Similar to another reviewer, I purchased an adjustable bed frame. It was a floor model. They were supposed to arrange a local delivery company to deliver it the following week. I call the day it was supposed to be delivered and I find out they had never contacted the delivery company. They told me they would fix the problem and then two days later, still nothing. I then managed to get the number of the delivery company and arranged the delivery myself. Then it arrived without the retainer bar. I called them (multiple times again) to get one. I contacted them twice over the next week to determine when it would be delivered, and they did not know. Finally after another week or two, I call them again, find out the retainer bar was shipped to the store, however the person who handled the issue did not put my name on it, so no one knew who it was for. I then go to the store to pick it up, bring it home and find out they ordered the wrong one. Now I have called them 3 times, with no response, in order to get the correct retainer bar. Everyone I talk to has been polite but that does make up for the incompetence (of the managers) I have experienced. This has lasted for two months now. read more

Worst customer service experience ever! Purchased a bed with adjustable base which was supposed to include headboard brackets in October. Bed came without brackets. Told by store, they would order. After numerous calls (with wait times of 20 min+), we STILL have not received brackets nor return phone call. Nice furniture, but don't count on customer service! read more

The furniture is very nice, the Sales person very professional, but be warned on the delivery!!!! They are sneaky, if something is damaged they try to hide it and in my case they also broke a floor tile and now trying to get this fixed by the furniture store has proven almost impossible; no one wants to take ownership, so please run away from there!!! If I could give zero stars I would. And wish I would have read the reviews prior to attempting to buy a sofa. My first experience with them in 2016 was fine that's why I went back. Fast forward to 2021. Found a reasonably priced sofa on March 19th. Was told it would take 2 weeks. Side note: we wanted a couch sooner but the salesperson said he would try to push things through because he didn't get paid until the sofa was delivered. RED FLAG! Back to the story...now 2 weeks pass I check online (cause no one reached out to me) and it says online it won't be in their warehouse til April 19th. Huh?! So I call customer service and they show it won't be in til April 21st with an earliest delivery date of April 30th. Ummm...not ok? But I understand the pandemic has things messed up so I'll stick with it. Today is April 21st...I again call to verify the sofa was in the warehouse and my delivery date was the 30th. No! Now they say it won't be in the warehouse til May 15th. Completely unacceptable! I asked if I stuck it out would they reimburse me the delivery fee and protection plan fee ($169 each) and they said no discounts would be given. So customer service (1-800 #) PRETENDED to create a refund/cancel request (her name was Sandra...so she said) and I would get an email confirming and it would take 2 weeks to get my money. Never got the email. Called back and another rep told me she saw the notes but no request for cancel was placed and I needed to go to the store I bought it from to facilitate it. Took care of it but have to wait 7-10 days for my money to be back in my account. I feel the salesperson knew all along it was back ordered with no definite date but if he was honest about it he wouldnt make the sale. Big Corp at its finest. Out for themselves. Went to a competing furniture store after. The salesperson there was a former Ashley employee and told us that's why he left. He confirmed their (Ashley) sales people didn't get paid until the furniture was delivered and he was tired of all the back ordered products. We spent more on a sofa at the competing furniture store but he was honest and let us know what they could have delivered in a week and what they had on back order. I rarely write online reviews, but feel that I should share this so future customers can be informed of what you're getting in to by dealing with these guys. You should go here to see the products, then buy them somewhere else. You will likely pay less and have a better customer service experience. Their products seem solid and they have a great showroom with a wide variety. However, their customer service and follow-through are far below expectations. My experience is outlined below. -- I had been in the market for a king bedroom set for years without ever finding quite what I was looking for. I finally found what I was looking for here. Purchasing was easy, with a moderate amount of pressure to by their extended care plan and some good flexibility on delivery dates. However, after my card was swiped things started to go downhill. My wife and I both heard the sales person say that the delivery guys would move my old furniture, however, upon delivery the team delivering my stuff said they could not and the room needed to be emptied. No problem, I emptied the room of furniture so they could deliver. After delivery, however, I noticed three significant black marks on the white bedroom set, one in a very conspicuous location on the headboard. Additionally, the drawers in the dresser seemed either poorly designed or installed, and didn't quite line up with each other. I contacted customer service, who were friendly and reported a technician would contact me within 1-3 business days. It's now been 2 weeks. During this time, I found the set online at another retailer for almost 800 dollars less than what I paid. I brought all of these concerns to the store manager, and requested to simply return the furniture and be rid of the headache, as I could get it cheaper at another retailer anyway. The manager told me there was nothing she could do but the store would contact a technician... who will contact me in 1 to 3 business days. She also told me once delivery is accepted, Ashley accepts no returns, exchanges, or refunds. This policy was no where in the terms and conditions I signed when I purchased the furniture (to be fair, there was no policy outlined at all for returns). There's just too much competition for Ashley to try to remain in business with some of these policies. Next time, if I want a piece of furniture, I'll go their showroom, get the item number, and then purchase it from an online retailer. I don't mind paying more to be able to see and feel furniture in person, but $800 is pretty extreme, we're talking about almost a 40% mark up from competitors. Next time I will probably look at the furniture in the store, make nice with the sales-person, then buy it somewhere else. read more

I bought a new sofa for over $700 on the phone to the Melbourne store after I was unable to purchase it online. The sales rep who took the call did not inform me of their "no return" policy!! The sofa was delivered. It's cheap looking and ugly in person. I called the next day to ask for the process to return it. I offered to pay a restock fee, but was told that it was not returnable under any circumstances. She said that was their store's policy. Of course, no one told me that when I bought it. So, I am stuck with it until I take a loss selling it on craigslist. This is by far the worst customer service experience I have had. It amazes me to see the other reviews. I've had nothing but incredible service, delivery and quality from this store! Everything from the sales people to the delivery people. The prices are great especially in comparison to the other furniture stores in the area. And they don't pressure you, but instead give you time to think about purchasing. Salesperson Keith was so helpful in assisting me make the right choices and in finalizing the details. He was friendly and professional. The checkout process was a little lengthy due to some disorganization there. Delivery was within a week, on time, and quick - these guys worked hard bringing everything up to the second floor and assembling beds and tables. We bought an entire living room set from this store having seen it online, it was not on the floor so we could not test it out. When it arrived it is too small for our living space and is not comfortable nor does it meet the needs of our family. We have reached out to the store and to corporate to see if we can exchange it for a more expensive set with no success, very little communication actually! I asked if we could pay the difference plus restocking and delivery fees, no go. The website states that Ashley will make it right within thirty days but this is only if your purchase it online. If you buy it from the store, even if it wasn't on the floor to preview, you are stuck with it. The staff were polite and pleasant but there seemed to be a lack of follow through or authority to make any decisions. Best customer service I've had--I purchased items on line from VA for our new beach home in Melbourne. My sales consultant, Alex B., was excellent as was his manager Stephanie H.--our new home was not available on GPS and the delivery truck was coming from Tampa--they couldn't find our home within 3 miles of the destination...Alex B. left the store & guided truck in with our 10k purchase. I forgot to order Boxspring's for 3 beds--no problem, Manager Stephanie H. arranged for delivery the very next day. My family had a great experience, overall. Our salesperson, Christine Norris, greeted us at the front door and I could tell she would've let us shop around ourselves if we wanted to - no pressure. I walked in behind a large group of people. I went to the left when most go right. I was able to look at beds (my mission of the day;buy a bed) without anyone bothering me. I have to say, the new designs are not to my liking. But, then I found one. As, I finished my stroll around the store, Christine found me & asked if i needed any help. After the usual greeting, & what i was looking for, she knew which bed I picked. We did some logistical paperwork, picked a delivery date and we were done. In & out in less than 45 minutes. I was set. Ashley delivery called 5 days before my set date to say they had my bed, would i like early delivery. Kept my original date. The 2 young men who came to set up tje bef were professional. The furniture was supposed to better quality, but we had numerous issues with our brand new dinning room set. All issues were related to the delivery and set up. Broken pieces, that were obviously damaged while putting it together. Three weeks later still do not have a working dining room set. We have been an Ashley Customer for over 10 years and have spent Thousands of Dollars with them. On December 21, 2016 we purchased a Bedroom set that was in the 4 thousand dollar range and also purchased two lamps that they had on the floor, actually there was a total of 6 lamps on the floor, however the policy is they can not sell off the floor. A promise that they would be received in the lamps in the store by December 28, 2016 for pickup. On the 28th we were informed only one was received and the other would arrive on the 3rd of January. We called at 1 pm on the 3rd and was informed that they were unloading the truck and we would receive a call with-in the hour. Well by 5 pm it was apparent that we were not going to receive the call, so we called and a young lady said she would look, after 22 minutes on hold she said she could not find anything with our ticket number on it. Wait, last week we had one received now they can not find none. Asked to speak to a Store Manager and got to speak to the Office Manager Becka Taha who said they could not sell us the ones on the floor but could refund us our payment Let's look at this a little closer, lamps on floor, but they can not sell, so a customer who has spent many Thousands of Dollars can be refunded the cost of the lamps. After being a very good customer for over 10 years; I could not talk to a store manager only an office manager, just amazing. We will never buy from Ashley Again. read more

I waited 3 months to get my furniture that I ordered for my nine year old child, only to be told that it still was not in, and it would be at least another month, with no guarantee that it would come in then either! I was promised delivery in 4 to 6 weeks! I promptly cancelled my order when informed of this, only to be treated rudely & even hung up on by Sarah who has a real attitude & acts like she is doing you a favor by talking to you. This woman has no business being in a customer service role what so ever! Their store manager Matt Garrison refused to talk with us, and NEVER bothered to return my phone calls, not even once. I was never given a courtesy call to inform me that my furniture order would be delayed, I had to find this out myself after calling them. They changed the delivery date 3 times and never bothered to call & let me know. My 9 year was disappointed one to many times as a result of deceptive practices by the sales staff and management! The store is not even a "corporate" location and the corporate office can do little to help when you have a problem. I was promised a phone call from their regional manager as well that never came. Ashley ought to be ASHAMED for allowing this independent owner to use their business name on their product, and needs to step in & do something about their Management, customer service, and make sure that they are doing what any reputable business should! Honesty is NOT their policy! Do not shop here. It has been the most terrible furniture buying experience I have ever had! I went to Babcock today and my furniture is being delivered tomorrow. I would have rather paid more to get what my child needed when she needed it instead of being strung along for over 3 months by Ashley. Made purchases on Saturday, and scheduled an afternoon delivery for today. Items included bedroom and living room pieces. I knew generally what I wanted and how much I was willing to spend. Jason provided excellent assistance on the sales floor without any pushy sales pitches or upsells. Kelsey (I hope I have the correct spelling!) was super with the purchase details. And, delivery today was one of the best furniture delivery and set-up experiences I've had. Everyone has been exceptional in their professionalism, customer service and willingness to go above and beyond. I ordered an entertainment center from Ashley Furniture in Melbourne, FL a few weeks ago. When the piece arrived at my home the piers, the bridge and the doors were all damaged. There was also no hardware for the shelves. On one of the barn doors of the entertainment center, it is very obvious that someone tried to fix the scratches before. If this is the case, they intentionally delivered me a damaged piece of furniture. I received a call from customer service that said they would deliver non-damaged furniture, a week later. The night before they were to deliver, I never received a call stating they would deliver the next day. So, I called them. I was told that the unit would not be delivered because it was out of stock. It would have been nice to have been told this in advance, rather than late at night; the day before they were to deliver my furniture. They scheduled to deliver a week later. When they showed up at my house, I watched the men take the furniture off the truck and unbox it. ALL the pieces were more damaged than the piece in my house! I couldn't believe it! I called Ashley Furniture the day after this delivery and was told the furniture was still on the truck and hadn't gone back to the warehouse, therefore they could not schedule the next delivery, yet. I was also told that the furniture was probably damaged on the way to my house in the truck. I told them that the delivery guys took the furniture out of the boxes in front of me, so this was not the case. I couldn't believe they tried to blame the delivery guys. I will be calling them again, today to find out when they will deliver my furniture once again. This will be the third time. They say third time's a charm, right?! Let's hope so. I paid $2,000 for this piece of furniture. Ashley Furniture sent me an email to write a review about my experience. I wrote it and obviously it wasn't good. I received an email back stating that they would not be posting my review because there was negative feedback in it. This is the first time I have shopped at Ashley Furniture. I bought a dresser online from Ashely Furniture. It got delivered about a week later which would have been awesome, but the guys that delivered it broke one of the drawers then tried to leave without contacting anyone letting them know what had happened until I refused to sign a paper saying it arrived in "good condition". They then called someone and lied telling them it came broke which I informed the guy that they broke it. After I talked to him I talked to someone telling me they would ship out my drawer and it would be here in 5 days and that she would call me within the week with a tracking numberAfter talking to her and the delivery guys had left I had realized they had thrown then cigarette buds in my driveway which was super unprofessional. I then proceeded to send customer service a email about everything I got one response saying they would forward it to someone and they would get back to me which was a lie. So I waited a week for my drawer to arrive or even get the phone call with the tracking number which never happened. So I had to call once again and then I find out it was never shipped out and the lady I talked to said she would call me the next day with a update. The next day she called and left a message saying they would expedite the drawer to me which I now just received which was not expedited as they choose the slowest shipping method possible to save money on a mess up there employees caused. I am extremely pissed about how I was tried and basically lied to and I will never be shopping with them again. read more

This place is the worst Ashley show room I have ever been to. We ordered a king size bed, and we were told it would be in on a set date. they called and rescheduled because a piece was on back order. we waited and waited and they never got back to us. I called and found out that there was still a piece on backorder, and that the salesman knew it was unavailable when he ordered it. We just got a refund. I will never go back to that store. the staff is really rude and they don't care about you as a customer unless you are spending many thousands of dollars. read more

We purchased a small table and 4 chairs from Ashley (Leahlyn Table/chairs). The sales person was very pleasant to deal with and quite helpful. We decided we wanted to go home and make sure the table would fit the space before placing the order. When we called back to place the order over the phone it was very easy. Our set was delivered 3 days later. It is beautiful and just what we were looking for. It fits the space perfectly. No pressure from the sales people at all. I will shop here again. read more

Now I have to wait for an expert to call me and come to my place to tell me yes its damaged and has to be replaced.
