This was my first time in this store. I think first time ever in Ashley's Furniture. I seen something that popped up which looked quite nice but it was online order only. Then I saw that there was the store pretty near where I was having lunch. Northridge location is next to the Northridge Fashion Center. There's plenty of parking out front and the lot around the store. Store itself was a decent size. Big enough. Right when we walked in, we were greeted which was nice. Didn't really have anything in particular but wanted to see what this place carried. The sales lady that greeted us was quite nice. But throughout the whole time we were there, she was a little clingy... Lol... We just wanted to see what was available but every corner you turn, she happened to be there. I understand she's helpful but can we just browse without someone following us. If we needed some help, I'll be sure to find her. Like all the furniture store, the layout is broken down to department. We didn't have anything in mind but was interesting to see what bed frame and sofas they hand on hand. Honestly, there was nothing that jumped out at us. Everything seemed a bit it blah. They did have a lot of sofas on displays but they were somewhat the same. Nothing major that jumped out at us. But I can say that they had a massive collection of recliner. Not what we are interested in. Selection wise, there wasn't much of what we were interested in. Only thing I saw that was with looking at was a table and a decorative table. Besides that, nothing that caught our attention. Also we wanted to see if they had any Presidents' Day sale going on. I came in looking for a new mattress, bed frame, and nightstands. The salesperson was helpful in having me try several different mattresses, but I was very indecisive because I was shopping without my husband while we were in the middle of a move. I expressed multiple times that I was worried about making the wrong choice. What ultimately gave me the confidence to move forward was being told that I had a 90-day comfort exchange if the mattress didn't end up working out. Unfortunately, what I was not told was that I needed to keep the large law tag that's attached to the top of the mattress (where you lie down) in order to qualify for that exchange and maintain the warranty. This was never mentioned during the sale, despite the amount of time we spent discussing my concerns about choosing the right mattress. Like many people, I removed the tag without thinking because I had no idea it was required. Now I'm stuck with a brand-new, very expensive mattress that is far too firm and causes me discomfort, and I'm unable to use the comfort exchange I was specifically relying on when making my purchase. Had I been told to leave the tag attached, I absolutely would have done so. I'm incredibly disappointed. A simple piece of information that would have taken seconds to mention has left me with an expensive purchase I can't exchange and a frustrating customer experience. read more

My wife and I had a great time visiting this Ashley store looking for some dresser. My wife is interested in a chest dresser so we were trying to look for that for our newborn soon. Javier was the worker who greeted us when we walked inside and give us some recommendations. We saw a dresser we like and Javier looked on the computer to make sure they had it in stock. We also looked at some sofa for our living room and saw some that we like. We will be sure to come back again once we make our decision. They have different finance options you can choose from to help. We're not planning on using that but it's good to know they have it. read more

Please choose your representative carefully when making a purchase. We had FATIMA help us out. She was extremely as time we on. My family member is hearing impaired. The representative kept trying to rush us. We made the purchase the week on thanksgiving. We were told the by her and her manager that the bed would come the day after Thanksgiving. It's 12/8 and I still haven't received anything. I would cancel my order but this time they say they have everything, and I had already thrown out my bed beforehand, since it's a policy for Ashley to have the room cleared I keep getting updates from Ashley almost every other day saying they are going to deliver it but when I called corp, they say they are back ordered from due to Black Friday. I have made previous purchases with Ashley and I've been told that some ordered may be back ordered. Fatima rushed us through the whole process and never once let us know about anything. When I went in person to voice my concerns regarding his employee and the order, the store manager CHRIS was EXTREMELY CONFRONTATIONAL from the start. I voiced my concerns to him and immediately his response was, " I'm not legally responsible for anything Ashley does." The manager was completely tone deaf and did not hear a word I said. After shopping online and finding a couch that we wanted, my mom and I wanted to test it out and see if it's comfortable- we first called the Canoga location and honestly the guy who answered the phone answered like i was the homie, saying what I was looking for is "probably" on the floor and just come down.. it put me off a bit so I called the Tampa location. Immediately greeted by Chris (come To find he's the manager) and he was unbelievably helpful, he took the time to find the couch and said he forsure has it in store, said to ask for Hugo when when we come in to get taken care of. My mom and I came down and were very well taken care by Hugo. We left that day with a couch ordered and excited with how great of a deal we got. This review is for all the pleasant and patient help provided by Marshall Korda, Travis Thomas and Jacob Callo in finding a couch that had the features my brother needed and could fit in his living room. It was a time consuming process due to the dimensions of the room and other items there. They were able to made it happen within his budget, which was a challenge. We are optimistic that the quality of the product will hold up and that the Protection Plan will be honored if any problems were to arise. Time will tell. In addition, while the store didn't have any sofa sleepers, they obviously had sofas without sleepers that i was looking to sit on just to get a feel. She insisted the store didn't have any. I purchased a lot of furniture from Ashley. I purchased the highest end items they had. I added the furniture protection plan since they said that would protect it. The furniture all fell apart. Every claim I had under the furniture protection plan was denied. Everything. The side rails falling off. The paint discoloring. The structural support cracking. The pillars wobbling. These were all things that they said they protected. I paid extra for this. If you want cheap furniture that will last maybe a year, go here. Or, spend a little bit more money and go get quality furniture from somewhere else. read more

It's true... you never know what you're going to get with Ashley's service. They WILL tell you one thing, but then the reality is something completely different. I have been an Ashley's customer for a number of years, and even with all their bait and switch, unfulfilled promises, etc. etc., I keep coming back. I suppose I would be considered a glutton for punishment, but let's see what happens with our very recent purchase. We just bought a brand new matching sofa, loveseat, and oversized chair, as well as a swivel rocking chair of different fabric. We gave up on our previous Ashley's sofa and loveseat because the seat cushions were so disgustingly saggy, and I couldn't take it any longer. The terms of that old warranty NEVER were honored (back when the cushions were first sagging - after only 3 years... and still within the warranty period). I don't remember what their excuse was, but we didn't get our claim approved; that's all I do recall. Fast forward to now, and we decided to try again. Is that stupid? Who knows... jury will be out for a few years on that since this is brand new. That said, I also had a lonnnnnnnnnnng talk with several different Ashley employees, none of whom know each other. I asked similar questions of each person... to the tune of how do I know THESE newer cushions are better quality? Just because they say they are doesn't ensure anything. Just words being tossed around. Also, how do I know that THIS time, the warranty IS being honored because of A, B, and C ? Again, just words. I suppose, for the sake of argument, I will hope that the information I've been given is correct, and that my new purchases will (A) last longer and (B) allow for replacements due to a purchased warranty, if necessary. We shall see. Sure, right now, in their brand new status, our furniture is perfection... and yes, I have to say, the cushions feel much more solid and firm, which is how I wanted them to be. That cushy, plush, sinking feeling has its place, but I need these to last, so I wanted firm... and these are still incredibly comfortable. The interesting and somewhat alarming aspect of this journey was dealing with some of the in-store sales people. The young woman who mostly assisted us was definitely not on her game. She put HER name on our order as the customer name... not the sales associate name..... but as the customer, and naturally, she didn't catch it. I did. It then caused a flurry of other issues, mostly revolving around the date of delivery, and once again, she messed that up, as well. She was trying to be helpful, but ended up complicating matters more. Thank goodness, two different manager types helped us and actually fixed our order, and they even fought to get us an earlier delivery date... something that I don't think the other one could've or would've accomplished. (Even when she called to tell us a date, she clearly wasn't looking at a calendar because she got that wrong, too. She clearly did not pay attention to anything she did or said. NOT instilling confidence.) I appreciate that people can have a bad day, but this one employee continued to make rather glaring mistakes, and while there were others watching over her and helped us in the end, I'm not sure it's a good idea for her to be doing that line of work. It requires focus and tenacity, neither of which did she appear to have. We got our order because of others looking out for us, and as my husband and I now get to enjoy our purchases for hopefully years to come, it won't be due to her. Let's hope that when/if we need to invoke the warranty, we won't get the runaround. Stay tuned for that one... read more

I was looking for a new mattress and had already gone to a couple other stores. As I was leaving the Northridge mall I remembered the Ashley furniture store and figured I'd see if they had mattresses. Jacob was my sales person. He spent a lot of time with me helping me pick out the right mattress for me. And he's a funny guy which added a sense of humor to my experience. I got texts and emails about the scheduled date of my mattress delivery and a text when the truck was on its way to my house. The guys that delivered were very nice. And I got a phone call later that day from Ashley furniture to see how the delivery went. Amazing experience all around from in store to delivery. Ask for Jacob to be your sales person. Please listen to all the bad reviews I thought they were all a fluke but this Ashley's is in fact awful. They promised me a timely delivery of a $700 recliner (which I order a whole month in advance) for my father's birthday on December 18. It didn't arrive until Saturday the 21st. Not only are the sales representatives lying to your face to get you to buy their products but the phone representatives do as well. They first lied saying my delivery was delayed because the seat was "damaged", after calling customer service again they said the seat was just back-ordered... Ashely's Furniture back ordered a recliner purchased a whole month in advance. Bravo. I then spoke to both service reps Yan and Marv who both offered and promised me once again financial compensation only to never follow up or keep attempting to redirect the conversation. My parents at least have been shopping with Living Spaces and other stores for the last 20 years and never had this issue. Buyer Beware: Ashley Will Test Your Patience and Sanity Location: San Fernando, CA | Date of Experience: March 2025 My 2025 experience with Ashley Furniture in *San Fernando, California* was an absolute disaster from start to finish, and I *urgently* recommend you stay far, far away from this company and everything it stands for. I bought a $1,000 dining table and 4 chairs (SKU: D615-35 & D615-02 x4) in early March. The in-store experience was normal, and delivery seemed fine -- until the team unpacked the table in front of me. That's when the nightmare began. Right on the surface was a dime-sized gouge -- not a scuff, not a scratch, but a full-on *chunk* missing. Worse, someone had clearly tried to cover it up with paint or filler before packaging it up. Yep -- Ashley knew it was damaged and sent it anyway. I asked for a full replacement -- not a repair -- because this was supposed to be *brand new*. The delivery guys told me that's not how Ashley works. I had to accept the delivery *as-is*, and wait for tech support to call me and set up a fix. Reluctantly, I agreed, trusting their process. That was my mistake. About 30 minutes later, I got a call -- seemingly from a call center in India, based on the unintelligible grammar, heavy accent, and an insanely noisy background that sounded like *hundreds* of other people were crammed into the same room. It was nearly impossible to have a clear conversation, but I pressed on. A technician was scheduled for a week out. When the tech arrived and called me from outside, he said he could *100%* fix the issue based on the pictures that were taken by the delivery crew. I made it clear I didn't want a fix -- I wanted a new table. He explained that if he stepped into my house, he was *required* to perform the repair. No assessment, no discretion -- just mandatory "repair." I refused. And because I "refused service," Ashley's support team told me they couldn't help me anymore. Feeling completely boxed in, I drove to the store late that evening -- around 7 or 8 PM, close to their closing time. It was already dusk, maybe dark out. Mind you, my parents were visiting from out of town for the first time in about seven years, and instead of spending that rare time with them, I was stuck dealing with this mess at Ashley. When I arrived, the store was empty. Three associates were behind the counter -- all on the phone. I was told the middle guy was the manager. He asked me to wait a few minutes. I waited *20 full minutes*. When I finally approached again, he said he was "in a work meeting" and *couldn't help me*. No apology, no offer to reschedule, just "What do you want me to do?" Thankfully, another associate nearby (also on the phone) overheard and said he'd help me shortly. He actually came over, listened, apologized, and ultimately helped move things forward. During our talk, I got a call from the call center confirming they'd approved a replacement. I put it on speaker, and the in-store associate nodded along with me. Finally -- *finally* -- some resolution. But even that little win came with a twist. The business card the associate gave me had no name, just a generic "associate" title and two phone numbers -- one supposedly a "cell." When I got home and tried to follow up? Both numbers dumped me straight back into the overseas customer service loop. And let me tell you -- that loop is hell. The only way to get help is through a frustrating, voice-recognition system that forces you to enter a bunch of details -- your name, zip code, what you bought, where you bought it -- just to *maybe* reach a person... who then turns around and asks you for the exact same damn information all over again. It's pointless, exhausting, and clearly designed to wear you down so you give up. This whole process feels intentionally broken. Their model seems to be: 1. Take your money. 2. Deliver damaged goods. 3. Make the complaint process so miserable you give up. 4. Profit. If you're shopping for furniture, I suggest you go anywhere else. For reference, I also recently ordered from Bob's Discount Furniture, and while one of the end tables for our bed set *did* arrive damaged, they handled it *exactly* the way a company should: no pushback, no hassle. They called a repair tech on their own, scheduled a time, showed up exactly when promised, and resolved the issue -- no drama, no runaround. That's how it should be. I've also had smooth experiences with Living Spaces. Bottom line: DO. NOT. SHOP. AT. ASHLEY. FURNITURE. Warn your friends. Warn your family. High pressure sales tactics, likely earning commissions. We had a guy follow us around our entire visit. We found something we liked but wanted to check other places before we purchased anything. The guy told us we'd need to come back by 6pm because they closed. When we returned, It turns out the store closed at 8pm but he got off at 6pm. He followed us outside to tell us to give them his name when we come back to buy. I found some of the other lady workers to be rude, loudly talking about another employee and complaining that the other person says hello to customers when she's not even clocked in. I didn't end up buying anything. I felt like this was a car dealership where people are trying to upsell and pressure the feet of missing out element of their sale price. I purchased a bedroom sets from this store and repeatedly emphasized to the salesperson (Fatima) that I needed a low bed matrress for my elderly mother. Unfortunately, the bed that was delivered was much higher than expected, actually higher than my waist. While I acknowledge that I miscalculated some aspects myself, I believe the salesperson should have guided me better based on my specific needs, rather than focusing solely on making a sale. Good customer service means listening and offering helpful suggestions, especially when the purchase is meant for someone with mobility concerns. I called the store the same day it was delivered and was told it was a final sale with no option for exchange. I later contacted customer service, and while they said someone would come to assess the situation and suggest a solution, an exchange will only be considered if that person recommends it. We were thinking of upgrading our bed and mattress and decided to browse . We met with Ana who was so friendly, kind, helpful , honest and not pushy. We told her we still had some time to decide and once we were set we would come back to see her. After two months we decided to pull the trigger and I had told my husband I only want to buy it from Ana since she was so amazing and I liked her so much. The ease and speed of applying /approval for credit was very convenient. Huge selection of items to choose . The manager Leah and Ana both went above and beyond to make sure we got the best service, selection and value . We will definitely be returning for future items . Came here last week with my dad to get a bed frame everything was going well and they said it will arrive in one week and they will build it. When that day came I already got an email saying what time they will be here which they never came. I called customer support which they proceed to tell me they didn't have it in the warehouse so that I would have to wait two more weeks for it to arrive. Which they next they called me saying that it will take them a month. A whole month which I said fine what can I do which when after waiting more than a month they finally arrive and started to build the bed. They then proceeded to tell me that they didn't have all the parts so they will have to leave and come back later for them to finish building it. As you can guess they didn't come back. I called customer service again which they told me they didn't have those parts so that I will have to wait 10 business days for them to just get then more for then to come back to build it. mind you they left the bed frame half built in my room which was just ridiculous I called the next day asking for a refund and for them to unbuild what they have because this was just ridiculous at this point. She told me she will put in my file snd that I will get an email in 1-2 business days on what to do next. I never got an email I called again today and this new lady told me that It wasn't in the file and I should have called sooner???? Like what??? Then she told me all sales are finally. And they if I want they can come on oct 14 to finish building it. Like if I can't get a refund thats the least you can do. Don't shop here just go to IKEA cause this is just ridiculous. read more

Nobody ever pick up the phone when you call, orders take three weeks to be delivered and when it comes to the delivery day, they call you and say the item is backward or you have to wait another week or so. Selection is very slim and advertise prices are not always accurate if you need to speak to a store manager, with any issues you physically have to drive to the store. read more

DO NOT GET ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE. SHOULD OF READ THE REVIEWS HORRIBLE QUALITY ! I have less than 5 months with my couches and the material is already worn out. I had noticed worn out within the month but blamed a fluffy blanket for leaving lint (clearly wasn't the case). They sent out a technician and he blamed usage and pets. They only have a 24 hours return policy from the day you receive them. Clearly, the couches are going to look good when you first get them. If you plan on sitting on your couch BEWARE you might start to rub off whatever horrible material they use. Unless you plan on using your couches as a museum display (NO TOUCHING, NO SITTING) these couches might last you a year, if you're lucky. Jacob store manager in Ashley suggests I use a RAZER blade to remove the pieces of fur that are coming out. Thanks for the suggestion I really want to be using a razor blade on my new couches. ****Word of advice spend a little more at another store but at least they will last you longer than 5 months. Beware of their scam! Went to purchase a dining room table and chairs. They told us they would give us 15% off. The advertised price was $599. When they began to ring me up the price was $780. I asked what happened to the discount. They said this was the best promotion they had and the extra fees were tax and shipping. I left the store and purchased the same set from their website and free shipping. Out the door at $620 including tax. read more
