This store used to be a Walmart many years ago without groceries. So if you know Walmart stores with both groceries and general merchandise and take away the grocery side, then you can imagine how big it is. There are so many vendor booths throughout the store with a HUGE variety of things. Almost any vintage things you can imagine may be found there. It's really great if you are into decorating with vintage home decor items. It's usually quiet in there as well which is nice, even when there is a crowd.

The store is huge and filled with so many interesting things I was able to find a few things I wanted to buy. I brought them to the counter, all had tags attached to them which the cashier removed, rung us up, I paid and we were on our way. Unfortunately, about a week or two later, I received a call from Joanna at the store saying I hadn't paid enough for the items I bought and she said I owed her another $53.41. In good faith, I provided her with my card information and asked her not to process the card until I had a chance to take a closer look at my receipt. She ignored that entirely and put the charge through immediately and after looking at my receipt, I noticed I paid exactly what was marked on the books I bought so I did not owe additional money. This was very rude given that she had the card in hand, so I clearly wasn't trying to avoid working with her. I ended up putting in a complaint to my bank and had the charge debited back to my account. Had they not removed the tags entirely, I could have provided the tags as proof. Lesson learned: demand to keep the tags or take photos of them if you shop here.

Pretty cool store with some good deals. We picked up some Southern Collection, Lake Martin, etc…read more t-shirts, a cookbook for a buck, some cheap sunglasses... Would have loved to grab a couple of their rustic coffee tables, but didn't have room in the car and it's a long way back to PA. Good place to pick up some gifts representing the area, so we'll be back next year.

World Market has kitchenware, edibles and drinkables (including beer and wine), clothes, cards, gifts, and home decor from several corners of the globe. The kitchen stuff and food areas are probably my favorites. Prices seem pretty fair, and there are usually a lot of items on sale too. One problem I noticed it that there can be traffic backed up at the registers. World Market could do a better job of opening up more checkout lanes if a bunch of shoppers want to pay at the same time. There is a frequent shopper program called World Market Explorer Rewards which looks like it offers coupons and other rewards. Parking is plentiful since it's Tiger Town. Look for World Market between Target and Kroger, next to Hobby Lobby.

A cashier and a shorter male manager with medium brown hair are behind the register going into an extended conversation about her requesting days off. During this time, six more customers got in line. The automated system says 'register 4'. I walked up to register four and stood there while the cashier and manager continued their conversation. Eventually they looked up and told me to that they couldn't help me at that register and to get back in line as though I walked up for no reason. I won't be returning.
