We enjoyed our buying experience at the Ashley store. Employees were helpful and good to deal with. We purchased a top of the line Tempurpedic adjustable bed, and a new living room set, a lot of money to say the least. Included in our purchase were $600. in bedding and a $300. Discount on the adjustable bases. When our 3rd world brown glove delivery truck arrived, they did not have the bedding with them, nor was it on the paperwork. These people were anything but helpful and just wanted get done and leave asap. They were dragging boxes across my new and very expensive floor instead of carrying them and just left the manuals on the bedroom floor. White glove delivery?? It was anything but white glove. Now we have a new split king bed with no bedding, so we drive 1/2 hr. to the store and just get the brush off. They had no record of the bedding or the $300. promo credit on the bases. Customer service is not existent. We have been to the store numerous times and the management cannot and will not do a thing to help. I even have in writing that the store would credit our account $900. but they have failed to follow through. Store manager will not give me access to a district manager or anyone up the food chain. What kind of company does business like this?? I have called the customer no service line only to get off shore agents who are not empowered to help. I have been lied to by these people as they have also failed to follow through with their promises. Do yourself a favor and read all of the on line reviews describing the despicable way this business treats its customers. I highly recommend buying your furniture from a reputable retailer and steering clear of this scam company. I absolutely regret buying from Ashley. read more

I cannot begin to tell you how upset I am with Ashley. I bought my couch April 23rd. My card was charged $1,013.67 on April 23rd. It is now May 30th, and I have still not received my couch.  IT IS NOW MAY 30th!  Where is my couch?I have reported Ashley to the Better Business Bureau!   This is the 5th time I have stayed home and cancelled work so I would be home, for delivery of the couch. I was supposed to get a phone call and an email for the exact time of delivery. I never do. I contact Ashley, and each time I am told an identical lie.  I bought the couch on 4/23/24. Delivery est. 5/10.No couch on the 10th. New delivery day:5/13. No couch on the 13th. New delivery date:    ONLINE COMMUNIQUE on 5/16/24. My couch was originally due to be delivered on May 10th and no later than May 13. I tried to find out when it was coming,  it looked online like the order had13th been delayed to 5/16 but I received no official notice. On May 16th I was really wondering where my couch was (it had been twice I was told it was coming! Here is what the Ashley representative from the website said: Julius (Ashley online rep):  "Thank you for reaching out. After checking our system, it appears that the estimated arrival date of your order at our WAREHOUSE is 05/17/2024, with an estimated DELIVERY DATE of 05/23/2024. While I understand this may not align with your expectations, please rest assured that I will send a notification to our Ashley Partner store to gather more information about your order. You can expect an update from us within 24-72 business hours. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this process." New delivery day: 5/30. ONLINE COMMUNIQUE on 5/23/24No update ever received. Contacted Ashley online rep, Stacey. Stacey - 9:36 AM "I appreciate your patience. For a few more minutes, would you please remain on the line so I can investigate this further?Thank you for patiently waiting, Cheryl. Upon checking, I can confirm that it was scheduled for May 23, however, there's no delivery time since the team will notify you 6 hours before the delivery of your order. I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused." No couch delivery ever happened on 5/23.  TELEPHONE IN-STORE COMMUNIQUE on 5/23/24 Cell phone conversation. Talked to in-store representative; asked WHAT TIME TODAY my couch would be delivered. She informed me: No Delivery, yet.  "Couch hasn't even left warehouse."She informs me that on May 23  the couch will leave the warehouse; due to arrive at my house on MAY 30th.   It is now MAY 30th. Against all my better judgement, and because we have so limited furniture options in Bellingham, we went to Ashley. Our previous experience years ago was horrendous, but we had tried ordering from a very popular online company for a new couch and were disappointed with what we got. We showed up to look and met Scott who was helpful and not intrusive into our search through the store. I think we got lucky to have Scott help us. He was honest and gave me straight answers. We were between two options and he printed us out the details and quotes to take home. After calling him back and a little negotiation based on our last experience we had a deal and it was just a matter of seeing if we could get it all delivered properly and on time. Worst experience ever at a furniture store! Worst service ever! We purchased a mattress and an adjustable bed frame, we were told we have to have it picked up today and that they can not deliver do to their policy against any deliveries. We get there to pick up our product, our brand new mattress just sitting in the loading dock with nothing covering the new white mattress. They have no way of covering this mattress and expected us to load up and drive away in the pouring rain without anything to protect the exposed mattress. I would expected that they would have the ability to insure any new product they sell to leave their store protected. Or at the very least to inform the customer that it's their responsibility to bring bags and materials to protect their purchase. I do not recommend Ashley's furniture to anyone, I would encourage people looking for good service not to shop the Ashley's Furniture store at the Bellis Fair Mall. I asked for a return and will shop somewhere else for needs. Not a good Sunday at Ashley's!!!!! read more

Never buying a product here again. I bought two faux leather sofas here and after a couple years all the faux leather started peeling off leaving the black fabric below. I went in and asked if there was a fix or if I could get a discount off of new sofas and they basically told me I was SOL. Never again. read more

Ashley Store - Furniture Stores Near Me - Bellingham, Washington

Only one star for a simple reason: the 9" tall box spring foundation for the mattress was 4" too tall for comfort and looks, and I told them so on the same day the shipment arrived (yesterday as I'm typing this), but even though it is still sealed in the factory bag, Ashley has refused to exchange it for a shorter 5" box spring. The other mattress dealers I checked with in town said they would have exchanged box spring in this situation for my comfort. Ashley said I could buy another one, not exchange. When I made the purchase last week, no measurements were made to see how the taller box spring would affect the overall height of the mattress. I wanted the mattress high enough to be able to change the bottom sheet easily. As it turns out, I can't even turn around and sit on the mattress, it's so high. To aggravate the situation, the bed I also bought from Ashley arrived in the shipment yesterday with all three supporting slats cut about 1/2-3/4" too short to screw to the foundation support rails. During my call to Ashley outlining these issues, it was noted that the slats would have to be replaced via another shipment, and if the box spring would have been exchanged also, it would have been in the same delivery as the slats. So that made good economic sense to get both items on the truck. But no, Ashley has refused. By the way, this in no way reflects on the salesperson, who was very friendly and professional. This was the first time I've shopped and purchased at Ashley. Based on my current dissatisfaction with the bad quality of the bed slats and their immediate refusal to exchange the unopened box spring, it was the last time. read more

Love the service and selection and payment options. Hate the delivery situation. First delivery was guys that scared me, second, nicer more willing men. The warehouse is far away and they come out when the truck is full and it may save money but it is inconvenient for the customer. For example, if something is broken when it arrives, you cannot get it replaced in just a few days. They guys are on a tight schedule and you have to make a quick decision under pressure about whether what you ordered is ok. They set it up and take away the mess which is terrific! You can refuse the item at that point (while they delivery guys are still there), and you need to look it over too, all in about five minutes. I have a coffee table with an extra scratch which I noticed after they left and another with a ding. It's all distressed, so I figure I can live with it, these things are so frustrating. read more

My wife and I finally moved to a much larger place and are having so much fun picking out furniture and area rugs. We love the selection and amazing service at Ashley Home Store in Bellingham. Natalie is more than great she is awesome. She knows what is in the store and where to find it. She followed up on a previous order and is tracking our current one. Her personality is infectious, always fun. Wayne helped us the first time his furniture knowledge is tremendous. We have been to this store several times now and probably will be back. I never write reviews, but this has gone too far! I am thoroughly disgusted with Ashley's customer service. I order a set of furniture online. Once my order was submitted I never got an order confirmation or any notice that my order had be received except for the money had been taken from my account. After sitting on hold for the sum of over 6 hrs over the last week and talking to several customer service agent, the best the offered was they could give me a call back within 24 hrs. That was 96 hrs ago, guess what, no phone call. Who knows if I'll even receive my furniture. Hopefully your experience will be better, because it can't be any worse! read more

This is not even a 1 star review- it wouldn't let me leave it at zero stars. I purchased a couch and loveseat just days before Thanksgiving. The set was delivered and set up but that same evening the motor on the couch recliner stopped working. I tried for several hours to contact someone via the customer service number provided. I was caller 245th in the queue. Sheer ridiculousness! I decided to call back the next day and again was unable to get through to anyone. I then went into the Ashley store and told them of my frustrations and the fact that I had purchased a couch that had literally worked for a couple of hours. All they said they could do was call and try and open a case for me. Needless to say, it is now January 20th and after several attempts to contact someone to get this resolved, I am still waiting for a working couch. This was my first purchase from Ashley and it will absolutely be the last!! No one has made this right and trying to get any customer service is impossible!! Buyer beware!! read more

Wish it was possible to give -stars! Service does not exist with this organization. Picked out a desk and small 2 drawer file cabinet online. Went in to purchase at store. Should have been in and out in 5. Had a truck ready to take home. They don't stock anything and you can not have the free delivery offered online apparently. Was warned that my item would most likely be broken if delivered UPS from an on online order. Told I would NOT be able to take it back to the store either. The required delivery was $90. I said take off the file cabinet I can get it online. I was told that delivery price did not change. Went ahead and ordered as long as guaranteed for delivery on 23rd. Absolutely I was told! Receipt showed it too. Paid and left. After correcting the overcharge on the file cabinet. The pricing was right in front of the women and yet she overcharged me. When I pointed it out she said it would take a manager to fix? She just looked at me as if it was a question and perhaps I would just want to accept the $50 overcharge vs. have her call someone. I literally had to say-okay, call someone?! Stayed home ALL day on the 23rd-no call, no email, no text nothing. And as you probably have figured out NO DELIVERY! Called the next day Christmas Eve to customer care # to learn first "note says they called" DID NOT HAPPEN. Then, the rep was honest and said "strange, delivery actually was NEVER scheduled". She also seemed to feel they could have allowed free delivery without setup even though purchased at the store. She also said delivery should have been $45 which means they did charge delivery for the file cabinet as well, which is why delivery was $90. I work from home online with a start time of 7am on the 26th, hence the need for a delivery by the 23rd. My old desk and cabinets were removed and given away. Multiple computers and monitors are needed for my job. Well, the customer care rep said the soonest she could schedule a delivery was Sat. the 28th. I had her confirm my # was correct and they stated-No CALL is needed, I MUST have this desk ASAP and we will stay home absolutely ALL DAY--JUST SHOW UP THIS TIME. Again, waited all day, no call, email test, or delivery!!!!! Got verbal confirmation multiple times that if we stayed home ALL DAY again the item would be delivered on Sat. 12/28. She repeatedly apologized and stated "yes, yes they will for sure deliver this time it is scheduled. I have noted that someone will be there all hours of the day!" Paid over $614.14 to this store just over a week ago and not sure I will ever receive the merchandise. I do very important work online and my company which is devoted to good service suffered due to office being in disarray.
