DO NOT BUY ANY FURNITURE FROM THIS STORE! The customer service here is pathetic. I received a damaged coffee table ($600) upon delivery. Weeks later they sent a tech out to "fix it". Needless to say I had to call and have another tech sent out because this product keeps failing (laminate falling off, rivets falling out of the metal corners). I finally asked for my money back and they take back their product. THEY WILL NOT REFUND ANY MONEY. I could find a better quality table at ikea for a 10th of the price. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS STORE! I had furniture delivered last week, two pieces were correct but broken, the other two pieces were the wrong color. They called me on Saturday to tell me my furniture will be delivered tomorrow, I did not receive any notifications so after calling eight times and spending 40 minutes on the phone, I finally got a person. The person tells me that I called yesterday to reschedule it to February 2 which is not correct. I never called to reschedule. Now they're telling me I have to wait till January 28. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!! The experience in the show room was ok but then once we got home, my husband realize that our Sales Rep, Nancy Collins had added the GBS 5 Year Protection Plan to our order without our permission. We questioned her about it but decided to just keep it on. We then got our delivery and the delivery men were friendly enough. But then once they asked me if it all looked ok, I told them I would just facetime my husband real quick so he could see if it looked ok to him. Right after I said that, the delivery guy got all aggressive and told me he had other deliveries to do (but per the tracking info, I had thought I was the last house...). Anyway, he was so in my face about it that I just told him he could go as my husband wasn't answering. Apparently that was my mistake because once they leave, their policy is that it's yours. But if you refuse an item then they have to take it back and you don't have to go through the whole, hard return cycle. We were not informed of this policy when we bought the furniture. My husband came home that night and we decided the coffee table was too big for the space. We have been trying to return it ever since... it's been about 3 weeks and still haven't been able to. We have called and gone to the store several times but keep being referred to other people and told we have to wait for this or that. I have never seen a return take so long and am definitely disappointed in the lack of customer care. Additionally, our dog peed on the couch so I called the protection plan company. I found out that they don't handle the full cushion if the pee has soaked through and there is no more visible stain. I went to the Ashley Furniture store to even have them help me with this, and although they were nice, they couldn't help me and were just as surprised as I was that the insurance company wouldn't help me out. Plus, it took 2 weeks for them to offer to come out. We told them not to as we just want our money back on this Protection Plan. Neither the Ashley Furniture local store or corporate says they can grant that so at this point we are going to have to tell our credit card company that it was a fraudulent item as the Sales Rep put it on the order without even asking us, let alone getting our agreement. And as a note, when I went to the store and the manager and I confronted her on that, she acted like we HAD agreed to it, which is just a lie, shady, crooked and I assume a way to get a bit more of a commission. We still have half a house to furnish, but, needless to say, with this horrible customer service and fraud, we will never be doing business with this company again. read more

We had a great shopping experience with Dawn Shirley! She was patient and helpful. We received our couch Tuesday May 31st and by Friday June 4th the motor on the recliner is no longer working.. When I called I was told we had to wait for June 24th for a repair. This is unacceptable and they should bring a new one out to replace this one as soon our original delivery was scheduled. Don't do it - seriously - go to another store. I am now nearly a month from the date that I handed them money they required prior to delivery - they want it all up front. Once you write the check or give them the credit card, you will play hell getting a call back or customer service of any type. They told me they had inventory, and then said the "warehouse" count was wrong and it would be two weeks before the bedroom suite would be delivered. Had I not noticed in the store that I needed box springs to put under my foam mattress, which I told the salesman about, I would have received a bed that would not work with my mattress. I am still waiting for BOX SPRINGS - See Derek C's note from December 2014. They blamed the warehouse for our lack of box springs, too. I don't know WHO they blame for their disorganization, bad attitude and lack of communication. I can't ask because they won't deal with the fact that we have a disassembled bed still sitting in the bedroom - when they do call back, they don't have info and they clearly don't care. They won't take the furniture back, and they won't complete the sale/order. The guys who delivered the bed shirked the set up responsibility onto the "people who are going to deliver the box springs." Whenever that will be- maybe some box spring gnomes will drop by soon?! Store manager Kristi is a piece of work - unprofessional and not at all customer oriented. SERIOUSLY! Shop somewhere else - ANYWHERE else. After my visit to Ashley, I wrote the following letter to the store manager and received no response: On April 22, I purchased a Jezolo Manual Reclining Loveseat from your salesman. He told me the price was $999 but, due to a store special, it would be $899. He asked me if I wanted to buy the store warranty and I told him I never buy extended warranties. He told me he could get an override and would cost nothing, to which I agreed. We completed the purchase and, with delivery included, the total cost was $989. When I got home, I googled your store and learned the actual price was $549. Adding delivery, it came to $686. I called the store and spoke with the salesman, who told me I hadn't asked for a Price Match. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking Price Match is to compare your company to its competitors, not your store against its own listed prices. I called again and spoke with a woman who agreed to refund $303 and that has happened but it would not have happened had we not been proactive. It looks to us as thought Omar saw a couple senior citizens, figured we'd never look up the actual price and attempted to steal $303 from us. I'm hoping there is a reasonable explanation but can't imagine what it might be. If I don't hear from you by May 21, I will write a review on Yelp and AARP, register a complaint with the BBB and any other relevant party I can think of. read more

We ordered a lot of furniture and just moved in a new apartment. What was supposed to be one day became 7 days later. WE slept on the floor, very uncomfortable. We financed it through AcceptanceNow. The delivery people don't care. Called in to customer to wait 14 days to have it inspected. Then told have to order the replacement portion. Not worth paying $3000 for damaged goods. It doesn't stop there. The chair arrive first. One chair has the wrong parts. Another several weeks. The table is cracked and dinged. Went to simply return an unopened item like instructed over the phone. While I got there the so called store "owner", sitting there with no tag and refusing to identify. she looked like a regular receptionist, was trying to give me a hard time. I recorded the incident and she thought she can be violent and try to take my phone from my hands. Haha what a joke. Then , without any reasonable reason besides trying to save the commission for the store and to force a customer to keep an unused unopened item that was delivered way after time, she thought she can be aggressive and make me keep the item. Visted Ashely Furniture several times while on the hunt for some new furniture. Let's just say I look forward to shopping for new furniture about as much a getting a root canal. I've had way too many salespeople hover like vultures during the visit. Thankfully, a very kind salesperson, Dragonia, was extraordinarily helpful, kind, and gave just the right amount of attention. Fortunately, Ashley had exactly what I was looking for, so I'm a very satisfied customer of the company, and a huge fan of my salesperson. Potential customers BEWARE! This location is "abysmal". Now for the issue... The furniture was scheduled to arrive one month after the purchase, which under the COVID circumstances, my husband and I were in agreement. The delivery people told us that they could not unwrap or unbox the 2 chairs and the coffee table. After they left it turns out that the glass was chipped on the table and one of the chairs was a used chair different color than the other one. We quickly took pictures and called the store and after being transferred more than 5 times we were asked to send picture via email. She then said an inspector would come to our house. Well, after many tries for 3 weeks and finally reaching a manager, the inspector came out and agreed with us that definitely the chair needed to be replaced along with the broken glass on the table. We were told that it would take one week for the glass and 3 more weeks for the chair. Well 3 months later, we still do not have either. Last Friday we got a text telling us that the chair was going to be delivered today, though we were dissatisfied that only the chair was going to be delivered without the replacement table glass, we were still hopeful. TODAY, a little genetic truck showed up at our door 2 hours late and took out a chair. The chair had no plastic cover, nor any tags on it. It was full of dirt. I THOUGHT - THIS has to be a joke! Well, we refused to accept the run down dirty chair. It has been 5 hours now since that instance and we still have not had anyone correct the problem. It has been futile trying to get management at the store or the salesperson (Nancy Collins) to call us back or even make any contact with them. We always get transferred to a call center, which take a lot of notes and for the past 4 months has made invalid promises to us. The way this company treats customers is absolutely unacceptable. Kim was absolutely fantastic! I needed a power reclining loveseat urgently after my husband was immobilized in a cycling accident and has many weeks of rehab ahead of him. Ashley was the only store I could find after hours of online searching that had stock locally available and would deliver fast. Kim showed me many sofas that would be ideal for someone with a broken shoulder and leg. There was a great sale and Kim had the sofa delivered on Saturday after I placed my order Thursday night. My husband is ecstatic with the beautiful new sofa and is doing much better sitting up and lying down, and even working. Highly recommend the sofa and definitely ask for Kim! There is so much I can say, but will try to stick to the facts. Bought furniture prior to Covid and there were still delivery issues. With covid they think they have a good reason for horrible customer service, and they don't care. I was a fool to go back, furniture purchased more than 2 months ago, still haven't received it. Multiple delivery dates, zero communication within their organization, different people call with different delivery dates and nobody knows what the real deal is. Let me just start off by saying this was the second time I was in this store today. The first time I was peacefully left alone while I spoke to my sister on the phone ( this was a smart choice of mine) because the second time I brought my husband back , we got chased around by a hungry squirrel named Nancy. She wouldn't leave us alone. When we were looking at a dining room set she appeared out of nowhere and told us that was the set she has at home. It had a huge chip in it , so as I was inspecting it she told me about their warranty plan, which I am well aware of. We have 2 nightstands from Ashley's that the laminate has heavily chipped away on.. so when I mentioned that we are already dealing with that problem she barked "our stuff is good quality , so I don't know where you got that from" .. like a snob. I was contacted by the store manager regarding our box springs not coming with the first order. The person I spoke to refunded our first delivery fee as well as setup the delivery of the rest of our order. The reason I am giving them 3 stars is because the day they delivered our box springs the delivery guys said they had no order to take the previous box springs that came with the first order. They said I had to call the store.. after 20 minutes of waiting I finally gave the delivery guy the phone and had him talk to the store.. they stayed here until they sorted out the issues with the store. I had such a great experience here! It wasn't too busy, but most of the sales associates were helping customers. I was approached by John B., and I'm so glad I was! I was interested in financing so he quickly broke down the three tiers of options available and set me up at the kiosk to apply. The application process was quick, easy, and straightforward. Once we knew what kind of payment options I had available, be began looking at furniture. I gave him a breakdown of what I was interested in stylistically and number of pieces. It's rare to come across a sales professional who shoots you straight, just John was perfect. Patient, attentive, listened, honest, upfront, no BS. He was very upfront and truthful regarding the quality of various models, in no way attempted to coerce me to buy something more expensive simply to increase the sale. He was patient and tolerant of my energetic toddler tagging along and respected my space when I wanted to peruse the showroom on my own. He broke out the pricing efficiently and quickly so I knew exactly what to anticipate. Once I made my selection papers were signed and I was out the door in a ridiculously quick amount of time. I bought a sofa and recliner from this company, the sofa was delivered on time but the recliner which was due to be delivered on this coming Friday suddenly is not available until JANUARY 20th, an additional four months away. They have no product in stock, even if you attempt to order online they give you delivery dates 2-9 weeks out. Additionally the quality of the furniture is poor. To begin, I have to say that the customer service in the store was no problem, and the salespeople were friendly and helpful. However, the problems begin after the purchase. I spent $1,400 on a new mattress and bed frame on November 27th, 2019. As of today, January 26th, 2020, there has been no delivery, after I was personally guaranteed in the store that these items would not arrive any later than January 6th. The delivery date has now been postponed four times, and each time I was not consulted on what day would work best for me. I don't know how a large, national company continues to operate with this poor service. I purchase bar/pub counter barstools. They took almost 2 1/2 weeks to arrive and when I received them they were the counter height. I paid extra for the bar/pub height chairs because they were the height that I needed for my bar in my kitchen. When I tried to call and exchange I had to speak with 3 separate team members. I even live chatted someone and was told that she didn't submit the case so that I could exchange the chairs. I have spent $300 on two barstools and received THE WRONG ONES. The customer service that I have received is completely awful. Not to mention the fact that I NEVER received a call back from them in regards to exchanging my order. We ordered Dining Table and 6 chairs on Jan 30th from Clearwater location, and were promised delivery on Feb. 6th. On the 6th delivery driver showed with the chairs, and said another truck had the table and assured us he we would receive table same day. We got rid of our old table and chairs, and waited at home all day, yet did not receive our table! We tried calling to resolve this, tried going to online chat. I purchased a 5-piece dining set from Ashley's at a great price (20% off sale). The set is great quality and fits perfectly in my space. Customer service at Ashley's was also good. The 2 star rating comes because of the delivery. I was given a 9 am-1 pm window which was changed to 10:45-2 pm on the morning of the delivery. My furniture did not arrive until 4:45 pm. When I called the store no one was able to give me any information about the status of my order. When the delivery finally arrived the employees had terrible attitudes. Ashley's forced me to be home all day waiting for my furniture, making me feel like my time is not worth anything to them, especially considering the steep cost of delivery. I will be looking at doing business with other stores before considering purchasing furniture at Ashley's again. read more

I'm giving this 2 stars because I love the furniture, but the customer service leaves something to be desired. I recently purchased living room furniture, bedroom furniture, and a new mattress. My brother recently had an issue exchanging an uncomfortable mattress so I made sure to ask about an exchange policy. I was told by the sales associate that I had to keep the mattress for 30 days, but had up to 90 days to return it. This was discussed twice. I have had the mattress for around 2 months and find it's too soft. I called the store and explained I was looking for reselecting a new mattress. The sales associate told me because I didnt purchase a mattress protector from the store I couldn't return it. This was never discussed, however I explained that I did have a mattress protector on it that I purchased elsewhere. The sales associate told me that there wasnt anything he could do, but he would try to speak to his manager and he would call me back. He returns mu phone call and says they'll make an exception this time and tells me to come in Monday. I return to the store and deal with the same associate who then tells me that not all of the mattresses have a comfort guarantee (the window of time in which it can be returned). He then says that this is a new policy. So now there are 3 different reasons why I'm basically being made an exception to return my uncomfortable mattress. He is able to exchange it for a firmer one, and I called their customer service to discuss the situation. I speak to a very helpful service rep who then tells me there's actually no return policy, and it's at the managers discretion. She offers to forward my concerns to the district manager, but cant assure me I will hear back from someone. So at the end of the day I have 4 excuses as to why they couldn't fulfill their guarantee to me, and I'm not even sure I'll be able to speak to someone about it. At this point, I wouldn't return to Ashley for any future furniture purchases, and wouldn't recommend anyone to buy from there. It felt as though I was being lied to, and that once they had my money they didnt care about what happened to me or my furniture. Very disappointing and upsetting. read more

I am so immensely disappointed. I chose a sofa and love seat combo from this Ashley Furniture. They never once told us that their return policy was NON-EXISTENT. We asked about a clearance table and they specified that "because it's 'clearance' it's sold as is - no returns." I guess that rule applies to all their furniture but they don't feel the need to express that to their clients. $1800 wasted on couches that do not feel AT ALL like the floor model we sat on.
