This is by far the worst furniture buying experience I have ever had! First the delivery guys knocked a hole in my wall and tried to cover it up with the couch! Then they set up my dining room table one chair had a gaping hole in it one had a large black stain and worst of all the table was very damaged it looked like someone hit it with a hammer. I tried to refuse delivery but the delivery guys said they were way behind and didn't have time to take it apart and take it with them, and for me to call customer service. After not having the best experience at the Modesto location I thought maybe this one would be better. I had the part numbers and prices from another Ashley middleman store. This place was so overpriced they're really seems like it would be a lot of work to get them to negotiate. They were about $1,000 more for a couch. That's way too much negotiation . He told me to go to the place that gave me the lower price and have them write something up and he would see what he could do. My boyfriend and I bought couches about a week ago and the experience in the store was wonderful. Our sales guy, Sammy let us do our thing, without haggling us but was always available and attentive when we had a question. The shopping experience was great, that is the only reason I am giving one star. The women who helped us, the store manager and all the employees working in the store have been very helpful unfortunately every other part of our furniture buying experience was awful. Let me explain... My mother was supposed to have her furniture delivered on Saturday, November 25 between 3 and 7 PM. At 7:15 PM my mom called the customer service number because her furniture not been delivered yet, she was told that the driver was late and he would be there at 9:30. So she waited... At 9:45 she called again because there was no delivery. The person from the warehouse told her it would not be delivered until 11:30 PM, my mom said that was too late and that she would have to reschedule the delivery. At 1:15 AM she got a call from the driver saying that he was outside of her house waiting to deliver her furniture. At 1:15am!!!!! The next day I personally called Ashley furniture, Who really couldn't do much because they're not the warehouse or the delivery service, and was told to call and talk to somebody at the warehouse. I call the warehouse and was told that her furniture was lost on someone's truck and that they would have to locate it. It had made it Redding, Ca somehow. After a three hour wait I was told that her furniture would be delivered Sunday night between 8:00 and 9:00 PM. So we waited, big surprise when nothing was delivered. Monday I called and was told that her furniture would be delivered on Tuesday between 12:15 and 4:15. My mother even received a call from the automated system that said her furniture would be there in 10 minutes, this was at around noon. Big surprise when nothing showed up, my mother called and asked the driver what time he would be at her house. The driver told her that the warehouse had lost her furniture that his truck was empty and that his route was done for the day. She called the warehouse, which is 15 min away from her house, her furniture was located and is hopefully going to deliver sometime today. This company is very unprofessional. I have never dealt with a company that is so confused, unreliable and don't take their customers into consideration. We will never be customers with Ashley furniture again. read more

We ordered a bed set and they delivered it at least 1 month late, even though we paid for fast delivery. We had to call back at least 2 times each day to know where our furniture is, and in return we would be put on hold for 30 minutes. And when the furniture finally came it had scratches and dents, thus making us wait another month to get repairs done on it, and it still hasn't been fixed. I strongly recommend you take your business some where else, due to their really poor service. read more

I bought two sets of theater seating and TV console with fireplace insert. It took about 2 1/2 months for delivery. When they did deliver the TV console was damaged they did take it back another 2 months. When they delivered my theater seating they damaged my walls which were just painted. We went into the store and told them. Later that day 9/9/2020 I received a text message wanting a picture of the damage to my wall. Have never heard back from them. Also there refund policy is they won't refund on returns. They will never receive anymore of my or my family's or friends business as I'm now telling them about their bad customer service. Very unprofessional and dishonest. The bed frame was scheduled to be delivered last Thursday. They came but said the drawers were not there yet and they were not able to assemble it. They rescheduled the delivery and came the next Tuesday, but this time a small part was missing (a nut). They could not find it and asked us to wait until 5pm. We waited until 9pm and no one showed up. The warehouse said they could not reach the driver but said the driver was coming. We have not moved in yet and have to drive an hour to our new home to wait for them - and for nothing. Made a few calls this morning. They said they would follow up and call back, but we never heard from them. Someone rescheduled a delivery for today, but they said they could not find our record now. The hotline found ours though but the people never came... We have a 3 weeks old at home and this whole delivery thing becomes a burden for us... Called the company again and they said they needed to order the nut. Should we trust them? They said their people were coming to help with the assembly. So we asked about return, and they said they needed to contact another department and said they would call back, which they never did. We called the returns department, and they said they needed to get approval from the delivery department. I purchased over around $10,000 in furniture and mattresses. The sales person and the manager (Jordan) were great at first, then I did a walk-through on my new home and realized some of the furniture was not going to fit as planned. After a 12 hour shift and another 45 minute drive I met with Jordan to make the needed adjustments. I thought better to do this now then when the furniture was delivered. Jordan was continually "side-tracked" and it took me 2 hours in the store before they could figure out what to do. I still purchased thousands of dollars in furniture. Then the furniture was delivered. My brand new construction home had the concrete stoop cracked off by the delivery team. After the fact, I read the reviews about the "leather" sectional and saw you tube videos. This is not leather at all everyone and in fact was the same one I bought from Ashley furniture which will probably only last 2-3 years because it will peel. Then 3 items (tables) were on backorder. I arranged the delivery date and then I received a call to arrange the date . I told them I did that and I was told it was "knocked out of the system" and it was going to be another 2 weeks. I talked to Alonso countless times. I asked to talk with Jordan who now would never come to the phone, always excuses...in meetings, etc. I cancelled the last 3 tables and Alonso didn't even know about the sales tax! I ordered the tables on-line. My son assembled them and they were less costly. I also ordered a sleeper sofa online and a night stand and dresser. The nightstand had to be assembled and the screws were too short for the handle. My son had to purchase screws from the hardware store to finish the assembly. The dresser and sleeper sofa were delivered. The dresser is so cheaply made. The delivery team (2) gauged my door threshold of a brand new home. I reported it and was supposed to receive a call within 72 hours to repair it....I'm still waiting. Tonight just put the icing on the cake. I checked my Synchrony account and it said I owe over $5000. I have paid cash, paid my remaining bill in full. OMG at Ashley it was such a hot mess having them figure how to add and subtract and not even knowing sales tax. Looks like what they did was charge me a second time when I received the furniture when all of it was already paid for. I guarantee I'll try to contact Jordan again and he will not be available. Non-existent customer service! Very fast to take my money but that is where everything ends. I scheduled my delivery on a Sunday so I can be at home for the delivery. I missed a call the day before the scheduled delivery and they want me to call back to confirm or else they'll re-schedule the delivery. I tried calling back and nobody answers. I called numerous times but the same result. the message on the phone said to go online and go to "message us" to chat with some one. I went there and after putting in my information, I waited for 30 minutes for the chat room to find an agent for me to chat with. I gave up and called the stores and someone helped me confirmed the delivery. I even confirmed the delivery through email. Here comes Sunday. I waited 2PM to 6PM nobody came. I tried calling the stores and customer service unfortunately they are closed early on Sunday. Worst customer service EVER. DO NOT BUY THEIR FURNITURE AND DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR PROTECTION PLAN SCAM! Their furniture is overpriced and cheaply made and will literally fall apart at the seams a couple of weeks after you get it. And guess what? If you don't pay for their expensive ass delivery, your manufacturers defect is null and void. Something they do not tell you. Their protection plan will deny your claims and are not helpful at all. I purchased a sectional couch and ottoman and with the 3 yr protection plan my total was almost $2000. That was February 2018. In February 2019 I called the protection plan service because the stitching one of the cushions had come out and was catching out our feet. The protection plan denied our claim based on the fact that the loose stitching was considered a manufacturers defect and advised us to call Ashely's customer service to have the stitching repaired. The woman we spoke with asked us for pictures and told us we would hear back in a couple of weeks. We waited months and never heard anything. We gave up and just let it be. After all... couch costs almost $2000, nothing else should happen, right? Wrong. My kids were jumping around in the couch and tore the back cushion completely off of the couch. So we again called the protection plan to file a claim. Our claim was once again denied because the stitching was never fixed by Ashley's. So we called Ashley's again to follow up on our initial claim and they are just now informing us that because we chose not to pay for their ridiculously priced delivery and instead opted to pick up the furniture ourselves, the manufactures warranty was null and void. Why wasn't this disclosed to us when we chose to pick up the furniture? Why wasn't it disclosed to us when we filmed our initial claim?!?! Why can't we get our couch replaced after paying for the protection plan?!? If you ask me, BOTH companies are SCAM ARTISTS. I can not believe how HORRIBLE their service is. I'm putting this review on Yelp because I sent it to Ashley Furniture when they sent me an email to review the products I purchased. Just hours later, I received a notification that they wouldn't publish it because it contains information about about customer service issues and shipping issues and not just a review of the product. Way to think about the entire customer experience Ashley Furniture! So frustrating. So here is my unedited review since Ashley Furniture cannot delete a Yelp review: I love this table but am no longer an Ashley Furniture customer. First and last experience. Beautiful furniture but terrible service experience. I scheduled delivery and the installers arrived 20 minutes earlier than my time window - luckily received a notification so I could advise my husband to take the delivery since I wasn't home just yet (Friday). The installers came in and set the table tops and legs in my front room and left instead of assembling the table! I got home minutes after they left and called Ashley to find out why they didn't install. The customer service rep said they would get in touch with the installers and find out what happened and be back out. I called 4 hours later as I still hadn't received an update and had to head off to work. Again, they said they'd reach out and get back to me. The next day, I received a call from an unknown cell phone and answered. It was the installer. We agreed for him to return the day after (Sunday) at 8:30am. I rushed home to ensure I was there for the window the installer would arrive and no show. I called at 9am and asked if they were still coming. The man answered and said 'let me check'. He never called back. I tried calling several times but it continued to go to voicemail. No one showed up for the day and I never received a call. I called on Monday and explained to an Ashley rep and received the same response. Someone will be in touch. I did in fact receive a call back that the installer would come that day so I agreed to meet him at 5:30p on Monday. At this point, I also received a call from the delivery/installer manager. He assured they would arrive and all would be fixed and apologized for the miscommunication and no show over the weekend. The Ashley rep ended up crediting me an amount too based on the experience thus far. I appreciate the efforts. So, at 5:30p the original guys showed up, irritated that they had to return and assemble the table. He started pulling the legs out of a box and then asked me where the other box was. There was no other box. Everything he delivered the Friday prior was still sitting on the floor in my living room where he left it. He accused me of losing a set of freakin' table legs. I want the freakin' table assembled!?!?! I told him to just take the thing away based on this experience but he couldn't since he didn't have an order/tag to do so. I called the installer manager beyond frustrated. He was very apologetic and explained that this just doesn't happen though he didn't excuse my experience either. He showed up the following day with the table legs and assembled the table himself with another person. He stayed in constant communication with me wanting to rectify the situation. I really appreciate all his efforts. As you can see though - the purchase of this table took more of my time than I care to do ever do again so I will not do business with Ashley again. They have great looking pieces that I hoped to remain a customer but have a poor taste in my mouth after this experience. I also purchased chairs that arrived via UPS. The hyperlink to the tracking was invalid so they were sitting on my doorstep when I arrived home from work - thank you to a neighbor for keeping an eye out. About 2 weeks ago I went to the Ashley Furniture on Trinity Parkway and purchased a Recliner. The salesperson was nice but after that it goes downhill. The delivery time is the worse I have ever experienced. I usually go off of Wilson Way and buy furniture to support local businesses but this time I swayed and it was a mistake. The delivery time at first was between 11 am-3 pm, then it changed to 1215-415 pm, then it changed to 615 pm. I called the (209)313-2187 and got a lady equally as rude. It is 437pm and the drivers are on stop number 3 and I am listed as stop number 6. They do show you the picture of the driver and he is old. I can talk about ageism because I am older and you get to the point where you realize there are certain things maybe you should not be doing and Mr. Gillermo Ortiz should think about another profession if he wants to continue working. This was my first time buying furniture at Ashley Furniture in Stockton and my last time. I pay with cash and I will go back to supporting my local businesses that treat me well and deliver when they say they will. I went into Ashley today and was looking for a living room set. As we were looking a sales person came up to me to ask if I needed help. Our sales person was Samuel and let me tell you he was the greatest sale person to help pick out our living room set. He took his time to take us around the store to look at different sets. He was very patient with us and we never felt pressured to buy anything. And let me tell you Samuel was very well dressed to impress and was professional. Bought 5 recliners and 2 tables from them. Bought the 5 year replacement plan, 1 of the recliners was broken upon delivery 0n 7/15. It took a week for a technician to come out and tell me it was broken, told me the part would arrive in 5-7 days. We called on 7/30 and were told the parts were on the way. Called again on 8/13 and were told the parts would be ordered tomorrow and arrive on 8/26. Even the Ashley employees in Colton at customer care/customer service admitted that they get "a lot" of complaints about the Stockton store. Thai Tran admitted he completely FORGOT about a customer re: a couch that didn't fit in a home during delivery. THREE DAYS LATER he finally calls. Absolutely disgusted! I ordered a brand new bedroom set back on September 15th, 2021, I received the headboard, dresser with mirror and the chester drawer. The set came with 1 nightstand so I purchases another one. I was told that the nightstands were on backorder and I would received them in October, October came and went and I didn't hear anything, so I called customer service and they said that they would be scheduled to shipped out on November 17th, of course November comes around and still no nightstands, the next time I spoke with customer service, they told me December 12th and guess what still no nightstands. I called and vented my frustration with a agent who told me that she would check the status of my order in a couple of days, she actually emailed me back with another date of December 22nd, she told me told check my spam folder to see when they would ship out, here it is January 3rd and still haven't received an email about shipping out my night stands. I checked again and now it's says that they would ship out on January 2nd. I'm beyond pissed at this time. I've been giving the run around and still do not have an idea of when I will receive the night stands that I ordered on September 15th, if my mother didn't love her new bedroom set, I would have canceled a long time ago.
