Of nearly ten stores, The Bedroom Source's service and selection stood out, as there was no rush or pressure and plenty of high quality curated furniture to choose from. Unlike other stores, the employees here were more consultative. We found an option we really liked and Kelly helped walk us through the process and expected delivery. She gave us great personalized service and was very communicative throughout the whole process. In the end, the recliner was delivered even sooner than original anticipated, and we are very satisfied with the quality. Even the delivery experience was positive -- I'd never seen such an upbeat delivery driver. In a world of big box stores and cheap products, The Bedroom Source is a great reminder that shopping at a local family business can give you a great product with a great experience and a great price. My recliner was delivered with an unusual odor that I initially thought was a "new furniture" smell. The odor grew stronger throughout the day, and I later noticed it had a chemical quality. By the following morning, the odor was causing a headache, and I was not comfortable using the chair. The odor also transferred to a pillow placed on the chair. I reported the issue within 24 hours of delivery. I was disappointed that, for a premium custom furniture purchase, the initial solution was to "air it out" and that it could not be returned because it was custom. Although the chair was ultimately returned, Ethan Allen retained more than 1/3 of the total purchase price. I agreed to return the chair, but I did not agree that the partial refund was a final resolution. I asked to speak to someone else about the remaining amount and was told by the store manager that no one else could offer a different resolution. I then called customer service and was told a district manager would call me within 48 hours, but I never received a call. When I did not receive a call, I followed up again 48 hours later but still did not receive a callback. After many years of positive experiences with Ethan Allen, I am very disappointed with how this situation was handled. Given this experience, I will not be shopping with Ethan Allen in the future.

Instead of taking real accountability, we were told there was only a '50/50 chance' of fixing it and that we might need to deal with a duplicate charge, essentially holding two charges at once, until the right bed was ready. A duplicate charge for a mistake that was not ours is not a solution. It is unfair and unacceptable, and now we'll have to wait at least an additional month for the correct bed to be delivered. This was not our mistake, yet the options presented still left us facing extra charges and unnecessary stress while this Macy's location avoided taking responsibility for its negligence. The way this store handled the situation showed careless customer service. They brushed off their own mistake instead of taking it seriously or being proactive, which forced us to escalate to another employee. We trusted Macy's because of its name, but this experience proved that reputation means nothing without real customer care. I wish I had looked at the Yelp reviews beforehand because it is clear my experience is not the only one like this. If you expect accountability or reliable customer service, look to another nearby furniture store in the area. Responsibility is simply not a part of how this Macy's location operates.

He worked with us on financing and not only did we walk out with barstools but also a new desk chair! Scheduling delivery was super easy - got a call and then a reminder with when they were coming. When the chairs got delivered there was some scratches on them and when I reached back out to the store they were super helpful and gave me the number for customer service. Now I was dreading this because we've all had bad customer Service experiences but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they handled the whole process over text message and it was simple and efficient. Bay also reached back out to me to confirm if I was set up with a case from customer service and he even offered to do it for me if I had an already done it myself which I really appreciate it. The customer service department was so friendly and very willing to work with me on what they thought would be the best solution for the scratches that were on the chairs that I had received all in all I was able to resolve my issue within 24 hours and I can honestly say it's by far the best customer experience I've ever had with the store as well!
