My son and I were browsing around for furniture in this Ashley over the weekend. They had a few sofa sets we liked. They were willing to do a military discount but some of the options we like still seem a bit steep. No discounts can be made on outlet pieces. We did like on item that fell into this category and two other sets that were not and could be discounted. We all know, I love a great deal! We didn't make a purchase just yet as they were our first stop. Service was great, not pushy and understood where we are coming from in our decision making process. Do we want something to suffice for the time being or a larger investment set to ship around from town to town... is sort of what we need to figure out at the moment. If we do move forward with a set from here, I'll update my review after shipping/delivery. read more

She was very knowledgeable about the products they have, and she took the time to recommend items and viewpoints we typically wouldn't have considered, without being pushy or just trying to "close a deal". She listened to our wants/needs and was very easy to talk to. She made our purchasing process very simple and we will absolutely be returning to see her for our next purchase! I don't recommend this location. The table was damage and they replaced it with another damage table. I contacted cs and they have not replied, there was no solution. They expect us to pay for a damage table. It was not a good service. The people are not very friendly. It's all business. You buy ,you leave and goodbye. read more

My husband and I just moved to Auburn from South Florida and were in need of furniture. I've never had better customer service then until our visit to Ashley. I was blown away from the first time we walked in til delivery. We did have a few minor issues with the furniture that was delivered, but when I went back this month to explain my issue, it was amazing how smooth & easy they handled it. I have to give a huge compliment to Kenyetta Parker at the front desk. She was so professional, kind and just a pleasure to talk to. She made me feel like I was important and she really cared to make me happy with our experience and purchase. Our original sales person was not working and Christie Labarre took care of us just like we were herclient. Just the whole experience was great. I've seen negative reviews on here but when you have a experience like I did you have to say something. I will be back to Ashley because of how we were treated. read more

I would never ever ever again ordered anything from this place.. The salesman we had told us a lie he told us that our tables would be in by aug 11 which is today and come to find out that was a lie. WE ordered a kitchen table set to only get our chairs and no table then they told me that if I didnt get my chairs they could sell them told told me that my table would come in 3 weeks from today. The only reason I am giving this 1 star is because of the local manager. I've never seen such an arrogant prick that talked down to his employees and cussed at them in front of the customers. The floor staff was amazing! Sadly the lady who helped us is leaving because of it, which I saw with my own eyes. If I hadn't been working with Tony Gardner for the past few weeks I would have walked out and driven a hour to Columbus and purchased from that store. I will be reporting this up the chain. No employee deserves to be degraded in front of customers lol or that. Until there is a management change, my purchases will be made elsewhere! read more

This has got to be the worst furniture shopping experience by far! I found a bed that liked in the store and paid for and received a receipt for it and as I waited for assistance to pick the bed up I was told that the bed had already been purchased by another customer! I was told sorry and sent on my way. No one offered to help me find the bed at another store nor did they offer any assistance in finding another comparable bed! That's not even the bad part, it's been 3 weeks and I have still not received my refund from my credit card purchase!! read more

Before informing my review of this specific Ashley Furniture store, I would like to say that Tony, the sales associate that helped me with my furniture selection was wonderful. He, however, was the only one that was genuinely interested in helping me. After spending over $5,000 at this location, there was an unfortunate mix up with my furniture delivery. This was in fact due to employee error, as I had created 2 separate purchases that accumulated to the 5k. On my delivery day, after scheduling multiple other services around the fact that my furniture would be present, only 1/4 of furniture showed up. The movers themselves were wonderful and felt terribly because of the mistake. However, those at the Opelika location were far beyond useless and proceeded to lie to me regarding scheduling a delivery. I had multiple people drive 10 hours to help me move, had cable arriving to install etc. but of course that was near useless due to my empty apartment. On that day, we called the Opelika location countless times and they assured us that there was in fact a truck coming from Phoenix City that could bring my furniture by the end of the day...we checked in with them on the hour and supposedly something was coming. However, at 4:45 (end of business day) some manager from their "DC location" was calling who sounded vaguely familiar to the Ashley manager in Opelika-- it was even calling from a 334 local area code! Their explanation was that there was another mix up and that another truck was never scheduled to come. So...after wasting my entire day waiting on furniture that they never had the intent on delivering, they promised to send me a $100 customer appreciation card....Considering I had already purchased $5,000 worth of furniture and their lying staff, there was no way that it was even close to covering the inconvenience. Next, after speaking with the manager they explained they would reimburse my shipping cost-- let me remind you that the more you spend, the cheaper your delivery-- so a lousy $100 back to compensate for the missing $4,000 worth of items. Finally, days later my items came delivered by the same movers... they were delightful and again apologetic. After speaking with the manager again on the phone, they promised they would additionally refund the purchase of my couch, a $599 purchase. However, since having my things delivered, such manager is "unavailable" to take calls, and his associate answering the phone even responded with "You got your furniture, isn't that enough?" This location is an absolute scam. Besides Tony and their delivery staff, they lie and make empty promises that claim good customer service. read more

I'm originally from Texas and have shopped many times at Ashley's and they're more than willing to negotiate a price for cash payment. Honestly any store can usually give you something off the price they sell for. When I went to the one in Opelika they refused to negotiate their prices at all. I simply asked for 10% off and said I would pay in cash but after "talking" to the supervisor 2x they said there was nothing they could do for me. I ended up finding the same piece at JC Penny's and not only did they match Ashley's price but the lady even went as for as searching for extra discount coupons I could use. They had better customer service, they were more caring and the delivery charge, as well as the exact same insurance policy was cheaper than Ashley's. JC Penny's carries a lot of Ashley's furniture online. Check them before actually dealing with Ashley's. You'll be happy you did. read more

First off, I want to thank Tony for his great customer service. I was looking for the right shape of L couch for my front room,and although there wasn't exactly what I wanted on the sales floor, he was able to piece together exactly what I wanted and order everything up. When you are serious about buying furniture, the process can take quite a while sometimes. Make sure you get someone that is patient, asks you about your preferences, and keeps you informed throughout the process. Tony did all of this and I very much appreciated it. Thanks again. read more
