There were 30 people or more waiting In the large living room style area, comfy couches with pretty cushions facing a screen where numbers popped up with client's first names so we could easily see when we were up. We thought it would take long. There were 10 desks attended by pleasant polite and competent people. In less than 10 minutes, we were called up and the return of funds to our debit account was done in a few seconds. We were not sure if they would accept an interprovincial return. No questions asked, thank you very much and a friendly " have a nice day "! Good job, kiosque no. 4 IKEA representative. We appreciated it and were impressed how well run your system works! We then went up to the 3rd floor for a number of different items in three different seconds relating to our kitchen improvements. Kitchen planner Zohra in living room section listened to us regarding a door or drawer with door for pots and pans, one that would be discrete and elegant. She showed us some models and suggested we also see her colleague in the Living room section for ideas. Zohra was kind, polite, attentive and solution focused. She explained how to get there and told us to come back if we had any further questions. We then met Vlada who was busy with two clients so we waited briefly where she attended to their enquires in a timely, polite and friendly way. She explained the process and asked them a few questions so she could ensure she was guiding them well. Both clients before us were grateful and thanked her indicating they would get measurements and come back to finalise the work. She was definitely focused on the client needs and offered us as well an excellent suggestion which we very much appreciated. Then she referred us to the Cookware and tableware section where we met Grace who showed us where we could find two other separate items and was also friendly, polite and knew exactly where to go which we did in no time and were grateful. IKEA owner, you've got good staff and we thank you for a good experience as shoppers who enjoy your products and your human resources people who surely do good training for competent and friendly staff. TL;DR/The Short Version: I like browsing the store and buying small items. I like the restaurant…read more However, buying appliances is a pain. They only deliver to inside your front door (not to the actual room your appliance needs to be) and they don't offer removal of the old appliance. The Long Version: So I do like IKEA products. I like the aesthetic, the prices and the cool Swedish names of the items. I find the store fun to browse. I also really like the restaurant. The meals are inexpensive and tasty for cafeteria-style food. What I'm not so happy about with Ikea is their delivery policy for appliances. So we bought an induction stove from Ikea. The price was amazing, as it was on clearance. Ikea gets other brands to make their appliances. We did our research. Our stove is the Tvärsäker, which is exactly the same as the Frigidaire GCRI3058AF, except lower in cost. Purchasing online and booking the delivery went smoothly. The delivery guys came within the scheduled time frame, so that was good. However, they just brought the stove to inside the front door, as that is their delivery policy. I would have been so much happier if IKEA offered delivery where the deliverers actually bring the appliance to the appropriate room. I also would have been happier if they also offered old appliance removal. I've bought from places like Corbeil, Home Depot, and Dufresne, and all these places offer delivery to the actual room in your house where the appliance will be and they offer removal of the old appliance. So I consider these places before IKEA for large appliance purchases. I'll continue to buy items from IKEA that I can transport myself without hesitation. I will continue to dine at the IKEA restaurant without thinking twice. However, I would only buy large appliances from IKEA again if the price was so amazing that it would be worth the hassle of having to bring it to the appropriate room myself and having to arrange for disposal of the old appliance myself.
