Bar 86 is a nice watering hole in an alcohol free desert known as central Utah. Primarily looking…read morefor a place to eat we stopped by on our trip from the Red Rock country of Southern I Utah to Salt Lake City. The bar is a bit off the I-70 freeway, but not too far. It is spacious inside with large tables and a friendly, welcoming staff. I had a margarita with my lunch; only one though because I was driving. It wasn't strong but was tasty enough. The beers are mostly domestic with only one micro brew selection but there were plenty of national brand choices. The food was home made and not bad for bar food. I had a Pittsburgh cheese steak sandwich that I thought was good. I ordered it with a side salad instead of fries as I had also ordered the loaded Pastrami fries which came with cheese, pickles and mustard on top. It was a bit too rich and heavy for my taste and the flavors didn't really work well together. Maybe without the mustard I would have liked it more. Not a bad place for a rest stop or a reasonable local hang out as well with some decent food.

The cheesesteak was alright. It was nothing to complain about or write home about. The jojo fries were kinda undercooked but good and seemed homemade almost. Attentive service, not overbearing. A lot of locals since Richfield isn't exactly a destination but you'll get the same treatment and be just as welcome.

I would love to give it five stars but when you walk in the front door, the cement is quite disgusting. They really need to get somebody over there with a pressure washer and clean. It looks like a lot of people drop their ice cream. We ordered a double burger , sweet potato fries, zucchini strips, and a mini lemon curd shake, and a blueberry shake. The shakes were fantastic., the burger was amazing, the sweet potato fries were good, and my husband thought that the zucchini sticks were awesome. We will definitely be coming back and next time we're gonna try the homemade onion rings, grilled cheese and the fish..

I asked why it was so much higher and she said they don't have the burger I ordered on her register so she had to charge be for an Iceburger then add the charge for bacon. By doing this the price was higher than the price of the Bacon Iceburger. They didn't bother to tell me the price difference when I ordered they just hoped I wouldn't pay attention. Don't advertise a price on your menu if it's not that price. The upside to all of this is the burgers weren't bad.
