Ashleys is horrible!!!! We had furniture on layaway while in the process of moving and decided to switch the set (which we were told would be no problem) until the manager, who would not come out of the office to even speak face to face with me said no, you have to switch out for something the same price and that i could also not have my money back!!!! So on June 29, 2019 my fiancé went shopping for recliners. We went all over Midland, Texas to the furniture stores and after looking went back to Ashley HomeStore. We purchased the loveseat with recliners for my camper living room since what I had was fine for one person but not two. The sales person was extremely nice as was the guy who we assume was her manager. We asked about when the delivery would be there and were informed that it was in the warehouse and would be there on July 3rd. I was going out of town for the long weekend and asked that instead of the 3rd could it be on July 8th. I was informed that would be better and yes it would be there. I arranged to have someone at my camper on the 8th. When I called to find out what time the delivery would be is where the trouble began. I first spoke to an individual named Samantha. She was extremely rude and told me that there would be absolutely no delivery as I didn't call and make arrangements. I informed her that the store had taken care of it and that I was guaranteed that the delivery would be there on Monday. Based on her rudeness I asked to speak to a manager. After being on hold forever I received another rude "supervisor" named Esmeralda who informed me that I would not be getting my furniture Monday. By the time Esmeralda had gotten online I had already started looking at the reviews so I explained to her that I totally understood why the negative reviews for this business. She still did nothing to make their word good and have my delivery on Monday as I had been guaranteed. She told me that she would make sure that it was on the truck for deliver on Tuesday morning. They would leave the warehouse between 7:30 - 8. I should have my delivery by 9:00 AM. Again my delivery did make it there on Tuesday however it was almost 11:00 AM. My five star review is for the salesman who helped my boyfriend and I. If your going to buy any furniture here ask for a salesman by the name of Chris Garcia. When we first walked into the store most of the sales people were helping the other customers, and some of the sales people were just standing around talking to one another. So we went to the counter to ask for help, then we were approached by Chris we told him what we were looking for in a couch and how much we wanted to spend. He did everything in his power to find the style and color we wanted. He was courteous and helpful and all around good guy. read more

I purchased a bedroom complete set from Ashley Furniture in Midland, Tx and the sales rep told me I will get my furniture in a couple of weeks. After I purchased the furniture I called the delivery schedule Dept to get an update and I was told the furniture will be in May 15th. I immediately went back to the store and told them they gave me inaccurate information and it's not a couple of weeks. The manager took down my information and stated she will call the warehouse and request to have it moved up. I receive a call couple days later and was told the furniture I purchased will be at the warehouse on 4/12. I was happy with that. I called the warehouse for delivery schedule on 4/15 because I didn't receive a phone call. When I called the rep stated the furniture is not in and will be in on 4/30. I was upset because again another lie. So I was patient enough to wait again. Today is 4/30 so I called warehouse to get an update. Now the update is the furniture will arrive on 5/13 and 5/30! I am furious now. The representative didn't care about my concern. When I ask for a refund I was quickly provided with policy and procedures. Those policy and procedures were not followed when they was in process of taking my money. This has and still is a horrible experience. I will NEVER shop at Ashley's furniture again. I will tell everyone to RUN from this place. It is horrible company. They need to be torn down because they suck at customer service and all of the above. They don't even deserve 1 star!!!! Oh yea they escalated my concern up to management but they had system failures so all the notes or who I talk to since March and been communicating with is no where notated on the account. I purchased on 3/5/19 and I'm still currently waiting. If I call on 5/13 and I get another date I am going to pursue further in all actions to get my money back!!! read more

STEER CLEAR FROM HERE.... I bought over 16k of items on 2-17-2019 and only have received a mattress, which is on my bedroom floor. I have absolutely no furniture at my new home because of them. No sofas, no dining room table, no bedroom suite, no kitchen island chairs no coffee table. Nathan told me it would be 4-6 weeks and here we are 04-16-2019 and NOTHING! I have called several times and spoke with Jorge Ramos (New Manager ) and have gotten the run around. He tells me to call Lubbock and find out where my things are...I DIDNT GO TO LUBBOCK TO BUY THESE ITEMS..I bought them in Midland ..it's NOT my responsibility to locate my items! I have to pay the bill because I don't want my credit to go bad so I'm stuck with no furniture and a bill. We received our furniture today only to have the slays missing and half the furniture damaged when we started inspecting after the delivery guys left. What was delivered was not what we ordered. Tonight we are having to sleep in the living room on our bed spring and mattress as we can't sleep on our new bed. Hoping tomorrow we might be able to have the company do something. I was told paying more for personal service from local store was worth extra $200. No one returns calls as promised. Watch out for delivery issues. I purchased couch three days ago and have no idea status of delivery. As well....was told when I called to inquiry couch was not available and more to come from manufactor...who knows what the status is...no one calls me back. I was totally excited to leave a great review and then they did not come through. I bought a sofa and loveseat and after 6 months it looked horrible!!! They came and fixed the sofa and now it looks awesome. But they wouldn't do anything on the loveseat so it still looks awful! Basically looks like I have two pieces bought years apart. My husband and I will never buy anything from Ashley's Furniture in Midland Tx!!! They are nothing but liars and thieves!!! We stopped by to look at recliners and new mattresses and after narrowing it down to what we liked, the sales lady, Martha,quoted us a deal. We told her that we needed to think about it so she printed out the quote, as requested, and charged us $20 so the offer wouldn't change. I asked her "if we changed our minds, will you give us the money back?" She said "Yes. Just come back tomorrow and we will refund you." Well we decided not to buy the furniture and returned no less than 48 hours later to get our money back. They said we had to call corporate office in Lubbock Tx. Ok great I thought. Now we have to wait for them to send us a check. So I called. I spoke to a rep there and he pretty much told me it was a charge for a layaway and that I would not get my money back. After explaining what had really happened he said he would investigate and call me back. After waiting all day with no return call, I called him back at 5:30 p.m. He still refused to refund me!!!!! First of all I never agreed to a layaway!!! Even after I explained how I was lied to at the Midland store, he was very rude. If nothing was purchased a full refund should be given. Right!??? Well not according to their policy. SO IF YOU ARE THINKING OF BUYING FURNITURE, DO NOT GO TO ASHLEY'S FURNITURE IN MIDLAND TX. They will lie and steal from you!!!!! The worst customer service I have ever seen. I ordered both a mattress and bedroom furniture. I was told the mattress could be delivered in 1-2 weeks and the bedroom furniture may take a few extra weeks. I decided to pay for 2 separate deliveries so that I would not have to wait for mattress. It has now been 4 weeks and I have not received my mattress. When i said I wanted one of the delivery charges refunded I was told that I should of read the contract and I could only have store credit. There is no responsibility for what anyone is customer service says and was constantly passed off to the next person. Hopefully this gets resolved soon. I went to Ashley's of Midland on October 4th to purchase furniture for my whole house. After picking out what I wanted I went to the front to do the paperwork and just prior to giving them the credit card, I was informed that it would be 2-6 weeks before it could be delivered. I told Alex (My Salesman) that I could not wait that long and I would cancel and go elsewhere. Alex asked me to give him a few minutes to see what he could do about getting the date moved up. He went to talk with George the manager on duty at the time, George said he made some phone calls and found all then furniture that I ordered and would guarantee delivery within 2 weeks. I did get delivery 13 days later but I did not get the couch for the living room, my sons twin bed came without the foot board which made the bed unusable because it is part of the frame and they charged and sent me a full size mattress for the twin bed, 2 out of three bar stools came but they were both damaged so had to go back, the hutch for my desk did not make it but a desk that I did not order but was charged for came, the dining room server/table didn't make it , and they sent and charged me for a queen box spring which can't be used on the bed I ordered. I called the store to find out what happened and was informed by Alex that he would check into it and call me right back. I did not receive a phone call back and went to the store the following day October 18 and I was told he was not in so I talked with George the manager again and he promised me he would check into it and find out what happened. After me making several calls to Ashley's with no one calling me back I again went to the store to find out what was happening with the furniture I ordered and the credit due to me for the furniture the charged me for that I didn't order. Needless to say I am quite annoyed with them by now and while I was talking to Alex a man that identified himself as Sam the brand new general manager stepped in and personally guaranteed he would look into it and call me back on October 23rd as I had come to expect from anyone in that store I did not receive a phone call back so I called him again on Oct 25th and he apologized saying he was working on it and had to get with his vice president to get it squared away because there were so many problems with the order. Once again he promised and guaranteed he would call me back that day. As usual no one called me back. I am in management myself and I know that the employees can't be any better than the management they work under and this store has been the worst shopping experience I have ever dealt with I use to think that buying a new car was the worst but that doesn't hold a candle to dealing with Ashley's. I strongly suggest that you shop elsewhere and avoid the headache I wish I would have. read more

I have ordered several things from Ashley's and this most recent purchase went so smooth!! the salesman (Junior Chavira) was so helpful and even helped me rearrange half the store to make sure everything would work in the space we needed. Delivery was smooth and everything was delivered on time and not a scratch. I have completely furnished a corporate apartment and an office from Ashleys and I would go back if I needed to do it again. The salesperson really makes it so easy!! read more

The absolute worst experience I have ever had purchasing furniture. I was told the time frame of 2 -6 weeks for my furniture. Almost 3 months later I received our furniture, and that was only after I called every week to check on it and also had a phone call into corporate. No one kept me informed, no one updated me, and no one had any idea about my furniture. The delivery process was a nightmare, and only after having to resort to being extremely demanding did I receive my furniture on a second delivery route. The ABSOLUTE only people who were nice were the delivery guys. I do not in any way, shape, or form recommend Ashleys. They have no concept of customer service. read more

I called the Midland store to track an order, and the man that "helped" me was so petty... Not only did he laugh at me repeatedly as I tried to make a point of the bad customer experience he was giving me, but he kept talking over me and raising his voice at me! The amount of disrespect was appalling and unacceptable for anyone dealing with customers, and humans in general. I tried to explain to him that the reason I was so anxious to receive our mattress was that we had been sleeping on an air mattress, and our backs were starting to hurt, and I wanted to find out if there was anything we could do to rush our order, but he didn't even seem to hear that, or react to that in any way, nor did he try to offer us an help. It didn't even look like he was listening to his customer. I told him I wanted to talk to someone else and he said he was the manager, I told him I hadn't asked for his title, that I just wanted to talk to someone else and that's when he started talking over me. I asked him for his name a few times, but he just kept with his rude attitude, and talking over me. I was so shook! I felt so humiliated by him! I spent 10K on bedroom furniture in April, and completed my order yesterday...almost 5 months. It required approximately 20 frustrating phone calls to Midland, 7-8 calls to Lubbock, and 2 trips to the store to pick up merchandise. The phone calls only required 30 minutes on hold, with promises that the call would be returned ....not once! The saleswoman promised me whatever she could to make the sale, but never answered my calls after the first weeks. I've never experienced service this poor in any setting...and will never purchase, nor recommend Ashley furniture to ANYONE! read more

I purchased a couch and love seat from Ashley's and was told that the couch was in stock in Lubbock but the loveseat would have to be ordered which could take as long as 6 weeks even though the salesperson said she had NEVER seen it take over 2 weeks to deliver. I was promised that the couch would be delivered from Lubbock the following week while we waiting on the love seat. I was not contacted by Ashely's and finally called them them to confirm that they were going to deliver the couch as promised. I was told that they had scheduled the couch to be delivered on Monday 7-6-2015 and that the deliver driver would call 30-45 minutes before delivery but that there was no way to know when that time would be. So I took a day of vacation and sat at the apartment waiting on the call and delivery. I called the Ashley store Monday 7-6 at 9 am to confirm that the couch would still be delivered and was assured it would be. At noon I did the same thing and was told that it would be delivered, and at 4:30 again and was told that "it sometimes was late but it would be delivered on 7-6. Well at 9 pm I told me wife that we were not getting a couch. I called Ashley again on 7-7 and visited with someone in service and was told that it was NEVER even loaded on the truck on 7-6 at Lubbock. When I asked why I was told three times that it would be delivered on 7-6, she could not answer that question. It is scheduled to be delivered this Thursday 7-9 so I guess I will have to take another day of vacation. :( AT this point I wished I had used another furniture store in Midland that I felt like cared for and didn't lie to their customer. My hope is that I can get what I ordered from Ashley's soon and I wont be going back. read more

We had a salesman greet me and my fiancé right away and he was very nice. We told him we were looking for a king mattress and to direct us to the cheapest one. I didn't like that they were all almost 2000$ but we asked if he could find us one for less. After a minute of talking with his sales manager they found us one for a pretty good price. We bought it. The next day I was having buyers remorse and found a mattress on the Ashley website for 610$ (half the price of the one we bought) that was still very nice. I called in and wanted to cancel our order and exchange the one we bought for this one. They said it would take 24-48 hours to get an answer on if they could do that or not. A few hours later they called us back and let us know that they would cancel the order, match the price online and not add any other fees. I was very impressed and will shop here again. read more

In Feb. 2012, we ordered our furniture & paid in cash. They said it would 'tentatively' be delivered the first part of Ap. Long story short, after many phone calls & complaints, we still have no furniture. May 18, 2012. They are saying now maybe by June!! Apparently some fabric is backordered on one chair but they promised (again) last week that they would call me today & set up delivery on the 3 items they can get shipped. As usual, I got no call today so I called them again & of course the party I've been dealing with was on another call & promised to call back. Said she was staying late tonight to return all her phone calls. She never called back & when I called again, got the answering service. The shipping & delivery is handled at the Lubbock warehouse & they are the ones who have NEVER called me in the 3 to 4 months we've been dealing with this. The Midland store is no help. They only send my calls up to Lubbock. Even when I finally got the manager for the Midland store on the phone, she wouldn't listen to me just said she'd have Lubbock call me back. I want to lodge a complaint with the manager in Midland that it isn't fair to be selling items that can't even be shipped to the customer in a reasonable amount of time. Even when I asked the saleperson in the Midland store to call me back, my call was never returned. Meanwhile, we are out over $1600 dollars in cash & have no merchandise & no one will even keep up informed as promised. We have a bare living room for at least 4 months. Oh, & of course there is no cancellation. We knew that but that policy is terribly unfair - they don't even have to produce any merchandise to us in a reasonable amount of time. When I asked what they'd do if I just cancelled, they said they'd give us $150 back & a gift card for a percent off on our next purchase. I am only giving this a one star because its the only way I can write this review! Ashley's Furniture has horrible horrible customer service. We bought some couches from them about 3 years ago. We also paid extra money to have an extended warranty on them (purple cow protection). Our couches started cracking and i called and they said they would send a tech out. It took them 2 months to send someone out and I would call everyday. When we finally had a tech come, he said he would order the material and that it wouldn't take more than a week. A week passes and I don't hear anything. My husband and I end up going to the store and they told us our couches weren't going to get fixed. Then we spoke to the manager there and she told us we should just be able to pick out couches because of the extra warranty we got. We waited to hear back from purple cow and they just kept saying they'd call us back. I spoke with people from Lubbock and never got anywhere. I called them today because our insurance runs out in November and guess what? They said our insurance expired in January which is a lie. They told us they were not going to fix our couches because we abused them!!!! How the heck did we abuse them? Is my family suppose to sit on the floor so those couches don't crack and peel??! If i could post a picture of those horrible couches I would. I have to young children and this could be a hazard to them. I will never spend my hard earned money at this store. All I want is for them to hold up there end and fix or replace our couches. read more

Takes a while to get furniture. Which is fine because that's what it states. But when they deliver damaged furniture at 9:30pm, (so there is no customer relations to call right then and there) and the delivery guy and the sales lady (whom I called because I really didn't feel comfortable taking the furniture damaged) tell me to keep it so it can get it REPLACED and not just REPAIRED and they have pictures to prove its damaged - its just a bunch of bull. They don't even give you hard copy of papers to sign confirming the delivery transaction - you sign on the phone of the delivery guy and they say they'll mail you your copies but 3 weeks later I have no copies. The people here were no help at all and say you have to deal with customer relations. No one seems to be there long term to fulfill their promises. This is seriously a scam. I paid hard earned money for NEW furniture and when it was delivered damaged and promised to be replaced they just want to fix it. So basically I am paying brand new prices for "REFURBISHED" furniture. This is not the end of me. And don't even try to reply back to this post because you definitely didn't want to help me out when I called. For serious buyers considering buying from Ashley's yes they have great financing offers but it's risky if you aren't satisfied with your purchase. I've dealt with a few other local furniture stores and this by far is the worst ever. I highly recommend Carters. Rooms to Go is also good, and even when Lacks was around it was better than this. The sales people here yes are great but like my sales lady said "ALL I DO IS SELL THE FURNITURE" so if you have any problems good luck on any help because NO ONE here could help out on the damaged furniture they delivered. I honestly cannot see how this scamming operation is allowed to continue to steal money from the consumer. I also wished I had done the research on the internet to see all the complaints prior to me losing my hard earned money. Where do they dig up people like this to work for them, so deceitful. How do they sleep at night? I went in the store and found something which I thought would be a nice fit in my home. I proceeded to give the down payment to order and was told it would be about 3 weeks. Ok..so I think I have made a good purchase for the moment. I was told everything I wanted to hear to seal the deal. I come home and tap on my computer and get nothing but warnings about ASHLEY FURNITURE along with the product I purchased. I immediately drive back to the store only hours from the actual completion of the deal. Explained to them I changed my mind and don't believe this is a good product for me. I asked for a refund to my DEBIT card and was told rudely that they cannot do refunds. Really now....I told them not to bother ordering the product and to have the area Manger call me (he was the one who I mostly dealt with at the time) The little prick did not have the nerve to call me. But I did receive a call the following Monday from the so called customer service only to call and confirm the sale and delivery address etc. I was shocked! I explained to her there is no delivery...I do not want the stuff and made that clear to the so called sales clerk in the store days ago. I went into detail with her that I wanted a refund. I am told that she will work on that and get back to me...OH YEAH...RIGHT! After many calls I speak to someone else that tells me that I actually owe them money for a restocking cancellation fee which is 25%. I was beyond mad from the stupidity of such. I explained..I have NO PRODUCT...NO PRODUCT HAS BEEN ORDERED THEREFORE THERE IS NOTHING TO RESTOCK! WTF! I still have not received my money back and I don't have a piece of junk furniture either. So, I have learned a hard lesson and not about to stop here. I have decided that the people that work for them are trained clones or spawns of the devil. Pure evil to know each day you have shafted every person that walked in the store. On that note. I pray you all rot in hell at ASHLEY FURNITURE AND GET WHAT YOU DESERVE.
