I had a great experience with Ashly. My rug was over 40 years old had only been cleaned once in its lifetime and had a corner torn off. We were going to size it down to even it out. To my surprise they wove a new corner on. Against my order. They picked up the extra cost of the weave and apologized for this. I am so glad they weaved the corner . I have 4 large 14 x 12 wool rugs that needed to be cleaned. I have 2 cats and a dog, so they had some "pet stains". I called my usual company and they sent one guy who said he wasn't allowed to move furniture. One rug was under a king bed, another under a baby grand piano, the other two were in the dining room (with a table and chairs of course) and living room (with 2 couches and a large coffee table). How in the heck was he going to get these rugs without moving furniture!!! I took 3 Persian rugs to get cleaned and have the stains removed. When I asked the lady if it was possible, she said the carpets would be hand washed and all the stains would be removed. When I went to pick them up today, I noticed none of the stains were removed and when I pointed it out to the lady she said she can't treat the stain because it would ruin the rugs. She should have said this when I initially dropped off the rugs instead of misleading me. A big waste of time and money. Response to Owner comment: It's so sad the way the owner responds to comments. To begin, I paid the full price that your sales associate offered at the beginning. Second, I was told the rug would be hand washed and the stains would be removed. Your sales associate did not explain there is a separate charge or separate treatment for removal of stains. I asked her multiple times would this work and she replied yes every time. She never asked what kind of stain or what caused the stain. From the beginning she said that the company will hand wash the rug and the only other product offered to us was adding the nonslip material to the bottom of the rug. Next, I would like to point out that none of the three rugs are white. Since you were not present at the transaction, as the owner you should have a much more respectable response. Your sales associate mislead the customer and made a mistake. If there was another treatment for an additional charge she should have told us instead of guaranteeing that the hand wash would remove the stains. read more

I own a cream color hemp area rug and have a large senior citizen dog that had a bladder infection which led to multiple large stains on the rug. I called at least 10 carpet cleaners who wouldn't clean it because of the fibers. I called Ashly's and they took it in immediately (and offered to pick it up) and had it cleaned in a week. I did a search on the web for a fine carpet cleaning service and I came accross Alex and his lovely wife Helena, a wonderful professional couple. I conversed with them by email and Alex responded very quickly everytime. I fined out they knew the requirements for cleaning and taking care of my aerloom silk and wool carpet. We agreed on the price and the turnaround time and scheduled the drop of that saved me a bundle on the total cost. Upon arrival at the shop Alex electronically scaned the carpet for hidden stains that were not visible to the eye. They also trimed and evened out the fringes that was icing on the cake.
