I wanted to so very badly like this store. We purchased our bedroom set and our living room set (sofa, couch, chase lounge, and ottoman) and I have to say I am SO DISAPPOINTED! Do NOT purchase you furniture from Ashley. Maybe their kitchen tables are good, but never something you'll use for comfort everyday. Bedroom set started making loud squeaks just from sitting on it to put your shoes on or simply taking a breather. It's so annoying! Living room set is the worst! I paid a pretty penny for our living room set which consist of four pieces (see above). Not even a couple months of having them, the arm of the loveseat started to squeak (much like the bedroom set). Then next thing you know the arm of the chase lounge started, and of course the couch's back started making the loud noise. It was embarrassing! After threatening to call the District Manager, they gave me a full exchange. I think these ones are worse than the ones before. The contract delivery men rushed, out the wood part of the bottom of the couches on so crooked, the ottomans thread on the corner is starting to bust, the fabric is coming apart... now the couch (3 seater) is making noise as you sit. I've had them for two months!!! I can't express the amount of "unhappy" I am with my home furniture! I hate the entire set, I hate going to bed at night! I love the furniture and store salesman however the ball gets deflated, smashed and buried when it's time for actually receiving what you purchased...oh my sofa was damaged, I notified them immediately. I wish i had good things to say about this store but unfortunately after spending $7k on furniture's that got delivered wrong and damaged, i have no choice but to let everyone know how horrible this company is. We went instore and purchased a sectional and dining room elegant table for out new home and told them to deliver it to our new home on a certain date. walked out pleased that they cold work with us .. until a week later when we got a call that they were delivering our stuff early to the new home that the previous owner was still living in. not to mention the call came in at 7am! leaving us no time to call our agent to see if this was ok, so we instead had to have them deliver to our old home where we had no room for it. we were forced to rid our old furniture asap and let them deliver where half the couch wouldn't fit. so it was left in our garage for weeks before we were able to move into our new home. Our dining room table was put together and i noticed right away there was a crack and good nick in my $2700 table and scratched all over the chair legs on multiple chairs, they took pics and said someone will reach out. no one did. i called for days until i finally got a hold of someone who then argued with me for an hour that all sales were final, however i purchased a warranty!! this is when they said, you moved it so warranty is voided!!! WHAT!!!! we were still in old home. needless to say they ended up sending a rude tech out to look at the table who then SPRAY PAINTED IT INSIDE MY HOME WHERE MY 2YR OLD IS and had audacity to tell me it is fixed and that is all that is going to be done. I called in again and again got BS'd around. fast forward few weeks later once moved in and put couch together, we immediately noticed the legs were all different which made the whole couch sit off balanced. it had taken 2 months and 3 different techs to come out and verify what we were talking about. we even sent in pics to the store associate. We have continually asked about our table for 3 months now and another 2 techs were sent our separately, this last one wiped the mismatched paint off my table and spray painted my scratched chairs. SO 3 months later i still have a crack and good size nick in my $2700 table and my chair legs are spray painted a different color then the rest of the table and chairs and according to Ashleys there is nothing they can do about it. We purchased a love seat and a storage cabinet, I believe that's what they're called. We purchased both items on November 17, 2020 and were told it would take about 6 weeks. 6 weeks later still nothing, then when we contacted them they told us there was a delay but would be here within the next couple of weeks. Over two months later we finally received our order, well half, they only dropped off the storage cabinet. When we purchased it in the store we paid for the cabinet to be installed, instead what we got was a box with our cabinet in pieces which we were supposed to put together. Not what we expected, and when we addressed the delivery driver they told us they were NOT affiliated with Ashley's and that they themselves would never order from them. Apparently they were outsourced to help with deliveries and many people have complained about Ashley's service. When we called the store and asked for a supervisor, we were told the supervisor does not speak with customers. What the heck?! What type of supervisor does not address customers?? We ended up going to the store and we were told everything would be fixed, they would send someone to come put the furniture together, nothing but smiles. No one came, no one called. We ended up putting together ourselves. Still waiting on our love seat, we hope we get it. If not we may have to contact our credit card company to do a charge back, their customer service is horrible. Please do not continue to support this place. read more

Aweful! The furniture looks great & why we decided to opt for them. We ordered all our furniture from them. They are great at selling it, but horrible horrible policy. They brought a damaged dresser with the board on bottom of dresser already falling out as they're hauling it from the delivery truck. They wouldn't replace it as it was in their policy to send a tech to come & repair it 3 weeks later to even acknowledge the problem. Then if we are still not satisfied then they will "see" about starting a claim which will take weeks in addition to their crappy already late delivery which was pushed out. They also left us with a damaged nightstand which has a big Crack on side & didn't even notice it. Again they consider it a patch up with the tech being sent down to see, again tech won't be here until few weeks. If you've charged us for new items & then you damage your own product then don't put it on your customer to handle the rest. You're main job should be sending tech same day or next day & rescheduling pickup asap to return/exchange your damaged items. Horrible customer service policy & not many of their employees have any clue on how do handle these situations & surprisingly as they do this often. Will never purchase from here again. Disclaimer: If you're looking for the short version of this review (tl;dr). We made down payments for a furniture that has been back ordered multiple times. Our delivery date has been moved around 4x's and we still have NO furniture delivered. The store manager disappeared, just like our furniture disappeared. Now for the more detailed version: We were trying to be very understanding, but at this point I am exhausted of trying to work with this company. We had ordered back in January, the store manager Matt saved the sale because we had worked with a rude sales representative that clearly did not care about selling us the furniture and kept putting us aside (this in itself is a whole different story). We disregarded the experience and were happy to just order our furniture. We scheduled February 14th as the delivery date. Matt had given me his personal number to stay in communication for the delivery or any questions, he even referred a guy to us to remove our old furniture to make space for our new one. He confirmed via text that yes the couch was indeed coming on the 14th still. This is where things go down hill, February 14th comes along guess what - no furniture, no confirmation they were on their way, nothing. Bewildered we called the Ashley Furnitures customer service to see what the ETA was on the furniture they explained "ma'am your delivery day is on March 8th..." confused and a little frustrated I explained to them that the store manager had told us it was to be delivered on the February 14th and at this point we had already gotten rid of our old furniture. I tried reaching out to Matt, no response I believe he blocked my number because it says the person has been "disconnected" I even tried to text him, no response, and we called the store itself asking for Matt and we never received a call back. I called back Ashley Furniture again to see where the misunderstanding happened, the sales representative over the phone explained it was due to back order. Fair, we understood due to covid my family and I know how trying times these are especially for shipping. I asked the sales representative if there are any earlier days available for our furniture to be delivered and she said March 3rd would be the earliest she can do, so I agreed and said that works for us. Mid February comes along and we receive yet ANOTHER call from Ashley furniture stating that there has been another back order for TWO items in our list and that if we want we can schedule another day so that we have our entire set OR we can have what they already have and the rest can be schedule for a different date. We told them we want what is available and we can schedule a different day for the rest, again the sales representative we spoke to confirmed that we were still going through with March 3rd as our date of delivery mind you this call happened on February 28th! We receive a call from Ashley Furniture AGAIN on March 1st a day AFTER I had spoken to a sales representative, at around 2pm during work so I missed the call and the message states that since I DID NOT ANSWER THE CALL to COFIRM March 3rds delivery date that they are now rescheduling our delivery date on the 21st of MARCH. ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME? I cannot believe this is happening. Not only are we furniture-less and practically sitting on the floor, but I am livid that a company is able to function like this it's been TWO full months at this point going on THREE. I am starting to think this company is scamming us, seeing as there is still no product shown and we have made down payments already for this invisible furniture. Way fair functions better than they do! And I have had no problem with their customer service. Now that my refund finally processed after 13 days, I can tell my story. I will try to keep it short. Bought a couch with no intention of buying a couch late on a Friday night. I think it was 5/8 for context. There were very few people in the store because they had just gotten permission to reopen from Covid-19. There was some special about 40% off, potentially more if you used your own card (not their credit line). Jan, the sales woman, approached us many times and crunched numbers for us. After asking her manager, she got us a fair rate (even though online was cheaper and included free delivery but I digress). She took my information down and swiped my credit card. Not only did she spell my e-mail wrong, but my address and name! I noticed it on the paperwork and asked her to correct it. She had me write it down, but come to find out never did anything (this is relevant for later in the story) She said the sofa was backordered and not available for delivery until 6/21-over a month and a half away! I was okay with this. She literally provides me one piece of paper and my receipt and no other information about delivery or the warranty I purchased. I misplace that paper so then I spend the next 4 weeks trying to get ahold of Ashley's customer service. I tried 18 different numbers, their online chat and was placed on hold for a cumulative 10 hours. Finally, I was able to leave a message and a corporate person called me back unable to find my order number based off my email or name- I wonder why!!! They eventually used my phone number and located my order number so I could check the status. Didn't work on their online order lookup system, no surprise. Fast forward forward to June 9th, and I receive a text "Good morning it's Jan from Ashley HomeStore there's been a problem with your delivery things have been kind of iffy these days since we reopened again so all your furniture is going to be delivered on July 23 not June 21 so I'm sorry for the setback" are you kidding me 76 days from ordering?! At that point, I want to cancel and engage in weeks of back and forth with Jan about doing so. She makes me wait until the next day to see "if they can move things around to expedite my purchase". Didn't happen. I then request to cancel and want a confirmation of cancellation which I requested on 6/10, 6/12, and 6/20. Finally, after texting Jan 10 times, she finally gets someone named Kevin from the central office to process my refund even though she told me it was done on 6/14, 6/17 and 6/20. To date, Kevin has not sent the cancellation confirmation either. Ashley homestore is a joke. They operate their business in the most unorganized manner and lack basic customer service skills. If I lived locally, I would have been a true Karen and asked to speak to the manager. I will never shop there again and recommend others take their business elsewhere. read more

I was so excited to finally make it to Ashly home store ! They haven't updated their Yelp store hours so the closeing times are wrong, they close at 8 not 9. Once I entered not one person acknowledged me and they have several sale employees on the floor roaming around . After finally making a whole lap around the place still no help I found my self back at the rugs . One thing for sure is they had an awesome amount of different decorative carpets to look at they had an amazing prices butttt their was a big sale going on . Where do we start, our first interaction was with a salesman Mohammed, who obviously had an issue with females and made a comment to my husband - what does your wife have anything to do with this anyway? This didn't sit well with my husband and It was at this point that we were given a different sales person we began working directly with Ken Wilson the store manager. We negotiated a somewhat decent deal. $7600 for a sleigh bed, a chest of drawers dresser with a mirror, two nightstands and a the most expensive base they sell without any other options being shown to us. Two days prior to the delivery. my husband went to the store and told him that my parents had given us the exact same set as a wedding gift we had been wanting and had purchased with Ken, he told my husband no problem, we will get your order canceled. I'll get my best girl on it. When I called back the following day to follow up, the representative told me the order could not be canceled and when the truck came for delivery to decline the delivery. It was at that point that the truck delivered the chest of drawers, and the base in the garage. Yet we were charged $249 for a set up fee that never happened, those funds have not been refunded, It gets better from there since then the base is sitting in our garage and has been there for almost 3 weeks now, unassembled. The unit delivered does not even match the mattress that my folks gave us. When we went back and spoke to Ken about this, he said we could return the base, and wait for the credit and purchase a different one or we could just purchase two mattresses at the cost of $5000 each, and offered us financing options, which we declined. And no point where we ever told that we were not able to return the base and it was their policy. My husband is very thorough and read the entire contract prior to signing it and nowhere in there contract does it state that you cannot return an unopened base more BS! Of everything that was returned. We only got a $2700 credit. The math is all wrong. There is absolutely no way that a base and a chest of drawers is nearly $5000! That is a rip off and that is not what we agreed to Every invoice that we have from Ken and Ashley furniture in Stockton is different. When we approached Ken again about the base being wrong and the discrepancy on the invoice we were given some BS story and were told that it had gone above the store level, and we needed to contact Ashley' consumer relations department for further assistance. To date, the base still sits in the box unassembled in our garage, we contacted consumer relations at Ashley a week ago Thursday and have heard from absolutely no one The frustration level that we have experienced with this company goes beyond anything either one of us have ever gone through. When you pay almost $7700 for a bedroom outfit you expect it to be delivered appropriately installed and right, even if this needs to be returned, we should not be ignored, nor should we be ripped off. We paid cash and we are getting the runaround with the refund and getting the right base that we require. We both feel that we have been scammed and there is such a huge discrepancy and what was charged, what was refunded, and what is still owed to us. We can't give this company any stars although yelp requires at least one. We wish we could give them zero stars. Our phone calls go unanswered, and my husband was told by Ken, but it is above his level and would need to go onto the next level. We are nothing but ignored at this point and our only recourse will be to contact our debit card company and have the charges reversed. We have been more than diligent in our attempt to get this done professionally and respectfully. Had we realize the runaround we would get, we would've never approached this store. The bedroom furniture outfit that my folks gave us is absolutely gorgeous and we would love nothing more than to have that monstrosity of a base that's still in the box in our garage removed, and the balance of our credit to be refunded, at this point, all we want is to keep the chest of drawers, and they have the base removed from our garage and to be refunded the right dollar amount. We truly hope that our Yelp will save another family, the anguish, anxiety, stress, and frustration that we have had to experience in dealing with Ken Wilson and Ashley furniture on Trinity Parkway in Stockton California. They make you feel like everything is great and exciting, but when you get your furniture more than likely it's damage. I think they purposely make it difficult to contact them. This day and age, it should not be hard to be connected to a person at a store. Their communication is terrible. Before I had my furniture delivered, I talked to three different people and told them I wanted the delivery people to wear booties on their shoes. When they showed up they didn't have any. I had to have a redelivery because the lamp that I received was defective. When the person came he could not speak one word of English to communicate with me on what he needed me to do with the other lamp. The last item that needed to be delivered was a rug. On the day that it should have been delivered I still had not heard anything from anyone. I called and was told that UPS would be delivering it. The customer service person I spoke with couldn't even get a hold of anyone at the store to find out when. They said they would email the store and the store would email me with a tracking number. This is not just the worst furniture store, it is the worst store, period! I should have checked Yelp first and read all the 1-star reviews as they are right on. I even had several friends of mine try to warn me not to buy anything from Ashley as they had terrible experiences there. But for some reason I thought my experience would be different, and I didn't listen. Boy was I wrong (and sorry)! The furniture I bought was supposed to take a month to come in. I thought that was a long time already. However, it ended up taking FOUR months. When I finally picked it up at their warehouse, I was clearly told to let them know within 72 hours if anything was damaged and they will replace it. (It was all boxed/sealed up when I picked it up so you can't inspect it at the time of pickup, which they know.) As soon as I got home (the same day), I inspected it and found that most of the furniture was seriously damaged. I immediately called Ashley and informed them of this. They said I need to physically go into the retail store to do an exchange. I did as they said went into the retail store and spoke to the Store Manager, Matthew Zachocki, and their Customer Service Manager, Eileen. Both said they were not allowed to do returns or exchanges in the store. What? I explained that my furniture was damaged upon receipt and I was even told to go in there by their customer service people on the phone. They said there's nothing they can do for me in the store, and simply suggested I try calling their 800 number again. (Keep in mind I even purchased the 5 year extended warranty. A lot of good that did me if they won't even cover damage that was there the very first day I picked up the merchandise.) Ultimately, I tried calling the 800 number back but they said they can't help me over the phone. My only option was the store. But the store refused to help. I ended up going back and forth on this for several months, but ultimately got nowhere. I even tried disputing it with my credit card company, but Ashley fought it and actually put IN WRITING to me that if they didn't win this credit card dispute that they would send me to collections. So much for being able to exercise your rights with your credit card company. In the end, Ashley won the battle and I got stuck with damaged furniture that was damaged the day Ashley gave it to me. I still don't understand how they couldn't see that was wrong, but trust me when I say that I will NEVER do business with them again. And you shouldn't either if you're smart. From the moment I walked through the doors of Ashley's in Trinity Parkway I was given excellent customer service . I was directed to exactly what I was looking for in a sofa. I have made several purchases there and have always received excellent service. Their products are a good value and they offer multiple choices. Delivery was excellent and I was notified at every step of the purchase, including the protection service offered and the in home setup. Especially noted was the outstanding service provided by Julissa at the store. In the past few months I have made six separate purchases and have been satisfied from the initial purchase through the delivery process. In reviewing the other purchases made by other customers who were not satisfied, I would say the blame should be placed on the store manager to follow through with every customer. The manager should be responsible and not place all responsibility on the sales staff for following through on every purchase. When I went to Ashleys I was briefly introduced to the store manager, ? Derrick but that was it. He disappeared into thin air. He definitely did not take an active part in any of the purchases I made, no follow up, no thanks for your service , no upfront support to his sales staff. I would give the store manager one star ! The store manager is the back bone of a business, so I am presuming that is why the store has lost customers . Customer service is lacking in that respect. Came in looking for a queen mattress, bed frame, and maybe a set to go with. As my partner and I walk into the store, we're approached with someone asking what we are looking for. I tell her exactly what I'm looking for and she says follow me I'll show you a few options you have to pick from. Literally takes my partner and I all the way to the back. Tells us to lay and she gave us a demonstration of the moveable frame. She asked us if we're looking to finance. I said I have cash I'd like to spend but if it's over what I have yes I'd like to potentially finance. Walks us to the counter where she as a computer. Long story short I left Ashley's and went to Michelle's Furniture store in Stockton and spent 5k up front. I have a tattoo on my neck, hand, and right arm. Came in after a 10 hour shift at work wearing cargos, work hoodie, and steel toes. I was definitely judged from head to toe. Never again will I stop by. If I could have given Ashley Home Store a negative star I would! Called to check on an item sales person said the item - loveseat was on the floor. I drove over an hour to find that they did not have it in their store. Again prior to the long drive to the store, they also were going to price match from the online price well that didn't happen either. What a joke. Bought a recliner for my father in law who is terminally ill and the recliner squeaks and makes noise. They called to try and exchange it after a week (not even return it, exchange it for something that doesn't squeal) and were told they only have a THREE day return policy. What a joke is that. The store sent a technician who told my father in law "you need to use WD40" to a man who can't stand up straight without falling down. I went over there and sprayed all the springs and joints and the thing still squeaks, it is squeaking from inside. Now they are on some sort of magic waiting list to see if the bean counter will approve the exchange of obviously defective furniture. Stay far away, if it works great, if it doesn't they will NOT help you. read more

Poor business practices! I purchased a sofa and recliner with a free delivery promotion,that is you pay for the delivery and they send you a Visa card in return. Never got it! A few years ago I was supposed to get a refund never got it! They're great when it comes to wanting to sell you something after that customer service is garbage! Shop somewhere else. read more

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD!!! Let me start off by saying Qi pronounced K-E-Y is absolutely horrible at communicating. Even after she gives you her direct number. It doesn't matter because she will never answer nor call back. Secondly the wait and delivery times that they have are ridiculous!!!! We purchased a sleeper sofa on Black Friday. We're told expected delivery was before Xmas. That turned into mid January, which changed to February 7, and upon my recent call the expected delivery was April. Are you effing kidding me... who in their right mind is gonna wait 5-6 months for a damn sleeper sofa!!! Lol... that's just absurd. It's a shame that all the info we ever got was done by us, we called, we asked, we contacted.. not once did we get a call or call back. A delivery refund that was suppose to be given back to us 1 month ago still hasn't been returned. I hope our full refund will actually come back in a timely manner now. Had plans of buying all our furniture for a new home at this location.. there's no chance in hell I'll be returning for anything at this location. P.s. I will say the only people that were any type of helpful here were Ashley and Vanessa. read more

Shopping with/for my grandma can be a challenge but Aaron handled the whole transaction really well and was nothing but friendly and helpful. My grandma loves her new chair! read more

I purchased 12/4/21 a table and 8 chairs Before signing a contract the salesperson called to confirm delivery date. 1/18 I was told. Did not come 1/18, rescheduled for 2/15, rescheduled for 3/18 and now rescheduled for 4/16. Do NOT tell me supply chain issues! Either you know something is in the chain or not! Do not lie to people! We were in contact with Frank at the store on trinity. He was very helpful and great customer service. This leaves me in a conundrum because the two men that delivered this furniture today were (assholes) lack of a better word. I should have had them take both pieces back to the Store and had them explain why they refused to help a person in a wheelchair move the other Ashley couch that is to be returned. The would not disconnect their own loveseat. They refused to help. Saying thats not there job. They never even tested the couch they brought. They were here 1minute. I asked if they could help please with one loveseat so I can get my wheelchair through. Its not my job! I said poor customer service, he just kept looking at his phone. Not at me. I asked him is name as he continued to walk out JOSE he said. He was so rude I want to send everything back! I hope Ashley furniture deals with him. They are going to lose a lot of business. I had to take 2 stars away because of them. read more
