The lady said we're not having our Labor Day so I didn't even ask. she said we're in a private event go ahead and take a look around. We recently purchased a lot of furniture pieces from Ashley Furniture store in Tacoma for our new Arizona home. Very impressed with our sales rep Evan. The wall clock we purchased and was to be delivered in November when we would be home in Arizona was evidently from an outside vendor and was delivered to the front porch in June when we were not there. Spoke to Eddie, the manager, who promised to take care of us but never called back and didn't actually do anything to help. I went to the store and personally talked with him. He asked me to give him 24 hours to look into the problem. He was off the next two days. I finally got ahold of him the third day and more promises were made. It's been a couple weeks and still no help or communication from him. Evidently customer service is not important once they make the sell. Ordered a sofa to be delivered to an assisted living facility for our blind uncle as he has no furniture. The contract company that handles the furniture delivery failed to show three different times without any calls or explanation. I went back to Tacoma three different times from my residence which is an hour each way. The store and floor manager both stated that the problem had been resolved each time we went back to the store to find out why the delivery wasn't made. as they never answer the phone. At that time I advised both managers that I expected that they cover the cost of the delivery service which both agreed was a fair request. The delivery company arrive on the fourth delivery attempt and completed the order. Three weeks later I find a delivery charge on my credit card of $109.49. Waiting to see if they honor their agreement with me but rest assured; I will never deal with Ashley Furniture again as they cost me time, money and frustration for my uncle. read more

I had a really frustrating experience with Ashley Furniture that wasted a lot of my time. I originally went to the Tukwila location to purchase a coffee table and asked if they would price match. I was told they would not. To double-check, I called the Tacoma store and explained the exact situation, including the item and the price match. The Tacoma employee told me they would price match, but that I had to come into the store to place the order. They even gave me the total price over the phone. Based on that information, I drove all the way to the Tacoma store. Once I got there, I was told they do not price match and that it's not their policy. So after being told the opposite on the phone and making the trip out there, they completely backtracked. This kind of miscommunication between a store and customer shouldn't happen, especially when customers are making a special trip based on what they were told. If the policy is no price matching, that's fine but customers should be given accurate information before being told to drive to the store. Couple days before expected delivery, we find out they canceled our delivery because items not available. No refund offered! Tried to use/work our way through their system, no luck. They delivered with holes in side panel. Then told me a tech would be out that Thursday this is last month guy didn't have part bc they are supposed to send to me prior. They order new couch, send me an email beforehand it's gray, I tell them it's not my couch big gaslight me into saying it's a lighting thing. So they get the couch here and in fact is the wrong color and it has an issue on the same panel so no matter what it would have to go back so then they send out another check person order the part ahead of time send me the wrong part so here we are in March. Fantastic in store experience while in the store picking out couches (shout out to Auburn customer service). We decided the next day to order online. Purchase went fine we were given a delivery date of today Feb 20th. When I called after 3pm today I was told there was no delivery scheduled at all and the soonest they could be out to us was Friday. Awesome except that we'd already moved out ALL OF OUR FURNITURE. so now we're living room-less until sometime Friday. Phone customer service was absolutely no help. Several weeks ago, I ordered the patio set. In the order, the patio set included the table. I purchased the set for $3000 that included $399 delivery and set up fee. The table was not available at the time. The table just got delivered to my home today. They were supposed to put it together. I keep trying to call the store but no one answers. It allows you two times to call the store before you automatically get transferred to an offshore customer service agent. I believe I got transferred to the Philippines. They could not help me. The set up of the table was supposed to be included in my delivery at a later date. I am very upset because I can't even get anybody on the line to speak with. They are sure eager to sell you something but not eager enough to provide the service necessary for a $3000 patio set. The world has gone to hell! These guys have got to be the worst. I would not go here if you need furniture. I purchased a sofa off of Amber, a salesperson. Was told it would be delivered in about 10 days. It was a competitive price but it wasn't a good price until I almost walked. Furniture here is overpriced compared to online sources. The sofa showed up and it was incorrect. The shippers did not want to take the incorrect one back. I called amber who had to talk to the movers in private but after that, they changed their mind and agreed to take it back after repackaging it. Amber told me she would get to me after the return went through the system in 24 hours. The next day, I learned I had to wait 48 hours. The day after that, I did not hear from Amber. Days went by without her responding to texts or phone calls. And when you try to call the store, it will ring for 15mins and go to voicemail. No answer or returned call from the store ever, throughout this experience. Amber finally got ahold of me and told me the reason she didn't call back was because I couldn't get the sofa until late August, almost 2 months after purchase. Why wouldn't she call me sooner to tell me that? Why would she avoid a paying customer. So I told her I would talk to my wife, and after I did, I tried to call her back but again she didn't answer. She did text back though and asked what we decided. I told her we would like a refund. I didn't get a response. And I haven't heard anything from her since. I tried calling and texting daily. Nothing. (Check messages attached) Thankfully I disputed the charges on my card for unreceived goods. I see that many people on here have had issues with customer service and communication. So far, this has not been the case with us. We walked in with a bunch of other people so we wandered around a bit before someone came to help us. Once Troy started to help us, we found the perfect sofa for us and we're on our way. Troy took the time to understand our needs and make sure we were 100% happy with our choice which I really appreciated. There is a warehouse down the road which first Ashley said we can return to. After that they said that we have to Fedex it and can't return it to the warehouse. The return cost via Fedex is more than the cost of the item ( like $400)!!!. This is ridiculous. They know what they are doing - this isn't an accident - it's a scam. We went to Ashley thinking we were getting the best. We ordered a big 1 1/2 man all leather recliner. It was delivered 4 months later. We had the chair 3 months and the metal frame broke in 3 different places. They sent a repair man over. He stated " I can't fix it" you will get a replacement. Didn't hear back from customer service. Two weeks later we finally called them and they said they were not going to do anything about the chair since the repair man said it broke because a dig dog jumped on it. No dog jumped on the chair. We purchase an expensive recliner from Ashely furniture in TAcoma. AFter less than 2 years the chair broke , in open position in the middle of our living room. We purchased the extended warranty and someone came out and looked at it and said the motor needed to replaced. I waited to hear from Protect All , the insurance , finally called them. They said the part was not available and they were going to replace the chair. Waited another week, called back, they said no they ordered the part. Still another week went by heard nothing. Called again. They said no, the were going to replace the chair and I would hear from Ashely in 24-72 hrs. Nothing for another week. Caled back . They said no ,we are replacing the chairs. Should hear from Ashely in 24-72 hrs. Heard nothing called back again. No they said, the part is on order. Finally called Ashely furniture claims and they said yes the par was order on 12/3, 3 weeks from the time I first filed the claim. However, after spending over an hour on the phone with them, finally insisting to talk to a supervisor, I was told the part was on order, but backordered until sometime in February (2025) . Once it comes, If it comes, then 6-8 weeks for delivery, then I have to call back and make an appointment to have someone come out and fix it. So potentially, if and when the chair ever gets fixed it could be up to be up to 3-4 months after fliling the claim. I told them that my husband has a disease that affects his balance and I am afraid, because the recliner is in open position, I am afraid he may fall. They didn't care. I also called the store, the manager said they cannot do anything. So I will never buy a piece of furniture from Ashely furniture again. The process with Protect all was horrible. I have probably spent at leave 10 hours on the phone trying to resolve this issue and as of today, 1/19/2025 nothing has been resolved. This as a $1700.00 chair and it is useless. They set up a mattress delivery for today. I already took down my bed, wrapped up the old mattress and shoved it down the stairs to make room for the delivery. 2 hours before they suppose to show up I get a call that the mattress is on backorder. By calling the store i got told it didn't make it on the truck and I will be put back in line for delivery in 5 days. When I complained that this is not acceptabe i got told there is no opening in the schedule to get a next day delivery. They screw up and I sleep on the floor in the livingroom because I can not haul the mattress back up the stairs. Last time I set foot in that store! read more

Let's start off by saying, YES- 2020 has been one heck of a year! That being said, a lot of orders will naturally be on back order, which is understandable. But, lets get down to the nitty gritty on why I believe Ashley's is a joke! With the pandemic, you are required to wear a mask while in the store. It is by appointment only so they don't max out capacity for social distancing. End of May 2020, we worked with a gal named Amber, who was very nice and helpful. We placed an order for a love seat and a couch with a sleeper sofa in it. We were told that the sleeper sofa had to be made and that it would be ready early mid- June. The love seat was already available to ship whenever we were ready as we were closing on a home. Before I made an appointment to get the couches scheduled for delivery, I receive a call from their customer service center in California saying that the love seat is not ready due to the pandemic. I told them that WE were told that the sleeper sofa was not ready yet. Now it's the opposite? Okay, whatever, let's move on because at least we are getting 1 couch and not going to sit on the floor. I called the store to confirm delivery date and time and was told that they'd contact me the day before to confirm. I waited ALL DAY for someone to call. No one called. So, I called the store, which was also a hassle because it kept saying the store was closed when they close at 8pm... The only positive thing I can say about this experience is Lauren (I believe that's her name). She answered the phone and tried to help me the best that she could as she had just started the position and was by herself. She said for whatever reason, they canceled our delivery because it was going to be a partial delivery. Who ever it was, decided, well, let's just have them wait for both couches and have them deliver together. No.... I was told that they'd still delivery partially. I was VERY upset with their customer service and how they attempt to organize their business. Lauren emailed the warehouse to see if they could possibly schedule a delivery the next day, but it could not be done as their trucks hit capacity. Honestly, they can go back and pick up the 1 couch and deliver. Second couch was supposed to be ready by July 14th. That was a lie as well. Their excuse again was that it's delayed due to covid and it won't be ready until the end of August... Weird, because we were told it was at the warehouse ready for delivery... and we even received a delivery confirmation. The day of, was when we received a call that it was still in California. So, what's taking so long for this love seat? Yall gotta chop up the wood, pick the cotton off the field, sew the stuff by hand or what?? I was and still am appalled by their customer service. I came to the store with a printout for an expensive bed and proceeded to work with Tabitha to make a purchase. Not only did the type of bed change but little did I know, so did the size! I went to the receipt for information to buy sheets and found that the bed was in a king size instead of California king. It was to be delivered the next day! I went to the store and was thrown in so many directions I went to the counter for a refund. The lady swiped my card and told me that the machine wasn't working, that the credit was SUPPOSED TO BE INSTANT but, because it wasn't working, it has to be processed through their account department and it will take about a day for me to receive the credit back to my account. a full day goes by and my bank doesn't show any credit not even pending. I call the store and through a whole saga story I get a reference number the bank asked for and I am told it could be up to 14 days! We are talking over $10,000 in the wind. The reference number was an internal number and the bank couldn't use it. I asked to file a fraudulent charge or to dispute this and because of the amount it would take about 10 days. this is a memorial sales event and I am out of luck and money. Worst experience ever!!! Not what I originally wanted then I almost got the wrong size. How can do many mistakes happen in one transaction? And who the hell allows a business to tell their customers that they will have their money back immediately and hold it for half a month!!! read more

Has anyone else had trouble with other Ashley HomeStore's not honoring your furniture warranty? We still have a warranty that is good until July of 2023, and the company will not help us address our furniture problem, despite visiting this location twice and calling them FOUR times. Have they not heard of the Consumer Protection Act? I will now be filing a complaint with the AG's office. Also, anyone can fill out a complaint form btw! Takes about 5-10 minutes and the form is available online. If your state AG's office gets enough complaints about a particular company, they will look into their business practices. Poor Customer Service, very rude and unprofessional. Said I've got a year before interest starts kicking in and I'll only pay for the interest based on what is left on the balance, but a year later. Have about $400 left in payment. Then They charged me the FULL $700 for interest of the price of the product when I first bought it for like $2k. That was a very shady move. Even getting the products from the third party, they made an appointment to deliver to my house. But rescheduled it 3 TIMES last minute. (Less than 12 hours). It's hard to get time off of work. We had to work around their schedule and then rescheduling three times made it stressful. Not to mention that it took almost 2 MONTHS to finally get the furnitures and Mattress. It's been over a year now, there would be lots of small ants reappearing from inside the woods of the cabinets here and there.
