(web site is www.lutherauctions.com) They are truly selective with what quality material they sell. You won't find total junk here. What differentiates Tracy Luther (the owner) from all other auctions is that he is way ahead of his time in merging 'entertainment' with 'auctions'. Yes, Tracy Luther is a true entertainer, and a knowledgeable one, and he puts up a great show each time. Buying with him is fun that way, and I bet that sellers of estates achieve much higher prices with him, because buyers there are prepared to pay for the high entertainment value he adds to his auctions. What is also enjoyable is how well organized his auctions 'flow', without any significant hitch and they are very fast. Tracy Luther is even successful with his staff, as I experienced when I coincidentally met someone online who had worked for him for years and still sang his praise extensively. Yes, his own people love working with him. And, as far as cost, he is relatively inexpensive, with a 15% commission to buyer in a time where many charge an absurd 20% for much less. Tracy Luther is an auctioneer who should be a model for all, but is unfortunately still the exception.

If you want to have a terrible auction experience, try consigning with Tracy Luther Auctions, they are rude and act like snobs, and what ever you have is garbage. I don't care if it's the Holy Grail, It's garbage. They won't want to consign it "because it won't do well there", they would say. I guess they are doing so well that they can turn away business, "Or they don't want to junk the place up". I once brought in a pair of crystal lamps and told them I understand all the risks, that if it don't sell for more then $20 I would get nothing, and was turned away, so I sold it at another auction for $225, It's just weird to me for a business to turn down money, but they are stuck in there little bubble. If you can somehow break down the wall and consign with them, they will get you good prices, I once seen a box of yarn sell there for $35 that someone consigned, but my stuff is not good enough. If your a buyer there, I hope you don't mind a sore back side. After the sales tax and the buyers premium it comes out to be 22%, So if you win a item for $100, you would have to pay $122. The items here usually sell for top dollar, but every once in a while, if you do your due diligence and show patience, you can make a nice score. I once picked up a biscuit tin for $42 and sold it online for $500. But it's OK. if you don't mind a speed auction and bad jokes, they have some good stuff, if you can keep up with it. Also find out what "times the money" means, It could save you some problems. Arrive early and inspect the items, they are usually flawed, and sold under the pretense "sold as is".

    On 3/8, My husband went in to order carpets. His order was 3 cuts of carpet of the same color, and…read more1 cut of a different color. He was helped by 2 younger adults, and then a Manager name "Linda". Since this is considered a custom Carpet there is no refund, We order this understanding that HOME DEPOT would also meet their criteria. Wednesday 3/11 AM, we get a phone call " Sorry , your order is too big to delivery and you have to pick up? Can someone explain to me how can we pick it up ourselves if the order is too big for them to deliver it? PLEASE? 3/11 My husband calls, they say " Oh let just wait until it gets here - NO communication- whatsoever 3/13, My husband decides to stop into the store to speak with someone. We spoke to the worker at the carpet area, he calls for the Manage on Duty and we speak about the whole situation and he shrugs his shoulders like he can careless, Which annoyed the crap out of me! we, then were told they will have someone contact us. "LINDA" or Jennifer" told us the turn around time would be quick. 1. We get there and find out our oder has been changed from delivery to pick up Today is Monday 3/16- We have received no PHONE CALL, my husband calls and finds out : "JENNIFER" no longer works there!! WTH .. What kind of crap is this. He wanted to speak to a manage right away and was told "OH they are all in a meeting" they will call him BACK ! it has been a WEEK and NO ONE has called us BACK.     I ordered a refridgerator on black friday and this has been the worst experience i've ever had with…read morean online purchase. I chose Monday, December 1st as the delivery day, as that was the only option. I took a day off of work to be home for the delivery, and scheduled a junk hauler to remove my old fridge same day in preparation. I received a text it would arrive between 7 am and 11 am the night before. December 1st no one showed up or called me about a delay in delivery. I called Home Depot around 1 pm, spoke to a woman, and she claimed there was a truck issue at the warehouse. This was no excuse for not getting any sort of notification or phone call. She said I had to wait until 8 pm in case the delivery truck driver was running behind. No one showed up. I called the next day and spoke to Christine and she could not tell me why it never showed up. She was the only kind and apologetic customer service rep I spoke to this whole time. She offered me $160 off and free install, then rescheduled the delivery for the 5th, said I would get a call to confirm later that day. I once again did not receive a call. I took the day off yet again to be at my house on the 5th and no one showed up. I called and spoke to Kensie.. Kensie should not be in customer service. She is awful and rude. She is short tempered and a liar. She said the warehouse promised to deliver my fridge on the 6th. I asked her to send me an email with the transcript from our call and she said she would. She never did. I cancelled my plans for the 6th and stayed home. Yet again, my fridge was not delivered. I called again and spoke to Mark, he said they added a crew to work on sunday the 7th to deliver orders that were delayed just like mine. He also refunded me shipping costs of about $80. Sunday rolls around and I still did not get my fridge. I called and they said it would be delivered on Monday and they were confused why I was told it would be delivered Sunday as the delivery company is not open on Sundays. I Once Again took the morning off to be home within the delivery window I was given and no one showed up. I called Home Depot and spoke to Santiago. He called the warehouse and had me on hold for over an hour. He could not get ahold of the warehouse and told me there was nothing he could do. I asked to speak to a Manager and spoke with Juaquin. He tried to call over to the warehouse but could mot get through. He opened a ticket for me and said he would reach out within 2 hours with an update. He never called me again. Cut to Tuesday the 9th at 4:28 pm I received an email saying my order was lost and they refunded rhe remainder of my money. No call, no offer to ship a new fridge, nothing but a 15% off promise. As if that makes up for not having a refridgerator for 9 days. I plan to dispute all of this and get the fridge I originally purchased at the black friday price, with the $160 dollars off and free shipping plus install like I was promised. This whole ordeal is outrageous and I will never shop at home depot again. They have the worst customer service I have ever dealth with. Do Not Give Home Depot Your Money.

    No stars if I could,Extremely Disappointing Experience and Poor Customer Service…read more My brother, who has special needs and lives on a very fixed income, saved his own money to purchase two recliners from Slumberland Furniture. This was a major and meaningful purchase for him. Unfortunately, one of the chairs delivered was clearly used, with visible signs of wear that should never be present in a new item. Slumberland sent out a service technician to inspect the chairs. He briefly sat in both, stated that everything was "fine," and would not acknowledge the obvious differences between the two recliners. One chair was noticeably tighter and firmer than the other. Despite this, he reported back to the store that there were no issues. Based on that report, the store refused to take any further action. The manager and assistant manager were dismissive, unhelpful, and showed zero empathy for the situation. There was no meaningful investigation, no willingness to listen, and no attempt to resolve the concern. The entire process felt designed to shut the customer down rather than actually address the problem. Selling a used chair as new is unacceptable. Dismissing concerns from a vulnerable customer who carefully saved on a fixed income is even worse. Customer service at this location is extremely poor, and management clearly does not stand behind their products or their customers. I would strongly caution anyone considering a purchase here, especially those on a tight budget or families making important furniture purchases. This experience was frustrating, upsetting, and completely avoidable with basic integrity and customer care.
