The selection here leaves a lot to be desired, and maneuvering around the store is a bit of a hassle. There is a nice selection of bulk boba shop supplies which is potentially useful, but there is very little else worth mentioning that you couldn't get from Sari-Sari or Tim's nearby in a much more convenient fashion. The store owners or employees were loudly taking personal phone calls at the counter, and it overall was not a spot I would come back to unless I were having an event with a boba bar or something and needed to buy bulk ingredients.

When you see the store manager walk in and open the doors literally 5 min before opening time... it's a red flag Kinda dumpy, crowded aisles of boxes of inventory piled high, it's claustrophobic Reminds me of a Typical old Asian grocery store from ages past They have the basics but that's it The staff isn't very friendly, nor helpful, tho I hate to say that's typical too Parking lot is big and shared with other small businesses but also needs renovation Not worth returning Not much stuff I couldn't get online from elsewhere Limited in fresh fruits and food.

This market reminded me of the infamous Ranch 99 market on the west coast. It is huge and covers as much as it can in regards produce, meats/seafood, groceries, baked goods, and home goods. Aisles are stocked and towards the registers, most floor space is covered with groceries. I was happy to find bean sprouts, bok choy, and cilantro - fresh and at a decent price compared to the normal supermarket. A bag of bean sprouts here was a $1+.... at the supermarket $3+! There are live tanks of tilapia/seafood, not my thing, and a large meat section- think every organ/part of animal sold too. I was able to buy my panko, mochiko, ube flavoring , and krupuk here. They have Indo seasonings yay! , but unfortunately did not have my nasi kuning (yellow rice) mix at the time. Looked like most of the buns/pastries were sold out. Noticed some plants for sale outside and lots of lucky bamboo inside. To the far left of the store as you enter, there's a food vendor/ teas/boba stand- not sure what he all sold, but noticed a customer was very happy with her drink. When I got home, I immediately prepared egg rolls...now, I haven't made them in years! So it was fun and yummy to be able to make them again. I'll be back! Located far northeast, it's a trek for me, but I'll have a carefully planned list on my next visit : )

This Asian market is a little smaller than other markets in San Antonio but they still had a decent variety of product. I was able to find a couple different flavors of spicy buldak ramen that I have been wanting to try.

These are good. Not too spicy thorough.Very like barbecue level spice.Similar flavor, with a really neat deep, ripple.

They've got a large selection of Goya products, canned foods and dry beans and spices. They've got a healthy selection of Caribbean colas, which are always fun. I could try them all! The frozen selection is amazing! They've got heaps of food that has been imported from afar to end up here under ice. There's a small produce selection that seems to favor plantains. If they don't have it fresh, they'll have it frozen. My favorite were the large African sculptures they were selling by the door. The clerk was friendly and said "hi" when I came in. The merchandise looked all pretty fresh. I wish there were some things to help explain what some of the ingredients and products were. It'd be nice if they had recipes or cards that explained that these items are snacks, and these are ingredients. But if I had any questions, the clerk was happily standing by to answer. Parking is easy- it's in an African/Filipino strip shopping center. Cool.

There were no prices listed and I never imagined paying that much. Mind you once we got home and the items were pour of this world, I may have had a change of heart. But I bought my son a square of pistachio baklava, not 24k enrobed anything and it was nothing special. Actually, he's had better at other places in town. Definitely not a place we will return to EVER again! Back to our the tried and true place Baklavah bakery with reasonable prices and delicious and stunning food!

So, I went on a quest to find it just with the knowledge of the cross streets. I found it! The bakery sells hot and packaged items. They have a freezer with goodies too. I had the zaatar bread and cheese bread. It was heated up in a brick oven. There's a lot of savory items, but they also have some sweet. He gave me a sample of a dessert made with dates. Of course, I had to order some baklava. There were so many things I wanted to taste, but I had already had lunch. The guy working that day tried his best to help us make a good choice. The place is small. They do have one table, but I suspect the food is mostly taken to go. Parking is on site and shared, but plentiful.

The Indian Super Market has a whole produce section. Most of the stuff you can find at HEB, but they've got some harder to find stuff. The spices here are amazing- they have a whole aisle with so many different spices. Christopher Columbus was willing to travel halfway around the planet to get the Indian subcontinent's spices, you don't have to go so far! In the center of the store is a little snack bar where they're serving up authentic Indian street food for here or to-go. The best part about this place is the snack aisle with all these strange flavors and exotic tastes to munch on. I also enjoy the frozen section which includes all kinds of ready to go vegetarian food, and desserts. The store is clean and well lit. The staff is friendly, but offers little advice on how to use the spices. That's the internet's job. The prices are mainly pretty good, considering that this stuff has all come from so far away. There's some real deals on the snacks! You won't find most of the merchandise here, except for the produce, at HEB. My only complaint about this place is that a few times I've gotten items that I've brought home, and found that they're long past their expiration dates, and the past-due expiration dates were either strategically covered with a price tag, or a sticker, or in one case- White Out. I've been more careful to make sure that the items are still fresh while shopping here.
