We are in search of new furniture for our house. We wanted to remodel and update everything that we have. We seen a lot of advertisements of the furniture store online and their furniture looked really nice. When I first came in, I was greeted by a sales rep sitting in the front. The man asked if we've been to the store before. We said yes, and told him who helped us. He told us that our sales rep will be in about 30 mins. We decided to take our time and browse around. The man at the front kept asking us what we were looking for and giving his recommendations. We told him we were still just looking around to see what we liked for the look we were going for in our house. He was a bit pushy and short with us. After following us for 40 minutes later and asking us the same questions 15 times, the same man says that our sales rep isn't coming in today and he looked on the wrong schedule. So he can help us instead of our original sales rep. At this point, I said that we are still looking around and he asked again what I was looking for exactly. So he showed us what we were NOT LOOKING FOR. I told him that I was looking for a specific color and shape for certain furniture. He told us and showed us all the complete opposite. Because, I wouldn't agree to what he had showed me, he had another lady help us who was very rude and obnoxious. We had our daughter with us and she was cussing while talking to us. As we 3/4 done with the store, she continues to follow us and not allow us to browse freely. She then yell across the store to another employee that's in the front talking about another employee. I told my husband I was done and I didn't want to look anymore. The lady goes straight to us, and tell us we shouldn't be that picky. We won't get everything we want. If I'm spending thousands of dollars, I will be sure I'm spending on something I want. I definitely will not be back and will not give them my business. I would never recommend this place! We purchased a sofa from Ashley's last year. In that time the middle cushion began to unravel. It took some time but Ashley eventually replaced the cushion. Both ends of the sofa started to show wear. We were very diligent to keep pets off sofa and even bought a cover and used when needed. As recommended by our salesperson to purchase the GBS warrantee. "If we had "any" problems they would be covered by the warranty. So we reached out to GBS Enterprises and they informed us this type of problem was an Ashley issue. When we approached Ashley they informed us since a year had expired they were not responsible. So we are the owners of a questionable sofa and questionable warrantee. read more

A friend of mine told me he had a positive experience with Asshley Furniture so I gave them a try. I was in need of a new sofa since my old one is 15 years old with holes and scratches. I ordered a sectional from on- line so I wasn't sure if the color would be consistent and the size , plus the quality. I'm very happy with the color , the size and the quality. Came with three pillows which I didn't even know. A nice touch. Two delivery guys set them up in 8 minutes. Super fast !!! They got rid of all the boxes and plastics that cAme with it. Once I ordered , they kept me updated on the delivery status by texts and calls frequently which was great. I'm very happy with my new sectional sofa! For one the front office needs to get rid of the barracuda the answers the phone , after several Matress returns was having trouble with this co and the Matress co on their warrantee I should say after many many Cal's to different persons that would give me different answers I was done and asked if I could talk. To someone competent at that the woman took it upon herself to feel like I was referring to her well it so happened that she fully lost it and started raising her voice so loud that I said I wasn't calling you incompetent you idiot to which she had no class to start with it ended up I was blocked no one asked to call me back to hear my side to make the story shorter I resorted to getting the same kind of Matress I had returned for the third time . I must say I will never ever step foot and give Ashley's my business and hope you don't either. First, the service was ok in despite of everyone reaching over and trying to steal each other's customers. As they helped us, we knew the whole get down on how the managers treat their employees and how the other employees work and the new employees didn't know how to give us a deal, but that was a lie. New employee tried helping us save money. Numbers do not lie. But our biggest complaint must be when we placed a large order, a bedroom set and a premium mattress set. The third part, white glove service came in and set up. We were advised that if it don't work, refuse the order. We just did that. The third party couldn't get our bed synced so we had to refuse the order. One of the installers got furious with us and made us feel uncomfortable in our own home. We tried to explain to him that they told us if something is wrong don't accept order. He just got more furious. He damaged out new hardwood floors in multiple areas, pushing boxes down our stairs and left trails of trash behind from inside to outside to lake right behind us. We have contacted Ashley's and have constantly asking for a follow up, but they have no care in the world. We are still trying to contact them and NO response from anyone. It's a run around. Ernie blames management (Tung and Devin) and Devin reroutes us to logistics. And they are blaming us for not responding but yet they are giving our wrong contact information to upper management. We found out because we had to fight with them to forward proof that they tried contacting us. We were promised over a month ago, going on 2 months a $300 refund but never received it! They said they called no one left a voicemail nor did they call to say they were going to rescheduled my delivery. I ordered a love seat, sofa and recliner from the sales Representative Tou at the store after negotiating the price and paid in full at the time of purchase. I didn't check the receipt at the time and ended up having only the love seat and sofa delivered. The delivery people couldn't put the couches in the place that my mother requested since I was busy and they didn't assemble it upon delivery either. I contacted Customer Support several times and they gave me the run around for months saying they'd get back to me. I went back to the store to complain to the manager about the missing recliner and the situation and ended up having Security called on me for no reason whatsoever, by a completely different employee not involved in the conversation (while I was speaking with the Manager named Devin of the store). The entire time didn't raise my voice whatsoever just talking normally to them. After even more time on the phone with Customer Support they told me that I can't get a refund on the order and the only thing they were willing to do was refund the $47.00 for the assembly fee. I'm not sure how this company still exists with such horrible customer service all the way around from the store location to customer service to warehouse and delivery. PROS: We placed an order of bed sets that includes 9 pieces of funiture (over $4000) at the end of March 2021. All items except 2 nightstands were delivered within 2 weeks. The 2 nightstands were delivered 2 weeks later. They notified me of the delivery date of the furniture, 1 week, 1 day and on the day of the delivery: they have a good notification system. We are pretty satisfied with the quality of furniture, the communication, the delivery crew, and the delivery speed. CONS: Some pieces of furniture we purchased including Hillcott Nightstand (B798-92), Hillcott Dresser (B798-31), Hillcott Chest of Drawers (B798-46), Hillcott Door Chest (B798-48) are off gassing. From the day of the delivery, all of the furniture are stinky, releasing toxic volatile organic compounds (VOCs). If I stay in the same room with one of those pieces of furniture for 30 min, I get headache. We did our best to remove this pungent smell: we open the window during the day to change air in the room; we used activated charcoal bags to remove the smell; we regularly cleaned the furniture with odor remover solution. So far none of them solved the off-gassing problem. We ended up placing all furniture into one of our empty small bedrooms, and we are waiting until the furniture stops releasing toxic gas. It has been 2 months like this, and we are really not using the furniture as we should. I will keep posting the updates. The bed frames and headboard from 'Deylin series' are not stinky at all and we are using them without any problem. I've been going back and forth with customer service for almost a month now because the loft bed for my daughter arrived missing a piece. Took almost a week for them to respond. Then they asked the same information I've already given to customer service. Now almost two weeks later they are trying to tell me I never responded even though I have the emails to prove I did. Buyer Beware: Just ordered a sofa recliner. We were charged $200 for delivery. Nancy the salesperson never told us how much we would be charged she just said it would be delivered on a date. Usually between my husband and myself we would have noticed, but right before walking in we got disturbing news. So I was on the phone and he was listening with 1 ear. We realize there is usually a delivery fee, but we think $200 is pretty steep and if she would have verbally commented the amount, We would have hitched up our trailer and picked it up ourselves. Then they sent us to GBS. We had to call GBS every day for almost two weeks before finding out that they can't help us either. Not one employee at the Fresno store or at our new city tried to help us. They dragged it out for over two months. Now we have $600 left to pay on a broken couch -- that we will have to pay a junk company to remove for an additional fee. Apart from the expensive product being suboptimal and breaking in less than a year, the abysmal customer service is the reason why I'm writing this review. I wasted my time and money here. We purchased outdoor furniture here for our new house. We bought the item at the store, and they have told us we will get the item delivered to our home. They were supposed to deliver the item in the morning, but they ended up bringing the item in the afternoon when I specifically asked them to deliver it only in the morning. I ended up being late for work. When I opened the package, the item came defective and broken. There were metal parts that were completely broken and the alignment was completely off on the chairs. We asked for a refund and told them we will deliver the item back ourselves. They won't even accept a refund. They said they will send a technician out 3 weeks from now. Customer service is HORRIBLE. I received my delivery on June 4th. Upon reviewing the delivery many of the items were damaged. It's now June 14th and an even exchange has not been approved, Ashley has not called me back (even when I am told I would get a call back in 24 hours. I have literally called every single day and no solution has been given. I either talk to someone who says my request was never entered in the system or that the even exchange request was not found. Avoid this store!!!! Do not waste your time coming here. Went to the store on April 8, 22 to look at countertop stools and king foundation wood frame. We were told by the sales agent Macalab Acosta that they have it in stock and will be deliver to us within the next week. Little did we know that he was quick to make a sales and lied to get us to buy their products only. Come to find out, our items will not be deliver until May 15 for the foundation and June 3 for the countertop stools. We went back to the store again on the week of May 16 since the rep got our foundation wrong. It was supposed to be a King size and he listed it down as a Cal King. They corrected that and assure us that it will be a wood frame foundation that will be deliver on May 26, 22. When it was delivered, it was the metal frame. We took it back to the store the next day on May 27, 22 that the item was incorrect as we were told that it was supposed to be a wood frame. Another sales manager Lionel Burgos went ahead and look up the wood frame foundation King for us and put in a case to the warehouse. We were told that they will give us an update when the ware house responded. This then follow by many follow up calls and today I spoke with the manager Devin and was finally told that our case was closed and they will not be sending us the King wood frame foundation since it's an extra cost and we didn't pay for that. They refused to refund us and said once the item is delivered then it's our problem now. What kind of customer service is that? You never follow up from May 27 till June 28 when I had to constantly called for an update. Of course, my husband didn't like their answer so he went to the store, probably caused a scene there too LOL. He dropped off the incorrect foundation package that was delivered to us which is now their problem and we're working with our credit card company to dispute the partial refund. Fresno Ashley Furniture, do better, train your staff better and have your managers work on those communication skills. This review is not for the furniture. It's for the warranty that they push so hard. Our dog rolled in the dirt and walked along the side of the couch. No problem because the sales person at Ashley had told me things like that are covered. I explained the issue and sent photos and the cleaning was approved. They sent someone out to clean it and he said his equipment only does small spots. They would need someone to come out who does larger spots. A week later I get a call saying they are now denying the claim because the warranty doesn't cover larger spots. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Your sales people said pet stains are covered. They didn't say it needs to be smaller than the palm of your hand. I looked online and there are hundreds of other Ashley customers also saying they weasel out of claims that the sales people say are covered. Bad customer service, lack of ethics -My family and I went to Ashley on Blackstone yesterday, 1/5/23 at 6pm, we purchased a dining table set and bar stools. The bar stools did not fit my counter so I went to exchange them today, less than 24 hours after purchasing them. The workers were not trying to be helpful and did not allow me to exchange chairs I spent $260 for the night before. The workers made me fell unvalued and unwanted there. I cancelled my purchase of the table set for $1600 because they were not reasonable to let me exchange the chairs purchased for $260. I will NOT go there again. read more
