And each were $1,000 or less. I've been burnt by $400.00 press board couches so I stepped it up to a grand and I definitely got my moneys worth. Our couch is really solid in its frame and even more comfy to sit on. Definitely the best couch we've ever bought. The service was great too. I found a couch I liked and ordered it online. They told me my couch would be delivered on Saturday between 3-5PM. They did not lie. Precisely at 3pm, their truck showed up with two friendly/professional gentleman and they loaded it up a flight of stairs and into my living room no problem. It was so quick and hassle free. Again, I'm no furniture critic but I am a very happy customer.

We liked the 12 week one better, but went with the 6 week loveseat as family was to visit and we needed the seating. We paid for it in full. Called July 24 to get an update. Was told Lou wasn't in. The receptionist couldn't see the ETA page. Said she'd have Lou call us with an update. Looking at the receipt I did notice no ETA was given. Lou never called. Walked into Samuel's on August 14, 8 weeks after the order. Again was told Lou normally works but was out. Again the receptionist couldn't see any ETA information. However, it was stated that that particular company does have a 12 week lead time, so we were still in the delivery window. I said we were told 6 weeks and if we had been told the reality, we would have gone with the other loveseat that we liked better!! A copy of our receipt was taken. We were told Lou would call us with an update. Lou never called. August 25th we got a call from the office manager. We were informed that the imported parts needed for manufacturing the loveseat had been lost so there would be a delay. BUT also our order HAD NEVER BEEN PLACED so there would be a lead time of an additional 12 weeks!! We still needed the loveseat. I said my husband and I would discuss it and get back to them. We were offered a rebate for our inconvenience. August 26th husband decided enough. He went into Samuel's and requested the order be cancelled and a refund issued. He was told their accounting department would get back to him in a couple of days!! We're still waiting for them to call. When we ordered we paid for the item in full right then, but we have to wait on their leisure for a refund when the errors are theirs! They've given erroneous information, evaded communication, and took our funds but failed to place the order!! We've spoken to others, this appears to be Samuel's SOP. Do not recommend doing business with them unless the item you want is in stock, in their warehouse, ready for you to pick up right now!

I headed there soon after they opened, and was both shocked and pleasantly surprised to see they had, quite literally, taken over the ENTIRETY of the former K-dog store in Sunset Square. In other words: THIS PLACE IS HUGE. I would describe At Home as a combination of Ikea, Costco and Big Lots with a little bit of Pier One thrown in for some character. It feels like they have everything you could possibly need to turn your house or apartment into a cute space. From outdoor furniture to indoor accessories to wall art this is basically a one stop shop that would have been a dream place back in the old days when I used to decorate model homes. But what At Home offers in selection (and decent prices) it lacks in character and inspiration. In other words, you pretty much need to bring your own creativity. Yeah, they have a few mini room displays tossed around the store for inspiration, but one of the things I love about other stores (think Ikea or, locally, The Greenhouse) is that they display entire rooms, or at least vignettes, that spark ideas and - presumably - result in consumers buying more products than they initially planned. I love the inspiration I get when I see not only a couch displayed, but an entire room. At Home definitely lacks this, even though they have MORE than enough space to accomplish it. The MOST frustrating part about the store was the absolutely abysmal setup of the checkout area. There are no lanes, just a small grouping of cash registers and one master line - which would be okay (it works in some places) if there was a way for cashiers to indicate they're free to serve you. But there's not. And the angle of the line is such that you can't SEE the cashiers. So they each have to basically jump out into the aisle to announce they're free. It's REALLY weird, and super bad planning. I felt bad for them! Also, the smell inside this place was overwhelming - worse in some aisles than others. I'm going to give them a pass on it, as they're new and I assume that "fresh plastic/paint/?" smell will disperse after a time. But if you're sensitive to smells, I'd give it a little time to air out before going.

I am replacing my initial review of five stars with this…read more I purchased a leather and steel love seat in Sept 2021. The price was $2100 which was a major purchase for me. The sales person was very kind and helpful during our interaction. We had some questions that he couldn't answer. He attempted to talk with the owner in another room and was given little and uninterested attention. Later as we were discussing the item and purchase, the owner happened to pass through the showroom and the sales person again attempted to ask him a question and he was given a flippant rather rude answer. It gave me the feeling of disrespect of the sales person as well as us, the customer. We purchased the item anyway, though we seriously considered walking. Now, 2+ years later, we have discovered a failure in the cushion hook and loop attachment system. The cushion is held in place by a strip of hook and loop (Velcro) along the front edge. The hook strip is sewn onto the couch. There is no loop strip. Instead hook strip grabs the fabric on the bottom side of the cushion. That fabric has kind of a fuzzy surface. When we remove the cushion, the hooks tear a little bit of the fabric away until I found that the fabric now has a hole in it. If it was a true hook and loop, the fabric would not have been subjected to this tearing. Of course this only happens when the cushions are removed for cleaning underneath. Admittedly, I haven't clean under the cushions more than six times in the last two years. That is not very many removals of the cushions that would warrant a "normal wear and tear" defense. The owner's earlier conduct was repeated when I called him about the failure. Disinterest and disregard. He answered "When we separate the cushion from the body of the chair, we place our hand right next to the Velcro and release it with a sliding motion, rather that just pulling up on the cushion. That lessans the tension on the connection point. I don't know what else to say. No one has every pointed this out." The couch didn't come with an Owner and Operation Manual. I didn't know that there was a procedure for removing the cushions. I am extremely disappointed in the owners attitude toward customer service and the quality of the company products. Although the over quality of the piece is good, I would not recommend doing business with this company.

The proprietors are Debbie and Jim. Their curation is amazing. Before we even entered the store, they had good music (Ray Charles) playing at appropriate volume from high quality concealed speakers. More about that in a minute. While they don't have as much guy-stuff as they do girl-stuff, they have ten times as much guy stuff as any other five antique shops I've been in. Before we talked to Debbie about whether it was OK to take pictures (it is OK), I was sneaking photos on my phone where I couldn't be seen. If you want to outfit the best man cave ever, this is the place to shop. Which brings me back to the music. Jim does clever retrofitting of radios and other pieces, putting high quality Bluetooth-capable speakers in them. So there is pleasant music throughout the shop and it's hard to tell where it's coming from. The antiques literally sing. I had a huge grin when I found the first one. I KNOW there's music coming from this wall, but from where...? They should do a lot of these and make them easily discoverable by other than curious audiophiles. There's two floors to explore in this absolutely huge building and they've got just about anything you can think of. During my most recent visit, I got a beautiful new bread basket, a 1969 Life magazine detailing the moon landing, and some new Christmas decorations. It's all over the place, as any good antique shop should be. The woman at the counter (I presume she is the owner) is super friendly too. They seem to run a fair amount of sales, so you might find something old you love at the perfect price. Have fun, take your time, and check this shop out!

If these were truly your "personal, not-for-sale belongings," why on earth were they left piled up on a public retail counter? I'm sure rents have gone up and Goodwill is feeling the pinch like a lot of businesses/not for profits these days but when your closest competition is Value Village and your prices match or exceed VV's, that's a red flag to me. Our most recent visit was definitely our most disappointing one. I found a number of interesting looking games, two of which had multiple price stickers. These two were both card games and when I brought these to the attention of an employee I was told that the higher of the marked prices were the most recent. Each of those card games was priced at $10, which to me was ludicrous. On the other hand, large boxed games like Monopoly were less than that. Clothing was also more expensive than I'm used to in this shop and so I found very little of interest. The selection and quality varies widely as you might expect, so you never know what you're going to find. Plenty of parking out front and the staff were friendly enough.

The item arrived with a 1/2" and 1/4" chip to the base. I asked the seller to cover return shipping, but was informed by the seller that "Ruby Lane has a clear Return Policy, which states you can return any item for any reason with three days of receiving, however the buyer is responsible for return shipping." Both Rubylane and Paypal verified that they both share this policy, even when items are misrepresented. Per Paypal, I mailed the item back to the seller in the same box it arrived in, and in the same condition along with tracking and insurance. When it arrived the seller suggested I broke the bowl. He wrote me "Although you received the Bowl in one piece, it was returned to me shattered. The box appeared in good condition, but the contents were in pieces." I wanted to leave a review on Rubylane, but Rubylane gives sellers the option of showing or hiding their shop's reviews. This explains why you can't find any reviews for Diamond Antiques. I have been an antique collector for over 30 years, and have spent the last 3 years on the board of directors of an International Club that promotes antiques. In all those years I have never once been accused of intentionally damaging something that I returned. Be cautious when buying from this shop. This is the worst experience I've ever had on the internet, and I hope no one else is treated this way again by this seller.

So, it may depend whose working or the particular needs of the store at a given time. This is my biggest issue with them is the consistency. Their acceptance seems to, at times depend on who is working and I rarely see the same gals behind the counter. They are always pleasant and don't make me feel rushed though. I like that they donate clothes, so you know if Labels does not accept them they will end up in a good home :-) I have purchased a few books here (bran new) but rarely anything else. I searched for jeans several times and can't find my size. Also, it's hard to get to clothes because most of them are jam- packed on the racks with little room to freely move about the store. They accept and move an insane amount of merchandise, which is great for consignors but doesn't lend to to a very pleasant shopping experience. Payments are always prompt and hassle free. Some places require you to have a minimum amount in your account. Not the case here, just present your ID and you're good to go!

Another pair of nice new earrings and a pair of unworn cotton leggings somehow vanished; never shown in my items list and never accounted for. So, I advise sellers to NEVER select "donate," but pick up what they don't sell, as it is so easy for "donated" items to disappear. I will not ever take jewelry to Labels again. A couple of small pieces were clearly marked Sterling; they sold them for $5 each, so I received $2.00 for a piece of Sterling jewelry! Not worth the trouble. Whoever is in charge of pricing jewelry does not know what she is doing. With other items, I have done better: shoes, clothing, and a brand new throw still in the bag. Sellers beware, though.
