DO NOT SHOP HERE !!! They delivered the wrong mattress, we have called and called the store and were told the "Supervisor " was going to call us back and never did. I have been calling the store multiple times and the customer service number and no one answers. The phone just keeps ringing or you're kept on hold listing to music. I still haven't gotten a call back from the supervisor. Not only that but I had asked for a bed set with storage on the bottom I was told the model we got doesn't have storage. I just moved into a new apartment and for the first time in my life had the money to furnish it the way I wanted to. I went to Ashley because I thought since they have the best furniture they would treat you well. For the most part my experience was positive. Omar met me at the door. I had already been in there before and decided what I wanted. A couch, loveseat and bed frame totally around 4 grand. I bought the couch first and Omar was amazing. What turned me off to this store was their slovenly dressed, rude manager Josh. It was advertised inline that furniture could be delivered on Sat or Sun. Omar went to speak to Josh about this and he comes out of his little office and is rude and nasty. I almost did not buy the couch because of him but Omar smoothed it over. Omar took my information for the loveseat and bed. I was to call back when I was ready to purchase. I did. Josh answered the phone. I asked for Omar and was told he was there and placed on hold for a LONG time. No one came back to the phone so I called back. Josh answered again. I ask for Omar. I was put on hold again. Then, Josh came back and told me Omar went home after about 30 minutes of wasting my time. This soured my wanting to deal with this Ashley ever again. Omar lost out on another 2000 he could have gotten from me and the store lost that revenue as well. Josh is awful. He makes the store less than. On a positive, Omar my salesperson was amazing. They delivered my couch on time, ( even though I had to take a day off from work for it) The delivery guys had a but of trouble getting in my apt but they opened the box , took out some pillows to make it work. Not the place you want to order furniture from. Only worth getting if there is a large sale, as everything is very over priced. If you set foot in the store, you will be bombarded by a dozen salesmen fighting for your sale. They actually will try to convince you to get help from them over other salesmen/women. When all I want is to be left alone, no customer cares who gets the commission. The delivery was absolutely botched. Forgotten items the first time and wrong delivery times the next. This place is managed by buffoons. Will be asking for some type of refund, almost a month and they managed to deliver a piece of my furniture, and cannot manage to deliver the rest of it for assembly. A joke of a company. read more

You get decent furniture for a good price, especially if you buy sets. You also get pushy sales people who stalk you around the store, you get overbooked delivery folks who fall so far behind they can't even finish setting up all your furniture and you get bad customer service if you call after your purchase. Let me specify on that last portion: I bought furniture November 9. I still haven't received it. I was told it'd ship November 17. Then told December 1. I call today and they tell me it's being shipped today. December 11. When I ask the lady if she can confirm it actually is being shipped today because I've obviously been told incorrect information twice now, she became combative. She would say "Like I said, the computer says it is being delivered today but I can't promise anything" repeatedly. When I asked her to stop saying that, especially "Like I said", she then goes "Like I mentioned before....". That condescension just irritated me beyond belief. I had to ask for a manager, who actually said he'd try and confirm with the warehouse that it is being delivered. Why the previous person I spoke to wouldn't do this for me is beyond me. Horrible customer service! I had to storm out of the store. The associate told us that we can get ANY dining table set for free if we buy an Orthopedic mattress. I knew it was too good to be true. I even asked what are the limits of that, which she failed to answer. When the "manager" comes to talk, the manager is so rude and says "How can you expect a $3000 + dining set to be free if you're buying a $2800+ mattress?!?" Umm hello? I didn't expect anything when I walked into the store. Poor customer service and overall terrible experience with ASHLEY's Furniture. We ordered 4 chairs in December and received them a month later. 2 out of the 4 chairs arrived with missing parts/faulty parts. We called ASHLEY's, explaining the problem and they informed us that a "tech" would come to fix the problem. The tech guy was sent 2 whole months after we called and he didn't even fix the chairs! He only took pictures of the chairs. He ordered parts for the chairs and we've been calling ASHLEY's every 2 weeks for the last 2 months and no one has any updates of when or where the parts for these chairs are. It's been 4 months and we haven't been able to use 2 out of the 4 chairs that we ordered and I think that's just ridiculous. read more

I cant say enough amazing things and words of how I was treated at your store in Northridge. The sales manager, Emad, was an absolute professional and not to mention lifesaver. WORRST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I bought 2 Mattresses (Ashley's Brand) for $1000 each almost 3 years ago and paid additional $400 for 5 years extend warranty. Now, These mattresses are splitting and falling apart as you see in the pictures and this not supposed to happen to a mattress for $1000 worth after 3 years. I tried to call customer service at corporate offices and no one really helped me with my problem; I even tried to call the store many time to talk to manger but he refused to talk to me and the staff keep saying he is busy. This not the way to treat a customer who already spent $5000 in store!! Furthermore, these mattresses has a flaw and they are damaged; this is a product issue but Ashley furniture is refusing to take them back or exchange them for me. According to CA Law; companies can not sell any merchandise with Flaw to customers if they do they are responsible for refund and exchange. I guess, they don't even care. I will take this claim to the next level since I can't sleep on my own bed and have to take the couch for past month. This was one of the worst experiences that I ever had and I am not going to shop this company. At beginning when you want to make a purchase they show how nice and good they are but in reality they don't care about customer service and just want your money. Michelle B was the only helpful sales clerk in the whole store and tried to help my husband and I buy a sales floor item since they said we could order it, but it wouldn't be available for three whole months. What a nightmare!!!!!!. It gets worst and worst. We came in back in May and we were looking for bunk beds for my kids. Heyam and a lady that is from india (i dont recall her name so i apologize if in order to prevent you from being helped by them required an ethnicity reference) helped us out. Didn't have any I liked and we needed a new bed anyways so we looked around and found one that my husband and I fell in love with. Now we needed a mattress. Heyam and the other lady persisted on a Temper pedic one. She said if it doesnt work out that she would help us. Top of the line mattress. I left the store feeling great and willing to send everyone over to Heyam and her supervisor. Total was $8k. Within days I received my furniture. To my surprise, the bed was extremely tall. Then with the mattress on top it was even bigger!! I'm 5'4" and the bed reached at or above my waist. The bed frame was nicked at several places and I took photos and tried to reach customer service which by the way they are impossible to get a hold of. I just needed a smaller shorter mattress since the one Heyam chose for me was the tallest most expensive at 14inches tall. I loved the bed the solution was replacing the mattress with a 10in one. Here is where the nightmare begins. I went the next day to the store and told them I needed to just switch the mattress and they kept pushing me for over an hour to get a different bed frame even though the frame wasn't the issue. Heyam and her supervisor said and I quote. " We always get complaints from customers for this exact bed for being too tall". After an hour and me not budging and wanting to return the temper pedic they finally told me they don't do refunds or replacements. To my surprise since Heyam said it would not be a problem. At this point it's been 2 hours and I'm speaking to another manager by the name or Maya or Mya who is annoyed with me already. I put it a claim with my bank at this point for deceitful selling of the mattress. MAYA tells me I won't be helped and only solution is keep mattress and buy new bed. My husband and I decided to give up and just buy a new bed frame. I bought a modern one low to the ground. Well Ashley acknowledged wrong doing and returned 2k to me from my bank claim. So the frame was picked up 3 weeks later and I was going to receive my new bed. The people who picked up my old frame left my home damaged. I submitted a claim and took photos. My new bed is not here and I call to see what's happening. Turns out my frame will not be delivered unless I pay Ashley the 2k they returned to me. I have an Ashley credit card with a charge for a bed that I will not be getting. Almost $8k!!! THEY LITERALLY HELD MY BED FRAME RANSOM. I'm stuck with a huge charge,no bed frame, a mattress on the floor and damage on my home. I called Ashleys credit card Synchrony and tell them what's going on. (READ THE FINE PRINT EVERYWHERE) since the fine print on my credit card terms and conditions stated that deceitful selling and the store not living up to its promise gave us the chance to appeal all the charges. Maya said I was shit out of luck basically and I would not get way which was return the mattress. Well.... I submitted photos and copies of paperwork from them and I won. Months later, I got a call from the store that my mattress would be picked up. They picked it up and also tried to take my kids mattresses as well!! I told them no I need those. It's just the king mattress. After several weeks of being on an inflatable mattress I checked to see my credit card balance. It's still almost $8k!! All the charges are still there and I still don't have a bed frame!!! I call synchrony and tell them to take off those charges since I only have 2 twin mattresses from them thats all and the new bed will not be delivered to me even though I paid. They created a claim and to wait for Ashley to correct charges. Fast forward to last week. I still have the charges. We are in August now. I still owe 8k so I went to the store to get them to do it then and there. They couldn't change it because it shows I still have two mattresses (like it even matters!!!) I wanted those two! They finally gave me a paper with the items they took back and how much my balance would now be and it would take 2 billing cycles for it to be adjusted. I'm so disappointed in Heyam, Maya, and their other supervisor. I assume everyone there is the same since there's so many bad reviews for different salesmen. Oh remember how they damaged my home? I originally had my delivery scheduled for a Saturday. I received a phone call from Ashley's saying theyll accommodate me sooner. The change was made (I took the time off from work) and because I missed their call to confirm (2 days earlier), they cancelled me (even though I called and was on hold for almost 2 hours same day). If you make it past this round then you have to deal with their ultra bad customer service line. I understand covid blah blah blah, but at least have the courtesy to call me and tell me you don't give a crap about delivering my furniture at the time you promised me (estimated time was two months after purchase). I've now called three times and each time keep getting the same crap response that delivery is pushed out further. They were courteous enough to offer to deliver 3/4 of my sectional sofa. My only problem is I wasn't getting the middle pet of my sofa, and the rep thought it would be a good idea to appease my concern. Would you be okay if McDonald's told you here's your burger, but come back in a week for your fries?! We also made the mistake of buying a bedroom set that didn't have proper holes to build. The technician that was supposed to check it never came. If I wouldn't have called they would have never bothered to try and send someone else out. I ordered a soda and live seat combo back on May 25th. All went well in the store... they said I would receive my Furniture by June 30th. Great since we were moving around then. They said I would get a call to confirm delivery. None of which came. In the first of July I tried calling, spent hours (yes hours) on hold. No answer. I gave up after 3+hours. Tried another number. Same thing. I tried the next day. After over an hour I got through to a person. They said that my loveseat would be in the warehouse on the 29th (of July), and my sofa the 8th of Aug. so I cancelled my order for a full refund. She said I would get a call to confirm within 48 hours. Never happened, and still no refund. I went to Bob's discount furniture and got both by the arriving by the 22nd of July. Worse store ever. My family and I purchased a new couch Nov 20, 2020. We were given a date for Dec 28th, 2020 delivery. My husband went to the store and demanded to know what was going on, he spoke very clearly and we were assured it would now come Jan 18. I bought two Temperpedic Cloud Cooling Pillows that Fatima the sales girl highly recommended, she said these pillows were the best and were very popular with the customers, of course the most expensive, too. I tried it by resting my head on it, I was sold, they felt amazing... I received these pillows from the delivery guy, it was not what I experienced at the store, these pillows were completely different, they were terrible, the moment you rest your head on the pillow they go completely flat, no head or neck support, like laying on a piece of paper, your better off laying your head directly on the mattress. I called the store to address the issue, and spoke to Pablo who then transferred me to the manager, Taylor, she was very rude and condescending and said that the sales girl most likely made a mistake and ordered the wrong pillows, she said that had to be the problem and at that moment she hung-up on me and did not call me back, I called her several times and she refused to take my calls. I called two days after and spoke to Pablo and he said, "I heard Taylor talking to another manager about this and she will take care of it and will call you back immediately, well she never did. I have left several messages for Taylor and each time I'm guaranteed she will call back, nothing... This place has terrible customer service. Starting with the sales girl, whom rushes you to purchase the most expensive item and once she is processing you transaction she's already talking to the next customer and totally ignoring you. She literally walked away from me to help someone else and didn't say a word, I asked if she was done and she said not yet and told the other customer to wait so she can finish with me. If I could give them a BIG 0 I would. Stay away from this store!! The management team lie and are incompetent. My parents purchased a couch and a love seat from them, and upon delivery, one of the cords to the reclining sofa was cut. It wasn't damaged; you can clearly see that someone deliberately cut it. So I called their customer service number and the lady told me they would follow up with what happened and get us a replacement asap. Well I'm sure she just moved on to the next customer because when I called them back a day later to follow up, they had no idea what I was talking about. Fast forwarding through many calls later and 2 weeks later, we receive our replacement couch; they tried to deliver the wrong one. Apparently someone cannot match what's written on the order to what is on the couch. After another week, we finally receive our couch. I guess third time was the charm. The sales manager we spoke with is named Jeff. He promised my parents a $200 gift card for the trouble, and has not sent anything. We have called the store and asked him on 4 separate occasions; not one call back. It's pretty obvious he is avoiding this situation and hoping that we just give up. I swear I will NEVER use this store again. Let me start from the beginning. I had the PUSHIEST sales rep Heyam who rushed me to the register for a $2500 couch. Which I was fine spending. She told me if it didn't work I could tell the furniture guys to send a piece of it back if it didn't fit. She tried to make me feel good by throwing in free 5 year protection plan, which was cool but they brought my furniture and it had no business being in my house the chaise and the love seat were connected. It was supposed to be a U shape. I got a bed with a leg. Next I told the delivery guy that the sales rep told me I could take it back and bring a shorter one. They said no that's not true you can call the store within 72 hours to exchange. I call the store and they tell me THATS not true as well. At this point I'm going to lose my mind. They agree to let me exchange it so I went after work at 7pm. I was paired with a super nice and patient guy named Vahan. Such a sweet guy. Took his time to draw out diagrams and make sure everything fit based on my measurements. Much more detailed than Heyam who only cared about her sales. I literally have waited 2 weeks for this new couch and keep in mind it was less expensive because it was less pieces, but makes more sense in my house. It's ALSO the wrong furniture!!!!! I'm literally mind blown!!! I don't know how the hell you mess this up twice!! I was pissed off enough that I spent 2 hours after work at Ashley trying to be as specific as possible and this is what I get!!! I will never give them another dime. It's not worth the headache. Just moved to CA and needed new furniture for my den. I wanted to get nice furniture that'll last for a while, so we decided to visit Ashley Furniture. We first met with one associate and she was giving me very broad ideas. I was looking for a power reclining couch, bedroom set and a new mattress. The first associate we used was not all that helpful. She gave us general furniture styles that we didn't like too much. We asked if there's a way to change out the fabric and colors, but the associate just said no. She wouldn't even give us any special discounts. We continued on to the sleep section of the store and I was considering on getting a Tempurpedic mattress. I was a bit lost on what type of bed I'd like until I met another associate named Patricia. She was extremely helpful on what I need since I have bad sleep problems. She suggested a Tempur Breeze mattress and I loved it. Once I made my decision, Patricia said she'll be right back and get the manager to see if there's any special discounts available. We met the manager Jeff who was also unbelievably nice and helpful. He discounted all of my furniture I chose and also gave me gift cards as appreciation. Even though the total cost was pricey, the ease and convenience of the purchase was actually very enjoyable. Jeff and Patricia were just beyond helpful on everything. They made my furniture choices very quick, I was done with everything in less than an hour. Overall, Ashley Furniture is a great company. Awesome staff and customer service. I'd definitely suggest them for other friends and family. Update: Had to bump down a star because the delivery screwed me over on my furniture. The Ashley staff gave me the runaround saying some pieces are not available because of a power outage and have to schedule it for another day. Only my bed frame, nightstand, mattress and dresser was delivered, I still have to wait for my power base of the bed and my couch. I already checked out of my hotel and now have nowhere to sleep. They also called me about 5 times reminding me that they will schedule something tomorrow. I was already frustrated about the missing furniture, and they decided to make it worse. read more
