The chair I decided to go with was on back order but I was in no rush since I had a few months before my baby was due so that was not a problem. Once I received the chair from the manufacturer, it had a squeaking noise. A sound enough to drive yourself your crazy when trying to rock your baby to sleep. Not a good combination. I decided to call the store and spoke with the owner. He was EXTREMELY nice and worked REALLY HARD to resolve the issue. It took a few weeks for the manufacture to get back to the store owner but what I appreciated was the consistent line of communication on his end. He called multiple times updating me with any information he had and let me know I am still a priority in resolving the issue. It was eventually resolved and I couldn't be happier. We love our recliner and I plan on having this chair for many years! This store has a wonderful selection with high quality items. I definitely recommend buying from Clayton Furniture. This was easily one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I've had with any business.I went in looking for a sturdy bed frame and made it VERY clear to Tony that I did not want something flimsy or cheap because I've had one break before. I specifically asked about the return policy twice and both times he confidently told me there was a 30 day return policy. Based on that, I trusted him and spent $400 on a king-size bed frame. Big mistake. I picked it up, it was built the SAME DAY, and the second I got onto the bed, it literally broke. Not after weeks or even days. Immediately. That is beyond unacceptable. A $400 bed frame should not collapse instantly. I could have bought something cheaper online that would've lasted longer than a few seconds. When I called the next day to figure out a solution, I was met with attitude right away. Instead of helping, the person on the phone acted like I was the problem. Then I'm suddenly told there is NO 30-day return policy?? I was told to come in and speak with the owner, so I did go in and Tony was there, and the moment I mentioned the bed breaking, his entire attitude changed. He became defensive, rude, and completely unprofessional. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to blame me and say I "built it wrong," which is ridiculous. I wasn't the one who built it, my father was and he even told me that the bed frame looks really flimsy and low quality. The frame was assembled correctly it's just extremely cheap and poorly made. What's even worse is that the "30-day return policy" he sold me on magically turned into a "30-day warranty for parts." That was NEVER explained upfront. That's misleading at best. His solution? For me to email them the broken part so they could replace it. Meaning I'm stuck fixing a brand new, already broken bed myself. Not only that but even if they do get me the same part I'm still going to have to buy better, sturdier, and stronger parts which is going to make the price for this horrible bed frame go up even more. I should not have to put more money into a bed frame I paid $400 for. I sent the email as requested, and it has now been 12 days with absolutely no follow-up, no resolution, nothing. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The products are cheaply made, the customer service is terrible, and the way they handle issues is unacceptable. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values honesty and quality.

At first, we were excited because the couch we purchased is nice and comfortable. We spent around $2,000 on furniture and paid an additional $200 delivery fee. The sales associate clearly told us that delivery would include removal of our old couches. That did not happen... When the movers arrived on Thursday, they delivered the new couch but refused to take the old ones. We were left with FOUR couches crammed into our living room and hallways, making our apartment basically unusable. When we asked the movers, they said it wasn't on their order. To make the matters worse, we tipped the movers under the impression they would be handling everything as promised ... but they simply left. When the movers called their supervisor asking for approval to pick up the old furniture, their supervisor said "No. Just leave. I need you guys at the next location." We contacted the store immediately, and the associate said because she forgot to notate it on the invoice that the old furniture needs to be removed, she would find someone to pick them up later that night. No one came. The next day, Friday, we followed up again and were told someone would "for sure" come Monday, leaving us with a claustrophobic living room for an entire weekend. Monday came and we received a call saying there was nothing they could do. No pickup. No solution. We were then offered a $100 store credit because apparently that's all they could do after spending $2,000+ and dealing with a situation that made our home unlivable for days. This entire issue happened because the associate failed to note the furniture removal on the order. We ended up having to rent a U-Haul and haul the couches to the dump ourselves, paying additional costs out of pocket. This experience was extremely frustrating and inconvenient. The lack of accountability and follow through is unacceptable. We will not be returning. We initially thought we would be able to purchase all of our furniture here, as we're in the process of replacing everything. However, after this experience, we will not be coming back. Originally, we planned to get an entire new set of furniture that same day & I'm honestly so glad we didn't because I can't imagine having double of everything in this case.

This review is going to be a long one because as you'll read what I am about to write, it's purpose…read moreis to tell as many people as I can that this family-owned furniture store is so much more than simply a business selling furniture and appliances. It is the people, the family members and other staff who work there, people like Khalil and Maroof, that we need more of in this world. That being said, I want to personally extend my most sincere gratitude and appreciation to both Khalil and Maroof. Without knowing it, you helped me (and my son) more than you probably realize. And let me tell you why - to say they went above and beyond for me, is putting it very lightly. When I first called the store to inquire about some items I had seen on their website that I was interested in, I first spoke with Khalil. And when I happened to simply mention to him that I had just moved into a new home with just me and my young toddler but then unfortunately within a few days of moving in, someone broke in and stole absolutely everything from our new little home, from his new little home and that all they left behind were a few boxes of my clothes and my son's twin mattress. So I would be needing (purchased over-time), essentially an entire 2 bedroom home amount of furniture pieces because we had been left with nothing. I didn't go into too much further detail while on that first call to the store, so what Khalil wasn't aware of is the deeper, more personal context - which is that, I have been a single mom since my son was 7 weeks old (he's is almost 4 years old now), due to the severe domestic violence perpetrated against me by his biological father for which he was subsequently convicted of - 4 counts of aggravated domestic assault w/ the intent to cause great bodily injury or death - each charge with these following words that haunt me to this day - "with a minor present". My son, at 7 weeks old, was the sole eye-witness as he laid only feet away during the attack on my life, on his mother's life, by his own father. I say this all because even without any of that context, only knowing my son and I had been robbed of everything we owned - Khalil immediately replied without hesitation and with such a level of genuineness: "That is awful, I am so sorry that happened (having all of me and my son's things stolen). We will help in any way we can, I will let my brother Maroof know as well right now, to take care of you in case I am not around". That single moment, that gesture of honest kindness, restored my faith that there are good people out there. Who aren't just in a certain business for the money or to make sale but because they enjoy helping other people, other families - and how refreshing is that! Over many phone calls over the last 2 days, so many texts back and forth of pictures of items, input on measurements, suggestions and ideas, along with multiple FaceTime video calls to show me different options (one of which Maroof actually laid on each mattress since I couldn't come to the store in person myself) - together with Maroof's personal advice and my own thoughts, I chose a total of 7 furniture pieces. On our last call earlier today, I told him - okay next up we have to choose some more furniture for the other bedroom, a tv stand with a fireplace - and so on. So easy to say, I will not be going to any other store for anything I need for the home going forward, or anything that my friends might need, my family might need, etc. I'll end with this - I cannot support or give enough stars to this family-owned store, to properly express how much they care for their customers. They will not upsell you, push you in one direction over another, overwhelm you with "salesman talk", none of that. They will help where they can and give incredible support and guidance along the way. I promise you, you will not regret reaching out to this store. Without knowing it, they quite literally helped not just me but more importantly they had a positive impact on son's childhood in more ways than I could possibly have imagined. The first visit we didn't find the Schluter edge trims we needed. But they do have a much larger selection than your local hardware store. The second visit I was looking for Y shaped spacers for installing hexagon tiles. An employee asked if I needed help. He and another employee took maybe 10 minutes out of their way to help me look for the Y spacers. Super nice! Exceptional service! Their inventory online actually seems to be accurate because they asked if I had the SKU and it told them the same number available as what I saw online. I had called two other flooring stores nearby to see if they sell Y shaped spacers but they don't. Definite plus in how large their inventory and selection is. I will be going out of my way to cross the bridge to go to Floor and Decor for my next project needs.

The whole process was quite easy, and the people on the showroom floor are very friendly. Not pushy at all! Delivery was quick and easy...and FREE; had my items within about 5 days. Granted, I live exactly one street over, but still. And for all 3 rooms, they only charged me $15 to put it all together. I still tipped nicely, though :-) Quality of my furniture? The finishes are great. They durability so far seems good. Would I buy from them again? Absolutely! In need of a sofa now actually.
