I am having a horrible experience with Ashley Furniture customer service. We recently moved into our first home and purchased couches from Ashley's. The delivery experience was terrible! Our estimated time for delivery was 8am-11am and the delivery people showed up at 6:45am. They were very rough with the couch and broke my flooring. They tried to hide it from me too. They dragged the couch downstairs scratching my brand new wood floors. And to top it off they pushed the couch all the way up against the wall to hide the damage that was on the back of the couch, which should've never been put against the wall since it's a power reclining couch. I did not notice the damage until I moved the couch an hour later to vacuum. I immediately called the customer service and let them know about the damage. I sent them pictures and the person Pat over the phone told me a new couch would be delivered to me. He never called me back that day and the next day someone else named Neal called me and was very rude to me about the situation. We got the couch delivered Feb 8th and we are still trying to settle this. None of the managers are calling us back and it's unacceptable. They are trying to send a repair tech mid March to fix the damage which is not fixable. The material is ripped with the metal piece of the frame sticking out. This is over $1000 couch and should look up to showroom standards. We should be getting a brand new couch instead of attempting to repair something that cannot be repaired. This is horrible customer service and I will never get furniture from them again. I've been telling our friends who are becoming first time home buyers to not buy from ashely furniture as well!! read more

Purchased a kitchen table and chair set on 3/17/19 and was delivered defective. Upon many phone calls an exchange was agreed upon. That exchange occurred on4/3/19 and the furniture once again was defective. Horrendous Customer service, and this store is not selling quality merchandise. This sale occurred at the Farmingdale N.Y. Ashely Home Store. In many of our conversations we have learned this Furniture store is privately owned and not part of the Ashley franchise, which during the sale they do not inform you of. I bought furniture at this store about three months ago. Salesman was very nice. Issues happened upon delivery. Delivery truck was beat up and didn't say Ashley on it. Delivery men couldn't drop off my furniture quick enough. They were out of there in a matter of minutes. After they left I realized the hardware was missing for the console. They didn't put anything together unlike Raymour and Flanagan which couldn't do enough for me. I called customer service and they ordered the parts I was missing. The wrong parts arrived. They asked me to take pictures, which I did. I explained that all I needed was two one inch screws. I sent them pictures of both the wrong screws and the right screws. They sent me another package of the wrong parts again. I went to the store and the woman at the front desk was very helpful. She called up the piece and ordered the correct part. The correct part arrived today but I needed two and only received one. I called the store and no one could help me. I will have to go to the store again to try to get this fixed after three months of trying. I wIll never buy anything from Ashley again. read more

Prior to all this quarantine nonsense going on we went shopping for a new bedroom set and couch for the living room. We went in there is a struck budget to stick by and also had knew we wanted certain things like two night stands for the bed room and an ottoman to go with the couch. Anthony was very helpful and gave us enough space but was always within wars distance for if we had any questions. We had found a couch we liked first but instead of an ottoman on display it had a huge beautiful table to match. Anthony was able to pull up the ottoman that went it's the couch and was able to get the set down to a reasonable price which we where happy with. Next was the hard part. After about 20 minutes of walking around we where able to decide on a bedroom set. Anthony once again came over and worked his magic tapping away in his iPad and untimely we got everything we wanted for a reasonable price that we where happy with. For the couch we also purchased a 10 year warranty which covers all stains and rips aside from animal claws or chew marks. We where not yet moved into our apartment yet so we were able to set a delivery date 3 weeks away. The delivery people called on their way giving us enough time to drive over and had everything set up within an hour. I was very happy with every part of this purchase and how professional and nice every part of this experience was. read more

Back in early November we purchased a leather couch and ottoman/chair and a half at the Ashley store in Farmingdale. The salesman (Michael Roig) told us he did not have a business card however he said he would be emailing us his contact information. We were told to call him if we had any questions/concerns including any delivery issues. We never received his contact information. Our furniture was delivered a week later and after the delivery men left, we noticed a small rip in the ottoman and on the chair. We called the store however all calls get bounced to a call center in New Jersey. I was told to follow the instructions in an email that I would receive and to send a bunch of pictures. I did this as instructed and when I followed up a few days later they said they never received the pictures. I resent them and when I followed up I was told that they had received them and they would be in touch. A week later Ashley calls to say that since they haven't received the pictures they were closing out the account. I sent the pictures a 3rd time and this time they again confirmed receipt. A week later I received in the mail 2 large pieces of leather which are to replace the damaged areas. I called for an appointment and the earliest I could get was in 4 weeks (12/31). I was told by Ashley I would receive a call 2 days prior confirming a time. The only message I received was last night at 6:19 from J&M furniture repair cancelling without any reason my appointment for today. I called them back last night and today and I have not heard back from them. I will never step foot in an Ashley store again. Avoid this place if you can. Horrible customer service read more

As we walked in we were accosted by one of the sales persons. We said we were just looking around as we had been to an Ashley Homestore in Albemarle, NC the day prior and wanted to revisit some of our design choices. This salesperson was slick informing us that there were no names to the collections (Baldfaced lie). We knew but we were looking for and started to search but he was like a stalker and kept trying to pressure us into other items. He produced a tablet with other tables for us to look at and there was the set we wanted (with a name on it). Oh well yeah that is different. Then tried to pressure us by saying it was the holidays and you should be buying. We said multiple times we were just looking. This guy left a sincerely bad taste in our mouth. Never, ever, ever buy furniture from this company. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I ordered a bed from them, and after several delays, was finally delivered. After the delivery guys leave, I notice the headboard is not assembled properly - there is a huge gap between the pieces. When I tried laying on the bed, it squeaked with ANY movement - it would wake my wife and I up at night. There was clearly a problem in manufacturing or with assembly. I called Ashley more than 5 times. The first time I was told someone would contact me about the issue, I never heard anything. The second time I was on hold 60 minutes before they hung up. The customer service reps are rude. I still have a defective bed with no sign that problem will be fixed. Avoid Ashley at any cost. read more

The salesman was great selling me my furniture, over 10,000 dollars worth, but when I had problems with a piece of furniture, Ashley would not stand by their product. The paint topcoat of a nightstand that I purchased began to peel off two weeks after I purchased it. They are claiming that it was caused by spilled water, based on a picture, yet I did not spill water on it and even if I had, the paint should not have completely peeled off the entire dresser. I have since put in a small claims report and will let a judge decide, but I will never shop in Ashley again, nor will I recommend anyone to shop their either. read more

I'm going to start off by saying I legitimately never write reviews but I'm so disgusted by the way Ashleys in Farmingdale and customer service over the phone has handled business so I need to write this review. Bottom line is please be careful and don't go here to make purchases. I don't loosely throw this word around but these people and this business is a total scam. Once they have your money, they don't care what happens to it or your order. I went in to Ashleys, Farmingdale towards the end of October and purchased 2 couches, a bed, a console table with a mirror, and some decorative pillows. The pillows were supposed to be be a store pick up on October 30th but never showed up. I went in 2 weeks later to pick it up and no one knew where the pillows were including the associate manager. The sales person that placed my order was Jim who also goes by the name of James and he wasn't there the first time I went to pick up the pillows. I went a second time and he wasn't there again. I called him several times and texted him, he never answered. I finally got a hold of him and he said that he doesn't know why they never came in but he placed another order and they should be here in a week. They never came in so I went inside the store and cancelled. Same thing for the console/mirror. That never came in so I canceled. Here's the kicker: I financed for 6 months with $0 interest as long as you pay within the 6 months. I got my first bill a few weeks ago and both of the couches they sold me and the bed was billed to me higher than what the store sold it to me for. I have a print out of what they sold it to me for so I called Synchrony, which is the bank charging. They said they can't do anything so I need to go to the store. I went to the store and Jim the salesman was there this time and he looked at the bill and saw that it was higher than what they sold the items to me for. So he said he would call Synchrony and figure it out. We waited in the parking lot for 30 mins and we come back and he says their account manager comes in on Friday (after thanksgiving) and they will have to call and adjust it instead because Synchrony needs a new breakdown. He said there's no need to come back into the store and that they will update us. It's now been almost 3 weeks and Jim doesn't pick up or answer his text messages which means I'll have to drive myself back to the store and haggle all over again all because these people just couldn't do their jobs right. They don't know how to communicate and they straight up lie to you. It's crazy how they can sell you something for one price but it's a total different price when the bill comes in and then magically now don't know how to fix it. But it was extremely easy to mess up the first time around and charge for something they shouldn't have. Sadly, they're beating around the bush to rectify it and I don't have time for that. Idc how badly I need something again, I won't be bringing my business here. I would strongly avoid this place and if you do end up here, please be careful and get things in writing! read more

I purchased a wall unit back in October and took out the extended warranty to go with it I payed a lot of money for both. I noticed a chip in the unit back on 1/2 so I called right away they asked me to send pictures of the damage unit which I did within the hour, got nothing but the run around for weeks finally got through to the salesman on Wednesday and he promised me I would get a new piece on Friday no one showed up no phone call no nothing it's a disgrace how they treat there customer but it's not over yet I'm going to have to go to the store and put on a scene maybe then I'll get results. So I purchased a bedroom set for my daughter. The sales guy was great in the farmingdale store. The delivery came. It was 100 degrees out. The unloaded everything brought it upstairs and it was missing parts so they couldn't put the bed together. They called put me on the phone she asked if they sh could leave everything and set up another time. I said no I did t need a bed in pieces bad enough we got rid of her set to make room for the new set. 2 weeks later they come again. I tell the delivery guys what happened so they should check to make sure everything was there so they don't have to pack it all up again in 100 degree weather. He did and it was damaged. So back it goes. Still no call from the store. Now I have wasted all this time to wait for deliveries. Again I talk to the women on the phone she assures me that Anthony from farmingdale was gonna get back to me. I wanted my 150$ delivery fee back. Well it came today 3rd time is a charm finally it's here and ok. I guess u get what u pay for. Everything started off well. Went into the store dealt with a salesman named Dennis. He seemed trustworthy gave us a pretty good deal then came delivery time. Received a delivery window between 12:15-4:15pm. Furniture didn't show up until 6:15pm causing me to miss work. Delivery men were unapologetic and very rude. Furniture was also damaged so I sent everything back with the delivery men. Called my salesman Dennis and told him how dissatisfied I was and that I was considering cancelling the whole order. He pleaded with me not to and to reschedule delivery and that he would call me the next day and would "take care of me." Trusting him, i rescheduled the delivery and awaited his call. Delivery came and unfortunately i couldnt take off of work again so i had a family member wait at my house for delivery all the time not hearing back from Dennis. I got home from work as the delivery men were pulling away, inspected the furniture and discovered a couple scuff marks and a small nail sticking out of the back of my brand new sopha. Called Dennis again who had still never gotten back to me and explained the situation. He told me there's not much he can do after delivery was made and i would have to go through customer care. Customer care would not send me a new sofa, instead they said they would send out a repairman in a few days to fix it. Contacted Dennis yet again and told him what he did wasnt right. He told me to contact him again the next day and he would work something out. Contacted him the next day and once again did not receive a reply or call back. Terrible customer service, rude delivery men, and damaged furniture. Will never go back. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. If could give this store zero stars I would. I had an easy time getting a price match in store and setting up everything for financing. I ordered a bed frame with storage which was set for delivery and assembly. The delivery guys assembled my bed and there was a language barrier so we couldn't communicate well. Basically, I was sent a bedframe that was supposed to be for a boxspring. I specifically ordered his bed because I was told I would not need a box spring, but I would need the wooden roll slats, which came with the bed. I would not have to order any extra pieces. I was told by the person on the phone which is from the headquarters that the wooden slats aren't even included even though it's very clearly stated in the description online. I then called the store who told me yes, I should have the wooden slats and they made me come and pick them up. I pick them up and then took them home, and realized that the slats would not work with this bedframe. I called the person who sold me the bed at the store, and they had told me that they were doing ME a FAVOR by reordering the right bed rails for my bed and that they should be delivered and assembled the next day. Today the new rails were assembled and the wooden slats did not fit. I called the store who gave me the slats yesterday and they said that since the worker and his manager who dealt with me yesterday weren't there, that I could not be helped today. Mind you I've had to sleep at a friends house on the floor because my room is not big enough to have both the mattress and the bedframe laying down at the same time, so I couldn't even sleep on the floor of my own place. I took off work today to to be home for the second delivery even though there should've never been a second delivery. I have lost hundreds of dollars of money from taking off work today and yesterday, and having to go to the store yesterday to assemble something even though I paid for assembly. The headquarters has been snooty and keep you on hold for 30 minutes at a time. I've even contacted Ashley HomeStore on Twitter who has done nothing but "forwarded my information to the appropriate people." The only person who tried to help was the assembly worker who tried calling headquarters himself and headquarters told him that I have to deal with the store that gave me the slats. read more

I will not recommend Ashley furniture to anyone at this point, not because of the product, but because of the extremely poor delivery and customer service experience. Our couch was damaged during delivery and not discovered until after the delivery team rushed out without the opportunity to test the couch and ask questions, as stated in Ashley's acceptance of delivery documentation. After contacting Ashley's customer care line and providing the requested pictures of damage, serial number, etc, the Ashley representative proceeded to order the incorrect part for our couch, which wasn't discovered until a week later when the technician arrived to fix the issue. That was a week and a half ago. I just got off the phone with Ashley customer care to check on the status of our claim and was told they are still waiting for the technician's report. At this point we have had a broken couch for nearly three weeks with no estimate on when we can expect the couch we actually purchased. Very poor customer experience. read more
