We have had such great shopping and purchasing experiences at this location! In the last 6 months we purchased our bed set, a dining room set and a kitchen table set all with the help of Levon (who I highly recommend working with!). We are currently waiting on the kitchen and dining room sets as we just purchased this weekend, but they're already scheduled for delivery next Friday (talk about quick service! Apparently there's an Ashley Factory in NC which makes for quick delivery). We purchased and received the bed set a few months ago and delivery was so quick and easy. They called to give us a heads up they were almost there, came in, quickly put everything together and were out within 20 minutes. A few days later we did notice one of the end tables had some areas that looked like they had been chipped and they tried to cover it up (but it looked terrible) so we stopped in at the store, explained the situation and they quickly got us scheduled for a swap out. I went in with my boyfriend July 11th and purchased a bed mattress, box, and frame. The sale rep told us it will take 7-10 days to get them delivered. We were set for delivery today only to find out it was a partial delivery for a pillow. We did NOT purchase any pillows we left the store with two pillows per the sale rep it was included. Now they're saying my bed frame is estimated to be delivered till September which is two months more than we were told. Also I originally wanted a different bed frame but once the sale rep told me it was on back order I decided to go with a different one that didn't have an extended delivery window. Not only that but now we're not getting our bed mattress and box till in two weeks. We have taken our old mattress out since we were told we would get our bed delivered today. Then they sent it to the wrong address. Then when i did receive the order one piece was the wrong color. So three weeks latter they planned a delivery--to the wrong address AGAIN. I've been on hold for over an hour. Same song over and over. I'm just going to let them go to the wrong address again. If you buy from Ashley just expect everything to go to shit. WARNING! Do NOT buy from Ashley Furniture. On 2/8, I purchased a sleeper sofa and a mattress with a box spring from Ashley Furniture, and the experience has been a complete nightmare from start to finish. To even receive a discount, they require you to open a Wells Fargo credit card. I should have walked out of the store at that moment. They will do everything they can to pressure you into signing up. After delivery and unboxing on 2/14, both items began emitting an extremely strong chemical odor. The smell kept getting worse until I had to keep all doors and windows open, even on a cold day. After researching the issue, I learned that these odors are likely VOCs. VOCs can cause dizziness, headaches, asthma flare ups, allergy symptoms, and other health issues. Some VOCs are known carcinogens. I have severe asthma and allergies, and so do others in my home. The smell quickly became unbearable, so I contacted the store to request a full refund and return. Instead of allowing me to speak with the location that sold me the items, Ashley forces all customers to go through Customer Care, which has been anything but helpful. Emily, the Warranty Manager for Customer Care, openly acknowledged that the smell from the furniture can last weeks. She told me I could not return the mattress because the receipt states that mattresses are not returnable. What the receipt does not say is that the furniture might emit a toxic chemical odor that makes it unsafe to keep in the home. This is Ashley Furniture failing to uphold their end of the bargain. They offered to send cleaners on Monday, which is not an acceptable solution. No amount of cleaning will remove toxic VOCs. If I wanted to return the sleeper sofa, they would charge a 25% restocking fee. Emily also claimed nothing could be done immediately because the workers had already gone home, even though the business is open seven days a week. This makes no sense, since the store is open, and is unacceptable. Upon hearing this, I demanded to speak to the store. Over the phone, Milan Jimenez, the salesperson who sold me the items, admitted that he did not inform me about strong odors or prolonged off gassing. I was originally told the smell would go away in a few days. This not true. When I pointed out that his statement contradicted what Emily said, I asked to speak to a manager. Jordan, who is one of the managers, was then put on the line. He was unprofessional, rude, and completely unhelpful. He said he did not know what was going on because he was not the one who sold me the furniture. You are the manager of the store, which means it is your responsibility to handle issues like this. His response showed a lack of accountability and a lack of basic customer service skills. I spent about $2,500, and the business was not willing to provide an immediate solution or a full refund. I told Jordan that the so called solutions that he and Emily offered were not solutions at all. I informed him that I would be contacting the BBB and the North Carolina Attorney General, which I have done. He then tried to tell me what I should and should not write, and that I should mention that they tried to help me. They did not try to help me. They refused to provide a real fix and to issue a full refund. A manager has no right to tell a customer what they can write in a review or in a complaint to government agencies. Customers have a 1st Amendment right to warn others about products that can harm their health. For the record, I have bought plenty of furniture over the years and have never experienced anything like this. I have never had brand new furniture arrive with such a toxic smell that it could not safely remain inside my home. To make matters worse, the mattress appeared damaged at one end and two buttons have fallen off of the sleeper sofa. I noticed this after the delivery team had left. What is even more concerning is that Ashley Furniture's manager attempted to dictate what I could and could not say in my review. That is completely unacceptable. Customers have every right under the 1st Amendment to share their experiences truthfully. Based on everything I have dealt with, it is clear that Ashley Furniture has little regard for customer health, transparency, or accountability. They need to train their managers and sales associates on basic customer service skills and not get angry when a customer is frustrated with their lack of care or empathy. I bought a theater seat that massages and has heat and was told I had 30 days to return it if I did not like it and they would make it right. After one week I could not sit on the furniture because it hurt my back and hips, it was so uncomfortable for me. I called the lady that helped me when I first went in the store and now she's telling me I only had three days to exchange it. After a month of being jerked around, I was told by the sales lady why don't you just sell the family or put it on marketplace and get rid of it and then we can get you more furniture. That was so unacceptable.. today I went into the store and talked to the manager and he told me there was nothing he could do. His hands were tied.. not one single person tried to help me or offer a solution to my problem because they simply did not care. This store treated me very unfairly as a customer. The general manager was rude and blamed us for their mistake. There was a uniformed sales agent who helped me design a couch that should never have been ordered. They put two pieces together where one side was fully unfinished and had exposed wood and no material. They did not inform us that this would be the case and look bad in our living room. We ultimately returned this unfinished piece once it was delivered and we saw that it was unusable and ordered another piece. I understand the mistake, but this store then had the audacity to charge us an additional shipping charge to have the correct piece shipped. The general manager repeatedly blamed us for not knowing the details of their couch design and punished us by refusing to waive the extra shipping cost which was a result of their incompetence. read more

Stopped in today to look for a few pieces of furniture. The sales lady who offered to assist was very pleasant and not pushy. I realize that this is not a high end brand but for casually used furniture it serves its purpose for the price. It's worth a walk through. I'm not a fan of over stuffed seating or oversized chairs but if you're in the market for that style then this is a store to check out. My advice is to always question the weight capacity for the chairs to ensure that it's sufficient for the user. At the price point here I would question if the frames are solid wood or a composite material. All in all it's not a bad store and worth a look. read more

I was very satisfied with the shopping experience with the staff at that time, and that's the really good memories! Today , I went to the store again to use my certificate for small items. I got same high-quality service like last time! They not only helped me for what I preferred to buy, but also checked on line products, and ordered for me. Sales associates Rosie and Londell were great. The delivery drivers absolutely suck. They would not move my mattress and box spring as promised. I had to move mattress and box spring on my own. Was left with an unpacked box spring unassembled in my bedroom Saturday afternoon and will not come and assemble it until Monday. Not hopeful that that will go as planned. Very disappointed in this experience. It's true...customer service no longer exists. It's not just Ashley..had a similar experience with Mattress Firm delivery drivers. Nobody wants to work anymore. His response to us was timely and he was helpful in getting us a number of discounts. We liked his down-to-earth conversation and I recommend working with this salesman. After the sale, he has worked to upgrade our delivery process at no cost; we initially had them to drop off the mattress at our house, but they have texted us and stated they will now deliver it to us sooner and give us the "white glove treatment" with setup. Ashley furniture is the worst place ever to get new furniture. So far our order has been pushed out every single week for almost 2 months now. Even when they have brought some of the furniture we have bought it has either come in broke, missing hardware to put it together or missing part of the actual product. Customer service has told us too bad you signed off off on the contract and they will not refund the delivery fees or let us cancel without a 20% restock fee ( even though it's not in stock). Today when bringing the bedroom suite they put a nice don't in the wall and left the bed in pieces on the floor. I warn anyone reading this to stay as far away from this place. They will over promise and under deliver.....Was able to talk with the manager tonight and he will get back with us tomorrow about a resolution. My experience was a disaster two weeks ago. First, it started off pretty good, I was helped and then allowed to view dining room sets on my own. I was ready to purchase, mind you I was price matching the online store just in case the store tried some trickery. I placed the order and the gentleman who helping me stated the dollar amount. This amount was about a $100.00 difference. So I show him the online price and ask why it was the same AND whether they could match it. He proceeds to tell me the increase is because of shipping/delivery which was $100. So my thought was you were going to ring me up and not even go through each price? Sub-par customer service but I continued with the order with NO shipping/delivery. I specifically state Saturday only works for me. He confirms and we go to the cashiers desk. This is where it gets worse and unprofessional. The Assistant Manager is checking me out, swipes my card, then ironically she says we cannot delivery on Saturdays if you do free shipping/delivery. I state excuse the gentleman confirm it wasn't an issue. She then unprofessional stated on the headset, "So and So get you butt over here". And proceeds to scold him for the mistake, while it was very unprofessional, I do not blame him for going back at her, she was rude! So I ask her about the delivery timeline and she explains it which is inconvenient. So she suggest I order online and talk with customer service. So I tell her to void the transaction. MAKE SURE YOU TRIPLE CHECK IF you go there. The fact that the Assistant Manager was unprofessional in front me, a customer service, give insight on how the whole operation is. I was actually happy with my new mattress. The delivery process was great as well. The reason for my 2-star review was the poor customer care I received. During the sale, the salesman made some offensive and inappropriate comments. I reported them to the store manager and also contacted the corporate office through the company website. BUYER BEWARE - THEY CHARGE A 25% RESTOCKING FEE. Do NOT believe the salespersons claims regarding returning furniture. They will tell you you can return it in the first 72 hours with "no problem" which is a flat out lie. I have purchased over $11k in furniture over the last month and expressed concern that two of the chairs would be too big for my space. Was reassured multiple times I could return them in the first 72 hours with no issues and am now finding out there is a 25% restocking fee which is costing me a whopping $500 in addition to the $500 I paid for delivery. You have lost a customer for life over this policy as well as how your representative responded with a sarcastic attitude when called out on the misrepresentation. I bought furniture here. The store is nice, the sales people are nice. Be aware that there is a 300 dollar delivery charge - and this is for local delivery. Secondly, it takes months to get your furniture but they hit the credit card immediately. So you pre-pay for the furniture so that Ashley can then use your money to buy it from the manufacturer, and then you wait months to get it. Also, you get a delivery day. Then later, roughly a day before delivery, they will give you a 4 hour window. If you confirm the day then you have to accept the 4 hour window you get or they charge you another $50 to find another day. I will never shop here again. read more

We have recently purchased a new home and are looking at different furniture to see what we want to buy. We went in Ashley to just look and get an idea of what we want. I actually saw a leather sofa that I really wanted, but because of the fact that Linda continued to bother me every 5 minutes or so, I decided that I would absolutely not buy anything from this place as long as she is there. I'm from the west coast so I'm used to going to IKEA - this place has a very similar feel. It's affordable furniture that's not the most intricate in design. My wife and I bought a house and needed a few things to fill the place. These guys are a one-stop-shop with everything that you'd need. This store has a large layout with separate sections for contemporary and classic furniture. There's also a separate section for kids' furniture and for some reason, a section for recliner couches. I guess there's a big need here for couches that recline - I get the inner desire to make a comfortable seat even more decadent - but I was a little surprised that an entire section of the store was devoted to it. There was some wiggle room as far as negotiating. I definitely felt like I got a good deal but I also felt like they got a fair price for everything that we bought. They were flexible on the delivery date and held the things we bought for about six weeks. Overall, I had a good experience. I'd recommend this place for stater furniture with the intent to upgrade over time. read more

We've had a very poor experience with this store. Customer service is lackluster at best. We ordered a bedroom set with an expected delivery date of Aug. 9th. We were called a few days before that date and informed that delays would prevent delivery until Aug. 16th. They offered to refund our shipping charge so we stuck it out. Today we were told it would take another week past that date. Keep in mind that we needed to coordinate the delivery of the furniture with Goodwill's pickup service for the old furniture. This service needed to be scheduled in advance, and having to continuously cancel and reschedule was a huge inconvenience. We are more than a month out from the date we ordered the furniture, and still nothing. Bottom line: Highly unprofessional handling of inventory. Now as a delivery driver myself I know what it's like to get to a customer and give them the news. He ask if the store had called and I informed him that the only calls I received were the calls letting me know about my delivery and that the driver was a few minutes out. I called the store (866-634-4890) and asked about this and the women on the other end said they called and left voice messages on both mine and my wife's phone no such call or message.
