Buyer Beware! If I could give a lower rating than 1 I would. Our story started a month ago with the wrong table being delivered. I have dealt with Katie, who is the guest relations manager. That is a big joke. she literally says nothing when you ask her a question. I asked for the corportate number and I was told they didn't know the number. So I called Ashley Furniture and they were able to direct me to the owners of the store. After being on hold for 45 minutes twice I was told that there wasnt any managers that could help me. It is now a month past, we have been promised THREE different delivery days and at the last minute they are changed. I have asked repeatedly for the store manager to return my phone calls and as of today still no phone call. So they have my money and I have no table and its pretty obvious they just dont care. read more

Went to the store. Picked out a bed for my 6 year old. Spent a long time at the desk while Rebecca did the paperwork. Paid. Set delivery date. They delivered the wrong bed!!! Turns out my invoice lists a different bed from the one I picked out. But how do I know from invoice numbers what is on there. I'm pissed and my 6 year old had been so excited and is now so upset. Are you kidding me?!!! Thought I'd update... Finally delivered right bed but missing a decorative piece. Called store and the only employee that has ever been helpful moved out of state. Talked to some one else who said I would be mailed the right piece and then could set up an appt for some one to come install it. Have not received piece yet and have just noticed that wood laminate is peeling. Plan on calling them tomorrow. read more

We were here for almost 2 hours picking out a few pieces for my new apartment, the staff was extremely helpful despite my picky requests; no microfiber, must be light grey and have a chase. We had a good purchase experience, but a horrible warranty service experience. The store GM, Reeva (SP) didn't do much to assist. She basically told us to call the home office in Memphis and speak with someone there. Lots of people sell good furniture, but very few have service to make it matter. Unfortunately Ashley furniture missed the mark. I would recommend everyone strongly consider other stores with better service before shopping at Ashley. They don't have a commitment to service or solving problem. If you shop there DON'T buy the service plan from GBS Enterprises...It's a TOTAL Rip off IF you can get them to call you back. read more

They also are required to call in customer care when they are done to confirm the delivery, and we as the customer are asked to confirm that we are satisfied and the delivery went as expected. We went to the West County (Ballwin) Store to look around at dining tables. We had a few that we were really interested in but kept going back and forth. We of course couldn't make up our minds so we talked it out for pretty much over a 3 hour span (Crazy, I know) and Brad was extremely patient with us and helped us with all our questions. We Finally decided on a gorgeous table (that wasn't even one we were originally looking at) and Brad helped us out with a phenomenal deal on it. We also bought an additional side piece to match in with our living room set from upstairs in the clearance section. Don't be turned off by that section you can find some true gems up there. We highly recommend this location. The staff is wonderful and their furniture has been amazing quality. We not only have our dining set from here now but also our sectional, entertainment stand, coffee table set, bedroom set, and an additional side piece. We've loved everything! This store might be good for many of the customers but for me it has been an disaster which is not over yet. Events chronologically: 1. Went to the store Aug 3rd sales man Derek greeted us and we asked specifically a bed for our 3yr old which is not too high (we clearly mentioned no box spring) 2. Derek recommended a specific bed since Ashley can put slates instead of box spring 3. Done deal - we paid for furniture/delivery n assembly 4. Delivered on Aug 13th and no slates - delivery doesn't own up 5. Call the store and they say but check your order you did not order the store (my response - I expected Derek to put in order - I am no furniture expert) 6. After few phone calls and store visit (store decided to deliver the slates at no cost) 7. 3 slates delivery none fit 8. Finally I go to store and request to cancel the order and followed by 3 phone calls and it is still in process with no clear response.. read more

I purchased a beautiful sofa and recliner from Ashley I had a cigarette burn on one of my arms and they power came a loose from the frame and I had a tear on the footrest that raises up and down because of the power frame coming loose from the couch when I called Ashley's to get a hold of the warranty people that I paid $300 for they would replace the. Recliner but they won't replace the sofa they don't have the material to fix the the sofa they want to give me the mechanics to do it then they want to charge me $139 to have someone come put the mechanics in it the mechanics is not broken the vaults of came loose from the frame I used talk text because I'm partially sighted so some of my words do not come out right I've raised 7 kinds of hell trying to get something done and I've had no luck don't buy the warranty from Ashley's for the furniture they refuse to live up to the agreement I have had no luck whatsoever let the buyer beware do not buy from that furniture warranty they don't live up to the agreement. We found the in store experience quite pleasant. We had found a sleeper sofa we liked a lot online and they had it in the store. They gave us the online price even though theirs was priced higher. After reading my first review, I feel that it deserves an update. One of the items we purchased in January was delivered 3 different times because it was damaged the first 2 times it was delivered. I even took a day off of work for the second delivery (what a waste). We purchased a few additional pieces after the fact and I will say that Ashley is overpriced compared to other retailers. According to the manager it's because their furniture has a 1 year warranty. Personally, I don't feel that a 1 year warranty justifies the exorbitant cost. But that's nothing compared to their credit card website. I understand that Ashley outsources this service, but they should seriously consider another vendor. It's a complete joke. Good luck trying to figure out how to setup automatic payments. Will we go back to Ashley??? I'm not sure it's worth the hassle. read more

I bought several accessories on Thursday wanted to return 2 items the next day so I called to find out what time they open and I was told they do not except any returns for accessories once they go out the door. I have bought from Ashley Furniture previously and had a pleasant experience. The sales staff are very friendly, courteous and not pushy. However, I am drastically disappointed in the customer service I have received from Ashley Furniture as of late and would like to bring it to someone's attention. I was delivered a defective sofa table and was convinced by the delivery man that I could return it within 72 hours and that I should give it some time to think it over. I asked him to take it back with him and he wouldn't accept it, instead argued the return time to get me to keep it. I contacted that store the following Sunday (furniture was delivered on Friday) and was told by a friendly associate named Michael that I could contact customer service and they would handle everything. I asked Michael about the 72 hour rule and was told that I had 48 hours to return, instead of 72, but I would be able to return the table through customer service. Customer service is not available on Sunday, but Michael assured me that since I had contacted the store that I purchased the item at within 48 hours that I would be able to. I contacted customer service on The following day, Monday, as soon as they opened and was told in a very abrupt manner that I would need to call the store and that she "couldn't do anything". I asked her to conference the store in so I may verify that information with Michael and she refused while rushing me off the phone. I contacted Michael back and he apologized while entering an "er ticket" to have the customer service department schedule a pick up for my table. He assured me I would receive a phone call within 24 hours and at that time they would schedule a pick up of the defective merchandise that would fit within my work schedule (he told me they schedule up to 8 o'clock at night). Now pleased, I awaited the customer service phone call. Customer service took much longer than 24 hours and did not call me back until Thursday. Unfortunately, I was unable to take the call and they did not leave a message. I attempted to call them back that day but they were already closed when I was able. I called back first thing the following morning and was told there was no record of the previous day's call and she could not find the ticket that Michael had placed. I asked if she would conference the store in to discuss and she informed me that she could not call the store. I said that I could conference the store in. I asked her to hold while I did just that and she hung up on me. This interaction was after I had waited on hold for 35 minutes. I promptly called the store and was assisted by a pleasant Kiera who was able to find my ticket but also sent an email to the manager of that department and provided me with her contact information. I called the manager and she was not able to find my ticket, the one Kiera had found earlier, even after 20 minutes of holding. She placed me on hold to contact the store and was unable to reach them. She assured me she would call me back within an hour, which she honored, to tell me that she would replace the piece of furniture after discussing my case with her manager. I told her that replacing was not sufficient as I wanted to return the item. This return was a return that I was previously told by several associates I was capable of doing. The manager said that she would go back to her manager and get back to me with a response and that I was given "old information". This call ended on Friday afternoon around 5pm and I have not heard since. I would like the table to be returned as it is defective and no longer needed. I do not think that this is an outrageous ask, especially since I was given the impression that I would be able to easily do that. read more

This store is nothing like it was when I bought my bed from here in 2013. I had a great experience then which is why I went back. Well this time me and my mother had the worse experience ever at this store times 10, wish I didn't have to give any stars and we were only there to purchase a mattress!! It started off as a good visit, the salesman was nice and he explained the different mattresses to the best of his knowledge. My Mom decided to purchase a mattress and adjustable base from them but we were kinda disappointed with the delivery date which was 2 wks away from the date of purchase but we dealt with it. Then the day of delivery came...well when we tried to lay on the bed it almost rolled out from under us with casters locked and the mattress was a lot harder than it was in the store. We were told we had to break it in and it'll adjust to to her body give it a few wks and we did. Still my Mom had terrible nights sleep so we called again only to be told by the C/S Manager it was unsanitary to return the mattress. We called back the next day to speak to sales mgr who had a tech to come out and check the mattress 2 wks later and he stated it was defective. She was then asked to pick another mattress which took another 3 wks to be delivered only to have the wrong mattress delivered and we had to order replacement casters from the manufacturer b/c the store said they couldn't replace the base only manufacturer could. So we decided we just wanted to return it all and that was a huge hassle. It took 3 mths for them to refund her money and pick up the return. Please save yourself the headache and purchase from somewhere else like we ended up doing with no issues. read more

My fiancé and I have bought furniture for our new apartment from this store. Scott helped us pick the furniture and it was an amazing sales representative to talk to. He was courteous, professional, and pretty much the opposite of the other sales representatives that we have dealt with at other furniture stores. We got a living room, dining room, and bedroom sets, and we got a great deal out of them. I would say that the mattress are not as good as other mattress stores, but we were very picky about the mattress that we wanted. Customer service representatives were also excellent. After all that we have bought, if we had more money, we would have spent it here! But we will definitely be back. See you soon Scott read more

The team at the store was great but This review is based on the delivery. I was confirmed for delivery between 3pm & 6pm. I didn't get a call till 9:35 letting me know they are on thier way. I had no one there since after 6 hours of having someone wait for my delivery that never came to leave. I told them the situation and that I am on my way home which was an inconvenience to me! When I got home they were leaving as I was pulling on to my street. When I called them as they were leaving they said they couldn't wait any longer even though I got home with in the time. My dear friend bought an entire living room set here. It all was wonderful to start. Nice store, nice furniture....good experience with delivery......but when she realized she had bought one too many tables that wouldn't fit in her room she tried to return it. NO- THEY DON'T TAKE RETURNS OR GIVE STORE CREDIT they said. This is totally unprofessional and unacceptable. ASHLEY FURNITURE NEEDS TO CHANGE THEIR STORE POLICIES. THIS IS SIMPLE NOT RIGHT. I am very disappointed in this company, and won't be shopping there in the future. There are plenty of other furniture stores around. READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE GOING! I didn't have bad service, but I didn't have great service. We were followed around by the salesperson everywhere. When we told her we wanted to look around she stood across the room and watched us. This went on for about an hour. Creepy. When I told her we may have changed our minds and wanted to go with chairs instead of a loveseat she gave us a little attitude. I ignored her. I thought we were getting a good deal until I accidentally googled the chair I was about to purchase and found it over $350 cheaper at Goedekers! And the price at Ashley was their Labor Day Sale price! Hmmmmm....They did honor the price but weren't very pleasant about it. Also, FYI...Goedekers has FREE shipping and offers satisfaction guarantee while Ashley charges $99.95 with NO RETURNS! I wish I would have know all this before I walked into Ashley. But, they did give me the cheaper price for the loveseat and I went elsewhere for the chairs. I don't have the loveseat yet so cannot comment on the delievery or quality. My experience was just eh. We purchased a recliner couch from Ashley about 4 years ago. We wouldn't recommend them to anyone we want to keep as friends. The couch recliner mechanism broke within a year. Yes they did come out and try to repair it but couldn't. They finally replaced the couch only to have it happen again and now they won't cover it. No one told us that when the couch was replaced our extended warranty was null and void. Be aware of the cheap furniture that they sell and don't expect them to back it years down the road when you just use it for everyday use and not abusing it. read more

I've given this store over a week to respond to my concerns with no call or email back. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of how great our salesman Stephen, and the service tech Jay that came to do the repairs were. To start, when our couch was delivered it was not set up correctly so one of the recliner motors didn't work. Not a big deal until we called to see how they go about fixing it. We were told it would be at least a week until someone could come out. That's a long time to have part of your couch stuck in the reclined position in your living room. My wife made arrangements to be there when they said a tech could come fix it. (Thursday. between 11am-2pm) Still an inconvenience but not a big deal. We got the automated call on Wednesday confirming our appointment between 10am- 1pm, which had somehow changed from the original time. This did not work out with our schedules so I called to reschedule for another date. I called the store directly and was informed the next opening isn't for another month. I let them know this was not acceptable and we would like it fixed sooner. Was told I would receive a call back that night (Wednesday) by 8pm when they close to reschedule. We did not receive a call or email that night so my wife called on Thursday morning around 8:30 and spoke to Crystal to see why we never received a call and what dates/times work for our schedule. She had to re-explain our entire situation because Crystal couldn't find any notes about the issue. After being placed on hold for a while, Crystal came back on the line saying a tech was in route to our house and will be there in 15 minutes. Mind you this was after we said this time did not work and we needed to reschedule. Crystal said there is only 1 tech in the area and if we we're not there when he arrived, we would have to wait another month. My wife expressed her frustration and that we will need compensation for the multiple mistakes and expect a call back that day. She had to use a sick day to leave immediately since the tech was showing up a hour before THE TIME THAT WE SAID DID NOT WORK. The tech Jay was very professional and polite, fixed the problem in less than 5 minutes. We gave the store a chance to rectify the situation and waited an entire day for a call back. No call. I had to call in and asked to speak to a manager to see what they decide to do to compensate us for having to use an entire sick day for the stores several mistakes. Gertrude who answered asked what the issue was since there was no documentation of any of our problems so I re explained everything again. Was put on hold to ask her manager (who I asked to speak with initially) and she came back offering a $50 gift card. I informed her my wife makes more than $50 in a day that was wasted on this issue and we would need something more. She took my name and number and said the manager would be calling me that night. This was on 9/19. Still waiting on that call... Needless to say I will not be doing business with Ashley in the future and I will write as many reviews as I can letting people know how little their customers mean to them. -Pete read more

Overall pleasant experience. But beware of VULTURES! :-0 As soon as you walk in, you're immediately hunted down by one of the commission-based sales people. They circle like vultures, and even though you just want to be left alone to look around in a non-committal way, they find you and make their sales pitch haaaarrddd. Just be warned. Other than that, the experience was nice. The vulture, I mean sales rep, was actually very lovely and helped me select and order a bed all within half an hour. I had just ordered a Casper mattress, which needs to be sitting on a flat surface, so he helped me figure what would be the best foundation for the bed frame/headboard I selected. He also helped get me a better price by working the store promotion - so I really do appreciate that kindness. I know that the product is cheap and not made of real wood, but it still feels sturdy enough and looks nice. The delivery guys brought the bed up the apartment stairs, assembled it, took away all trash and cleaned up after themselves nicely. I would recommend this to a friend who is in a transitional stage in life. Great for apartment-dwellers. This is not for someone who wants to buy the high-end stylish piece they'll live with for 30 years, but it sure does the job as a relatively inexpensive fix for the short-term. read more

Warning everyone considering buying from Ashley to look elsewhere. I opted to pick up my furniture at the distribution center to avoid the 79.99$ delivery fee, meaning I would assemble it. After assembling the entire tv stand unit, the final piece had a major flaw in the finish. After offering to bring back the flawed piece for exchange, I was told that I needed to disassemble the whole piece to bring it back by their customer service center to have it replaced, that their "return policy is just like if you were to buy something at Walmart." I wish I could now just return the whole thing and be done with it, but Ashley policy states that isn't an option either. read more

Working with Tony was a pleasure! The service was great and I was able to get what I was looking for. My only disappointment was in the delivery. Many of their competitors offer a credit or discount on the delivery fee, so I was a little disappointed but they were also going to take away my old mattress. The delivery guy asked if the trash would take the mattress rather than him taking it because it was big. I was not going to pay another company to haul it away after I thought that the value of paying for the delivery was in the haul away. read more

I ordered a sofa sleeper and a full metal bed on July 9. I was told the both pieces would be delivered on July 26. I was called on July 22 to schedule delivery and then called back on July 23 to inform me that the sofa was damaged and the bed is available but they can't deliver separately so I have to wait for redelivery of both pieces on Aug 2. I received a call on July 29 confirming delivery on Aug 2 and then once again receive a call on July 30 informing that half of the bed is delayed and that they don't have a delivery date on the sofa. I called the delivery number and they were of no help. they are unable to explain the delay, or when the sofa will be delivered. I spoke to a supervisor, Fabian W, and he also could not provide any assistance. he kept apologizing for the delay but offered no solution, nor was able to have the bed delivered separately from the sofa. I would not have purchased furniture from this store if I knew their delivery issues. it seems from reading other reviews that they use the "damaged" excuse often to explain their delivery delays. I don't recommend buying from this store. Weekend's only, Target, Pottery Barn delivery as promised! I've never had this much trouble with furniture delivery. read more
