not disability friendly at all....... we tried to purchase a over sized recliner from this location for an individual that has ms and does not have the ability to go here. we picked the recliner out on line and they told us we would have to still come in to order this item. i am the personal assistant to this person and i went to obtain this recliner. soon as we hit the door we were quoted one price of 618.00 which i thought was good since we looked at the tag and it said 742.00. we mentioned the online price was 649.00 and they said no problem it was still 618.00. we then went to write up the invoice and now it was over 800.00. and i asked what is up with this? he said he would have to get a manager to make this change. i waited and waited then went to the back t\counter and the store manager was sitting on his ass talking to a sales person about a pet. i asserted my self to get the manager to find my sales guy that disappeared and behold he appears from the back room with out the agreed price. i asked him what was up with that and he said i had to buy 2 or more items to get that price. i showed him there was nothing on any of the tags anywhere that mentioned this. he then pulls a paper off of the table behind the counter that shows a 48% discount if you buy 2 items..........how convenient that was. i agreed to the middle price and they said they would do it. i then get ready to check out and complete the order and they said they do not take the ashley furniture card that has ashley furniture on it and we called the card company and they said they better take it its our card and you have more than enough on the card to purchase it. they said they had to have the person with the disability to come in and sign paperwork to complete the deal. i told them again she had ms and was unable to do so that all they had to do was call her for any verification that they needed. they once again refused to even attempt to work with us on anything in this matter. the lady has been a customer of ashley for over 2 decades and now i can honestly say she is fed up with the run around and game playing that they do. if you are disabled in anyway or a veteran that needs a special company to work with you........don't go here.. you will be very disappointed. read more

Customer service, is great. Chris did a great job helping us pick out furniture and even gave us space to look on our own. We came back a few times because we were indecisive and every time he was a great help. He spent hours with us, and was willing and very helpful. We finally ended up picking out our furniture and he was great at doing his job and getting us checked out and delivery set up. Will definitely be back in the future. read more

This review does not pertain to the furniture itself, the store, or the prices. Instead, it will focus strictly on the customer service (Or lack thereof) I received on my most recent purchase. I purchased an entertainment center during the Memorial Day sale (15% off, this discount so far has been the only positive experience during this trip). To start off, my salesperson was extremely rude and talked incessantly. She only had negative things to say about the store and the managers, and then had the nerve to get me to try to talk her up to her managers if they asked about her performance. Additionally, she went on and on about her pay and how much she makes annually, and then added how much commission she was set to make on my sale. In my opinion, these are things that salespeople should not be discussing with customers. Next, despite the horrendous job by the salesperson, I decided to purchase the entertainment center. I work M-F, 7-5; so I brought my truck and had planned on taking it with me that night. However, I was quickly swayed to choose the delivery and setup option when told that I could choose a four hour window that fit my schedule, and that they delivered until 8PM. For $100 they would deliver and setup the furniture - I was sold; I thought the $100 was worth just the setup itself. I was told I would be contacted the next day (Tuesday) to setup delivery and that I could most likely have the furniture the day following (Wednesday). Tuesday came and went with no phone call, I brushed it off and figured they'd had lots of calls to make due to the sale and they were probably busy scheduling - I wasn't angry, but upset that I had been told that something would happen when it did not. Wednesday comes and I receive a phone call in the morning to schedule pickup. I was first told that the earliest day they could deliver would be Friday (Definitely not the Wednesday I had been told during the purchase) and that I couldn't specify a deliver window like I had been told. Now I was angry. I explained in detail how I was told that I could specify a four hour window in the evening (Up to 8PM) so that I could have the furniture delivered when I was home, but the scheduler kept telling me that I could not. I was told that they only deliver up until early afternoon and that they would call me and tell me what my window was on the day I chose. I was very frustrated by this and asked to speak to a manager, and finally did after about 5 minutes on hold. I ran her through my issues and she basically said that I could either pick it up myself and receive a refund in 14 business days on the $100 I had already spent, or deal with it and make their system work. I told her that I couldn't pick it up due to the fact that I already made a special trip to the furniture store and I didn't plan on going back (Especially after this) anytime soon. I then added that I may just return the whole thing due to my frustration and then was told that wasn't an option either because the 24 hr window for cancellation had already passed (If I had been called the day I was supposed to have been and this would have gone down I would have cancelled). I did not want to pay an outrageous restocking fee (For something that was still at their facility no less) so I was forced to have to schedule for a Saturday and change my previous plans - all so I can sit around and wait on a four hour window for furniture that should have been delivered days before at a time that was convenient for me. Bottom Line - The salespeople will tell lies to you to get you to spend more money on services they don't provide so they can bump up their commissions. When confronted about this, they give you a pay more money or deal with it ultimatum. Managers were just as rude and unknowledgeable as everyone else and will give you conflicting information contrary to what someone else just told you. They will put you on hold for excessive amounts of time and treat you very badly and basically call you a liar. I don't know if all branches operate in this way, but I am certain I will never being going back to this one and will be hesitant to ever visit another Ashley in the future. read more

It's a shame, really. My sales lady was excellent but the lack of training for shipment information has me so upset. First of all you wait 2 weeks to get what you ordered, ok no biggy and by the way you spend 99$ for delivery. Well when I ordered the table and bedroom things I asked when this would be delivered or if a certain time frame during the week and my sales associate said they will call and it's not a problem they will work with you on the delivery.. NOT, that does not happen at all! The delivery team told me only would deliver one day during the week and on a certain day of the week, with no exceptions. This is ridiculous and although I do understand it would have to be when could fit you in but seriously offering ONE day only to deliver something that you paid 99 dollars for delivery? Sooo I have to take off work in the middle of the week to have this expensive furniture delivered to me. I just feel they could be a little more accommodating to their customers needs. Ashley Furniture needs to train there sales people to have knowledge to be upfront about delivery times and schedules. Even when they don't know of the certain day it will be delivered at least know that the area delivering will be on a certain day of the week. This will help customers arrange around schedules and such. The problem is that they don't, and really don't even bother calling and complaining or letting them know this is an issue because really, they just don't care. I will never purchase another thing from them and will never recommend anything to them. Sooo sad because I believe that the customer is right and you do whatever you can to make them happy. After all the customer is purchasing a service from you! Be upfront and honest about everything and you can never go wrong. Well with them that is def not the case!!! read more

I recently moved and needed desperately to get a few necessity pieces. I looked at a few places and read reviews on their merchandise. As I was already pretty familiar with Ashley Furniture, I decided to see what would be available there. My salesperson, Jessica, was professional, informative and VERY helpful in the selection of items. I told her the basics of what I was looking for and she instantly started showing me a few really nice choices. I decided to go with the black Shay Queen poster bed as I really loved it's simple, modern look. Jessica got my order together and informed me of all necessary information concerning my merchandise and all purchasing options. She also provided me with a time frame of when it would be arriving. To my surprise, my bed ended up arriving early and I got a call that it would be available for delivery that coming weekend! I scheduled my delivery with the delivery department and they made sure to email me confirmation of everything that had been discussed. When the day came for my bed to be delivered I got a call from the delivery drivers just as I had been informed I would within the timeframe given. Those poor gentlemen had to walk up 3 flights of stairs in this Texas heat to bring all bed pieces, mattress and boxspring up and they did so with pleasure. They were very kind and pleasant and made sure I was happy with everything before they left. I have had my bed now for almost 2 weeks and I love the look of it as well as how comfortably it sleeps. Overall, I have to say I received great service all around. I honestly expected no less. Thank you to all who assisted and I will definitely be purchasing more items from Ashley for my furniture needs in the future! read more

We found a group of Cross Island living room furniture. We brought the online ads we located for the end tables, bookcases, and console table to the store. We paid up front in November and the furniture was delivered a month later. It was already assembled. The day before yesterday our cat knocked over a vase with a dozen roses over on the console table. Water pooled on one end of the top of the table and also spilled down to the bottom shelf. As we mopped up the spill we saw that the veneer finish had already bubbled terribly on both shelves. We believed that the veneer could not have been sealed correctly for that damage to occur so quickly. Customer service said the water had to have been on there a long time to reflect the damage in the photos we sent them. We will have to live with this unsightly table. I feel if this can occur with this furniture, a warning should have been issued along with the warranty information to keep any moisture away from this furniture. We spent almost $1,400 for this furniture and are very disappointed with the outcome of this experience. read more

My son, who is 20, picked out a new bed and dresser. I decided to ad a mattress for my daughter. We had to wait for 30 minutes for the paper work to be processed. They said delivery would be two weeks. I emphasized 3 different times to use my husbands cell number to set up delivery. They assured me they would attempt all numbers to set up delivery. I let them know it would be pointless to contact the home phone , but they said they still needed the number listed. After 10 days we got home to discover they had left a message on the home phone. After I listened 3 times i could not understand the number to call back. I called the store and they transfered me. I complained that they had not only called the number I had asked them to but they didn't even attempt any other numbers. They apologized and said they could set up delivery for 6 days later at the earliest. That didn't' work for me so we set it up for 4 days after that. An hour later they called back on my home number to set up delivery. I told them I had just set it up an hour before. The next day they called my husbands cell two different times to set it up agian. They had it listed but didn't even realize they it had already been done. On delivery day it just got worse.The called and said they would be here in 30 min. An hour later my husband called them back and they didn't answer until the second time. After they got here my husband said we didn't need the bed set up inside due to our dogs. They had opened the box and looked inside then said oh ok no set up and taped the box shut. My husband said they could put it together outside and he and my son could carry it in. They said it wouldn't work, but he insisted. They opened the box back up and said oh well its bent anyway we can't do it. They obviously knew this and were going to leave it anyway. I immediately drove up to the store to complain and ask for some kind of consideration. My husband and son had to take a day off for this in the first place and will now have to take another day off. I had to wait half an hour to speak to someone. After explaining to her she said it would take a little while to see what they could do to help make amends. I was asking for at least a delivery time not a window so my husband or son one would not have to miss another day and at least part of the delivery fee back. In less time than it took to talk to her she had called back. She would get us a morning delivery and half our delivery fee back. We will see if this pans out or not.
