I bought a sofa at the beginning of October and the planned delivery would be within a month, on the day of delivery I received a call informing me that due to the pandemic the sofa was not yet available and that they could not make the delivery until December something that I found understandable. A few days ago I received a message from the company notifying me to reply to the message to confirm the day and time of delivery which would be a couple of days later. The day of delivery arrived and I decided to call customer service because it was past the deadline, I was surprised that they told me that the delivery had been postponed because I had not confirmed the delivery which bothered me a little because, if there was done and they told me that the delivery now would be until January of the following year, how can it be possible !? They told me that they would send an email to the warehouse to see if it was possible to find a quicker date for delivery, they put me on hold and after 5 minutes they cut my call something that bothered me even more, what happens! I called again and they told me that "they would call me back once they had answers. The next day I called again to get answers and now it turns out that once again the sofa IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE FOR DELIVERY. This bothered me a lot because the day before they told me something completely different, are you lying to me? Are you playing with me? What kind of customer service do they have? guys after shopping with you I bought more things in other furniture stores and weeks later I already had everything. I decided to cancel my order because I no longer trust, they lied to me once and can do it again. When deciding to cancel the order, the response I received from the person who attended me was that they would return my money within 4 to 5 MONTHS, are you kidding me! Purchased Ashley bedroom bench on Dec 12 , was in stock told it woud be delivered on Dec 18 ..... Dec 22 came around no sign of it .... turns out I wouldn't receive it till end of January... gave me about a 50.00 credit which I wasn't happy with but dealed with it . Surprisingly it was delivered on Jan 9 ..... unfortunately it had major damage..... they sent a tech out (waste of time ) to say yup it's damaged it needs a new leg ... asked me "where's the new leg , call me back out when you get it !!! Updating my previous review from a month ago. After 5 months I FINALLY received my couches only for a whole piece to be missing. They were going to take it back but I made them leave it and we agreed to drive out of the way and pickup the piece when it's available which won't be for at least one month (no specific date was given). Now my gorgeous loft has a ghetto looking couch but honestly it's better than sitting on those foldable chairs for 5 months because they lied about the couches delivery date and lied about how it was in stock. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! Once you purchase the furniture, Ashley could care less what happens afterwards. What started out as a promising and exciting experience ended up being horrible. Having just moved to a new place, I was in need of living room and bedroom furniture. Juan Carlos, the sales member, helped guide us to purchase a 14 piece living room set, which was marketed at a discounted rate as well as a Tempurpedic bed and frame. We spent a good deal of money on these items. This was in August. It is currently December and I am still waiting for the delivery of these items. I have had my delivery rescheduled over five times, meaning; I have had to reschedule my work schedule to accommodate this delivery over five times. I work as a nurse on night shift so this is not an easy feat, especially given the severity of events this year. One of these delivery dates was actually confirmed one day prior and when that date came and the time of delivery passed, there was no furniture. I called customer service and they put me on hold for an hour until I could finally talk to a human. Apparently, the items had not been delivered to the warehouse and as a result, they never made it on the delivery truck. I was livid. I had been waiting for over five hours (after working a 12 hour night shift) and no one from Ashley had notified me of the change. I had to be the one to call to find out what was going on. After trying to troubleshoot these issues with customer service over the phone and getting nowhere, I decided to pay a visit to the store in person. I requested to speak to the manager and was told they were in a meeting. So the lady at the desk, who said her name was Adrina, said she could help me. I proceeded to tell her my situation and was immediately received with offputting responses and rude mannerisms. After I told her I had been waiting for my furniture since August, her direct response was "well I can't make the furniture." Ashley Furniture, is this how you train your team members, let alone your management, to speak to your customers? There was no apology for the inconvenience. To me, it came across as a "not my problem" moment. As a result, I requested to cancel the furniture that had not been received, as well as a refund. The whole experience has been a nightmare. I have shared this experience and will continue to share this experience with friends and coworkers who are in the market for new furniture. He told us the big showroom was in Colton and we could see all the styles on this big screen ipad type device in the middle of the store. From the shopping to the delivery, EVERYTHING was great!!! Andrea, the sales representative, was extremely knowledgeable and listened to what I was looking for and only showed me just that. Andrea let us talk out our preferences without interrupting or giving us the hard sales pitches. And she treated us as if we were family, but of course with more kindness and respect! I was very much dissatisfied with how this store customer care with my bedroom set I purchased Nov 6 2020. 5 pieces of bedroom set. On November 29, 2020 Sunday was the delivery date. Ashley furniture delivery men only delivered my bed frame, headboard and side rails. Ashely furniture did NOT deliver my 6 drawer chest with mirror. I called Sunday evening and 2 different customer service representatives in there answering service Dept, I was hung up on because my delivery was INCOMPLETE! I finally called for the 3rd time for almost one hour and finally spoke to a Yolanda who she claimed a manager however very poor gesture with my INCOMPLETE order. Customer pays for delivery fees and yet NO email,NO text message in writing that my delivery order was INCOMPLETE. Yolanda promised me just to shut me up that she would send me a $100.00 gift certificate for the inconvenience,incomplete order. The following day Monday, I called and spoke to again another customer service and I was told 2 different delivery date was going to be conducted, one for the mirror and one for the 6 chest drawer. I decided to drive myself to the Ashley Furniture Store where I originally purchased my 5 piece bedroom set and I had asked for the general manager and he refused to come out and have a eye contact and hear my situations of very POOR customer service over the telephone that Sunday, the day before so the front desk customer service employee by the last name Ruiz,female heavy set, was giving back in forth inside the general manager office and she gave me a date of delivery the following day Tuesday,NO show,NO delivery. FRAUDULENT ALERT!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!!! First and foremost, before you buy anything from this place, check online pricing. You will find that the same furniture would cost less (way less and they have free delivery). Let me start with the sales person who tries to sell us delivery when delivery was already for free. He tried making excuses that the free delivery will take some time to be shipped, about 5-10 days so he said we should upgrade. The following day, we found out that Amazon was selling for less and includes delivery and no tax. So we checked Ashley's website to find out the policy in price match. When we called, they stated that they do not price match which contradicts their website. So after being bounced back and forth from corporate to store, stating that the other can only grant what we want, we decided to cancel. Then they started making another excuse that they can not cancel because it's already shipped - flashback, sales person states that it would not be shipped until 5 to 10 days. They then stated they also can't cancel it unless we go to the store. Inconveniently, my husband went to the store only to wait 2 hours and nothing resolved. They said they will call him back or email the confirmation. NO ONE called back. Btw, somehow the manager's name changes every time And every time we asked for one, he or she is either in a meeting or with a customer. So needless to say they are a bunch of liars, too. . I did have one nice conversation with one of the staff on my latest call since no one called back to give an update. The poor girl had to hear the whole situation but she was the first one to say, "I am sorry". So if any manager is even reading this, perhaps you should change the way you do business. Wayfair and Amazon have greater customer service and respond time. You should promote Myesha who took the time to listen (and really listened). Demote Tom, John, Noleen and Charles who do not seem to know how to manage unless they were posing only as managers which explains a whole lot. They keep saying there is nothing we can do and make excuses that do not make any sense. One of them even advised to have it delivered and then bring back to the store. It's called inconvenient and we don't have a big truck. He even said it would fit in our car since it was flat. No, it's not flat and let's say it is, there were 6 of them. They tell you in store 7-10 business days but they don't tell you that's estimated - my order was placed and they aren't even shipping it until 15 days after THEN it starts the 7-10 business days so overall could be over a month...... when I called to cancel they said they couldn't because the label is already made. Horribly irresponsible. This is my first negative review of any business. Ashley HomeStore has no integrity. They have no interest in fixing their mistake and pain they've caused. We bought a sofa-set to replace our old ones in early November and scheduled delivery one month later in December. The evening before scheduled delivery, they called to say delivery is cancelled because the sofa is unavailable and will not be delivered at least one month later until January. I explained that I just had the old furniture hauled away by the trash company in reliance of the new furniture delivery. The sales person assured us that the furniture we chose is available. I could have kept my old furniture, if they gave me earlier notice of delivery cancellation. Now, my family and I have an empty living room for the Christmas and New Year's holidays. Their response is I can cancel my order. I understand mistakes happen, but how a business responds to the mistake represents who they are and whether they care about customers. I learned the hard way that they lack integrity. They created the problem and then abandoned us. My family and I will still try to have a good Christmas by using our beach chairs in the living room. I originally gave 5 stars because the people at Ashley furniture were so kind, however, I received my couch broken (the wood on the back had snapped in delivery). I called to ask for a replacement and they said they couldn't replace but they can fix it (they also said this happens often). They've been here at least 5 times and it still hasnt been fixed, almost a year later. The kind manager at the store tried to get us a new one because he agreed we should have one, but the company wouldn't approve.
