I've had my dinning table for about 4 months with no chairs ,I've gotten 4 different dates of arrival until last week when the date was finally confirmed not only did I get the day off work to pick up my chairs tomorrow but I planned on having a huge family gathering for the holidays , just to find out today my chairs are not arriving until next year maybe January . I will not be buying from ashley furniture again. I've purchased quite a bit from them the last 10 years or so. My issue is with the mattress I purchased less than a year ago, it was on special for about $1400. Well I rotate it about every 2 months. I'm about 6'1" and 215lbs. My side started to dip and so 10 months later have them inspect it while still under warranty but they say it's less than 1 1/4" so it's not considered defective or covered under warranty. And theyre crappy warranty is 1 year. So they have gained for now but in the long run they will lose revenue from me and any others I can warn about buying form them. read more

My husband and I were shopping for a sectional for our new home. We looked at different places. Some places did not have any items in inventory and some did. We decided to try Ashley's since it's such a big company they must have more inventory. We purchased a sectional and I was "convinced" simply by the fact that I would have the couch in my new home by January 1st. Which was about a week away. Again, new home. No furniture. we need a couch. They said January 1st and we are now January 29 and no couch. I called for weeks and finally got an answer and was told my delivery date is MARCH 4th?!?! They hooked me by saying I would have a couch soon and then change the date. I could of had a couch from somewhere else by now but they lied.. We purchased a reclining sofa and loveseat in September 2020. Delivery came 3 weeks later. I was so excited when it came. Rearranged the entire living room for it. My first day sitting on the loveseat was awful. After about 15 minutes I started getting sharp pains in my back. I adjusted the recline and the head rest to no avail. Tried the accent pillows nothing. Dragged the bed pillows out which provided a little comfort. I have several fused vertebrae's in my back and neck. Who sits in a loveseat for more than 15 minutes before they buy it? We went to the Victorville store where we purchased it hoping we could exchange it for something I can sit on. They told us they would send a tech out to look at the furniture, 3 weeks later the tech showed up. He took pictures, talked to us about the problem. He said it's a comfort problem. I said yes. He wrote a report. Said I can call the store the next day for resolution. Anyone who has bought furniture from this store knows it's impossible to get them on the phone so we went back into the store. The girl in the office laughed and said tech reports take 2 to 3 weeks to complete. She looked it up and said, your case is closed. The tech closed it. She told me to call their corporate office to hopefully resolve this. I sat on hold for 15 minutes to speak with someone. When he came on the line, I went over my problem with him. He put me on hold for 20 minutes and then disconnected me. I left a message to call me back. This morning they called to tell me NO, THEY WILL NOT EXCHANGE IT FOR SOMETHING ELSE. The only way they can take it is if there's something wrong with it besides comfort. I can't believe this brand new furniture which failed me the day after delivery is sitting in my living room. This being memorial weekend I figured they'd have great sales and I wanted to purchase the matching chair recliner. I only paid $1100 for the sofa, it was half price. The salesmam I got today wanted to sell me just the chair for $1300!! I'd seen it online for normal $999, on sale for$799. How could he charge so much. He needed to pad his commission I guess. DO NOT BUY THEIR 14pc SETS. THEY WIL GYP YOU. We bought at 14pc bedroom set and were told it came with a 5 drawer dresser. Then they decided that since we were getting a king bed they'd count the two twin box springs for the foundation as two pieces as well as the two bed rails. They shouldn't be allowed to do that, those should ALWAYS be sold as a SET and ALWAYS count as ONE. They robbed us of the dresser and changed the set so that we'd be getting less pieces but they could still count it up to 14. Complete BS. On top of that, the low dresser is scratched, the bed frame is chipped, and the quilt set that came with the bed won't be here for over a week. Not even worth sending anything back because they'll make me pay a return pickup fee. Screw that. Will not EVER buy furniture from Ashley again. A bunch of commission-hungry con artists. I had been looking at couches on Amazon and Overstock and decided that before I order something online I would go into Ashley to see what compares. I was amazed at what I found. Great quality couches at better prices than I had looked at online, and if I buy them there I know for sure what I am getting where couches online could show up and not be comfortable, etc. So I finally talked to the sales rep. You know, it's like a car dealership. You avoid the sales rep at all cost, right? This sales rep's name is Brian Wilson and he was the coolest and most knowledgeable guy. I did a purchase and worst purchase I've made. I gave a $900 deposit and now they won't return my money. It's been two months no one contacts me regarding my case which I open that same day my items were delivered. The items were damaged!! Associates are so unprofessional I've been hung up on and no One helps me. I am filing a complaint to the Corporate office. Absolutely upset and disappointed in this company's customer service. Purchased a large sectional couch. Paid it in full (cost $4200) and didn't even finance it. Was given delivery dates by sales representative so when I called today to follow up wad then told there is a delay and won't be getting couch for another month and in 3 different shipments. I ordered the couch a month ago and now was told "estimated delivery date" is in November but still no guarantee. That is ridiculous it should not take 2-3 months or more to receive furniture. We've purchased here before and had a great experience (for the most part). Back story: we purchased a bedroom set and new mattress about a year ago. Got a great deal on it especially after haggling for it. Upon closing of the sale I noticed they charged me for delivery at about $120. I told them I was going to pick it up. I attempted to get the cash back but apparently because I financed they wouldn't be able to reimburse me. They gave me a $100 gift card for Ashley's. Sure it was $20 short, and only good at that store, but for the price I got the set for I bit the bullet. I don't enjoy leaving these reviews but I have to on this one. I also want to make it clear that Shane, the salesman was great he deserves 5 stars, he just got caught in the middle. Now last week my wife and I decided we wanted a new coffee table for our living room. We went to Ashley's and were immediately greeted by Shane, he was extremely friendly and non pushy. After searching around the showroom floor we found the piece we wanted. They were doing a 50% off sale so I was told my price. Now, I've worked sales for a while so I tend to haggle pretty hard and was able to use price matching to my benefit. I agreed to the price offered and went to pay. I planned on using the gift card that I was given from my last purchase and the rest cash. Well that's when the trouble started. After presenting the gift card I was immediately told I should have presented the gift card PRIOR to making a deal because according to "policy" they can only use gift cards on full retail prices. Even the manager said the same thing that they wouldn't honor a gift card with a deal. I should have been told this when I received the card, or else I would have tried harder to get my cash back from being charged a delivery fee. After a heated conversation with the manager, who walked off half way into this conversation he finally decided to honor the gift card. A gift card is a pre loaded amount of cash, it's pretty much the same as cash! So that how the merchandise is paid for shouldn't matter. With that being said, I will not give them anymore business. I've been a loyal Ashley customer for well over 14 years, I've bought at least 4 bedsets, 3 living room sets, 2 dining sets, 2 mattresses and accessories... in fact I don't even bother to go to any other local furniture seller in my area because I love the uniqueness that Ashley Furniture presents and despite many negative reviews about the quality of their furniture, I've never had an issue when it came to quality. My 1 star, however, is due to the fact that my wife and I came to this store looking for a dinning set for our formal living room. The salesperson that came up to us wasn't very helpful at all, he must have been new, I don't know because every couple of months or so that I go in there everyone looks new except for the managers. I wanted to see if they had a table that was posted on their ad. He insisted to waste my time showing me others that looked nothing like it or nothing of the color scheme I clearly insisted I wanted. He was very pushy and kept insisting that we can just order it and they'll deliver it and if I don't like it I can return with no hassle. LOL. I'm not as desperate as you sir. Anyways, we ended up finding one that I absolutely loved and feel in love with. This was the one that we had been patiently waiting a year for. All I needed was a measuring tape to see if it would fit in the space I have since it is kind of limited due to the huge living room set I had previous gotten from them. So I took my measurements and my next step was to go home and see if it would fit in that space. Mr. Desperate Salesman again kept insisting that I purchase now cause they're selling quick and may soon run out of stock, and again that if it didn't fit I could just have them pick it up and get my money back. I said no, I'm not going to waste your time or mine and order something that's not going to fit in the space I have. We proceeded to talk numbers. Mind you table set was listed at $3300 and they had a sale of 40% off. So with that and taxes and delivery he was giving me a price around $2800... and he said they have a 1yr no interest promotion. I said that I would never get a 3k ticket item for a 1yr and secondly I'm not ready and I don't know if it'll fit. He kept trying to sell so I could sign off, offering 2yrs now... lol... I told him for this I would probably take a 4 or 5 yr to be comfortable. He said that they don't offer those kind of numbers. I said my last purchase was with this terms... Long story short, after a good 45min of going back and forth we left empty handed but with a table in mind. There are always a variety of selections that are reasonably priced. I take off one star because I did not like the cliche moment when they have you sit at the computer with them and show me all the ways you helped me save money (insert eye roll) and then call the manager over to work his "magical" fingers to give us an even bigger discount. Save the dramatics folks, and just give me the price at the end. I know that you didn't give me the additional ten percent off for being the coolest customer that has ever graced your store. We went to their Black Friday sale and purchased 2 bedroom sets($$$$)THAT HAVE NOT BEEN DELIVERED COMPLETELY. First delivery(2 pieces) DAMAGED! BROKEN! Second delivery DEFECTIVE! (1piece,has to be returned) Yesterday I got a confirmation email and call for our delivery TODAY 12/27 BETWEEN 1-5 NO SHOW! NO CALL! To top it off, my husband asked for the afternoon off work to be home for delivery. I was told our bed would be available on 12/25 and would get an email ASAP...nope, not happening since the rep yesterday confirmed the delivery date had changed for 1/19! I'm so disappointed! Never had I imagined going through all this and sleeping on a mattress for this long (since we got rid of our old set) Something needs to be done, can't just keep selling furniture and having customers wait more than expected and told. This is such an inconvenience for us. I hope no one gets this kind of service and gets their delivery perfectly fine with no issues. Always thought getting my furniture at Ashley's was the best thing, was even thinking about getting a mattress recently... NOPE NOT GOING TO. Bought a couch that they stated would last 3 years or longer "built to last longer" like they stated. Sold me on a 5 year, warranty telling me it protects from rips, burn, animal damage, or any accidental damages. Little did I know it's only a way for them to get your money. After a year of owning the couches, one of my couches felt like it was starting to sink and our ottoman started to look lop sided. Called to place a claim, and was told it was automatically denied because it's considered wear and tear... I was a bit upset, especially since I paid over $3,500 on a set that was suppose to last. A few weeks later I found a tear on one of my cushion, don't know how it happened, but since it is still small, I'm assuming it must have happened by my dog, or my kids. Called and made a claim, was told to send pictures. Haven't heard anything in 2 weeks so I decided to call the warranty company to be told it was denied. They said it's to wear and tear. They said it's just the seam that came undone... IT'S TORN IN THE MIDDLE OF MY CUSHION... also they said that if they send a tech to get a better look at it, I have to pay out of pocket. First of all, let me just say that I have been purchasing all my furniture needs either thru this store or online for the past 5 years. I have loved all my purchases. However, a few months ago I purchased a Beautyrest mattress along with a bedroom set. Unfortunately, the mattress has developed many lumps and crevices. To say it is comfortable to lie on is a falsehood. I have contacted Ashley several times, and each time they have sent a rep to my house to measure the indentation of the crevices and take pictures of the lumps. After three separate representatives have come by, the final determination was made to not provide us with a new mattress. I purchased a bed in September 2022. I tried out the mattress in the store, and the sales clerk had me thinking I was buying a mattress just like the one I was trying out (very expensive mattress). However, when I received the mattress, I didn't lay on it until about 5 days later because I was moving and still living in my other house. My first night sleeping on the bed wasn't until about 5 days later, and that was when I realized it wasn't the same type of bed I tried out in the store, it was the total opposite. The bed was way too soft, and as the night went by, the bed sank down even more as I laid on it. I wanted a firm bed, and I told the sales clerk that's what I wanted. I told him, I wanted a firm bed, and that I didn't like soft beds. This bed is even worse than a soft bed, because it sinks more as the night goes by. I trusted the sales clerk when he put in my order that he was ordering me the bed that I wanted. I couldn't go to the store and complain at the time I slept in the bed, because I was preparing to fly out of state the next day. But as soon as I got back I called to let them know. The woman I talked to on the phone said they would get back with me in 72 hours. So, I waited a whole week and nobody called me back at all. So, I went into the store and they said I waited too late. They said I should have refused the bed as soon as it was delivered. But I didn't know it was in the condition it was in at that time. I honestly feel like they took advantage of me and swindled me. The bed was the worse bed I've ever purchased in my life and the most expensive. Not only is it way too soft, it also makes noise when first get into the bed (a squeaking sound). I thought I was purchasing a bed that would last me a very long time. I'm Very disappointed with that store's customer service. I wish I would have read the reviews before I went into the store. Just the worst customer service ever. I tried to get resolution on my lumpy mattress problem and they keep sending technicians to come out and measure the size of the lumps. They clearly are there for profit and dont care about the customer. I really did try to give them a chance to correct the problem with months of time to find resolution for me. I'm saying for the day because my fiance and I were there all DAY... and Hanz was there to help us. He answered all of our questions and concerns. He made great suggestions and listened to all of our comments. He showed us different options and explained everything to us thoroughly.
