Deeply disappointed on how this experience worked out. We were here on Tuesday to look for a new couch. As soon as we walked in, we had a sales person come up to us and introduce himself. We told him we were looking around and we'll find him if we need anything. He continued to follow us around the store, which made is very uncomfortable. I am not here to steal a couch, settle down. We eventually made a decision and we had a few questions he wasn't able to answer (is the fabric pet stains proof) and had to call someone over. I think he wasn't really understanding us, since we do not speak Spanish. Once we pointed out the couch to him and got the details we wanted, we told him we're going to walk around and find him when we are ready to check out. He followed us again and stayed within earshot of our conversation, and it felt like he was spying on us. At least have the decency to walk away further instead of making your customers feel stalked. We went to the register and every question we had, he needed help answering. Do we need to register the warranty? He said yes, the cashier said no, if you have a claim, just submit it. Can we get a delivery in the afternoon? He could not answer and was having trouble explaining the delivery system. It felt like he had earned his commission and he was ready for us to leave. We set the delivery (and paid $170 for it) for Tuesday of the following week. On Friday, we received several text messages about our delivery for Tuesday morning between 830 and 1130 am. We both work, so we asked for an afternoon delivery. They were NOT accommodating AT ALL and just cancelled the delivery and told us to schedule for another day. We decided we do not want Ashley's business and went back to the store to cancel the order and get our money back. We had to explain to 4 different staff members what it was we wanted. They offered a $200 discount, which we turned down. Salvador, our sales person from the previous encounter, was trying to tell the cashier we cannot have the delivery refunded because it was supposed to be delivered today (Friday). He forgot really quickly that he set up the delivery day for Tuesday. Eventually, we received our full refund. No wonder people shop online if they are treated this way. Multibillion dollar company is unable to schedule a delivery that works with the customer's timeline. Will never return and do not recommend. Terrible in every aspect. read more

Great experience! Recently relocated, so I was looking for many items. Was assisted by Gabriel. He was extremely helpful without being pushy. He asked me questions to ensure he understood what I needed and quickly took me to different sections of the store to show me what he thought I would like based on my answers. He even moved the furniture around so that I could better visualize furniture groupings. He also showed me things that could be ordered online that were not on the sales floor. He explained options for all items very well and even with having missed Black Friday prices, I feel that I still received a pretty good deal for everything. I was able to find furniture for my living room, dining room, and bedroom. The whole time I was there, many other sales associates passed by and they were all very friendly. I spent more time than what I thought I would at the store but I feel very happy with the end result. read more

We purchased a couch for delivery on Nov 11th. Unable to deliver on nov 20th due to weather on the scheduled delivery date so they rescheduled for 2 weeks out. That rescheduled delivery date past with NO communication... Called Ashley support and was told they are calling me back on the delivery to get a date and time. But no call back happened, so I called Ashley support again. Now they want scheduled about two weeks out to deliver again...but have no specific date or time. PLUS have RECEIVED A BILL to start PAYING on this couch and have not received it yet... Customer service/ Delivery service is HORRIBLE... When am I getting my couch and I and requesting a reduction in the price as this around has been horrible. "Zero stars from start to finish the damage is done." Ashley Furniture is a horrible place to do business in my opinion. I typically don't write a review on a company unless the service is truly bad. I would like to say when you walk into the store you are greeted within a minute as a welcoming. If I would have known that this was a facade I would have gone elsewhere. The process up to the point of sale is always hurried which is great as I could spend my time doing other things. My sales rep Arturo and possibly one of the managers want to ensure that I spent my hard-earned money (paying cash and not financing) in the El Paso Ashley store. They go through all the rundown to ensure that you will be taken care of. My delivery was scheduled between 10 am and 1 pm. I was notified by text that the driver would arrive in 30 minutes which was around 915 am. I thought no worries I can be home in time so that they could be in and out as they possibly have several deliveries scheduled. They got to my home about 5 minutes before me, but all was good in my book. They set up my entertainment center with some parts unfinished (one glass panel, and the lights were not connected) I thought that its a minor detail no need to go overboard. Later that day as I attempted to connect the lights, I noticed that one of the adapters was missing. I thought I can call them in the morning and get it resolved. To my surprise no one answered the phone all you have is three options one being to file a claim. I thought I don't need to file a claim I just need a minor detail corrected. I tried calling my sales rep directly but no answer which I ignore as I often think that he may be with another customer and will get back to me. I drive 26 miles to the store, and I am quickly greeted and disrespected. I maintain my composure and state that I did receive the delivery and that I was missing the one part. The rep quickly pointed out that I needed to call an 855 number. I stated that all I needed was the part that may have been inadvertently left on the truck. Teh rep kept trying to dismiss me, so I asked for a manager, and he states that they will only tell me the same thing. This is the part where on the inside I have to say that I will never do any business with Ashley Furniture moving forward. I will also inform all that I am close to and come into contact with that do not do business with Ashley furniture. I am one that will go out of my way when I set out to do a thing, I make sure I follow through no matter where or who asks me. I would recommend that one goes to Walmart which I am not a fan of at all to do furniture shopping as opposed to Ashley Furniture. I would also recommend shopping at the Base Exchange. So, a customer can go into the Ashley Store and spend up to $2000 cash and then get treated like trash after you make the sale. No problem, just remember how you treat your customers will show how customers will treat you. Fortunately, there are roughly 10 other furniture stores within a five-mile radius of your location. No need to reach out to me in the future to attempt to resolve the issue, I know how to solve problems on my own. I was merely trying to resolve this in a matter that would have been pleasant for all. I now know that my $2000 was well spent on a company that does not acknowledge or care about their customers. In closing, I would also like to mention in order to post this review I need to give you one star which I truly elect to give you "NO" stars at all. read more

First issue was...The salesman followed me around the store. Then when I asked him questions about the difference in the mattresses the answer I received was to lay on them to try them out. If you're gonna follow someone around the store make sure you're able to answer questions or at least go find somebody who can. Second issue and my biggest issue... after finding the bedroom set that I wanted and filling out the paperwork we discussed the deals they had running. I asked several times was he able to do the deal we discussed and he said yes every time. AFTER my credit was ran the manager came up and basically said that they couldn't do the deal that his employee had promised me. If your employee doesn't know what they're doing then they shouldn't be on the floor and the manager should've accommodated me for the inconvenience AND for running my credit based on a lie. read more

I see people have given them 1 star, well I am giving them 3 because their customer service wasn't that bad. When we came it there were a good amount of people (commission sales reps) at the front just looking for their next victim. We were greeted by a guy named Franz. He was dressed really nice and had a great personality. He told us their was a deal going on and we need to make sure we had a slip so he was going to get us one. Well he started talking to two other customers so we started looking at the furniture. About 2 minutes into looking Franz came up and gave my boyfriend the coupon. (It basically said a extra 20% off the Ashley special price...but you had to make a order by 6pm..it was 5:20pm at this point). We continued looking and we did see some beautiful items. There was one sectional couch in particular that we looked but they didn't have it in a darker color, so we passed on it. It was so comfy!! I have to also state that I love all the accents they added to each section of furniture. It was very beautiful. They even had the first dining table when you walk in set up for thanksgiving dinner! We added Franz a few questions and then we didn't see him again. For the other employees that were around...it seemed almost like a playground. They were either laughing, dancing, or just talking to eachother about stuff that had nothing to do with furniture. I didn't like the atmosphere that they employees were allowing because I want sales people that are serious about their job and a leader to correct them if they aren't staying on topic. It was more about others laughing at an employee that was being silly. I am all about having a great and fun work environment, but it's a time and place for all of it. The two ladies up front were the worst due to they were actually dancing and giggling. (One was early 30s the other had to been in her 60s...so in my opinion they know better). Since we didn't see Franz, and we didn't really see anything to tickle our fancy, we left. I would say that someone should go if they they want to look at the decor to get ideas, but other than that I am not sure what else. Some of the prices were decent but make sure you haggle a little to get a great deal because I seen a few pieces that were there at another furniture place (that was Ashley pieces) for cheaper than what they were offering. read more

I was just treated SO rudely by a salewoman there today, I can promise I will not be back. I was looking for a cheap twin mattress for my kiddo and outright told her that when I walked in. She took me back and showed me a mattress that was $489. I was honest and told her I was hoping to keep it more like under $200. She scoffed at me and said "oh that's NOT gonna happen!" Using the tone and attitude I would give my kids when they ask for ice cream after refusing to touch their dinner. I let her know that we're good then, we'll go somewhere else. She did not offer to help me find something different online (which btw is why I even went to Ashley in the 1st place- I saw Mattresses for $169), nor did she apologize for not being able to help me. For the record hun, I'm also in the market for a nice dresser and 2 nightstands for our master bedroom, so if you just assumed I was a cheapskate that you wouldn't make any commission off of, you potentially just missed out. Update: after leaving my initial review, i did magically receive all but my end tables within two weeks. The wife says everything was just as we hoped but i already left for my deployment. Honestly, the only reason i kept it at 3 stars is for the inaccurate time frame we keep getting after calling the distribution center. Im sure after delivery I will again update to 4 stars because it is quality furniture. I would still be weary if you need furniture quickly but you are going to have to wait regardless. Absolutely incompetent! I ordered a couch in Sept that was to be delivered in Nov. They call me to schedule a delivery time. I take leave and wait all day. No call or text. I called them in the late afternoon to find out the furniture has not even arrived yet. They tell me they will call me when it is ready for delivery. I purchased a desk and swivel chair at this store I also purchased insurance. Chair swivel broke tried to get fixed with insurance, got the run around for months. Went back to store and spoke to manager about it. He submitted claim in store, never heard from the company that is supposed to do repair. Contacted manager again and was told there was nothing he could do. The store would not refund $$ paid for the insurance. So I paid for insurance that would not repair the broken chair. Me and my Partner came to get tall bar stools. Christian helped us out, we specifically told him we are looking for a set of two. He showed us a pair we actually loved. We ordered them when he showed us the order the stools were counter top he told us they are tall. We reviewed the the order it was short stools went back talked to the manager the manger even told us they were tall when the screen specifically said short. Didn't mess up the order once but twice. I like this furniture store because there is a large selection of everything from sofas, recliners, dining tables, bedroom furniture, kids furniture, outside furniture, and even mattresses! Also there are a lot of representatives willing to to help you out. However, I do believe that their prices are pretty steep. Some sofa sets can run over $2500. I guess it really depends on what you are specifically looking for. I'm sure if you speak with the customer representative they can find something within your price range. read more

This has been the worse experience of my life! I hardly ever leave reviews and I wish I would have read reviews before purchasing from this store. We moved to a new home and purchased over 10,000 dollars worth of furniture in November our salesperson said it would be no more than 12 weeks and we are going on 6 months! How is this even allowed! We have been living with little to no furniture in our home Ashley's has taken the joy of being in a new home away from us. We have called numerous times for updates and it always changes. We have part of our furniture and if I'm not calling nothing gets done or we get no updates. It's like every time I call there is some sort of mishap. I wish we would have known before purchasing. we ordered a recliner for father day for my Dad. It was ordered and paid for on 6/7/2020 and has yet to be delivered. We have returned to the store x2 and called multiple times.. (They NEVER answer the phone, thus needing to go the store- they report being short staff because of COVID). They also state because of "covid" they are behind on delivery. I can understand a month, but we are going on 3 months and its getting ridiculous that we dont have what has been ordered and paid for. The manager did take off the shipping but did not do anything to expedite the process or solve the problem. The last we were told was that it would be "mid September". This is the recliner my dad requested and wants. If it was up to me I would cancel the order and never purchase from Ashley again. It's a bunch of calling and texting till I finally get a rep who then reschedules for a later day. Number 1 in WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! We have been loyal customers for the past 12 years and that ended today. We bought the warranty for our formal dining room furniture. Worst mistake ever! Our sales associate said if we don't use the warranty after 5 years, we'll get that credit back. When we went to the store and asked about our credit, the rude lady said that its been 6 years therefore we lost our credit. I asked to speak with a manager and the manager was just as rude. I explained to the manager that we were never told that the warranty had an expiration date. She looked at us and spoke to us with a "too bad so sad" attitude. I brought my love seat and sofa in March. I was told I would receive my furniture the first week of May. Then they said it would be on the second week of May. That turned into the First week of June. I finally received my furniture June 12,2015. When I received my couches I noticed my four pillows were missing. They said it will take six to eight weeks to recover them. I contacted management and all they did was refund 86 dollars out of the 3000 dollars I spent.
