom suite. Ashley was my 2nd stop of the day. When I walked in a guy greeted me and asked what I was looking for, he said there was something I might be interested in, in the back corner of the store. I said thank you, I'm going to look around. He followed me throughout the store, without saying a word. I made my way around the store, then went to check out a few other furniture stores. I go back to Ashley about 4 hours later, because I liked a bedroom suite that I saw. I wasn't greeted by a salesman this time, and there were 2 standing by the door talking when I came in. So I walk back to the suite I was interested in, and couldn't find anyone to talk to about it, so I went to the service desk. They seemed surprised that nobody greeted me and they found me a salesman. This guy was very helpful, I can't remember his name. He said my order would be in 2 weeks from the day I ordered it, at the most a day later. I paid for my order in full before I left. My order was supposed to be in on a Saturday at the latest that Sunday, so I cleared my bedroom out on Friday. The order didn't arrive until the following Thursday, so I was sleeping on the couch for almost a week. It was now 3 weeks since I paid for my order, and I went to pick it up. Then they said they couldn't find my box spring, so they were going to give me a better one at no cost. I thought that was great. They had one guy trying to load everything by himself, the guy was busting his butt, because there were 4 other customers waiting to pick up furniture. He was great to deal with, very nice and apologetic. So I went home with everything, and set it up. I got to the foot board, and it was damaged, with no damage to the box. I called and they said they would exchange it, and they had one in stock, I could pick it up anytime. Then I get the bed set up, and they gave me the wrong size box spring, so I call again. The guy I spoke to was the same guy I spoke to about the foot board being damaged, he said someone from the store would call me. Obviously when you try to call the Boardman store, it goes somewhere else. Anyways, a lady ended up calling me 2 hours later to tell me they have my box spring but the foot board would't be in until Tuesday. She blamed the box spring incident on a new employee. So now I'm stuck on the couch for another 4 days. It seems like they"ll tell you what you want to hear, to get a sale. I'll never shop there again. Ashley is a very well established company, they should have they're business together, they don't. I was at the store for an hour and a half waiting to get my order, due to lack of employees. They had 1 person at customer service on a Saturday, the week before Christmas, and 1 guy in the back trying to do everything he could to get people loaded. Get that guy some help in the back, he deserves it. He was great! Just another bad company that takes your money, then doesn't really care. I'll take my business elsewhere, for my living room suite. read more

Absolutely terrible service! First I was told they could get me free shipping, and then when I went back the next day and made my purchase they told me they wouldn't be able to give it to me, I wasn't too upset and still went through with it. I told them my move in day was the 1st and if i couldn't get my furniture by like the 5th I didn't want to do it because I didn't want to go weeks without furniture, the woman told me not to worry and it might even be early. I was also told the delivery would work around my schedule so getting my furniture scheduled around my work schedule wouldn't be a problem. Now I've been in my apartment a week and still won't have my furniture for another week because they have nothing open for delivery and can't work out a time around my work schedule either!! I am furious and when I tried to talk to the lady at the store I was offered nothing. She made me feel like I was being crazy when I was completely calm and had every reason to be upset! I will never return to this store for anything! Terrible customer service and full of employees who don't care about customer needs, it's all about the sale! Absolutely awful. Worst furniture buying experience ever. Horrible customer service as someone else stated. It started out as a great experience the day we went to the store. We were able to browse the couch & love seat sets with no pressure from the sales associates. We quickly made our decision & paid for our furniture & were told it would be in for pickup within 10-14 days. We even received a nice handwritten card in the mail from our salesman a few days later. We received a call in about 10 days that 1 of our items was in & to make arrangements for pickup. When I called back I was told that was a mistake & nothing was in & would be another week. I called after another week of hearing nothing & was told someone made a mistake & purchase order was never put in for my furniture & it would be another 1-2 weeks. I call every week for an update & am told every time it will be another 1-2 weeks. It is now coming up on 2 months that I paid for the furniture & still have no furniture. I do not recommend this store at all. I am going to ask for my money back & buy somewhere else. read more
