I asked for a manager and they had me on hold for 20+ minutes!!! I called back and nothing! same answer!...... they don't make it easy to get a hold of somebody! 1 star because we did get good help at the store otherwise 0 star. no wonder they have 2 star rating! how sad of customer service after you leave the store...... they really push on YOU HAVE TO COME IN TO CANCEL..... I got a hold of our sales person and he said no problem at first....after a few minutes he said "my manager is not letting me, can you come by the store?....... I understand they want to retain the sale but after this experience I AM NOT GOIN BACK! Do not buy from this Ashley location or honestly, Ashley Furniture in general. This is NOT the same company it was 10-15 years ago. I ordered a mattress & a bedroom set in person on July 10th and was told it wouldn't be delivered until August. Even then, only the bed and chest were delivered. I'm still missing the nightstand and dresser, which apparently won't arrive until close to September. When my items were finally delivered on August 13th, the chest had visible abnormalities on the bottom drawer. I immediately contacted my sales associate, who simply told me to call customer service. Customer service scheduled someone to come out on August 20th. Then, on 8/18, I received an email saying they don't have the parts or tools needed to fix it and that they'll contact me whenever they have what they need. Why would I want a refurbished or repaired piece when I paid for a brand-new bedroom set? They could simply send me a new chest and take back the defective one. The delays are one thing, but delivering defective or subpar furniture is completely unacceptable. I've had so many other issues throughout this process that I've spent HOURS on the phone dealing with Ashley's customer service. The entire customer experience has been a nightmare. And to make matters worse, after you have the bed for 3 days, you can no longer return it. I will never purchase from Ashley again, I spent over 8k at this store thinking it was a quality purchase. I was more than wrong. I've definitely learned my lesson. Very disappointed with my experience with Ashley Furniture. I purchased my sofas directly from the store, and when they were delivered, one of the pieces was missing. I was told that the missing piece was available and would be delivered the same day, but that never happened. After waiting, I was eventually told that a replacement part had been ordered and could take another 7-10 days to arrive. Nine days later, I still had not received the missing piece or even a tracking number. What is most frustrating is that when I called customer service for help, I was told to go back to the store. I paid for complete furniture and expected it to be delivered complete and ready to use. I purchased 5 items from this store. The first four were delivered with no problem. However, the bed I purchased was on back order. It did not arrive at the given time. When it did arrive the delivery personnel did not put ot together correctly. After sending several emails to the store to request they send someone back out to fix the bed, I realized that I had been corresponding with an AI generated system that kept telling me someone would reach out to me soon.. Don't match their own prices! We were interested in a piece and asked them to show us what the price would be with all the fees. My husband and I decided we wanted to discuss it over lunch and they started panicking trying to say the "discount they could get us was one day only." They were supposed to send us an email of the item we liked but it was never received so we had to find the item we were interested in on their website. Turns out it was on sale and was cheaper to buy online. They were not honest about it. Shipping is also cheaper on their website! So I don't know how they were trying to get an extra random couple hundred for us. But very dishonest and bad sale tactic. Maybe tell your customers about the sales your company is running and not try to steal more money. I do not recommend buying anything in store! read more

We found an accent cabinet we really liked and wanted to purchase. Our salesman, Chad Lambe, told us it was out of stock and would take about two weeks to arrive -- which was fine. He even gave us a small holiday discount. However, Chad scheduled our pickup for a day the warehouse was closed, forcing us to reschedule. The second time we went, I realized my car was too small (my fault). But I saw my order sitting there. I then had to reschedule again and even rented a U-Haul just to make sure I could finally pick it up. When I arrived, they told me they gave my order away to someone else! Then they said I'd have to wait another two weeks. Can you believe that?! I spoke with the manager, Zena, who was at least kind enough to offer free delivery for the following week. But just a few days later, Chad called again saying the item was damaged and I'd have to wait another two weeks. At that point, I was done. I canceled my entire order. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. Although I rarely write negative reviews, my experience with a couch purchased from Ashley in 2020 has been disappointing. The couch, which was supposed to be made of solid leather, was expensive, and I also purchased an 5 year extended warranty. Regrettably, the leather has deteriorated in certain areas, and when I contacted their warranty service The first question they asked me is how long has it been noticed I said some of the wear I've noticed for about, I don't know maybe three months . They then informed me that repairs must be reported within 30 days. Consequently, my claim was denied. I am unhappy with their customer service and would not recommend Ashley or their warranty service to others. Upon delivery, they took the whole back of my couch, and I was having complications with my pregnancy, so I couldn't really have anyone in my house. First and foremost $6k+ for cheaply made patio furniture is absurd. They try and make you think it's a great deal by cutting that price in half, but even then it's a joke. Second, I walked into the showroom and was greeted by a young lady with curly hair, but the moment I said "thank you were just looking", she automatically decided she'd give me sarcastic response of "oh I was just greeting you and I'm not trying to sell you anything". I'm giving our experience at the Arlington Ashley store two stars because at the time of our transaction it was somewhat of a good experience but then it all went south from there! We live in Kansas and we were working in Texas when we decided to see if the local Ashley Furniture might have the loveseat we needed to match our couch. We called the store and a young salesman named Cadeyn answered. We were looking at the Ashley website to make sure we gave the right item number for them to check on availability. The website had it listed for $479.00 but Cadeyn tells me 'yes they have it and he could have it ready today for $749' & I said oh wow that's interesting cause it's listed on the Ashley website for $479 so what's up with that? He replied with a 'oh OK let me go look at that' and comes back with a confirmation that it was that price and they would sell it to us at that price. Great! I said and we headed over there. We confirmed twice that it was the Navi loveseat in the color smoke that they had and it was confirmed and they showed us on the computer screen. We paid and drove over to distribution center for pick up. We felt super lucky to have found it but in hindsight we should have known better when dealing with Ashley! We waited a bit and then it was our turn and we got loaded up. The loading guy said 'loveseat item number xxxxx' and we said yep that's it and in the truck it went. We had a long drive ahead and we headed home. When we got home late that night we unloaded it and once we got it inside we noticed it was the WRONG COLOR!!! I was so upset! We tried to make sure/confirm it was the right color 4 times! We should have known better and just opened it up right there and looked at it! I called the store the next day and was told they weren't going to do anything about it and I would have to deal with Ashley's resolution department. 'That's just how they do it' I was told. And this folks is where the absolute ridiculousness began! We have been jerked around for now 2 1/2 months. They say they will call you and they don't. You call and go through the same story over & over with some poor representative who has no idea what's going on cause she/he is the 5th person you've talked to. We keep getting emails telling us to pick up our order in Fort Worth and we keep saying we live 7 hours away and we can't do that! We have called the Arlington store. No one calls us back. Marcus was the manager that day and I've called asking for him and he's conveniently not there. Left my number and no call back still to this day! I called right before I started writing this, no Marcus and manager on duty not available, and then I called again 10 minutes later as I was asked to do, and still no manager available. 'Can you call back in a little bit?' the guy says and after hearing my frustration he offers to take my number & have them call me. I highly doubt anyone is going to call me! We are more than likely gonna have to sell this loveseat now at a loss to us! Ashley has a truck deliver furniture to a store right here in our town but somehow we can't get a replacement delivered to us. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! I was delivered a new bed and a supposed new base but the base didn't work and I reported it to the salesperson korey, he said that since I signed the acceptance form I needed to contact the company tempur, I didn't purchase it from them and Ashley's should have just came back with another new one that was purchased. This went back and forth for nearly 3 weeks until I asked for a refund and all of the sudden,,they said they were sending a new one, the first crew didn't check my base but when they brought me a new one this crew tested it and asked me if I had any questions about it. This has been the worst delivery service I have ever experienced with a furniture company. Not only did they show up several hours late the firs time at night time, they showed up with a bed that didn't have the right screws to put together. I've waited around twice in 4 hour increments for them and now I need to wait around again for someone to come with the correct assembly equipment. When asked customer service if my only options were to wait around again or have them pick up the bed that is in pieces, she told me that I signed for the bed (as was instructed by the delivery person) and there are no refunds. I was searching online for a memory foam mattress in a box. I found a special at this Ashley location so I called to see if they had it in stock. I was placed with Lori Edwards. She was very professional and pleasant. She quoted me a price a little higher then listed online. Laurie informed me that they price match so I could come in and she would be happy to help me. When I got there, there was a salesman at the front who greeted me and introduced himself! I informed him that I was there for Laurie. He called her up and she came to greet me. Laurie was prepared!! She had already printed out the price online so that she could match it for me. She took me to the floor model and allowed me to feel it and lay on it to see how I liked it. They have a kiosk for financing applications that was quick and easy. 6 month no interest and zero money down. I was financed and out the door with the address to the warehouse to pick up the maters in under 45 minutes!! Excellent customer service, was rendered. The store was clean, organized and well laid out. Laurie even gave me her card with her cell so that I could contact her with any questions or concerns. I will never buy from Ashley Homestore again. First issue was that the table I bought in the store was cheaper online so after buying it in the store and getting home found it cheaper online I was not happy. I had to go back in the store and it was easy to get a refund for the difference but something I shouldn't have had to do. But the main issue was pick up. I scheduled to pick up on Saturday, they said they would issue a 2 hour window but instead I got a text from their bot "Jenny" saying text 30min before heading over. So I did that and then got a text back that said to text when I arrived. Did that got a test that said "Great, someone will be with you shortly - please get ready to say hello". There was about 12 other people when I got there at 2:19. 30min later 1 person has left, over an hour a second person has gotten their stuff and left. At this point I get out and find out the person next to me has been there over 2 hours. So I wait more the guy next to me gets his turn but still nothing for me. I get out at 2 hours and talk to some other people. I ask will they text me when its my time to get in line at the dock. She said no but I needed to go inside to make sure I was on the list. So I go inside after 2 hours and find out the text message does nothing - I wasnt on the list and my item wasnt in the que to be picked. I complained to the employee and she said there was nothing she can do that the text doesnt do anything and they dont know why its sent. I get checked in and wait almost 2 more hours to get my small table. The employee at the doc said they were behind all day. He said that if they are not busy they go outside and make sure people have checked in but if they are busy they cant do that. I suggested if they cant stop the text at least put up a sign. Have had an absolutely horrible experience with Ashley furniture at the Cityview Location in Fort Worth, TX. The customer service is horrible, and the willingness to solve problems is completely absent. We ordered a full bedroom suite 3 weeks ago, and received all pieces but still have no bed. The bed has been rescheduled now 3 times, and anytime we call to speak with anyone to get answers, we are left frustrated and helpless. We still don't know when the bed will actually make it to the warehouse, is what we are being told. The sales person in store has no answers, and said "i don't know" to almost every question we had. We had requested a supervisor call us 5 times now, and have yet to have anyone reach out. Decent experience with this store and our sales associate but AWFUL experience with the Ashley Furniture as a company overall. We ordered a table and chairs (delivered with damage and had to be replaced), 2 barstools (sent the wrong barstools that were $30 cheaper and one of the feet on the legs broke off within 2 weeks) and a rocking chair (that makes a horrible noise when rocking). Took over 2 months to be delivered (understandable with COVID). We have spent tons of time with customer service with very long on hold times and have been trying for a week to get a hold of the store with multiple messages left and still no response. During the purchase of our furniture, over $8000 worth, we were asked several times if we would like to purchase the 5 year protection plan. Each time he asked we said yes. We purchased the furniture and went home. The furniture was delivered in a timely manner and everything was great. We were looking over the invoice and noticed the protection plan wasn't on there. So the very next day we called up to the store and Matt told my wife he will have Chris our salesman call us back. Needless to say, no call. I called the day after and asked for Chris and he finally called back. I told him that he left the protection plan off and he said he wasn't sure if we could still purchase it. He said he needed to talk to his manager or a senior sales person. Once again, a day went by and no reply. We don't live far from the store se we drove up there. Up until this point no one had been rude or condescending. That was about to change. We go over to customer service and ask, "the protection plan was left off our purchase, can we still get it?" We told them that we had called several times. The rude lady then said, "I will tell you what they probably told you on the phone, NO you can not." So we told the rude lady (white with glasses and looked pregnant) that no one has bothered calling us back with an answer and that is why we were there. I told her that it was their mistake that it was left off. She said our policy is that once the furniture enters the house we can't add it. She said the company that provides it won't allow them too. So after some back and forth, she agreed to add it and then had the audacity to say, don't tell anyone we added it. I walked away from the desk because I was angry. She then told my wife it was rude of me to walk away. Well rude lady, you have no business working with customers. I will guarantee that I am not the first nor will we be the last she has this attitude with. Well rude lady, I am telling everyone you added it. My wife and I are in the customer service industry and could never imagine treating customers with such disdain. She needs to be in the warehouse, not out on the floor working with customers. I ordered furniture in July 2020 and was told that it would be delivered around August 3rd. Well that came and went, then I was given a delivery date (August 7) for which I confirmed the date. I still have a screenshot of the confirmation. Then at the last minute, I get a phone call that the furniture is NOT at the warehouse so now the delivery has been pushed out to Sept 27th! NOT ACCEPTABLE when I paid cash (over $3400 for furniture). I went into the store and demanded a credit. The manager on duty obliged (I thought). I have a cancellation receipt that my account was to be credited. To date, my account has not been credited. I tried calling the store and no one answers; of course. I get it! Some things are just based on your own personal experience.... That was the case here with my experience with Ashley's.... We were Blessed to work with Ron and our whole experience from beginning to end was Awesome! We had just bought our New home and wanted a Northshore new bedroom set. I wanted to go all out with the Northshore King size set... It was the one I had been wanting & dreaming for years. Now I had looked on-line were it was much cheaper for this set. But they never seemed to have the complete set in stock. Ashley's was the one that carried it. So I started checking into their prices. I was very shocked when I noticed each location had their own prices and discount sales prices. Well after much research and with Ron's help was able to get my bedroom set $1000 cheaper. So that left me happy. Plus the young men that came out to delivery it were very professional and made sure they handle my set with care. So that left me very satisfied! read more
