We had them for a weekly cleaning service for a couple of months but we're not happy with their service. The pool was left cloudy, the hose kept disconnecting from the wall, there were leaves still in the bottom of the pool.Brought this to their attention but problems never got resolved After one of their weekly cleaning they forgot to replace the filter cartridge and it was left running like that for about a month before we discovered it. We had already fired them , couldn't figure out why we couldn't get to clear the water and only discovered it when we went to clean the filter only to find out there wasn't one in there! We called them and after many phone calls they came and put one in. I told them to no longer use my card that they had on file, but they did anyways. read more

Have a pool? This is the place to come to for just about everything pool related. I went in to purchase all new O-rings for my pump, filter, chlorinator, and two valves. All in stock! One of the sales people assisted me and made the process a snap. I also had my water analyzed. Great setup, very professional with a printout of results for each area they test. I only need a gallon of liquid chlorine. at the register I noticed their selections of thermometers and had one that was a penguin standing on an iceberg. I got that and away I went. Just some advice if you didn't already know, know how many gallons your pool is if you are have the water tested. They are now my go to pool place! read more

Three months to get a refund for a month's service they debited me for but never performed. At least 5 emails, 5 phone calls and even had the BBB contact them. Only after I threatened to take them to small claims court did the manager then tell me "we mailed it long ago. Must have gotten lost in the mail. Come pick up a check." read more

We will not be going back to this "Pinch A Penny" again. We wasted our time and money dealing with these idiots. They have several people working who have no clue what is going on. They didn't have the cartridge we usually get so they upsold us one that was double the price indicating that they don't make our original any more. (Which they still do.) They said we needed to have them order us a new lid to fix an issue we were having with our filter. OK, great. They give us a price. We leave, think about it and call them and agree on ordering the lid. Then they add $20 to the price. OK, whatever. They say it will be in sometime Monday and will call when it comes in. Monday comes and they don't call. We call later and the lid was there. Go in Tuesday to get the lid and they bring out a lid for a totally different filter! We show them again, the filter we have and the idiot says, we sell just the nob for that lid and have it in stock. Not sure why they didn't tell us that to begin with. Either they have no idea what is going on or they wanted to make money off the lid and when they ordered the wrong one, decided to tell us about just the nob? The nob came in an opened bag with none of the rubber seals that were supposed to come with it. Definitely will not be going back. The entire experience was a waste of time and caused frustration. read more

I think you shouldn't yell at your employees while there are customers in your establishment. You should pull them to the side and talk to them in private! Made appointment to check pool pump motor on 04/26/18, scheduled it for 04/30/18. I spoke to Ricky who was very professional and asked for afternoon appointment but understood no particular time frame could be given. On 04/30/18 I called West Melbourne Pinch a Penny at 4:30 to confirm appointment and was told that no appointment had been scheduled. I was told Ricky must not have "put it in the book". Although I was upset I rescheduled for 05/02/18. When asked for my credit card info I said I would come to the store and confirm I was in the book. Long story short, when I arrived at the store Jeremy showed me that I was in the book. I was still upset but never raised my voice and asked if someone was definitely going to show up. Shannon the owner jumped up and said I don't know what you want so I'll just take you out of the book and you can get someone else to do it. She said if I didn't leave the store she would call the police. I left the store after telling Shannon that I've been coming there for 10 years but would never come back. Although I left the store without incident someone from Pinch a Penny sent the West Melbourne PD to my home. I confirmed this with the West Melbourne PD that the call had come from Pinch a Penny's address. Moral of the story, confirm any appointment with Pinch a Penny ahead of time and never express your displeasure with their service. I am now a loyal costumer of Leslie Pools. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! Selling our home and needed some work done to our pool. Tech. came out for service call asked to replace a pool light told us that it was unable to replace it due to the age. After explaining we had a friend replace it 2 years ago he said it would need to be special ordered, he would order it and get back to us the following week. After not hearing back we called the store the manager Ricky told us he would be out the following day. We waited the entire day they never showed. Called the store told the manager would call us. NEVER called! Kept calling with no return calls from the manager or tech. Had a friend come over take the light out for us, found the bulb at another pinch a penny. WAS NOT EVEN A SPECIAL ORDER!!!!
