After calling and emailing him we have still not heard back. I will never shop here again. Cory S at the West County location was so patient with us! He showed us all kinds of couches, recliners, and mattresses. He helped us find what we loved and then gave us time and space to decide our colors and if we truly loved the products. He wasn't pushy or in our face about buying the furniture. He assured us that if we have any problems with our products that he would be there for us. (He said we won't have problems, just in case though). I can't wait to see the furniture in our home! The checkout process was so easy. They gave us all of the paperwork we needed and were so kind and helpful. Once our furniture is delivered, I will be able to update my star rating. read more

I have purchased at Ashley Furniture Homestore before and never had a problem. We ordered living room furniture 2/13/21 it was to be delivered this week. We get their automated system call that delivery was scheduled today, and to confirm or we would be removed from the schedule, so we changed schedules and confirmed the delivery. NO CALL NO DELIVERY...call their so called customer service and the individual that took our call responds ohhhh well we have problems with that system. We can't get your furniture until at least the 7th. And rescheduled delivery for 1 week from today, but of course we wont know when until the dysfunctional automated system calls us. CUSTOMER SERVICE my backside. This is ridiculous, is this the new customer service policy of Ashley Homestores???????? No apology no what can we do just our system doesn't work and we know it. I just want to share my very very bad experience from Ashley. I bought the Jauraro bedroom set. I have no complains about the dresser and the chest drawers. The problem is the bedframe itself. It wobbles and for sure will collapse very soon. The headboard slants on the right side of the bed. (I attached photo) I called them several times and they said they will send somebody to get. The guy came and did nothing and told me that the best frame is actually faulty and that he can't do anything about it. Even if it gets replaced, it will do the same thing because the bed is faulty. I posted my review with a photo and they took it down and called me promising they will do something about it. But... they didn't!!! I had sleepless night after purchasing this crappy furniture. I was hoping they will fixed the situation but blew me off instead! don't buy your furniture from Ashley! Not only you'll get crappy furniture the customer service is horrible. I will NEVER purchase anything else from here again!!!! I purchased a living room set (couch & loveseat leather/power/reclining) in Nov 2020 & a 5 yr protection plan (this is in addition to 1 yr manufacturer warranty). I was forced to use their recommended 3rd party delivery serv Bc the set was not in the warehouse, only in store. They claimed they dont deliver furn thats not in the WH. Upon receiving the furniture none of the USB ports worked. I called my sales person immediately & made him aware of the issue. He promised to make sure the service dept handled it. I never got a call or repair so I reached out to cust serv myself & put in an order was told I'd be contacted within 24 hrs by the service tech. Again nothing so I called customer service back & they promised me tech would call, they even ordered parts to be sent to me for the tech & I've had those parts since early Jan. I've gone to the store, twice and no help. It's now May, I've called cust serv about 25 times & I'm continuously told I'll hear from tech & never do. My wife saw an ad for a TV stand that would fit nicely for the TV that we bought for our grand-daughter for her 21st birthday for $88.00. My wife called the store, talked with "Joel," who told her that yes, he had the stand, didn't need a charge number to hold it because he had six in stock. We could come over and get one anytime. My wife called me, I traveled 1/2 hour to get there before 8:30 PM, because she wanted the table right away.After arriving, I met Joel and he showed me the table. I said I'd take it, charged it to my discover card, after which Joel mentioned that he really didn't have the table in stock, I'd have to pick it up at the warehouseI another 1/2-hour away the next day, because the warehouse closes earlier than the store (8:30 PM). I said I'd settle for the demo unit on the floor, but he would not sell it to me, saying he would lose his job if he was unable to display it. I said "you could get one delivered tomorrow, I'm sure that the warehouse has trucks that deliver there every day, probably several times. (They have many stores in St. Louis, and I've read that they are a sister store to Phillips furniture, which was in Kirkwood, and from where we have purchased several items before. It was almost 9 PM and the store was about to close any minute anyhow). There was no one else in the store except another salesperson. I asked for a manager, he was not there. Joel said there would be a $91.00 delivery fee for an $88.00 table ($179.00 plus tax, total, if I wanted it delivered) After I claimed that was ridiculous, Joel explained that when you buy an entire house full of furniture, it was still $91.00, a bargain. After I got home, I called my attorney, Scott E., who told me that I was a textbook victim of "Bait & Switch." "Take them to small claims court, add the amount of time spent wasting my time, multiply by the amount I charge for my tutoring services ($60.00/hour) and will handily win the claim. Joel was a very young salesman and obviously not trained in the legal aspects of selling, or was obviously and obliviously (or not) practicing an illegal scam to make a sale. Overall I am happy with my Ashley Furniture purchase. My in-store experience was good. The salesman was very helpful and was able to answer all of the questions that we had. The quality of furniture is also quite good for the price. Plus... 12 months 0% interest is awesome when you are trying to furnish a new house. My only complaint is with the delivery of my furniture. I bought a very expensive mattress that I had to refuse because it had bumps in it, and then getting the new one was a little bit of a hassle. Like I said... Nice furniture, good prices, HORRIBLE delivery process. The sales staff say they are working out the kinks in a new warehouse and distribution system and it should get better. My delivery has been postponed or incomplete 3 times, twice with no warning except on the date of expected delivery. It is now 39 days since my purchase and I still don't have all my items. I was promised $100 store credit for my hassle the second time they screwed it up, but the credit somehow never made it into the store's computer system. (To be fair, the store staff believed me and gave me the credit anyway which I used on an item I could literally carry out of the store.) Today, the third time I did not get my expected delivery, I called customer service, and after 30 minutes on the phone am nowhere closer to a delivery of my final item than I was before the phone call. The phone number for the warehouse sends me back to the customer service department who gave me the warehouse phone number. Big hassle. When my husband I got married, we were invited by his parents to go over to Ashley Furniture HomeStore. They wanted to purchase set of living room non-leather couch (long couch and loveseat couch with pillows) for our wedding gift! My husband and I didn't want to purchase leather because it can be noisy and uncomfortable sometimes and we had no problems finding what we liked at reasonable price - we loved those couches and our friends/relatives always made compliments on how they wanted to know where we got them and how beautiful they are! The worse customer service ever.. I understand the complications COVID has caused however no excuse for poor communication. I purchased my furniture October 11 spoke to a rep 2 weeks ago told me majority of my items were in the warehouse and scheduled delivery 12/31 and to call back 12/23 to see if my other items had come in so all items could be delivered 12/31. I called today first male rep nonchalantly and almost irritable told me nothing was in and pending 1/5 didn't go into detail even when I told him what the previous female rep said. He said I don't see anything. I called back customer service who were somewhat more helpful however told me they are getting away from multiple deliveries so yes while some of my items are in the warehouse they are not able to make multiple deliveries which is nothing what the first rep told me. I wish I could take back my purchase. I have learned a lesson and will never purchase from Ashley again. read more

The quality of the furniture is not the best! We purchased a bedroom set back in 2017. The dresser was not put together well and there was really no way for me to know this because of the lighting in my bedroom. The top of the dresser is not completely attached to the base. I guess I should have purchased the protection plan! However, I went back! I purchased a sectional and two night stands. My experience with the sales guy was not good! I had to wait for him to finish up with someone else with my 1 year old toddler. A few months went buy and I decided to cancel the order because I was told the furniture was not available. Then, the wonderful store manager reached out to me and informed me that the sectional was available but the night stands would take a little longer! She gave me half off each nightstand and my delivery was free! Awesome! That was in March! I called customer service again in May to check the status of the nightstands and was told they were on back order. So, I asked them to cancel the order. Finally, I decided to go into the store to confirm the order was canceled and the store manager says she had just canceled the order the day before my arrival and that she should have called me because one of the nightstands was actually available, they had 8 of them!!!! She proceeded to tell me that I would have to reorder it and not get the half off that she originally gave me due to all of the inconvenience because it was a new order. She could only give me 25% off AND I would have to pick it up myself! So, instead of paying $150 the original price she gave me I would have to pay $300. This price change all because someone gave me false information saying they were on back order and the store manager decided not to follow up with me before she actually canceled the order. I am assuming she didn't contact me because the amount of the sale was so small! She should have called and because she didn't she should have honored the price she gave me initially because now I am inconvenienced even more!!!!! I have spent thousands of dollars in that store! I work for a company that has ordered from them as well. I have sent several people in to shop with them! Never Again!!!! Heck, shop Weekends Only or Carol House! Customer Service is key!!! Bought a couch from this store in December. We were pleased with the selection in the store and with the quality of furniture. The salesman we worked with was friendly but clingy and super awkward. We were disappointed that we had to wait 5 weeks to get our complete sectional. We had one half delivered one week after purchase then had to wait one month to get the rest. Our salesman also screwed up the order and forgot to place the order for the ottoman, which we had asked for when ordering. When we called back to ask about it, he confirmed that it was his mistake and that he had made the handwritten note to order it but forget to. We got it ordered in the end and I had to demand it, but they let me pay by phone instead of driving 45 min back out to pay for it in-person. We have had the full couch for about 3 weeks now and we love it, but it was just an ok experience at the store. read more

It seems this is a common practice with Ashley Furniture. Purchased bedroom set and sectional back in May with an expected delivery date end of June. Paid in full at time of purchase. Because of Covid, I completely understand a delay from that original delivery date. It's almost September and still nothing. When we try to call the phone rings and never gets answered. We have gone into the store spoke with team members about the situation. A few weeks ago we were told that they were able to move things around and we would get everything by August 25th. This week we get the worthless text messages stating our items can not be delivered. Turns out, there was nothing to move around to set up our delivery, because they haven't even made the furniture, according to the person at the store. Now it's pushed until mid to end of October. What honest business owner would feel this is ethical business practice? You have our money and yet we have nothing to show for it except empty promises. Bought a sofa, started pealing 2 years after bought. It sits by the window but we rarely use it. Warranty we purchased didn't cover it because it is 'manufacturer defect'. Out of warranty from store (furniture is cheap junk). Customer service wasn't easy to reach or very helpful. On the plus side, store is nice, was nice for a few years and overall inexpensive. This is by far the worst furniture buying experience I've ever had. BEWARE of this store and don't get anything here that has to be delivered. You've been warned. Multiple hours in the store checking inventories and being forced through an arduous negotiation process. Unprofessional sales staff. Over 3 weeks for delivery. Failed delivery because they didn't follow instructions we agreed on during the sale. Clueless customer service, the sales person we dealt with quit, management (her name is KATIE) is aloof and rude, and the store has NO IDEA on what is going on with the warehouse/distribution side so good luck if you have to reschedule delivery or deliver multiple times or check inventories. The worst, hated it, and will tell everyone I know to avoid this place at all costs. __________UPDATE The first FAILED delivery involved delivery of a king bed assembled when we specifically agreed not to assemble it before as it wouldn't fit up my stairs, which is a VERY common request for king bed furniture. It took 6 communications with Ashley people to reschedule the delivery for the following weekend with mix messages and various times coming from different departments. And guess what...THEY STILL DELIVERED the king bed ASSEMBLED the SECOND TIME! In fact, they actually tried to re-deliver the EXACT SAME bed they tried to deliver the first time. The delivery men blame the store, the store blames warehouse (her name is CHERYL) customer service has no authority to really get anything done. They will have new inventory by Sunday but I have to wait until that Wednesday to get the order! This is not just the worst furniture experience I've ever had, this is without a doubt the WORST BUYING EXPERIENCE I've EVER HAD, of ALL TIME, regardless of the product or company. Awful customer service- Reba at the Manchester store told me 'it's sad to say this but the store is there to make the sale and then corporate takes it from there regarding return/exchanges'. Ashely from Corporate was very rude- basically hung up on me. Items I purchased were repackaged in boxes from other items (the picture on the boxes of my merchandise were not the items I ordered, the employee at the warehouse told me they recycle packaging and that's why the pictures didn't match to what I ordered). My thoughts are someone had to have seen my merchandise was damaged when they 'repackaged' it. I also believe my furniture may have already been returned due to damage and that's why it came in 'recycled' packaging. Ashley has informed me I will need to return the damaged furniture to their warehouse on my own time which I believe is poor customer service due to the fact that someone repackaged damage furniture instead of discarding it from the get-go. Will never purchase from Ashley again and will spread the word to family and friends. read more

We recently went to Ashley in west county just to look at some living room furniture and ended up buying an entire new living room set! The pricing was very good (they matched Weekends Only with the sale they had going on) and the best part of the experience was the service. Carlos worked with us and was very patient as we changed our minds and updated our order several times. He was patient, helpful, and extremely nice. The delivery drivers were great as well. On 1/31/20 I came into this location and bought a mattress and a bed frame. Everything was good both of my sales people were wonderful they made the experiance great. It was everything else that happened after words that makes me dislike this company. I had my bed frame and mattresses scheduled to be delivered on 2/12/20, but then got a call saying that my bed frame wasn't able to be sent out with my mattresses because it wasn't comfirmed. I then reschedule the delivery again and got another call saying that the bed frame could not get delivered. At this point I was soo mad because no one told me that anything was on back order until the THIRD time I had to reschedule my delivery for today 3/6/20. Every person that my mom and I have dealt with at the distribution center have been sooo rude and weren't very helpful. The sales people that helped me and the four delivery guys that delivered my bed frame and mattresses were wonderful. But this company needs to work on their communication with their customers. read more

We had a good purchase experience, but a horrible warranty service experience. The store GM, Reeva (SP) didn't do much to assist. She basically told us to call the home office in Memphis and speak with someone there. Lots of people sell good furniture, but very few have service to make it matter. Unfortunately Ashley furniture missed the mark. I would recommend everyone strongly consider other stores with better service before shopping at Ashley. They don't have a commitment to service or solving problem. If you shop there DON'T buy the service plan from GBS Enterprises...It's a TOTAL Rip off IF you can get them to call you back. read more
