It was time to do some remodeling and I have been visiting several places, in and out of the SFV. There are numerous home improvement outlets. But, I keep coming back (again) to Home and Decor, for what I was seeking, in terms of flooring. They have a good size selection at reasonable prices. The competition may have a larger variety, but they are such, at high and sometimes exorbitant prices. Service here is always welcoming and friendly. Stay a way from anything but tile. Their cabinets are from a 3rd party that will never respond or go based on what is listed on their website. Will take weeks to get in touch with anyone and they will never return emails. Save your self tons of headaches and DO not buy. Unfortunately no sales staff will ever help. They will push you into a design and sales but you will never be able to reach anyone. The 3rd hassle is that they use an independent delivery company that won't allow you to inspect any of the cabinets and are extremely rude and disrespectful. Wow! We were blown away when we came looking for shower tile last week. A huge and great selection of everything is in this place. Every kind of tile, wood type flooring, and installation materials like grout, etc, you can imagine. The customer service was excellent. Every person we asked a question, they had an answer. We bought porcelain tiles in March. About 10% extra as recommended. We returned what wasn't used in boxes and some loose. All clean and perfect. Also we bought materials for back splash. We decided not to do the project. It was in the same package and some loose. It was delivered exactly like that by the store. They won't accept initially. I asked for manager and she came once and talked the cashier softly and left. We asked for her to come and explain. She won't come and later they decided to take the return. I had the receipts. Three different people counted the material literally FIVE times. It took about 25 minutes plus to process the refund. Very poor customer service. I will not recommend. read more

I had a really fantastic experience over the course of several months at Floor & Decor. We started shopping for tile beginning in November for a remodel of 3 bathrooms. I didn't have a designer and have never taken on a project like this so my husband and I went in blindly. When we arrived we had the fortune of being greeted by Rosa, the lead designer who helped set up an appointment. I'm not one that normally takes advantage of services like this in stores but what did I know? Nothing. So I took a chance. Rosa helped us design three bathrooms over the course of several visits. She has been with us every step of the way including when I needed help choosing paint colors and wondering whether I could mix black and gold tones. She helped choose tile, vanities and fixtures. She alone has made the project manageable and I am thrilled to share that my bathrooms look incredible. She really goes above and beyond what is required of her job and she absolutely does not have to treat her customers as well as she does. These are the people that build trust in a brand. I am redoing our floors and decided to stop in at floor and decor. I love how many different types of flooring they have and how you can look around on your own. Right now I'm just looking so I didn't buy anything but the prices were amazing. I also saw all the employees helping people and everyone seemed happy and nice. I didn't find a floor I love but I'll keep looking and maybe even go back to see if I missed one. For the past month, this Westhills store has been second home. I have one houses that is going through renovations and another in a couple of months. I am so impressed by the service that I am getting at this store. I want to acknowledge some that have way beyond the help the customers. It was about to close so I know some of the staff must be tired but Eli who was organizing tiles was willing to help me out. Then another staff that whenever I'm in the store is always with a customer or training one of the new staff. Then there is ROSA the designer. She has patiently gone through the whole tile inventory to get me the tiles I needed. I have had over 8 sessions with her and she always has a good attitude, give great feedback. HORRIBLE SERVICE. RUDE MANAGER. I went in to return some sample tiles and purchase what we needed because 7:30pm was the only time that day I could. I helped the lady doing the return by taking out the tiles one by one to speed things up. I had a list of items I was ready to pick up, I wasn't shopping or browsing, but rather ready to load. I couldn't find one item right away, so I went to another, the marble chevron tiles. I had to spend 15 minutes going through the marble chevron tiles because the first 5 boxes were all cracked. And, I was loading them. I found my next tile loaded it. Was trying to move as fast as humanly possible. In this 20 minute period, not once did someone decide to come ask if I needed help finding something, loading something, etc. because they were closing. It wasn't until 8pm when I was close to done when a lazy employee basically said I had to finish up. Where were you 20 minutes ago?! At 8:04pm I was being told by the manager that I needed to check out. I asked him if I could just load the final tiles and he said I could only bring up what's in my cart. At this point I was frustrated because not once did anyone ask for help. Mind you, we're talking about $6,000+ of tile that was being purchased. He then told me I can't keep shopping and I mentioned, I wasn't shopping, I had my list and I was done I just needed to load the final few boxes. Basically told me that I had to bring up what's in my cart or nothing at all. And, at that point I asked him if he wanted me to grab my last few boxes or just leave everything behind and he, with an attitude said "you can leave them, we'll put them away". I get it, the store is closed but I could have been helped and I would have been done sooner. Also, we're talking about 5 minutes, not 15-20. 5 Minutes. The time he spent arguing about what to do, the employee could have loaded the tiles with me on the cart instead of standing there looking at me clueless. Overall, I'll either shop at one of the more premier tile places like Mission Tile or Arizona Tile and get better service, or even go across the way to Home Depot and get better service. But, for someone ready to spend $6,000, to treat them like this, was just flat out rude and obviously they don't care. read more

Extremely disappointed with this experience. We placed our order on Saturday so we could start our project on Tuesday, with workers already scheduled and ready at our home. The delivery was promised for Monday, or Tuesday at the latest, but it never arrived. We called every day for updates and kept getting the same thing--false promises and no clear answers. By Thursday, we were still being told "maybe tomorrow," which forced us to cancel the order. This level of unprofessional service is unacceptable. I would not recommend ordering here if you have a project scheduled. They lost a 5k sale for lack of professionalism. read more

I am an older lady and when I walked in the door and grabbed a flat bed trolly I was amazed and delighted that a young man named Edgar, came to my rescue. He walked me through the store, loaded 16 boxes of tile and then took me to the grout area and find the color I needed, Loaded it and took me to check out. When I realized I had forgotten the sealer, he put a "Still shopping" sign on my paid load and went back with me to find the right product for my job. A god damn miserable place. If you need assistance with their product... forget it. It would seem that all of their employees suffer from the typical big box store blindness toward their customers. Many employees are milling about, moving leaders from here to there, shuffling boxes from place to place, or otherwise "looking busy", but no one and I mean no one will notice you or offer you any help. I could not flag down any of the regular employees, so I walked up to someone who looked like they worked there (had an ID tag but wasn't wearing a red vest, could have been a manager), he was just milling about and did not look like was busy, no customers around. Told him what I was looking for, and he just pointed me in the general direction and said "everything we have is there". Did not bother to walk over there or offer any other assistance. These types of material supply stores suck ass in general in regards to customer service. Looks like you guys fit right in... I hope you go out of business. read more

Victoria - Wood Department Manager Absolutely unacceptable customer service from management. I'm done with Floor & Decor. As a contractor, I spend thousands of dollars every month on materials for my jobs, especially wood products. I used to shop at Floor & Decor regularly, but my experience with Victoria, the Wood Department Manager, has completely ruined that. Every time I come in, she has an attitude problem, acts like helping customers is beneath her, and clearly has no idea what she's doing in her position. She's rude, dismissive, and consistently unhelpful. Honestly, whoever promoted her to manager made a huge mistake. I'm not just a walk-in customer I'm a consistent buyer and professional contractor who brings in serious business. But if this is the type of management Floor & Decor allows to represent them, then I'm taking my money and business somewhere else. I'll try to keep this brief but please note that details are being left out. I ordered custom stair treads back in January. I had a goal of getting the stairs done before my second baby arrives. Floor and Decor uses a 3rd party vendor for custom orders. After weeks of waiting, they let me know that the stairs came back the wrong color so they had to reorder it. They said it should take about a week. Instead it has been WEEKS and still no stair treads. I'm now past my due date and have had to cope with the fact that there will be banging and loud noises to get the stairs done when I have a new born to take care of and sleep for newborns and parents in precious. I talked to Floor and Decor today and basically, they have no clue when these stairs will ship. They kept saying they're waiting for the tracking number as if it's ready to ship but then I would clarify, "but you don't even know if they have finished production yet. Is that correct?" And the store associate would tell me that's correct. I have been as patient as I could be with them and held off on writing negative reviews and tried to be understanding but this is just ridiculous. Even my contractor has been reaching out to me like "heeeeey what's going on?" This is a horrible, horrible experience. No one has offered me anything as compensation for this horrible mess. Normally I'd negotiate this sort of thing but at 10 months pregnant with a toddler to take care, I don't have the energy. I just want the stairs done. read more

I would like to say the service and dedication Sonia has for helping me to be able to get my order to my jobsite. She is REALLY Amazing. She differently went above and beyond. She also have such great energy and love working with her! Story is that we have ordered with Floor and Decor and usally everything goes smoothly except for my last order with 1 out of 3 items did not reach my jobsite. We were looking for it and found out it never got delivered fast forward we want to set up the delivery but Floor and Decor Woodland hills does not have so we needed to get it from another Floor and Decor which Sonia said i will need to pay for the delivery which i can only do with the customer service. Terrible experience. I bought a box of laminate tile and when I got home to install it I found out it was too thick. When I came back to return it Floor and Decor refused to return my money First by claiming one of the tiles was missing which was false then informed me that because box was opened the product was "acclimated" and not returnable.
