On 12 Oct 2024, we purchased a recliner on clearance. Aside from normal wear and tear from being a display piece, the recliner was in relatively well maintained shape. Upon loading the recliner into the bed of my pickup truck, one of the managers (did not catch his name) that was helping to load it on, tripped over a furniture dolly and tore the corner of the recliner open. My brother and I did not notice and IF the salesman and manager noticed, they did not say anything. However, the manager was quick to have my brother sign for the recliner. Upon arriving to the house is when we noticed the damage. The salesman was called and we were informed that due to it being a clearance item, all sales were final. Also, since the warranty was declined, repairs would be at our expense. We explained that the damaged was caused by their employee and the photos were provided but it did nothing to sway them. While the salesman was personable, we are severely disappointed by the lack of integrity and dishonest business practice. We will now let the bank handle this issue since the team at this Ashley Furniture refuse to. read more

We had a bad experience at this store. We were interested in the 0% financing for 60 months, when we finally picked something out, we were told that we would not get 60 months financing at 0% unless we paid full price for the furniture. We were not happy and declined, and did financing for 24 months at 0%. The manager Mike kept saying there is a price match available if we find it somewhere less expensive, and that we were getting all the Black Friday discounts. We did not get the Black Friday discounts and specials, and when I called about a price match, he just discredited the website that was offering it, Then proceeded to tell me that if they do a price match, our financing goes down to 12 months. I called Ashley's corporate number to see if they can assist, they told me Mike would reach out again to see if anything can be done, Mike never called. The price online also included a chaise lounge, and was still less then Ashley's price with delivery. Also the people sent to put together the couch, didn't know how to, they claimed a clip was broken, we had to wait for the clip to be mailed to us, upon receiving the clip we called to have someone come over and install the new clip, and he told us nothing is broken, they just didn't set it up correctly. If you are the type of person who likes to take your time to shop on your own, do not go here. As soon as we walked in, we were approached by a salesman, which is not abnormal, but after repeatedly telling him that we'd like to walk around and that we'd let him know if we had questions/were interested in something specific, he followed us around the store and tried to sell us every item we passed. After the 4th or 5th time of us politely telling him we'd like to look on our own, we decided to leave. As we were walking out, another salesman approached us and said, "What? You like to just randomly come to furniture stores?" referring to the fact that we did not buy anything. He then watched us leave and threw his hand at us as we were driving away. Worst customer service. Delivery guy dropped off furniture and they knew they broke a piece and actually tried to screw it to fix it. We didn't notice it until they left. He was rushing us and said he has other deliveries. The place where they screwed is where he was standing. We called the delivery guy and he said call customer service and he can pick it up and hanged up right after. Didn't even give us the chance to ask for a number. We called the customer service number we found online and they couldn't find the account using the phone number, zip code or order number. They just kept saying they can't help us and call the store we ordered from. We called again and same lady picked up - her name was Dion. We called again and got a "different" person with another name but sounded the same. After going through the same verification process unsuccessfully she mentioned the store we ordered from is a flagship store and we would have to call their customer service. We called the flagship store and it felt like they were guilting us and saying it our fault and we should have taken our time. In conclusion this company is horrible and I would suggest you take your business else where. These guys don't even wear disposable shoe covers and they say they can't take their shoes off. We had a pleasant experience at Ashley's Furniture. We were able to roam around to look at the furniture without feeling the pressure of a salesperson being on your back to buy something at that minute. There were plenty of sales reps on the floor asking us if we had any questions and told us to let them know when we want to be helped. We both went there looking for a new bed frame that would last us much longer than the IKEA bed we got a year and a half ago. Once we spotted the perfect bed for us, Joe helped us with ordering the frame and split box spring. We noticed that the price online for the frame was much cheaper online and their store does honor match pricing from the corporate website. Joe also help us set up with financing, so we didn't have to pay for the full amount of the items day of. All we needed to do was pay for the delivery and assembly fees and pay the rest in a few months to avoid interest. There was no minimum amount for the financing either unlike Raymour and Flanagan who wanted you to drop over $7000 before having the option of financing without interest. The delivery and assembly team also did a great job putting our bed together. Very professional and they even put our mattress on top after the assembly. read more

Wish I could give negative stars!! BUYER BEWARE!!! I posted a negative review 11 months ago in regards to a sectional I purchased. First, Ashley never notified me that my order was not in, then they delivered 2 different colors of my couch. After months of delays when I received my order almost every piece of furniture had minor damage which was repaired. However, in regards to my sectional the delivery men damaged the footrest. They "promised" to repair it otherwise I would have refused delivery!!! After my negative review in November a gentleman by the name of Austin who represents Ashley responded to my review & stated that "it is our goal to resolve these concerns to our guest's satisfaction as quickly as possible"!! At first, I really thought this was going to be resolved! However, it took over 6 months to receive the parts needed which they had already had sent me twice-don't they keep track??? I told them I had kept all the parts including the 2 pieces of leather which were ripped-don't they inspect what they send??? Then the ktechnician made the footrest WORSE!!! Once again I reached back out to Ashley & they are blatantly refusing to repair it!! I've tried going through the extended warranty which is a joke! They are absolutely horrible! I was notified they had no paperwork on my extended warranty. They have consumers file a claim on line & when you are done with the submission you receive a notification that they will be in touch within 48 hours which no one responded. I phoned them back again & they advised they need more info which again I submitted online. Once again you are notified that someone will be in touch with on 48 hours! Crickets!!! I couldn't agree with the bad customer service at this store. The same salesperson James never cancelled my order until I had to call corporate to make a note if it two weeks later. Jim swore he would take care if this but did nothing. Then after numerous unanswered call and unanswered texts Corporate said they couldn't refund me and advised me to go into the store directly because they also couldn't get an answer from the store or a returned email. It's odd that this store can just ignore corporate calls. If I can give them one star I would. Do not... do not even think about going to this god forsaken place. From their sly business guys to their rude support staff- they will do nothing it aggravate you. We ordered early November, was told "wow lucky you- these are in stock and will be delivered in December"- fast forward to December, now it's back ordered till January, nobody calls me- I call them... guess what!! Back ordered till February... here we are in February and I call them, again- they don't call me to tell me it's now March! All the meanwhile the sleazy sale guy forced our hand into taking partial delivery so he can get his commission. Since we took his advice on partial delivery, we found out we can not return or refuse at this point... and this guy has not spoken to use since he got his check. There is no phone number to reach the store directly, so when you call the number- it's just service people, giving you what they know and that is nothing!! Nobody is looking to help, nobody cares about you. Spend nearly 10k with this "business" and rest assured I will never do that again, nor will anyone who will listen to me. If you want to save any sort of dignity you may have, trying looking at your reviews, and do something about it!!! I loved doing business with Ashley furniture. The salesman was friendly and spent a lot of time with us to get to know me and find exactly what I wanted and needed. The delivery guys were prompt, worked quickly and put all the furniture where it needed to be. Customer service was efficient, explained everything to me and notified me by email and text exactly what pieces were coming and when the were coming. They gave me a 4 hour window of time and they were there within an hour. Took an hour to set up my whole bedroom and carried away the empty boxes and packing. Great service! read more

Ashley's customer service leaves much to be desired. I purchased a 7 piece dining set and server which is falling apart in 3 months. Multiple attempts to get satisfaction have gone no where. Their record keeping is horrendous and follow through with customer service is practically non-exsistent. If you don't like their solution they close your claim It is impossible to speak with anyone who is above the customer care supervisor. If you have not ordered from them, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. If I was able to give them no stars, that would be my rating. read more

I don't even know where to begin with this review. I gave them one star but if there were zero stars they would get it. I have bought furniture from Bob's and Raymour in the past and never had the experience I am having with this company. It started because my nephew bought furniture from Ashley and said to me why don't i go see what they have. I went to the store in Farmingdale Long Island and Purchase A dining table, 6 chairs a buffet server, sofa and love seat ( this one) end table. I spent almost 5000 dollars. When the stuff comes in every single piece had a problem with it. I know your suppose to check everything which I did but the problems with the furniture were well hidden until I really started to look at it. Starting with the dining room chairs, they came pre made and wrapped. The delivery guys put them under the table in their spots so to the eye nothing looks wrong until i went to sit in them. Two of the chairs were not fully screwed in and the screws were stripped. So much that the chairs just wobbled when you went to move them. They had to know you couldn't sit on them. Then the shelves on each side of the server were put in place so nothing looks wrong or out of place until you go to put something on them and then both shelves collapsed. It turns out the side clips don't fit in the holes properly. If you go to put them in they just fall out. so once again to the eye it looks fine but the concerning part is the delivery guys set that up. they knew they didn't fit properly yet they set it up so that after they were gone and you go to use the shelf it collapses. The the best of this is the sofa. When i inspected the sofa to the eye you can't see anything wrong but when i looked closer the center support leg was off the floor as I get closer I push on the leg and it is just folding under the couch. When i reach my hand under you can feel the wood is broken. Once again they screwed the leg in so he had to know that the wood underneath is broken. Then i notice a pull in the material on the threading which they tucked in the seat which you would have never seen until you moved the cushion which I did and found. So as a new customer of Ashley and on my first delivery there are all these problems but the best is yet to come. Once I noticed the issues which was about a half hour after the delivery guys have left i called customer care right away to tell them what was going on. As a matter of fact i was the first caller of the day. When customer care gets on the phone they wouldn't even discuss my situation unless i found all the serial numbers on the products took pictures and videos of what the problems were. I spent an hour doing this just so they would talk to me. Then they proceed to tell me that they can't replace the items but would send parts and get a service tech to come out and try to fix the problems. they it could take up to 10 days then after the parts come I can schedule the tech to come in. I was like why should I have to wait almost two weeks on brand new products and have someone fix something that I never even used before. They said it is the policy of Ashley's that the salesman should tell the buyer that they can't replace broken new furniture that comes in. I have never heard of this ever in my life. They told me to go back to the store which i did twice and all you get is we are looking into it and we will call you back and no one ever does. It is the biggest con game I have ever seen. I should have read the reviews that are posted over social media before I spent my hard earned money their. They keep going back to well you should have looked at everything before they delivery guys left, and I keep telling them they hid the issues so well you couldn't tell any of these issues by looking at the products. I told them just replace the 2 chairs and the sofa and fix the shelves on the buffet server and call it a day and then i was told by a customer service manager we don't do that. It is a policy of Ashley not to replace but to fix the broken (brand new) products. This is total unacceptable for a furniture company like this to act in this manner. My first stop when furniture shopping and I'm happy to say I didn't need to explore any other stores. I loved that I was not attacked the minute I walked through the door. My boyfriend and I was able to look around on our own first. We fell in love with a couch and I was curious if they had a matching ottoman. Close by to answer our question was Anthony. He pulled up the matching ottoman right on his tablet and let me look at it before making our decision. I was nervous on the price he would quote us. But I was surprise to see it was even less than I saw online. He even said the pillows which had zip off cases were included. I loved that idea because I like to change the look of the living room every now and than. We did add the warranty on to the couch because it does cover a wide variety of issues. I'm hoping it was worth the money if we ever need to use it and fix issues that they claim to fix. Being the couch purchase went so smoothly I decided to look at a bedroom set as well. We loved a brown barn door style bed. It seems to be made very well. The dresser seemed stable. We also purchased two night stands which have a lot of storage and room in them. I'm hoping once we start to use everything it will hold up like I think it should. I loved that I had flexibility when picking a delivery date. They also delivery and will put it together for one fee which was great. Connie finished our purchase and was so friendly and sweet. We walked into Ashley Furniture simply to find out some information on a previously purchased mattress by a family member. The plan was not to shop there until we met Tevin Quirk. He was personable and professional. We have encountered many salespeople in our days so when we come across a good one we hold on to him and Tevin fits the bill. He was knowledgeable but not pushy which I love. When it came up in conversation about how our family members encountered some problems with warranties, Tevin provided his contact info and was willing to be the point person to make sure that they were taken care of. That is the sign of a consummate professional. Things changed and we didn't just walk in to gather info but we made a purchase and that would be because of the salesman, Tevin Quirk. I was in need of a recliner or loveseat since I just moved and my full sized couch was not fitting. I already have a loveseat so I decided to get a second one. The service I got in the store was incredible. There was no pressure or hounding to buy, which I loved. I told them I wanted to hit a few more stores and I'd make my decision. After looking around, it was a no brainer to go with Ashley. First because they had my item in stock and I could get it in less than a week, other Furniture stores were weeks to months out. Second, the service which I mentioned. In store and delivery. Both were top notch. And lastly, the Ashley Store card with one year interest free payments. All in all a win. Please do not go here! It's a huge rip off and it's all lies. They seem very nice at first but you will regret it. My wife and I first went into the store to purchase items to furnish our new home. Didn't seem that much reps wanted to help us. Was it cause we were young? Did they think we could not afford the products and be a waste of their time? I did spend an amount I would use to purchase a car... maybe that changed their views finally on us? Anyways, we ended up getting stuck with a fellow named James. He was completely useless. I had to go online and tell him what the prices were. He could barely keep up with us while we were browsing the store. He told us to just go browse and tell us what we like. Useless again- and seems like a easy commission for him. Finally after going back and forth few weeks of deciding what we wanted we decided to pull the trigger and make the purchase. Not because of James but because we liked the products we saw. We agreed to the 5yr financing and he made it well aware it would be 5 years. After receiving the products we got the statement and it reflected only 1 year. I reached out to James and he stated it was a mistake and he would fix it. After weeks and months of going back and forth, still no update and we made 2 payments already for the 1 year finance. James now is no where to be found. He is no longer answering calls or replying to text messages. We are close to approaching our 3rd payment now and we decided to take it further. We got in touch with corporate and they said you need to reach out to James- our sales guy. I made them aware we cannot get in touch with him any more. They gave us the store number and said to reach out. I spoke with a woman- forgot her name but she seemed to have taken care of the issue within 20 mins. She did state that she reached out to James and he picked up stating " I meant to tell them it was 1 year" - meanwhile I have text messages and a contract with James stating our terms are 5 years and he would make sure it's 5 years. Why is James now lying??? Trying to pull a quick one? Finally our new statement now reflects the correct financing terms. Once the issue was resolved, James finally decides to call back and stay "oh hey, I see you finally got the issue resolved" Really??? Please get rid of this useless person. He's a joke and is bringing down the value of your establishment. I can only reflect on James because he's the only one I dealt with. Farmingdale store: Our salesman was wonderful. Nothing against him. However for a set that was 3k we purchased the protection plan. Our furniture came defective. The dresser drawer. You would think since it came that way we would be able to exchange the entire thing. Nope once it's in the house you have to use the plan. Well that in itself takes forever took us 5-6 months to get the replacement parts and then they need to send a tech to repair. Now we have the king sized storage panel bed. Nothing but sheets go in the storage section. Well let me tell you there was a bolt thread missing upon assembly which their assembly guy failed to tell us. Yeah we signed for it but he didn't fully do his job telling us it was defective from the beginning. So now the drawer is practically falling out and down. Part of the veneer is also peeling.... the set isn't even a year old. It's not like we have kids climbing all over it. Their customer service is horrible. They won't let us exchange the bed frame for another type. If they are going to sell you garbage then they should stand by their product. I won't ever shop here again bc of their lack of returns exchange policy. They have the mentally sorry you signed for your stuck with it. Maybe they need to revamp their "policy". We'd be willing to pay to have it shipped can't they use our old frame as a floor model in some store??? I won't ever be shopping again bc they care about making their customers happy. If my husband we're to build the bed frame himself he would have seen this problem from the get go, but it was against their "policy" to let the customer build it itself. read more

By far the most unprofessional store I've ever dealt with. We ordered our furniture back in October for our new apartment. The move in date was December 1st and we were going to receive half of our pieces that day, including our bed set. We ended up being delivered the wrong bed. No compensation was received and they just told us what we wanted to hear. Long story short, we spent 4000 dollars at this store including a living room set and bed room set. Fast forward to date and we have only received two end tables. We are coming up on 6 months and have had our dates pushed back every single month up till now. I understand the time we are in and everything to do with shipping, but that doesn't mean we needed to be lied to every single time we spoke to someone from Ashley Furniture. Can't wait to get our refund tomorrow and be forever done with them.
