On June 3, 2026, we visited a Living Spaces furniture store and purchased a dresser and a nightstand. During the transaction, the salesperson informed us that on the morning of delivery, Living Spaces would contact us, provide a delivery time window, and offer us delivery time options. Instead, the day before delivery, we were notified of a fixed three-hour delivery window and told we would be charged a fee if we chose to reschedule. When I requested to cancel the order because the delivery arrangements differed from what we had been told at the time of purchase, I was informed that a cancellation fee would also apply. Ultimately, we changed our plans and accepted the delivery. However, this experience left us extremely disappointed. We feel that the information provided during the sales process was misleading, and the fees associated with rescheduling or canceling left us with little flexibility. Based on this experience, we do not anticipate making future furniture purchases from Living Spaces. This type of sales practice is unacceptable and does not reflect the level of customer service we expected. read more

Buyer BEWARE! If you want a cheaply made piece of furniture that won't last a year, then by all means, buy here. This company is a major scam. I purchased a "custom fabric couch" with warranty. It split at the seems within a month of having the couch. When I tried to start a claim, they notified me that they couldn't honor the warranty because the couch had been discontinued. Fast forward a couple months I am now dealing with a poorly/cheaply/lazy made couch that I'm constantly having to fix the threading. This experience has been so frustrating. There are several sales associates by the door who greet the customers and assist them with their needs. Service is great in this store. Living Spaces is the worst furniture company ever, stay far far away. Bought a couch, but took 2 hours due to the terrible salespeople they have in there with no training. It's so easy to see they are trying to scam you and lie to you for their own gain. When I finally bought the couch I wanted, (they were trying to sell me a floor model with no warranty) it was going to be delivered in the MIDDLE of the day on Wednesday at 11-2pm. Obviously, I couldn't be home because I have a job, like a normal person. They wouldn't let me change the delivery time and said they'd charge me if I was going to do that. We bought a very nice recliner at the store in Panorama City. We had it delivered and setup. Two weeks later it wouldn't work. The installer crossed the transformer wires with the linkage under the chair. So when we operated the chair after about 2 weeks the linkage wore though the electrical wire insulation and short circuited. The chair no longer works and the store will do nothing to repair the chair or give us a new transformer which is what we want. DS read more

Purchased Coffee table, end table, outdoor modular sofa and two outdoor swivel chairs. The crew that delivered and set up the outdoor furniture did not install the bolts that hold the chair back to the seat on the chairs nor the bolts meant to hold the couch back to seat. I had to submit a warranty claim, send photos, make multiple phone calls and send multiple emails. Really? Living Spaces - Zero Flexibility, Zero Customer Service Extremely disappointed with my experience at Living Spaces. Despite knowing that furniture pricing has significant markup, the store refused any negotiation whatsoever -- not even minimal flexibility. It was a hard "NO" across the board. To make matters worse, we were informed that a transition/wedge piece included in the floor model configuration is being discontinued. If we wanted that exact configuration, our only option was to purchase the floor model, which is unreasonable for a major furniture purchase. On top of that, delivery was another letdown. They would not deliver 29 miles without charging because their cutoff is 25 miles -- a difference of only four miles -- with absolutely no willingness to work with us. Finally, they wouldn't even include a $19 throw pillow as a courtesy on a large purchase. No goodwill, no compromise, no effort to earn the sale. Furniture shopping is competitive, and many retailers understand that customer service and flexibility matter. Living Spaces clearly does not. If you expect negotiation, reasonable delivery accommodation, or basic customer appreciation, you may want to shop elsewhere. Super frustrated. I need to get a hold of Jimmy, manager, about my cart that he opened to me. I cannot get a hold of the store. When I call the store, I get routed to the corporate customer service, which states that they are not connected to any of the stores. I do not have the flexibility to go to the store (I already went in twice and have not been able to make my purchase due to several issues on the stores end). Also, a floor model had damage but was priced reasonably lower... pickup was easy and smooth at the loading dock in the back. Plenty of parking in the front. (+) Delivery for the rest of our furniture order was fine, only to the driveway though. Had to get some extra hands to help move large couch into our living room (-) Expected more Memorial Day deals and discounts tbh. $$$ (-) Couch legs / risers were hidden in a zipper compartment underneath, wasn't obvious and had to call them to find out. Oh man. What an absolute joke of a store. As someone born and raised in the Valley, who had his family home remodeled maybe 15 years ago and went here many times with my family to furnish a lot of our house back then, it's a COMPLETELY different store now. For those who remember, they used to have a kid's play area to keep children occupied so the sales reps can effectively help the parents. It used to be POPPING in here, but today, Memorial Day, when they supposedly give huge discounts, it was so dead. I see why. All the sales reps back then were professional and well-groomed, and they took pride in their job. Now it looks like Living Spaces set up a tent on Pierce College's campus with a sign saying "Easy Job, Pays above Minimum Wage." Half the staff were stoners in their early 20's covered in tattoos, just aimlessly walking around the store and pretending to talk to each other about important job stuff. I guess management wasn't willing to keep paying for actual adults with families and a rep on the line to work there anymore. Prepare to get ignored, other than the guy at the front yelling "HIWELCOMETOLIVINGSPACESYOUGUYSNEEDHELP!" But only if you come as a family. Single people are totally ignored lol. I feel really bad for anyone buying a home now in the Valley. I don't know WHERE you guys are supposed to go for quality furniture that's reasonably priced. Ashley's is better, but much smaller as a store. This place used to have solid wood furniture and now it's like Home Goods tried to poop out a luxury furniture extension of its store. I wanted to leave a really great review because I had the most amazing experience at this particular Living Spaces. I had bought something recently at the Vista store and the order wasn't done properly, and since I happened to be in LA, I went in to look at the couch I wanted. From the moment I arrived, the manager, Chris, and the Upholstery manager, Brian, went ABOVE AND BEYOND to remedy the mistake made from the other store. They were patient and understanding and made the whole exchange process seamless. Even though I live in SD, I plan on ONLY going to Brian and Chris for any future purchases. Their service truly was five star. I've never had an experience like that. I wish all stores had the same quality of customer service and attention as the LA store. But I also know it's Brian and Chris who make me never want to shop anywhere else!! read more

Be careful when you submit a claim. I have the 5 year warranty which includes 60 Day reporting time From UNITERS INSURANCE. Incident happened either June 15th or 17th and I put the claim in on July 2nd. Which would be 17 or 19 days. And I sent them my signed receipt with a copy of the warranty! UNITERS says my warranty is 30 days to report. And that I submitted the incident happened over 60 days. Numerous calls and emails to both Living Spaces and UNITERS. They never return your call. We made numerous calls in attempt to reach customer service... their couches are such poor quality. An update to my review: I didn't hear from the furniture repair people until today (the 14th), which is 12 days after I reported the problem. The repairman called me and said he needed to come out to inspect it and see if he can fix it, and if not he'll write a report. I asked okay, when can you come? Wednesday the 21st, he says. I asked, are you kidding? I have waited for 12 days and it's still going to take another week before you come? His reply: What can I say, I just got the order five minutes ago from the warranty company, and that's my soonest appointment. Then I asked him if he had received the details of what's wrong with my sofa from the warranty people, and he said something with the woodwork? NO, I said, it's the buttons that raise and lower the footrest. Oh, he said, sorry, looking at the wrong order. Did you get the pictures I took? No, they didn't send them to me. So I made him give me his email address and sent the photos directly to him. This is a sad state of affairs and Living Spaces should be EMBARRASSED to provide such shoddy customer service. read more

We went in to buy new living room furniture and spent 45 minutes being completely ignored. At least 10 employees walked past us without acknowledging us, and one was lounging on a sofa, scrolling through her phone. No help. No check-ins. When we finally went to the information desk, Alejandra, who said she is one of the managers was dismissive. She told us that because staff do not work on commission, they "don't always approach customers." If this is self-service, it should be clearly stated because if I had known, I would have gone straight to IKEA. She stayed seated, offered nothing, and made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. I work in retail customer service, and this is not how you treat customers. After nearly an hour of being ignored, there were countless ways to help a frustrated shopper, and none were attempted. Carson, who is also a supposed manager sitting next to her, said he would help but quickly made it clear he had no intention of genuinely assisting us. He defended Alejandra and tried to make it seem like we were in the wrong. He begrudgingly got up to "assist," but it was only to stop me from talking. I was completely at their mercy, and he made no effort to understand our needs. When we reached the sectionals, he asked for the configuration, gave me no chance to ask questions or order a chair as well, and abruptly said, "Okay, let's go to the cashier," powerwalking ahead with cold, dismissive, unprofessional body language. We left without buying anything. As we walked out, I asked Alejandra for the head store manager's name and ended up interrupting a conversation in which she was speaking negatively about me to another employee. It was almost as if she needed to get her version out instead of evaluating her own customer service skills. The other employee froze, then awkwardly told my husband they liked his jacket, which was just a plain black windbreaker. I later sent an email to the address she provided; however, she said it is a general email for all managers. If both she and Carson are indeed managers, I am concerned it will be deleted or not reach the right person. That is why I am leaving this review--to make sure someone at the store sees it and takes these serious customer service issues seriously. Living Spaces' website promises: "Swing by our Van Nuys location today, and we look forward to helping you personalize your living spaces." On 2/18/2026 We went in to purchase a sectional sleeper the first thing we did was to tell the salesman is it needs to come in through a window he got the store manager Chris Mallon he said it was not a problem it was a special order and several weeks went by and we got a text message to schedule a delivery when the delivery person came he said that they would not deliver through the window quote we do not work for living spaces they will say anything to make a sale we called to get a resolution and they said we had to wait 24to 48 hours to get a call back when they called back 4 days later at 7:15 at night we were told they would not deliver through the window but they would deliver it to our porch. I am 74 and took the sectional out of the window and put it on the curb for trash pick up alone. They do not care and not helpful the store manager never responded to me check their ratings. 1.4 BEWARE!!!!!!! They called back later that evening and offered 150.00 off of a 3,353.57 order we responded 500.00 off due to the exact cost to hire 2 people to help. Later that evening I got a text message showing a full refund. Chris Mallon and Living Spaces really did not care not a way to do business. Amazing how quickly you respond to a truthful comment when you corporate office was the one that told me it would take 24 to 48 hours for someone to respond it was your management team that stood by you delivery company not to deliver through a window ground level. A warning!! Before you buy anything there, be sure you have a list of all the possible questions regarding guarantees and return policy and ALL of the features good and BAD of whatever you are buying. Also, before signing, ask to have a manager talk to you to reassure you that everything the salesperson told you or promised you is a true fact. Many of the salespeople are relatively new at their job. Then walk away and talk among yourselves to see if you are comfortable or have any other questions or reservations about what you are thinking of buying. Also , ask if there are any sales coming up in next 60 days on what you are buying and get in writing that the store is Not. Remember they are salespeople who are on commission incentives and want to make the sale. These are big purchase so please do research and be totally comfortable in what you are buying. read more

Interesting concept here. Have never been in a furniture store where I had to look for a sales associate for help. Asked if they carry wool rugs and the best that they could do was to direct me to go check at the kiosk, that there were 1000 rugs to peruse. Didn't have time to look through 1000 so went on to the furniture. Saw lots of salespeople walking around although not one came to offer assistance until I went looking for help again. This time we were pointed in the direction of some sofas and were told to look around that area. I can look on line at home or go some place else where the employees are trained to give a bit more guidance and hands on assistance. read more

She didn't off their bank merchant therefore I got charged on my credit card and theirs. When I ask to cancel sale on my creditcard she didn't tell me it would take up to 19 days for a transaction that took 1 minute to charge me. Turned out the salesman didn't ring up the order correctly and the price I paid and thought I was paying for a full table was just for the base. Worst customer service I've ever seen from a furniture company. We purchased a couch from them. Couch didn't even last a year and broke down mechanically with the plug in features for the charging station on the side of the couch. They no longer sold the model so we could only get a credit for a new couch. Ended up having to pay several hundreds of dollars more to get a comparable couch. Now, less than six months later, the couch is already malfunctioning and doesn't go up or down anymore. Have tried for 2 months to get someone to come out and replace the section of the couch. I loved my experience at the Living Spaces. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by my rep Blanca. She was friendly, extremely helpful and the best part not too overbearing. I loved that she wasn't try to oversell us or corner us into a buy. Her tips and advice were all to try to match our preferences and wants which was a very comfortable couch within our budget of $3k or less. So she kindly asked us, "do you want me to show you a few based on your preferences?" After looking onto the vast floor or what it seemed to be 100 couches I was immediately quick to say, "Yes!" I normally have a silly game I like to play when I go to hotels and call it the "butt test." The "butt test" is when you have to sit on every seat or couch at a hotel and you rate it 1-5, with 5 being the most comfortable. Hotels usually have most of their seats & couches around a 1-3 comfort range. With newly getting married, I really wanted my first home furniture purchase to be at a 4+ range for a couch I would sit on everyday, most of the hour when I am home. I wanted this couch to be very welcoming, plush, and almost hugging me to embrace a welcome back when I sat on it each time. Blanca helped us narrow it down to 2 couches but in the end the Everett won. The Everett is made with down feathers and is insulated carefully with a special cover that doesn't allow the feathers to escape. She pointed out that it is also okay for asthmatic friends & family to safely sit on without getting an asthmatic attack. This was very reassuring to know. She guided us on how it was important to check and compare the measurements of the couch to the dimensions of our door frame and living room. After a little trip back home to double check and back we returned to purchase the Everett with a few simple decisions of the fabric of the couch, the fabric of the pillows, which way the chase will be "facing" when "looking at the couch," do we want a 5 year cleaning warranty, etc. I didn't know such details went into buying a couch but I am glad we had her to guide us through it with ease. We were very happy with our purchase and as she helped to explain most of their couches will be a "custom" order since you are crafting the couch with all the details I named above. So for all custom orders she clarified would take up anywhere from 2-4 weeks. It was great to know all of this up front so that we didn't have false expectations of when to receive our item. I am happy Blanca was there to help and I recommend you seek her out if you ever go into this location. Extremely happy to end up with the Everett which I give a 4 on the "butt test." ;] read more

It's just never been a good experience here. We bought a rug and the warranty a couple of years ago. The good news is the warranty service was very helpful in getting a new credit on a rug, the bad news is that it is almost impossible to find or even touch a rug that we like unless one we are going to buy outright. So let me get this straight -- I need to buy a rug simply on looks to have it then brought down and then I can feel it? Can you get me a ladder or something? I mean work with me please. The service here is hit and miss. Things just seem overpriced but the service is the kicker. It makes furniture shopping a nightmare. We had to come back to figure all this out and the second time -- we dealt with female salespersons and the manager (also female) and they were night and day. For some reason any guy working there is just plain lazy and the women here know exactly how to help you. They helped us pick a rug out and get one that worked for our budget and made sure we were happy in choosing what was right for us. So again hit or miss.
