On April 29, 2016, I visited the Ashley Furniture location in Humble looking for an over-sized chair. I was greeted by several Ashley Furniture associates with a warm welcome. Patsy was my sales associate and she was a very nice lady. She showed me several chairs but the one that I selected was the Exhiliration over-sized power recliner. I sent my husband a pic of the chair and he stopped by the store to sit in this chair to ensure that it would be comfortable and big enough for him since he's 6'4" tall. He agreed that it was comfortable and would compliment our bedroom. I inquired about the motor that operates the recliner and Patsy mentioned that if it needed to be replaced, all I would need to do was call Customer Care and that the process was easy to replace it if it ever needed. I told her that I wanted this chair but I declined the protection plan that she recommended. I also found a media cabinet that I wanted as well. My visit was productive and I felt good about the purchase when I left the store. On May 9th, the delivery came to our home and to our disappointment, the recliner wasn't the one that I selected in the store. They delivered a manual recliner instead of the power recliner that we both liked and sat in in their showroom. We declined the delivery of this chair since it's not what we selected. When I called Ashley Furniture to find out how this mistake happened and when the chair that I actually picked in their store would be delivered to me. The response from Patsy, the sales associate was, "You told me you were concerned about the motor going out on the power recliner." What I'm trying to understand is how my asking a "WHAT IF" question turned into my being written up and delivered a chair that I never selected. I simply asked how I would go about getting it replaced IF it ever went out. She took that to mean that I didn't want it and made an executive decision on her own to put me down for the manual recliner. Ashley Furniture told me that I should receive a phone call by May 11th (once the recliner that we declined shows to be back in their inventory in their warehouse). When they call me, they will arrange for delivery of the chair that I actually selected and include the price difference of the chair in my billing. On the other hand, I had no issue with the media cabinet....it is beautiful and it is exactly what I selected in the store. I'll update this review after my chair is delivered. I visited the store on May 11th to sign for the difference in price and was met by a gentleman named LA. He took great care of me and explained to the billing associates what they needed to do. I appreciate the care and concern that he showed. I'm happy to report that the chair that I wanted was finally delivered to me on May 14th. I also received a phone call from the store manager on May 13th to see if my issue had been resolved when I made my 2nd trip to the store to sort out the matter. If you're considering ever shopping at Ashley's, opening a credit card etc, DO NOT GO TO NUNU NASSOR Thanks to her I had an extremely unpleasant experience. I came in looking for a bed and found one, everything was great at first and so was she. She really had me fooled. Anyways I tell her im not ready for the furniture and she says okay you can schedule it whenever, just fyi the rails might take awhile, and I understand. The time comes where i'm ready to receive my furniture and schedule a delivery date for my dresser (mind you im still aware that my bed might take awhile due to the rails). I get my dresser, it looks great but I still need my bed so I ask nunu for a status update, eta. No response, at first I let it slide, maybe shes busy, she does have other responsibilities to tend to. However a couple days went by STILL NO RESPONSE. Look NUNU i get being busy but that does not excuse the lack of communication. I probably would've understood if she texted me saying hey im pretty busy right now i'll get back to you soon, but NOTHING. Whatever i call customer service to get an answer from them and they say 8 weeks. The hell?!?! what kind of bed takes damn near 2 months to get here, so i text nunu again to get more info because the guy on the phone didn't help at all but guess what, she didn't respond again. At this point i'm pissed at nunus unprofessionalism but just end up waiting it out because I wanted my bed. Fast forward a couple weeks (about 3) and I can schedule my delivery! Everything starts looking up I almost forgot that my sales associate ghosted me!!! My delivery day came up and the delivery men came to my home asking where the queen bed I ordered was going, I told them where and then they asked me where the I wanted the king bed. HELLO??? i never asked for a fking king bed nunu and u know this. So know im pissed again, HOW DOES ONE ACCIDENTALLY ORDER ANOTHER BED. I call ashleys and lo and behold nunu nassor had almost charged me for 2 beds!! Luckily I sent the bed back and was told that I wasn't going to get charged. Unfortunately I'm still figuring it out though, I dont know what i'm getting charged for and am paranoid that I got scammed all thanks to NUNU NASSOR. I received great outstanding service from the Ashley Humble service this week. I received excellent customer service from Miguel, a sales agent that I had previously worked with on a few occasions. Once again, he was attentive, efficient and provided the service with an expedient delivery that was made as promised! I went in again on yesterday, March 28, 2024, Miguel was not in, however, we were pleasantly surprised with the courteous service of the assistant manager, N. Nasar, who was able to get exactly what was needed in a timely manner. I also, appreciated this manager's ability to affectively meet and graciously accommodate the demands that were required of her position. When I asked them to send someone out to see the table, they refused and said I should contact the warranty provider. I paid $6,000 plus an additional $700 for an Optimum Protect Plan for a leather rocker power recliner, a leather power reclining sofa, and a love seat that I have had lots Of issues with and when I do claims they are never covered so now I have dysfunctional furniture and am out all this money and the store needs to give me my $700 back at least to try and make this right for selling me a protection plan that does not even cover the furniture I purchased. When the back of one of the sofas literally broke, we made a claim on the extended warranty. There was no reply for MONTHS. When they did respond they sent a claim application. After my wife submitted the claim, filled out several forms, and sent the required photos, three months later we were informed that we had WAITED TOO LONG to file the claim! They were the ones who delayed the process, and now we're stuck with poor quality, broken furniture and Ashley hides behind THEIR fraudulent warranties provider. I went in yesterday and am still so annoyed with my experience. Went in to look for a coffee table, but was excited to look at other things while in there. We walk in and start looking at a coffee table and are greeted by a salesman. He was nice, but awkward as he introduced himself. He finally said, "I'll leave y'all alone so you can browse and I'll check in with you later." Goodness gracious, he left us for maybe 45 seconds before he was up our ass again. He was trying so hard to convince us of every coffee table that fit our parameters. My mom and I hardly had a minute to ourselves to speak to one another. We decide to make our way to the second story in hopes of an escape for a few minutes. He wanted us to ride the elevator with him to which I told him we would take the stairs. At this point I was already super annoyed with him. We get upstairs and take off in one direction. Finally, we had a few minutes (maybe 2 mins) to ourselves. We looked at a few rugs and discussed the possibility of purchasing one, but we didn't make it long before the salesman was there again! He immediately tells us to follow him to see the 3 coffee tables that fit our needs. Our leisurely adventure of enjoying rugs and decor was over. We look at his recommendations and told him one was too small, he tries to convince us that it would probably be okay even though I told him the size of my current one. He did the same with a few others--always having a reason it would work. My mom and I start walking away from him to which he was still up our ass the entire time. Like, go stand by the stairs or the front door if you're so worried I'm going to leave. He then asks us which table we were most interested in and we tell him. He brings us over to it and says hmm, it's out of stock. He asks when I'm looking to buy and I tell him no rush, maybe a month or two. His response "oh, that's a long time away. How about I talk to my manager and see if we can give you half price on the floor sample if you take it home today." I had also already told him I'm not purchasing today, as I'm taking pictures to show my husband. His response "oh, I thought all the decision makers were already here." My husband would've left the store within the first 2 minutes of us being here, so it's a good thing he wasn't there. My mom finally tells him just to give us his card and we will let him know if we are interested. He says, if you come back (which we won't) make sure you ask for me so you can help me feed my family! The only way we make money is from having sales. So, now the desperation and the guilt is being laid on us. Listen, I know how salesmen operate. I get that they are trying to make a living, but this was the most awkward and pushy experience. We were so uncomfortable and to be honest frustrated with all the hovering. People sometimes just want to enjoy looking without being followed. Who knows, maybe I would've bought a rug or decor yesterday, but I wasn't given the chance to breathe and enjoy my experience. We had been to 3 other furniture stores that day and none were as desperate or encroaching as the salesman at Ashley. Just so I'm clear, this happened the first time I visited Ashley about 5 years ago too- different salesman though. I'm wondering if this is how Ashley has their employees operate. Anyway, I will not be giving Ashley a 3rd chance, as it's like being followed by a piranha! Good luck getting a refund from this company. I cancelled an order on January 9th and was told I would receive a refund within 5-10 business days. After 10 business days passed I called and was told that the only way they could communicate with the refund department is to file a ticket by email and they would need 48 hours to get an answer. After 48 hours I called and was told they needed 48 business hours, or a week and a day. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager (Armando) told me they needed 72 hours to get an answer but he wasn't sure. The customer service with this company is horrible. No one over the phone or chat could look into a simple refund issue without significant run around. I've spent hours on chat pursuing this because most of the time I call the customer service number my call gets dumped because my order # is no longer valid. After writing a review about my broken solid wood bed frame, someone in Ashley's management team reached out to me stating they wanted to resolve the issue. I contacted the phone number via text and was connected to a person who eventually told me a replacement piece for my bed would be sent out as a one time courtesy to me. After waiting weeks, the piece never came. I contacted the same number, again via text, to which the person on the other end informed me that they would NOT actually send me the piece as they'd stated. Steer Clear - Furniture doesn't last! I purchased an entire living room set from Ashley HomeStore two & a half years ago, along with a protection plan which was strongly encouraged by our salesman. The recliner is coming apart and I'm told, not covered by the protection plan because it is normal "wear and tear". Check out the pic - is this "normal" after only a couple of years?! Several days later I get a text from the delivery department saying that all the pieces to my order would not be available until later that month. I canceled that order on 04/24....needless to say, they still have not refunded my money back onto my Ashley Credit card!!! I called the credit card company and they stated that the store did not notify them of a return so it could take up to six months for them to reverse those pending charges!! I also found out that each Ashley is independently owned and have their own customer service line. That just means that each location can destroy the Ashley name without any repercussions. If there was a negative rating, I would give it to this Ashley store. 1st issue: dishonest sales representative. when we walked in the store, we told the sales representative of the concern we have a about delayed delivery and she told us that it would not happen to us so right then and there, I called Macy's to cancel my order of a delayed delivery. delivery date for our dining room set for 06 May 2019 and guess what? NO DINING ROOM FURNITURE. i get that delays happen BUT this sales representative promised us that no delays would happen. further, she did not even bother to call us to inform us about the delay. 2nd issue: manager and customer service representative does NOT know what customer service is. no sense of ownership. they will just tell you "delays happen" I am glad that I am not the only one posting a negative review. I'd like to start off with saying that I did love our sales rep and she was awesome with helping us deciding what furniture we wanted. Thanks Anya! But I rated this a 1 because of the fact that I did order my furniture a month ago and scheduled my date for delivery. I took off time from work (I'm a teacher)for the delivery too. One red flag was that I never received a confirmation call about delivery so I decided to call them the next day out of nervousness. Turns out there was a mistake and they never loaded my furniture for delivery so guess what, no furniture! They told me they would try to put me for same day and would call me back within the hour to let me know. Well, three hours went by and I ended up having to call them. They told me they couldn't and had to reschedule me for a different day. Not only was this a giant inconvenience for my time but it's disappointing when I have to be the one to call back for information when they should have been calling me. They offered a $50 in store credit but let me be honest, if they're going to "forget" to put my order up for deliver then why would I want to order again? If only I had read the other reviews then perhaps I would have just went with Exclusive Furniture. I had ordered a table from that store and had NO problems what's so ever. I even got a nice little call from that rep to make sure everything was delivered fine. We bought some furniture and realized it was too small to fit our living space. We wanted to return it and get something else and it was difficult to get a hold of someone to discuss it. We went up the store twice before we were able to get someone to help. They said we could "re-select" a different living room set (after they realized we were eyeing something more expensive), so we did. After signing the paperwork, we were then told our new furniture would not arrive for another month and they would not pick up the returned furniture until the new stuff was delivered. We offered to bring it in ourselves and they kept saying "No" and "You can't do that". We even offered to pay extra to have them come get it sooner. They would not budge. So we bit the bullet and pushed it off to the side figuring it was just for a month. Well, our reselected furniture never came and they never called. We called the store and got the run around so many times we ended up calling corporate and submitted a formal complaint...which was promptly ignored - twice. I have the case numbers to prove it. We started receiving bills for the couches that are sitting in my dining room and now the furniture we "reselected" is not due to be delivered until September. SEPTEMBER!!!! We ordered it April 7th. We had to call corporate to get that date as well. No one has voluntarily called us back for anything. Not even once. Corporate blames the stores, the stores blames corporate. No one accepts responsibility. I have reported them to the BBB. DO NOT waste your time and money here. I have never had such a terrible experience trying to buy furniture. Save yourself the headache and go someplace with better service and better ethics. Edit: DB - I have already submitted that information to you, to you specifically. You reached out on a different social media outlet. All your escalation team did was to apologize. The order was not expedited and you refuse to pick up the furniture that has been approved to be returned. This is indeed standard practice for you as I have googled Ashley and see that they have a class action lawsuit in the past for this same business strategy. Beyond disappointing. Once Again Ashley Furniture has screwed the pooch. Supposed to have delivered our new bedroom suite today and they delivered part of it. The headboard was delayed and I wasn't notified of it till the delivery guy informed me of it. Apparently they were supposed to call and inform me. Had they called I would have told them to just wait till they had all the pieces and go on to work . So now I've taken off work I have a mattress and box springs laying on the floor because the bed can't be put together. When you call them they claim theY won't know when it can be delivered until tomorrow the 28th. They refuse to let me a speak to a manager claiming they are the highest point of contact. I am not one to publicly complain but NO ONE will speak to me so I have to post my complaint here. This is BY FAR has been my worst customer service experience EVER! I ordered 3 sets of power reclining couches in December and received them in January but I knew something wasn't right, the arm rest were so hard you could feel the frame of the couch, they were so hard and uncomfortable! You can make a fist and knock on it and hear it make a loud knocking sound from the boards underneath because there was hardly any cushioning. There is also a lack of padding in the leg rest and you can feel the boards when you are reclined. There was no way I would have ordered something so uncomfortable so I decided to go back to the store in Humble and compare it to the one in the showroom and the difference was shocking! The one in the showroom had about 6 inches of thick padding on the armrest and leg rest and was VERY comfortable. I was so upset I felt SCAMMED! But trying to get this problem resolved has been the WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH! We have made 3 trips in person to the store and the manager refuses to come out and speak to me. My husband went and was able to speak to a Manager named Andy only after making a scene and even then nothing was done. He said he would call us back within 2 days with a solution and he NEVER CALLED! Their Guest Response Teams solution was to order more cushioning and padding and then send a technician out to install it. How is that even possible? It sounded absurd! But they ordered the cushioning and the first technician came out and said they sent the wrong kind of padding. So the order was placed again and a second technician came out and said it's not possible to do. He said they did not put enough padding and they have sewn the fabric so tight that it cannot be done. He said if he were to remove all the fabric he would only be able to add a very thin layer of cushioning because it was sewn so tight and once he sewed it back together it would not look the same! The Customer Service Supervisor (Colleen Simmons) would not talk to me and refused to return my calls but documented on my work order that I do not qualify for an exchange! They expect me to get over it and accept what they sent me but I refuse to! I paid over $5,500 for these couches expecting the same quality of furniture as the ones in the showroom but they aren't! And they won't even speak to me!!! Who is charge of quality assurance because they sure aren't doing their job! Someone should come in person and see what I was sent and compare it to the one in their showroom but they won't EVEN SPEAK TO ME! I am so over dealing with this issue, it's been over 3 months. I've been waiting for a mattress exchange since August 2020 here we are in December and the humble store staff is still giving me the run around. I've tried calling customer service to no avail. Customer service reps are unable to locate my order due to the purchase being made in store allegedly. Prior to purchasing my very expensive mattress I chose Ashley because I thought they were a reputable company. They clearly are not. Our furniture is great, BUT the service is horrible they kept delivering broken furniture and taking forever to bring it, then came back for a coffee table and 2 end tables and we never got the end tables. Now back to get the end tables (same sales person Natilon) and it's taking forever cause she just put it straight on our account for 48 months for $300 extra instead of verifying it first. After ordering a living room set for my beach house, I took a vacation day (because they do not deliver in that area on weekends) and drove out there (100 miles) to meet the delivery people only to be told they only had the chair, everything else was on back order. I said no to delivery and asked they reschedule once everything was in. Now the 2nd attempt, I got the early morning call with my delivery time. We confirmed with the scheduler that all our furniture was in. I drove out there again, wait and then get a call from the driver advising he only had the loveseat. Furious, I called the store to only get the "manager" who was helpless. He assured us after the first attempt he would ensure the next delivery was not scheduled until all the furniture was in. There seems to be a trend - My husband and I selected and ordered a new living room set on 5/31/20. The items were scheduled for delivery in July - this was not an issue as we understood the impact that COVID-19 has had on production lines. The delivery was rescheduled for August with only a partial delivery. This delivery has been rescheduled 3 more times since August and the delivery set for today was cancelled with a rescheduling for 3 Oct or 7 Oct or 12 Nov.... Oh, forgot to add that we actually went into the store in August to cancel the order and was told that all but two pieces were in stock and would be delivered the next week which as you read earlier didn't happen. Although we still want the furniture (as we now have an empty living room) we are extremely tired of getting the run around. We hope to have the furniture by Christmas. read more

Don't even bother! We purchased a living room set cash they told us it would take 2-8 weeks. We waiting 10 weeks and nothing then we were told that it would take another 10-15weeks ! Never again! We ended up getting a refund. read more

I wish that Yelp had a way to choose zero or negative stars, I would select -5 for a HELL NO. I was moving with my wife and we went in to the Ashley Homestore in Humble, TX on 12/30/19. Upon completion of the order they said that the soonest delivery date for all pieces would be on 2/8/2020. Perfect, we were due to move in to our place on 1/26/2020. two days prior to the set delivery, the customer service reps called to tell us that they could not deliver two items. Ok it is what it is, I said. So the soonest date the could get the rest of our couch and the coffee table our would be 2/14, which wasn't acceptable due to the fact we were out of town. The pieces we did receive were put together with crooked couch/table legs and stripped bolts on an accent couch that was ordered. Long story short, after numerous attempts on my part to have Ashley rectify the issue of the shotty furniture that was delivered, on top of delivering the remaining missing pieces has taken. I took three months to get my complete order delivered which was delivered on 3/27. Being said, now I have to contact "customer non-service" to tell them I need them to come fix the items that are beginning to fall apart.I strongly dissuade you from considering this business. Please, DO NOT BUY from Ashley Homestores because you will be sadly disappointed and frustrated to no end to get customer service to deliver "showroom quality" furniture in a timely fashion. I am going to consult a civil attorney to see if I can break the contract and return all items purchased. read more

Worst customer service experience with any company ever. if you buy a piece of furniture from Ashley that needs a repair, you will make dozens of phone calls, over several months toget their technicians to your house to make the repairs. we have been working on an issue with a couch for over three months and it is not resolved yet. we will never buy another piece of furniture from this store! read more

They will make you think you're buying the best, and that they will back up on any malfunctions or problems... yeahhhh right! Even when you buy extended warranty, they will give you the run around. Will never waist time an much more money at any Ashley Furniture! They promise you that you are buying leather. Even keeping up with the leather products, nothing works. This happened not even 2-3 months from time of purchase. They came fixed it, the guy even said it himself, usually the manufacture will have mistakes if it happens again call, etc. Called again told them it keeps happening now they claim it don't cover it! Ok so then why even pay for extended warranty. My previous furniture was from another place, way cheaper and was actually "pleather" and lasted me longer. Lesson definitely learned! read more
